Palazzo Cicala

The rooms are huge and stylish, with a cool white sofa and glass dining table. The location in a palazzo in the old town is very authentic, close to all the sights and bars and restaurants.

Not a surprise as it's made clear from the description but there is no breakfast room and the light breakfast left in the fridge is pretty basic although fresh fruit was a nice gesture. There are lots of cafes with coffee and breakfast offers nearby. The old town is atmospheric but can feel a bit edgy, with a guy sleeping in the square in front of the palazzo.

Ідеально розташований готель -Палаццо 16 століття, перебування в якому переносить в атмосферу давньої Генуї. Готель розміщений за 3 хвилини від моря, від Porto Antico, від набережної. Все близенько. Також за 1 хвилину від готелю знаходиться вулиця з чудовими магазинами та кафе і пекарнями. розмір номера вражаюче просторий. Персонал фантастично швидко реагує на всі запити, все чудово.

Єдине, що треба враховувати, що в готелі є лише вентилятори настелі і на тумбочках, тому в сильно жарку погоду треба обдумано обирати це помешкання.

Відмінне розташування та чудовий сервіс в історичній будівлі Проживання залишило дуже приємні враження. Помешкання розташоване в самому центрі міста із зручним сполученням — до залізничного вокзалу лише 15 хвилин пішки. Це робить відпочинок максимально мобільним, адже за пів години можна легко дістатися найкращих пляжів та головних визначних пам'яток. • Чистота та обслуговування: У номері було ідеально чисто. Щодня змінювали рушники та поповнювали продуктовий набір у холодильнику, що надзвичайно приємно та цінно. • Робота персоналу: Персонал реагує миттєво. Коли виникла потреба в прасці та пилососі (щоб відкачати повітря з вакуумних пакетів), усе надали дуже швидко. • Клімат у номері: У номері передбачені лише вентилятори (стельовий та настільний). Попри те, що ми відпочивали при температурі +35°C і вище, нам цілком вистачило стельового — другий навіть не вмикали. Про відсутність кондиціонера нас чесно попередили перед заїздом, але для історичних будівель це звична практика, тому це не стало сюрпризом. З задоволенням рекомендуємо це місце для комфортного відпочинку!

Деталі та гігієна: Халати та капці були відсутні (можливо, можна уточнити на місці, але нам не знадобилися). З гігієнічних засобів були лише шапочки для душу — це виявилося дуже доречним, оскільки душ має лише стельове кріплення. Інших косметичних наборів (зубних щіток, пасти) немає, але можливо для готелів в Італії це часто є нормою.

Niestety, ze względu na brak klimatyzacji pobyt przy temperaturze 35 stopni na zewnątrz był trudny.

Un posto incantevole! Bellissimo palazzo del '500 con una facciata spettacolare, stanze grandi e arredamento molto attento al design. La location è spettacolare, vista sul duomo di Genova, vicino a caffè, osterie, musei, palazzi storici, porto antico e molto altro. Un luogo perfetto per essere al centro della vita e della storia di Genova. Essendo un Palazzo Storico non può montare aria condizionata, ho trovato geniale l'abbinamento dei ventilatori a tetto con materasso raffreddato su ogni letto. Colazione offerta dalla struttura con prodotti freschi del mercato e check-out comodo a mezzogiorno, questa si che è professionalità. Tutto come speravo, grazie mille!

E' stata la mia prima volta a Genova come turista e Palazzo Cicala mi è piaciuto davvero tantissimo. Il fascino del palazzo storico con questa camera meravigliosa, la posizione centralissima e comoda per tutto soprattutto quando si viaggia da soli, la colazione con ottimi prodotti locali in omaggio. Certo, faceva caldo e c'erano solo i ventilatori, ma in fondo sono stata in albergo solo per dormire e quindi va bene così. Lo consiglio e ci tornerò di sicuro.

Ci vuole l'aria condizionata

Vi stannade en natt och hade bokat hotellet hastigt. Palatset är precis mitt i det historiska området och det är kort avstånd till hamnen och hela historiska området. I rummet fanns en liten fruktkorg och artiklar i kylskåpet som palatset bjöd på och det var uppskattat. Städpersonalen som vi mötte i korridoren var väldigt vänliga och hjälpsamma. Kommunikationen med administrationen gick snabbt men annars ser man ingen där.

Det som gjorde vårt natt så svårt var att rummet hade bara en takfläkt och ingen air kondition. Vid bokningen glömde vi bort att kolla om palatset hade air kondition men på något sätt hade vi utgått ifrån att de hade den med tanke på värmen som finns i Italien under sommartid. Det var så varmt i rummet att på natten hade vi takfläkten på, öppnade fönster och duschade mitt i natten för att svalka oss men det hjälpte inte. När fönster var öppet kunde man höra folk som pratade ute mitt i natten. Så hela nattsömnen var tyvärr förstörd. Rummet som vi vistades i var verken inspirerande, vackert eller speciellt på något sätt. Bilderna på rum som man ser i hemsidan är mycket vackrare. Som enligt min erfarenhet är palatset ingen bekväm plats under sommartid. Det kanske kan kännas bättre under hösten och våren då värmen är behagligare.

Hotel is zeer centraal gelegen. Onze kamer was zeer ruim en comfortabel. Hoge plafonds in een oud paleis (palazzo). De hygiëne was uitstekend en er werd dagelijks wat vers fruit, yoghurt, koffie, cake en mineraalwater klaargezet.

Er zijn ventilatoren en een gekoeld matrastop (door de hitte werkte dit minder goed tijdens ons verblijf). Helaas is er geen airco; het hotel mag dit niet installeren omdat het een palazzo is.

Zentrale Lage. Das Zimmer außergewöhnlich groß und hoch. Sehr schöne Einrichtung und originelle Architektur des Badezimmers. Sehr empfehlenswert. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit.

E' stata apprezzata la posizione in pieno centro storico e la dimensione ampia della camera in uno stabile di pregio architettonico. Nonostante il self check_in è stato possibile depositare il bagaglio presso la reception oltre gli orari di check_in e di check_out.

L'eccessivo caldo esterno non consentiva una soddisfacente climatizzazione della stanza con i sistemi di ventilazione presenti.

Lors de notre voyage, il faisait 40 degrés dans cet période dans la ville, la climatisation aurait complété les attentions particulières de rafraîchissement de lit et grand ventilateur . Sinon top!

Een mooie kamer op een uitstekende locatie

Assolutamente niente

Posto sporco senza aria condizionata. Siamo arrivati in una struttura antica che all’apparenza dava un senso fashion. Da quel momento è iniziato ’incubo. L’accesso alla stanza tramite un Ascensone con unica chiave elettronica per 4 persone. Nessun accesso diretto tramite le scale salvo scoprire che esisteva una porticina irraggiungibile per chi aveva valigie . Stanza mal curata non coincidente con le foto. Senza aria né raffrescamanto. Buco al vetro (forse per una predisposizione per condizionatore). Bagno cieco e poco pulito . Risultato : abbiamo abbandonato la struttura né cercato un altro hotel che fortunatamente aveva disponibilità. Avvisata la host ha negato qualunque addebito alla sua struttura salvo dire che non era stato precisato che nella stanza ci fosse o meno aria condizionata. Nemmeno la più pallida idea dii dare una mano ad una famiglia alle 19,09!!! Booking dovrebbe verificare !!! E faccio reclamo

La camera pagata era una quadrupla e invece ci è stata data una tripla. Quando abbiamo fatto notare la cosa alla proprietà ci è stato risposto che io non avrei potuto prenotare una camera specifica (opzione che invece Booking dà) e quando ho replicato che era proprio un’altra tipologia di camera, non hanno più risposto fino all’indomani mattina. Inoltre, il wifi non funzionava, il bagno era molto piccolo con sanitari più piccoli di quelli standard, di cui il lavandino incrinato e la doccia, anch’essa molto piccola, si chiudeva con la tendina in pvc, quindi poco igienica e, specie perché appunto il piatto era molto stretto, l’acqua fuoriusciva bagnando il pavimento.

L'emplacement est parfait en face de la cathédrale. La chambre que j'ai choisie était très spacieuse et relativement au calme. L'établissement est très propre.

L'absence de personnel qui rend le séjour assez froid. L'exiguïté de la salle d'eau.

Not a great experience. Not what I would give 4 stars to, as is advertised. Awful Urine smell in the alleys leading to the square of the hotel both evening and morning. The square where the hotel is situated is not appealing, Spliffs in a bundle outside the entrance step with adverts left on the door step. No reception staff, just a code to let yourself in, where public have their own accommodation are coming and going. Nobody to oversee the entrance area, I didn’t feel safe entering as a couple, I would not have felt safe as a single traveller. Pictures of entrance are not private to the Cicala Hotel, they are communal with other apartment owners. Dodgy bedroom doors that didn’t close properly. Broken window pane, no room service, no restaurant, no food. A small fridge containing water, fruit, dried biscuits and jam plus tea and coffee. The room was clean, towels of a poor thin quality. Hand soap a heap pump type from a supermarket for example. . Location is good. Communication was good by email, I did not try their phone number. A disappointing experience for the money charged. We will not return or recommend.

The building is run down and it doesn’t look at all like on the photos. The room was OK but the bathroom was actually in the room only partially separated by glass panels and a short wall. No reception so nobody available to help. The cleaning lady was very nice but she could not speak English.

Emplacement exceptionnel. Chambre très vaste dans la salle d'un ancien palais avec stucs au plafond et grandes portes. A recommander.

Palazzo storico, ben tenuto, in una posizione eccellente. Quartiere tranquillo. Nonostante l'edificio sia all'angolo della piazza, non sentivamo rumori fastidiosi. La camera (quadrupla, la n° 4 al terzo piano) era enorme, così come il bagno. Lo staff, contattato via WhatsApp, ha sempre risposto velocemente. Ottimo supporto

Nulla di rilevante. La nostra camera sembrava un po' spartana; andrebbe nascosta qualche prolunga di corrente e potenziata la luce in bagno. Ma queste sono solo minuzie estetiche.

Chambre dans un palais Gênois, c'est la classe : hall d'entrée majestueux. Localisation au pied de la cathédrale

Certaines chambres sont en entresol et on ne sait pas à l'avance quelle chambre on aura. Ca reste des chambres très spacieuses mais basses de plafond, ça fait moins rêver que le reste du palais.

Fantastic old palazzo in small square close to the Cathedral. All spaces very evocative of its glamorous past. 15ft High ceilings. Clean, spacious rooms, minimally furnished. White and red decorations. Owner very helpful with advice and information.

Die Lage ist super, um sich Genua anzuschauen. Das Zimmer war sehr grosszügig. Das kleine Gezränke-und Snackangebot war gut. Das Check-In verlief Reibungslos.

Leider war es in unserem Zimmer sehr laut. Vor allem am Wochenende, vom Hof und von der Bar unten an der Ecke (der Bass von der Musik und der Gesang vom Karaoke).

Perfect location right at the centre of Genova, the building was just beautiful and the room was minimal and beautiful with a vintage feel. Very boutique

The shower smell after use wasn't pleasant. Not sure if they were doing pipe works but it wasn't nice. The smell wouldn't seep into the room though so that's fine.

Le flou sur la catégorie de l'établissement; on pense aller dans un hôtel et il s'agit en fait d'un AirBnB, avec codes d'entrée et absence totale de personnel. Compliqué quand on réserve le jour même et que l'on n'a pas accès à ses mails, on se retrouve alors devant une porte close... Par chance, l'employé du bar voisin connaissait le code... Mais ensuite, un 2e code est nécessaire à l'étage: chance encore, un client sortait et nous avons enfin pu entrer dans le hall où se trouvait un dossier à notre nom avec... les codes et la clé de la chambre.

Tout est exceptionnel !!!! Chambre magnifique dans un palais ! Très spacieuse, haute de plafond, avec belle terrasse donnant sur la cathédrale, beaucoup de charme, décoration très soignée. Bien que l’arrivée se fasse en autonomie, le personnel que l’on peut joindre facilement est aux petits soins. Ils ont organisé pour nous la résa d’un taxi pour un départ aéroport très tôt le matin.

Check-in ben spiegato. La location. L'ampiezza della camera. La posizione centrale. La tranquillita'.

La camera era gelida, all'arrivo. Le finestre aperte. Snack (fette biscottate) scadute. Mi sarei aspettata piu' cura e attenzione da un quattro stelle. Dettagli che fanno la differenza.

La posizione è spettacolare, al pari dello stile del palazzo, l'ampiezza delle camere e l'arredo, facili e funzionali anche le procedure di check-in

La colazione dovrebbe essere ripristinata, frequento la struttura da anni e la colazione con la focaccia nella living room era bellissima ed originale

La camera e' situata in un palazzo storico affascinante, a due passi dalla Cattedrale, nonostante cio' e' silenziosissima. Il sistema di checkin/checkout automatizzato, che usualmente non e' il mio favorito, qui e' straordinariamente efficiente e comodo. La camera e' molto spaziosa, la stanzetta da bagno pur essendo piccolissi ma ha tutto l'essenziale ben funzionante. La zona di accoglienza e' cosituita da un ampio salotto utilizzabile per la lettura o la conversazione. Il personale addetto alla pulizia ha rigovernato la camera, cambiato gli asciugamani e rifornito il frigo-bar (gratis) dopo la notte, tutto cio' non e' usuale nei B&B. I Gestori sono raggiungibili telefonicamente per qualunque esigenza, sono molto cortesi e disponibili a facilitare la soluzione di qualunque necessita'.

La stanza da bagno e' veramente minuxcola, ma non manca niente dell'essenziale e tutto funziona a dovere.

La situation géographique, le lieu dans un ancien palais typique de Gênes; les facilités de communication pour accéder au logement; très belle chambre spacieuse et lumineuse; les bons conseils pour le petit déjeuner et le déjeuner, les petites attentions (chocolat, eau, café...) à notre attention; accès autonome à l'établissement mais avec des indications très précises et possibilité de joindre une personne via WhatsApp;

Il manque juste deux assiettes pour le petit déjeuner!

I thought the hotel itself was great but the lack of interaction with staff (self-check in process) was a little complicated and added a bit more hassle to the trip. A front desk/manager/porter would have been great. Everything worked out but for example it wasn't immediately obvious that there was an elevator or how to work it.

Room quiet. Great location for our meeting and for walking around the old city.

Lovely big room with a sofa and coffee making facilities. It was very clean and the beds were large and comfortable.

Very noisy rubbish collecting station nearby but the actual hotel was quiet

Deep in center, calm neighborhood with lots of character and not too many (other) tourists. Very classy size and architectural detail and simple, appealing decor in room.

It was difficult to find and to figure out how to get in….always prefer real human contact and in such a large and quiet place, which was empty, the whole process felt spooky. In the morning after I met the staff and had some human contact I felt much better about it.
