Reviewed Jul 17, 2026Friendly owner and in principle not a bad place but we were a bit thrown off by how the room types are listed: there are 4 room types that are listed as "1/4-person room with shared bathroom" and then there is the "family room". No mention of a shared bathroom in the "family room" room type, so we expected a private bathroom. Then it was a bit of a disappointment to find a small hostel style room with a double bed and bunk bed without bed sheets for 110 euros per night. Both the shared bathroom and the fact that no bed sheets are included are listed in the smaller print but I think it could be made a bit clearer by at least changing the room type of the "family room" to "family room with shared bathroom".

Reviewed Mar 20, 2025It was very convenient with good information. The rooms were comfortable, quiet and functional. I loved that the rooms were named after apple varieties and tried out one after our visit. Aroma - delicious 😋 My teenage daughter loved it, so that's saying a lot 😉

Reviewed Jan 29, 2024The hostel is of 10 minutes walking distance from Vångabacken and the lake. We have received a friendly service, the rooms were nice, the kitchen was well-equipped with two ovens and fridges, the bathrooms were clean.
Some information on booking are not up-to-date (there is no free coffee, one has to pay now an additional 75 SEK for a set of beddings and towel, and most importantly the sauna does not work). Also the nearest supermarket and bus terminal where the bus stops during the weekend is located 7 km away in Arkelstorp (the taxi between Vånga and Arkelstorp cost 600 SEK).

Walls don't have enough sound isolation so everything is heard from other rooms and from the hallway. Room doors are closing automatically but they do so really rapidly and it shakes whole building. Those mechanism should be adjusted so final closing would be softer.

Booked something got something else.. cheating..Smelly oldish ( not-so-much ventilated ). Beds could brake any time. A budget accomodation if you like to save money..No kitchen paper towels/roll for first day.. Walls are thin..
