The staff is wonderful, especially Fabio at the front desk, who went above and beyond for us with every little thing. The hotel is beautiful, the food is fresh and delicious, and the room is perfect. Perfect location for going on trips and sightseeing (we had a car).

Wundervolle Anlage mit sehr schönem Garten und Pool. Toller Ausblick beim Frühstück. Unglaublich freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Das Frühstück mit den selbstgemachten Süßstückchen war das Highlight! Ebenso das sehr gute Abendessen mit lokalen Spezialitäten.

The building was amazing, with stunning furniture,art and sculptures everywhere you looked. It was surrounded by the most beautiful gardens with hidden seating and benches everywhere. The best bit of it all,was the staff! They could not do enough for us. They were truly amazing!! One of the best places we have stayed at. We left truly relaxed and sad to go.

Tolles Hotel mit einem sensationellen Garten - selten so eine schöne Oase gesehen… sehr aufmerksames Personal und toller Service. Gutes Frühstück, aber bei diesem Level sollten Säfte und Eierspeisen nicht separat berechnet werden…

Das Restaurant schafft leider nicht ganz das Niveau des Hotels - das Essen rangiert in der oberen Mittelklasse, ist aber für das Niveau deutlich zu teuer.

Eine Ruheoase abseits des Touristentrubels mitten im authentischen Teil der Amalfiküste mit Blick auf den Vesuv und wunderschöner Frühstücks-Dachterrasse. Nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal!

Die Preise im Restaurant zu hoch, dafür die Portionen zu klein. Aber sehr sehr lecker. Leider nichts für das „normale“ Urlaubsbudget und nichts für jeden Abend, außer man kann es sich leisten 🤷🏻‍♀️ Ich bin auch der Meinung, dass man mehr an der Bar trinken würde, wenn die Getränke günstiger wären. Kleinere Preise, höherer Konsum, mehr Umsatz 🤷🏻‍♀️

La struttura è indubbiamente molto bella, la cosa più bella è la piscina, grandissima e personale gentile.

Purtroppo ho avuto una reazione allergica agli asciugamani non so se della stanza oppure a quelli della piscina. Ho avuto macchie rosse sulle braccia e sulle gambe per tanti giorni.

This was a beautiful hotel with exceptional facilities. The staff were caring and attentive but without being intrusive in any way. Food was exceptional and the pool and loungers were lovely too. The bar was brilliant too and it was enjoyable to experience the luxury. We would definitely look to return when next visiting the area.

The breakfast was okay but the view from the breakfast room was very good. The pool was nice and surprisingly quiet. The staff were helpful and the hotel itself is beautiful.

The hotel isn’t very well located it is best reached by car or taxi, walking isn’t far but a bit daunting in the heat. The facilities in the room could have been a bit more generous our coffee and milk could have been replenished better.

My partner and I visited Medusa Hotel for the day using a day pass, as we weren’t staying at the hotel, and we had such a lovely experience from start to finish. We spent the day relaxing by the beautiful pool and were welcomed with a drink on arrival, followed by an absolutely delicious lunch. I also booked a massage in the spa, which was a real highlight — the spa is incredibly luxurious and such a relaxing space. Every member of staff we met was so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and they really made us feel looked after even though we weren’t hotel guests. A perfect place to spend a relaxing day, and somewhere we would definitely return to. I would highly recommend Medusa Hotel and their day pass experie

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, spraken vlot Engels + uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet.

Verouderde badkamers (kunnen wat liefde gebruiken). Hotel had tijdens ons verblijf de pech dat het te kampen had met een mierenplaag, aanwezigheid grote tuin + warmte zorgde voor deze overlast. Personeel was echter zeer behulpzaam om dit op te lossen (direct andere kamer gekregen).

Las instalaciones y el entorno son estupendos. Además, el personal es muy atento.

No me gustó la cama supletoria pues no era de la calidad de un hotel con esta categoría, era un sofá cama con un colchón muy malo. Imposible estar cómodo y dormir bien. Además, en la zona del hotel no hay cobertura de internet y aunque el hotel pone el wifi, no tiene la suficiente calidad como para ver las plataformas de streaming en la TV. Algo que también ya es habitual en cualquier alojamiento. También comentar que aunque la limpieza era muy buena, había hormigas en la habitación, se eliminaban tras la limpieza, pero siempre volvían a salir.

Ideally situated to see everything Sorrento and Amalfi, this hotel is only 30 minutes away from Naples Airport! So what makes this hotel stand out are two things: 1) the grounds - they are stunning - lovely pool and gardens which require exploring in themselves. The pool is magnificent - especially if you’ve had a hard day trying in the heat! We were there for 5 nights and each day we went back to the pool! 2) The service is well worthy of 5 stars. Now to be clear, this isn’t a 5 star place and whilst I’ve rated 5 stars that’s based on the experience. Unconditionally, every person who worked there was brilliant and went above and beyond for you! So now the location! Assuming you’re wanting to do Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompei etc … this is so incredibly well placed ….. if you have a vehicle! We hired a scooter on the first day - by the way, we’re in our 50s, it was the best thing we did! We did everything and became experts at going into Sorrento! The hotel organised our scooter and it was seamless! So we saw the best of everything in the day and came back to a wonderful hotel with a wonderful pool! There are some minor changes I would make to the food etc … however for what we paid, the service we received and what we experienced …. Gosh! … amazing! So if you have a vehicle of some sort … we recommend a scooter - the. This is your place! Taxi and Ubers will cost you. Pretty penny in them for little travel! All in all a great hotel, we will be back And thank you to all that staff of La Medusa!

Our stay at the Medusa Hotel - Dimora di Charme at Castellammare di Stabia was a delight. The location is perfect for discovering all the beauties of the Region. The hotel is very charming and very comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious Italian local food. And finally and most importantly the staff has been most kind and very attentionate during all our stay, with a special mention to Genero for his great professionalism and precious advice. We highly recommend this charming hotel. 

Amazing beautiful hotel with a nice spa, very green, interior is designed with the taste. But best part of our stay was care and hospitality of the staff, and service across all hotel and restaurants was excellent. Also bed was so comfortable, I had the best sleep in years and didn’t want to leave!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The manager in particular was exceptional, giving an overall impression of excellence. The swimming pool was huge and there were plenty of sunbeds, so there was never a feeling of the area being overcrowded. Having waiter service from the sunbed was also a nice touch. The gardens are beautiful and extensive, with plenty of seating for a pre-dinner drink. The food at dinner was excellent and it was lovely to be able to eat on the outside terrace. The shuttle service to the station was helpful and enabled us to catch the train to Sorrento, which is definitely worth a visit. From here you can catch ferries to Capri and Positano etc. After a day trip with the crowds of Sorrento and Capri, La Medusa Hotel felt like an oasis of calm and luxury.

I would have preferred more cooked breakfast options and less cakes.

Mooi hotel op een prachtig domein. Het hotel ligt wel zeer afgelegen. De baan naar het stadje is eigenlijk ook niet echt voor voetgangers bedoeld. Je hebt dus eigenlijk een taxi of auto nodig om je te verplaatsen. Heel mooi en verwarmd zwembad met uitstekende ligbedjes.

Het ontbijt is niet wat je verwacht voor dergelijk hotel. Het roerei was echt vreemd klaargemaakt (eigenlijk echt niet te eten) en de chocolademelk was niet te drinken. De eerste dag was de watermeloen zuur (dit hebben we gemeld). Indien je een pannenkoek wou of een spiegelei moest je extra bijbetalen (8 euro voor 2 speigeleitjes en 8 euro voor 1 pannenkoek). Als je rekening houdt met de prijs die je betaalt voor dit hotel, is dit er echt wel over. Dit kan niet! Vers fruitsap kon je gratis krijgen op aanvraag, maar je kreeg telkens maar een kwart glaasje. Heel vervelend dat je telkens moest bijvragen. Te meer omdat dit het enige was dat wij dronken bij het ontbijt.

It was a bit isolated, we had to rely on (free) shuttles to get into town and taxi (20€) to get back to the hotel from the city centre after 17:00.

An oasis in a busy area perfect to use as a base and explore. The hotel is beautiful, but what makes it extra special are the staff who are professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

Great luxury in old style hotel. Friendly staff. Good base for exploring the bay of Naples. The food was very good and the non alcoholic cocktail called ”David” was very nice. Great breakfast on the rooftop terrace.

The hotel is not in easy walking distance of the town. The free shuttle service only ran occasionally, so we had to use taxis to get to and from the station.

We loved the views from the restaurant in the morning. Pompeii was just laid out at your feet. The Terrace dining was lovely in the evening. And the access to Pompeii was perfect.

The food was just so-so. It was very pricey so the value wasn't altogether there on the food at the property. The bathroom was a bit outdated and had some mold issues in the shower.

The pool area was superb, lovely pool and clean, the pool manager was very helpful. The Eden Spa was amazing, highly recommended. The evening dinner is set on a beautiful terrace, service from the team was equally amazing making us feel very special, high quality be it a little pricy. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The location, 10 mins from Castellammare DI Stabia, not too much to the see or do in town. more atmosphere from 7pm onwards when the locals head into town. A good couple of pizza and pasta restaurants - La Monica's on the sea front was super, good quality pizza at a very reasonable price.

Such a wonderful hotel with a clean and attractive pool. The staff were amazing, they simply couldn't do enough for you!!!!. We especially loved sitting on the veranda at breakfast looking over at the fabulous views of Vesuvius and the bay. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

This hotel was beautiful. The grounds were very relaxing and filled with many beautiful scenery. The employees were all very professional and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and their air conditioning was amazing; especially since most places in Italy does not have air conditioning like we know it.

Nous sommes arrivés à l’hôtel avec nos bagages, mais personne n’est venu nous aider. Le bagagiste était présent à proximité, sans pour autant proposer de prendre nos valises. A notre départ les femmes à la réception se sont montrées désagréable , avec un ton hautain et peu professionnel. C’est vraiment regrettable pour un établissement classé 4 étoiles. Le parking est payant (15 €). Les explications étaient peu claires en raison de la barrière de la langue, et on nous a d’abord indiqué que nous ne pourrions pas récupérer notre voiture une fois garée. Finalement nous avons appris que le parking est simplement fermé de minuit à 6 h du matin. Enfin, le quartier est très sale et ne donne pas un sentiment de sécurité. Au vu de cette expérience, je ne recommande pas du tout cet hôtel.

Das Hotel war wir eine Oase und nur 5 Autominuten von der kleinen Innenstadt entfernt. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr familiär und wir haben uns wie ein Teil der Familie gefühlt. Unglaublicher Service und Arbeit mit Herz. Wir haben sogar persönliche Tourempfehlungen erhalten. Als unsere Bootstour am Hafen abgesagt wurde, hat das Hotel sofort den Hotelbus losgeschickt, um uns kostenlos abzuholen.

Gorgeous hotel, excellent pool with jacuzzi’s, views from the room and the breakfast room. Garden was fabulous at day and night. The best of all, was the friendliness of the staff, and the level of service especially in the restaurants.

The price-quality of the food was disappointing, but the friendliness of the staff and visual appearance of the restaurants compensated for this.

We stayed at La Medusa for 3 nights and loved every minute. We had a sea view room with a balcony, it was beautifully furnished with a lovely bathroom and shower. Room size was good for Italy. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and dinner - food and service were both excellent and the dining room is beautiful with high ceilings and a nice ambiance. The bar is intimate and friendly. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the town centre but it’s a pleasant stroll at any time of day. A lovely hotel and we’d be happy to return.

An exceptional hotel with top notch staff. After travelling the length of the country, the welcome drink on arrival was a godsend. The Wellness centre is within the gardens and honestly felt like Eden. We plan to book again very soon!

Wir waren von Beginn an sehr zufrieden. Mit dem Mietwagen vorgefahren, Gepäck wurde direkt ausgeladen und aufs Zimmer gebracht sowie das Auto geparkt. Schneller Check-In, Begrüßungstrunk und dann das Hotel genießen. Das Hotel hat ein sehr gutes Restaurant, welches wir teils zum Mittagessen, wie auch zum Abendessen genutzt haben. Sonderwünsche beim Essen wurden immer umgesetzt. Wir wollten abends nicht mehr mit dem Auto irgendwo hinfahren. Ob es fußläufig Möglichkeiten gibt, ist uns nicht bekannt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer, welches auf den Hoteleingang mit Blick auf eine kleine Parkanlage, gerichtet war. Nach hintenheraus hat man Garten-, in den oberen Etagen Meerblick sowie Aussicht auf den Vesuv. Das Frühstück wurde in der obersten Etage eingenommen, mit einer unfassbaren schönen Aussicht auf den Golf von Neapel sowie den Vulkan. Das Hotel hat weiterhin einen schönen Pool und einen Wellness-/SPA-Bereich (separater Bereich im Garten), den wir aber nicht genutzt haben (ggfs. kostenpflichtig je nach Zimmerkategorie). Die große Gartenanlage ist ein Traum und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Einen großen Dank geht an die stets sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter (Empfang, Service, Bar, Zimmerreinigung und Pool). Das Hotel eignet sich hervorragend für Ausflüge (z.B. Bootstouren Capri, Amalfi Küste oder aber auch mit dem Auto zur Amalfi Küste, Neapel, Pompeji).

Für uns hat alles gepasst. Für längere Aufenthalte (wir waren dort 5 Nächte) könnte ggfs. die Restaurantkarte etwas größer sein, zumindest wenn man vor hat, jeden Tag im Hotel zu essen. Bestimmte Zusatzleistungen müssen beim Frühstück ggfs. extra bezahlt werden.

Nous avons passé un séjour absolument incroyable à La Medusa Hotel & Boutique Spa. L’hôtel est tout simplement magnifique, niché dans un cadre verdoyant et calme avec une vue superbe sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve. Les chambres sont spacieuses, décorées avec beaucoup de goût, et d’une propreté irréprochable. On sent vraiment le soin apporté à chaque détail pour offrir un maximum de confort. Le personnel est d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle : toujours souriant, disponible et aux petits soins du début à la fin du séjour. Le service est digne d’un hôtel haut de gamme. Les jardins sont sublimes, parfaitement entretenus, et la piscine est un vrai coin de détente après une journée de visite à Naples ou Pompéi. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, varié et de grande qualité, avec des produits frais et locaux. C’est l’endroit idéal pour se reposer tout en étant proche des principales attractions de la région (Naples, Pompéi, côte amalfitaine).

Quiet location, amazing views, comfortable beds

I was had signed up for a wine tour of Italy and wanted to get in-country a few days before. I found this property on the Hilton app. I’ve stayed at SLH-branded hotels before and jumped at the opportunity to stay here - I was not disappointed. The concierge (Angela) was brilliant, the views were magnificent, the food at the restaurant was sublime. I would like to go back.

Très bel hôtel dans un magnifique écrin de verdure. Grande piscine avec de nombreux transats très confortables. Mention spéciale pour la jeune femme à l'accueil du petit déjeuner. Souriante et attentionnée. Soirées avec musiciens. L'hôtel à été repeint récemment. Conclusion : très agréable

Salle de bain indigne d'un hôtel 4 étoiles. Bac de douche minuscule et très dégradé. Nous avons indiqué que le gel douche était vide. Résultat, 48 heures pour avoir du gel douche, et cela après relance. La ville Castellammare di Stabia n'est pas touristique, voir inquiétante avec endroits peu rassurants.

L’hôtel se situe dans une zone verdoyante, à 15/20 minutes des centres d intérêt. Comptez 100 à 120 euros AR pour vous rendre à Pompéi. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et de qualité et très belle vue. Nous avons dîné dans le jardin, c était tres agréable.

Nous avions réservé une chambre de luxe avec balcon plus de deux mois avant notre arrivée ; la chambre d’une belle superficie se trouvait au dessus de l entrée principale de l’hôtel, vue montagnes Heureusement, nous avons pu changer pour une chambre plus petite avec soleil couchant sur la baie de Naples et le Vésuve ! Pourquoi ne pas nous avoir attribué cette chambre en arrivant ? Beaucoup de bruit tôt le matin 8 h par le personnel pour le remise en place . Le service snack de la piscine est lent et confus .

An amazing stay at La Medusa Hotel – Dimora di Charme. The garden is truly stunning, full of colours, scents, and peaceful shade — a perfect place to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us with transfers and even arranged a guided tour to Pompeii. The food was delicious from start to finish, especially the pasta with zucchini. Our room was comfortable and well kept. The hotel’s history as a former Bourbon palace adds a special charm to the whole experience. Highly recommended.

The property itself is great, but be aware that you will definitely need a car or use transfer because of the surrounding area.

Absolutely amazing place

We first visited La Medusa in 2018, and this was our first opportunity to return, which we've always wanted to do. There's plenty of stuff in other reviews about the high quality of everything at the hotel - we would agree with all of that. The prime reason for this contribution is to acknowledge the hotel's staff. From reception to bar to restaurant to cleaning staff, everyone was unfailingly welcoming, polite, helpful and utterly professional. Special thanks to the following, who made our stay both relaxing and memorable: In the restaurant; Gennaro, Antonio and Maria-Luisa. In reception; Angela and her colleagues, whose names we didn't catch. And hotel driver Antonio. Thanks everyone; we appreciated your kindness and, as we've already said, professionalism.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff was exceptionally kind, professional, and attentive. The level of service was outstanding, with genuine personal care that made our stay feel very special. The meals were absolutely incredible - fresh, delicious, beautifully presented, and of the highest quality. We ate dinner at the restaurant with top service and gorme food! I was especially touched by the beautiful birthday surprise: flowers and warm birthday wishes that made the celebration unforgettable. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that meant a lot to me. We highly recommend this hotel and would love to come back again.

We had such a lovely time at La Medusa. The atmosphere, surroundings, staff and food were all just perfect. I am coeliac and the attention made to ensure my breakfast and meals were catered for was fantastic. They even made gluten free ravioli one evening. This hotel has a lovely family friendly feel to it and all staff are just excellent. Great fine and we will be back

Die Kommunikation in Englisch ist teilweise schwierig. Das Hotel hat erheblien Sanierungsbedarf. Die Zimmer sind zwar sehr schön, aber das Haus an sich hat viele potentielle Baustellen. Dass der SPA Bereich separat ist und auch separat bezahlt werden muss ist absolut aus der Zeit gefallen.

This was a splendid hotel, with all the services one could hope for. The staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and we felt very relaxed and comfortable in beautiful surroundings.

Stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and daughter to celebrate my birthday. We had a wonderful stay! Gennaro the Maitre D’ took care of us for every meal we ate there, Carlo was a great bar man (fantastic Vodka Martinis!) and Stefano took so much time to show us round the grounds and help us around the pool. Everyone who worked there was lovely! Room was very comfortable, we opted for a balcony view towards Vesuvius which was an incredible view, breakfast was really nice and the hotel restaurant does lovely food and has a good cellar. It’s in a great location (we had rented a car) to get to and from Pompeii, the local town (which was buzzing on Saturday night!) and Sorrento and beyond. We could only access Uber Black there which made using taxi’s expensive if we didn’t want to drive so would recommend hiring a car or using the hotel’s free shuttle service to the local station.

Il riscaldamento non funzionava e lo staff non é stato in grado di sistemare il problema. Abbiamo passato due notti al freddo. Acqua e caffè a pagamento pur essendo una suite (proprio pezzenti). Esperienza da dimenticare e soldi buttati nel wc!

We visited here as part of our honeymoon in December because of its proximity to Pompeii and Mt Vesuvius. Beautiful location - on a hill and you can see for miles around. The staff were welcoming and the restaurant staff in particular were outstanding. The food at night was excellent and servers were more than willing to help accommodate different preferences. Pleasant temperatures made it easy to go outside - the grounds had beautiful orange and lemon trees. This time of year it was very quiet but I assume it’s busier during the summer months. The hotel isn’t really near any shops so a car would be an ideal part of your trip staying here. Overall, wonderful spot!

Amazing! The best day I have ever had in the last few years! Strategic location, peaceful place, the beauty of citrus grove - an enchanted garden also in winter, attention to details and to guests make you feel like in a dream. Extremely clean, taken care hotel with an extraordinary view of Vesuvio, the Naples gulf and Lattanzi mountains from the top balcony. These is a lovely SPA, a great service and kindness. The first hotel I found a hair diffuser for curly hair in the hairdryer!

Cet hôtel a beaucoup de charme, ainsi que le jardin. Nous avions une chambre avec une vue imprenable sur le Vésuve. Le personnel était aux petits soins, très à l’écoute et très serviable.

I enjoyed a wonderful holiday at this hotel with a beautiful garden. You can also enjoy a generous breakfast buffet with a view of Vesuvius and delicious evening meals. The rooms are very clean, and the staff is very friendly.

An exceptional hotel in all aspects! Management and Staff very friendly and extremely professional. Rooms, restaurant and gardens magnificent.

The view of the sea and Vesuvius was beautiful. The weather was perfect and the staff very friendly. I fell ona step and they took me to see a doctor. I missed my tour of Pompeii, but the hotel was lovely and quiet.

Excellent well managed, clean, comfortable and very friendly hotel. Excellent food in the restaurant which is good because there is nowhere else close by to eat. Beautiful views over the coast and Vesuvius. Would definitely stay here again. Well positioned for Pompeii, Herculaneum, and the Amalfi coast although best to hire a car for easy access to these places.

This hotel is beautiful and luxurious, however what made the stay so enjoyable is the quality of the staff. They were all very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Great base for exploring Pompeii, Naples city and also Sorrento/Amalfi but you also have the peace of being outside the busy centre of Naples. 9.5/10.

The taxi ride to the hotel from the Naples airport can be from $135-$185 one way. Many attractions in Naples are in the vacinity of the airport, so you can pay up to $370/day on just transportation. We had a bad experience at the Restaurant. I ordered pasta and Lobster. My lobster was rubbery and tough to cut with a knife. I requested another lobster, but not over cooked. When my plate returned, the 1st lobster and pasta had simply been cut up, like you would cut up a child's plate. I said to the waiter, I wanted another lobster, not my lobster cut up. He told me that all the lobsters were tough because of how they initially prepared them. He asked if I wanted something else and suggested the pasta and shrimp. When the new order arrived, it was actually the same lobster I had initially ordered,but now it was cut in even smaller pieces. I left without eating anything. The next day, I told the waiter (who is in a management position) at the breakfast buffet, that I am from Texas on the Gulf coast and eat shrimp all the time and a Chef would never cut shrimp up on pasta in little biddy pieces. I told him I knew that I had been served the same plate of food three times last night. I wanted him to know that I knew that, then I said, but you knew i too didn't you? He didn't reply.

Outstanding!!!! Everyone was soo nice the property was gorgeous the food for breakfast and dinner amazing! We didn’t want to leave! Def will come back!!!

Le personnel est aux petits soins, l'hôtel est tres beau, la vue est superbe, le vesuve plein les yeux.

Installations vétustes : robinetterie de douche qui fuit, et pas qu'un peu, chasse d'eau qui ne cesse de couler. La chambre est belle mais froide, pas tres glamour, ça manque de charme. Petit déjeuner varié mais sans soin sur la présentation, ex = crudités coupées très grossièrement, plats pas tres appétissants meme si finalement bons. Attention, les friandises sur la table en chambre sont facturées (6.50 la poignée de fruits secs), le café avec la cafetière nespresso dans la chambre aussi ! Mais ça c'est l'Italie, mieux vaut le savoir.
