Old and poorly kept hotel/inn. Rooms tiny, bathrooms only partially in room- i.e. toilet in bathroom, and sink in bedroom
We are veteran travelers who traditionally stay at high end resorts and hotels both inside the US and abroad. Through a random chain of events we found ourselves needing to find accommodations in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Given that it is a “Shore town”, I knew we would have fun in the sand and sun, but I did not have high hopes for finding a hotel that is at the caliber we are used to. I Googled “luxury accommodations in Rehoboth Beach” and hoped for the best. Imagine my surprise and delight when we arrived and found the Bellmoor to be the perfect combination of beachy, charming, luxurious and relaxing. We stayed in the Jackson Suite on the top floor and the room was small but immaculate, beautifully decorated, cozy and quiet with a cheerful gas fireplace in the corner to set the ambiance. There was a feel like you were staying in a rich relative’s southern mansion. There were multiple small libraries around every corner with crackling fireplaces awaiting someone to come and read a book, do a puzzle or play a board game. Each had a fridge filled with free Voss water and soda and free snack shelves stocked and restocked all day. The breakfast was included and delicious. Fresh fruit (berries! Not just the same tough melon you find at other buffets). You could eat inside the restaurant, on their enclosed brick patio, or on their outside bricked courtyard surrounded by beautiful flowers, a koi pond and water features creating a tranquil spot to have a (fantastic!) fresh made cappuccino. And the biggest surprise of all was the spa. I’m thinking, “spa in a Shore town, ok” and kept my expectations at an appropriate level because I have a terrible back and have gotten hundreds massages at some of the premier spas around the world. So I booked an 80 minute deep tissue massage with Blair and settled in for what I was hoping would be a pleasant and peaceful experience. What I got was one of the top 5 best massages OF MY LIFE. I was floored. This woman was a sorceress of some kind. She found muscles I didn’t even know I had and patiently moved me this way and that until they let go of all the tension. She stretched me and so clearly knew her way around human anatomy it was incredible. I can’t recommend her or the spa at the Bellmoor enough. If you are planning a stay, you need to splurge. Although, as massages go it was almost half of what I’m used to paying for the same level of service so I use “splurge” lightly. One last word for the staff who were friendly and helpful in a small town feel kind of way. Not stuffy and overly solicitous. More like well-trained locals who just wanted to be kind and give you a good stay. It was refreshing and charming. If you are a luxury traveler and are coming to Rehoboth Beach, do not sleep on the Bellmoor experience. Treat yourself to a 4th floor suite and a spa trip. You will not regret it.
The Bellmoor Inn is all that and more! From its proximity to everything you need to the very friendly staff that was ready to help you at any given moment. The breakfast buffet with a made to order omeletes station cannot be beat! The golf cart service to/from the beach was very much appreciated as was the giant cooler with waters for the guests; a special little touch by the hotel. Would definitely recommend the Bellmoor Inn!
Location is the only positive side of this place, 10 min walk to the beach. This is what we got for $500 per night + daily parking fee: The room we had (garden room, 1st floor) was dark, tiny, no decent A/C, no working TV, smelly closet, food crumbs in the drawer, cheapest toilet paper available. No sink in the bathroom, no decent hand soap/shower gel/body lotion in weathered dispensers. It was noisy because of the people walking/talking on the 2nd floor room above ours. The sink was in the room sharing space with the smelly old coffee machine. The buffet breakfast was mediocre, the usual overdone breakfast sausages, scramble eggs, some fruits, no fresh bakery item, just some limpy, dump, thawed muffins and scones. The best item in the buffet was coffee. Upon arrival we saw dirty footsteps in the bath tub. There are two pools on the property, both had dirty water in them. If the General Manger of the property is aware of all these problems and made no desire to correct them, than he/should not be in hospitality business. Also, I would like to see at least one of the people who posted 5 star reviews of this property. They either had very different experience or have no idea about what the decent hotel should look like.
Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are comfortable and clean. We loved the family pool (even though they need more umbrellas on stands around the pool). We really appreciated the availability of coffee in the morning / cookies in the afternoon. The outdoor areas around the the hotel (for lounging and eating) are peaceful and relaxing.
Charming main building with great parking. Very close to downtown and free shuttle to anywhere within 10 minutes, including beaches and boardwalk. Garden rooms were old but clean. Breakfast was good with omeletes being the star of the show. Front desk personnel were very good.
Satellite TV didn't work. Kept freezing up every few minutes so that you couldn't watch anything start to finish.
Alex and Jim were amazing
My husband and I are currently here for our anniversary. We were so excited to get away and based on all the fantatic reviews, we could not wait to stay here. I will start with the good. Alex, the golf cart driver is wonderful. What a sweet young man. He took us down to the boardwalk and gave us many suggestions. He was fun to talk with and has gpne out of his way to acknolwdge us each day. Garth, at the front desk, I believe he is the general manager, was very kind to me and listened to my concerns and tried to fix the problems we had. He moved us to a new room, which I will get to soon. When we checked in we were given a garden view room. It says on the website that there is no elevator to these rooms. I did not realize that, It is hard to get all your belongings up the flight of stairs. We were room 202. Despite the lack of elevator, I was still so excited to see the room. My high hopes were deflated pretty fast. The room was tiny, smelled so musty, like s damp basement, and the shower head was awful. Water came out, but one stream of water. It was terrible. I immediately went to the front desk and Garth offered us another room. We had to spend one night in 202 and agreed to that. It was rough with the smell. It gave me a headache. The next day we got moved to the Palmer House. This was suppose to be an upgrade, but I just do not see it. They did put a dehumidifier in this room, which helped a bit with the smell. The shower was much better, but this time the TV did not work. Normally we do not watch TV when away, but there was a pretty bad rain storm, so we were stuck in the room, so that was frustrating. In addition to that, the people in the room above us kept moving the furniture around. Alll we head was stuff being dragged. And, I know that is not the fault of the hotel. In the new room, we had to kill 3 bugs, which I again kmow is not anyones fault. In both rooms the air condition unit was so loud. We ended up turning it off in our second room. Both rooms were outdated and very worn. Holes in the walls, small bathrooms, not kept up at all. For the price we paid, I expected much better. I am wondering if all the rave reviews come from people who are staying in the club suites on the 4th floor. This is an adult only floor that you cannot get to if you do not book it. Maybe those rooms are the good ones. For over 400 a night this place was not a good find. As I said, we are here celebrating our anniversry. I always go with my gut and I am kicking myself for not this time. We had the Beach View Hotel booked and last miinute I changed to the Bellmoor. That was a big mistake. The rooms were surface cleaned, the staff was somewhat helpful. Common areas outside could use a redo. The breakfast in the morning is very good, and so are the cookies. However, for the price we paid per night, it was not worth it. It truly was os disappointing.
Wonderful Experience!! Exceptional Service from staff especially Alex. We plan on coming back in the future. Really loved the ride on golf cart. I have a bad knee It really saved us from walking.
As good as it looks online. The staff was great. The room was clean and beautiful. We started each morning with an excellent breakfast before taking the short walk down to the beach and local shops. It was a wonderful experience. I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
The hotel is super charming. Feels like going back in time a bit. I love the welcoming staff and the location. My spa service (facial) was amazing, though very expensive, and I get a lot of facials. It was worth it though. We will be back.
Beautiful place, and clean.
Main swimming pool was shut down. Dissapointed.
Great hotel, great location. Friendly staff. Has all the amenities one needs. Jim and Alex the gulf cart drives are the best! Garth the general Manager will take care of you if anything looks off on your bill. It is important to make sure everything is correct on your end. The breakfast is nice and is located in the best part of the hotel with the garden view!
Very pricey , with very average service ... you can do better elsewhere ,,, they are not on top of their game ... i had a pretty large problem and the GM dropped the ball ... a few years ago the place was worth the money ( which is up there ... our room approached a $1000 per night ...) but no longer ... sad ...
This was our third vacation at the Bellmoor. It’s one of our favorite places. The atmosphere, helpful staff, beautiful grounds, cleanliness, proximity to everything, amenities, delicious included, breakfast… Everything is perfect time and again. We will be back.
This is not a luxury resort. Although it is no doubt charming, it is an overpriced average hotel in my opinion. We had three rooms all in different parts of the hotel. The rugs were in need of cleaning, there was lipstick on the wall, the shower drain was clogged and the ceiling fan and the ac unit in one room super noisy. The overall look was a bit tired, both in the rooms and the courtyard . Not once did I see anyone tidy up outside. The library and the breakfast room were nice and the breakfast itself was great. Although the service at the bar and at breakfast was very nice, unfortunately can’t say the same about the reception. A hello and a goodbye would’ve been nice. However, the hotel has some charm and the location is great, but I just cringe when I look at the bill. With that much money one should be able to get a little more.
Fantastic location. Close by to best restaurants. 5 mins walk to the beach. Fantastic hotel with great stuff. The spa is also good. Rehoboth beach is a hidden gem - must visit.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was perfect—just a short walk from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the ocean whenever I wanted. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. It was a nice relaxing get away
This was our first time visiting Rehoboth Beach coming from NYC. We thought we booked a luxury hotel. Some aspects of the place seemed rundown. The adult pool area looked very sad and forlorn. A paint job was needed on doors and tabletops. The fire pit wasn’t working the evening we thought we could use it to keep the mosquitoes away. I ordered a cappuccino at the bar one evening but the bartender did not know how to operate the machine. The breakfast spread looked amazing. Looking closer revealed fresh fruit was the kind that is frozen then thawed out for serving. There were not many healthy options to eat - plenty of mundane carbs and fried selections. Speaking to staff about the hotel, I learned the place is now owned by a cooperation and not enough attention is given to maintenance. The room was clean as expected. Surprised that the toilet was not standard height; a child would appreciate it. So at almost $600 a night plus $15 a night for parking, we expected a more exceptional experience. We agreed it was not worth the money.
Have visited multiple times with good results ,however this stay was very disappointing The A/C in our room quit during the middle of the first night ... room got to 80 degrees (basically not able to sleep) ... it was so hot and muggy in the room that i was unable to even take a shower) . They did move me the next day which was great, but we had to hang out until the next room was ready. Upon checkout i asked for some compensation / consideration ( btw it was a Suite with a nightly rate approaching $1000 ) and was given about $150 in concessions ( so nothing really) ... there were a lot of people in the lobby so i chose not to make an issue of it at the time .... instead i contacted the GM and asked for a call to discuss ... i have tried 4 times with no results ... you would not expect that from a high end Inn ... therefore unless something changes very quickly i will NOT be returning ...
Thank you for the attention to details! Best hotel in Rehoboth!! Staff is amazing. Location is perfect. Don't miss the breakfast! Wonderful stay!
I come to Rehoboth once a summer and stay here. It's an experience I share with my daughter. We share a garden room which overlooks a peaceful and lush garden area with a koi pond and gentle waterfall. We love the included breakfasts, the proximity to Rehoboth Blvd, the beach, lots of shops and restaurants. There is never a problem with parking at the hotel. The staff does a nice job-- rooms are very clean. There is also a bar -- drinks were great. They have a nice lunch menu; the food is fresh and tasty. This time we tried the onsite spa, and enjoyed that as well.
My family and I booked the Palmer House at The Bellmoor and were set to check in tomorrow. I received a confirmation email today and the room listed as the one we would receive was the Aspen/Frisco room, which is a “club suite” in the 25 and older only area of the hotel that can only accommodate 2 people. Well, I’m traveling with two kids and my husband, a total of 4 guests, so that wouldn’t work. I called the front desk today so I wouldn’t have to deal with the hassle of their error at check-in tomorrow and long story short, they didn’t have any other rooms available and therefore couldn’t accommodate my family. They refunded me and gave me the info of a hotel they reached out to that should have a room for my family. I looked up the hotel online and it just wasn’t what we were looking for as far as where we were going to stay on vacation. I called back The Bellmoor and I was just out of luck. My family vacation isn’t happening because The Bellmoor made a mistake and gave me the information of a dingy looking hotel. 0/0 would not recommend
Overall, our stay was okay, and there were some highlights—the breakfast was excellent, especially the made-to-order omelet bar, which was one of the best parts of our visit.
I think future guests should be aware that we were told upon arrival that parking is an additional cost per day. We both heard the receptionist say $50 per day, but looking at the other reviews, perhaps (hopefully) we both misheard her. This came as an unpleasant surprise, especially since several nearby hotels (including those directly next to and across from this property) offer complimentary parking for their guests. We ended up using the Lewes Transit Center, which offers free overnight parking and a convenient shuttle to Rehoboth Beach for only $2 per person each way. It was an easy and more affordable option. When we checked in, the parking charge appeared to be automatically added to our bill. We let the front desk know that we planned to park elsewhere and asked for it to be removed. While they did remove the charge, the manager made a point of telling us that they regularly check the parking lot for valid parking passes, which felt like an unnecessary implication that we might try to park on the property without paying. One of the people working at the front desk seemed to noticably dislike us throughout our stay. She gave us the room key but did not give us any directions for how to get to our room. We ended up taking the elevator and getting lost with all of our luggage. When I returned to the front desk to ask where our room was, she ignored me for a little bit before she asked if she could help me. I asked a question at check-out and although her colleague was helping me, she stepped away from the desk sighing while her co-worker assisted me. The interaction was noticeable enough that someone from the office came out and asked, "Is everything okay?" The other front desk employee was very kind, welcoming, and helpful. In the future, I'll choose a beach hotel that includes free parking and has a more inclusive, "everyone is welcome here" approach to hospitality.
Staff was excellent. Bob at front desk provided outstanding service during our anniversary trip. Breakfast team prepared omelettes and eggs per request. Fantastic location. Jim and others were helpful with shuttle to beach. Library on 4th floor was exceptional.
Underground parking was a little tricky with larger vehicles, but was manageable.
We have stayed at this property before and have always enjoyed our visits, which makes this experience even more disappointing. When we arrived, we were given the wrong room type. Before our trip, we had specifically called the inn to confirm that we had reserved the larger room, so we were surprised to find that our reservation did not match what had been confirmed. The rooms we received were too small for our family, and the situation was disruptive enough that part of our family had to leave early, cutting their vacation short. What was most frustrating was that the staff refused to acknowledge that a mistake had been made, despite our having verified the reservation in advance. We requested compensation for the inconvenience and the impact on our family trip, but we are still waiting to hear from the general manager. I rarely complain about small issues, but our shower also made a loud, unusual noise throughout our stay, adding to an already disappointing experience. We have always had positive experiences here and hope management will take this feedback seriously. A simple acknowledgment of the mistake and a timely resolution would have gone a long way.
Fantastic spot for a wonderful getaway in Rehoboth Beach. Very clean, friendly, and overall the best place to stay in Rehoboth Beach.
The hotel is as gorgeous as it looks online. The rooms are large and very comfortable. The staff were warm, friendly, attentive and had great local knowledge. The location is perfect, a 2-3 minute walk to the main drag with all the shops and restaurants and 5-7 minutes to the beach. The hotel is also on a quiet street so away from any potential noise. What a great place - we plan to come back next summer!
Although we have been going there 15+ years, this is the first year we are thinking of trying a new place. Pluses are the shuttle to the beach , very good breakfast , friendly staff. On site parking. The location is very good… you can walk to many good restaurants and it’s not far from the beach. Minus are. .. short staffed housekeeping, ( we had to request housekeeping and they then came twice in the week. ),tv doesn’t work correctly, carpet in room looks filthy with stains even though it’s vacuumed
I brought my husband to this hotel for a spa day on Father's Day. We had a fantastic time! The spa was amazing the hotel is so quaint and cozy. The room was spacious and we absolutely loved the garden and koi pond. Also, the location to the beach and boardwalk was a brief walk. 10 out of 10 experience!
A great location and wonderful staff but the condition of the hotel is deteriorating. Carpets in guest rooms are worn and very stained. Bathroom tiles are cracked, TVs do not work well, etc.
Very motel-esque as far as the rooms. We stayed in the garden view area and was disappointed. It wasn’t a real garden, more so a large patio area, and wasn’t properly maintained. The rooms were small and their air conditioning is so outdated. It was so hot and humid. The nice lady gave us free drinks and free dessert for the trouble. The bathroom sink contained the coffee bar which was odd. There was a dirty Kcup in the machine when we first came in the room as well. Would not return. This is not a luxury hotel! Don’t understand why they list themselves as luxury. This is a Motel with a really good breakfast and spa services!!
The Bellmoor is a family favorite, and we love coming here each year. It is a great mixture of relaxation and fun. The shuttle to the beach and shops is such a luxury we never knew we needed until you don't have to cart all of your beach items a few blocks. Would recommend over and over.
Very nice room and even better friendly helpful staff. Service with a smile every encounter. Felt right at home instantly! Clean and only 2 blocks back from the beach with a free shuttle.
Really cute hotel in a prime location! Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Included breakfast was fantastic. Absolutely loved our visit!
The Bellmoor has a great location just a few step from the boardwalk in one direction and the charm of Rehoboth's classic neighborhoods in the other. Food options are everywhere. While we didn't use either pool, (yes there are two,) we did enjoy the made to order omelet at breakfast. Nice stay.
My husband and I came for a quiet weekend getaway. Love it here. Nicest hotel within walking distance of beach, restaurants and shops. We normally stay at Hotel Rehoboth, but this hotel is much nicer with newer rooms, staff is more friendly and overall atmosphere much better! Jim drove us to the beach one morning and gave us key restaurant recommendations and told us about the area. Super nice guy and very helpful! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Shaded courtyard was the perfect place for quiet breakfast in the morning - it's free unless you get specialty coffee drinks and omelettes are made fresh to order. We will be back.
Every member of the staff that we came in contact with was friendly and helpful! It was a great getaway! Will definitely come back again.
We had an unexpected surprise when we arrived as our room was in the garden area . It was a motel configuration. While it was clear on the website , there was a 2nd floor with only stair access- it was not clear that the doors opened to the outdoors. We had a view of the street on both sides. The walls are thin and you will be able to hear your neighbors clearly. It is in very good walking location. The common areas (library, game room) offered a nice fireplace and comfortable space to read. A comfortable bed. Not a 5 star. Staff helpful, friendly in a genuine way and the breakfast meal is scrumptious. The Garden is well maintained and very pretty. Enjoyed sitting outside.
From check in, to the person shuttling folks to the beach, to the bartender, to the unexpected amazing breakfast with great service, to the spa services and everything in between, it was a wonderful experience.
Breakfast was excellent. Delicious omelet made to order and outstanding staff.
Very clean, friendly service. Breakfast daily was amazing. We stayed with 2 young kids and felt very welcomed and accommodated.
I brought my Mom last year for her birthday and she wanted to come back this year. I surprised her by upgrading our accommodation to a suite. I reserved the Newbold, she loved it!!! We enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The breakfast staff were professional, attentive and kind. The omelets were AMAZING!!! Salute to the chef. The hotel staff were nice and friendly. The hotel itself was clean, warm and inviting. Our stay was well worth every mile driven and every dollar spent. 🤍
We spent several days here and enjoyed our visit and the time we spent relaxing on the property. We booked a spacious and comfortable deluxe king , which overlooked the hotel entrance. Unfortunately street cleaners woke us at 3:30 AM two nights in a row. The room air conditioner was also unusually loud so I mostly just ran the low speed fan. That wouldn’t work well in summer, though. Other than some noise in the room, the bedding and amenities were high quality. We especially enjoyed the second floor pool and hot tub right down our hallway, which were both peaceful after breakfast but less so before dinner due to loud, drinking guests each evening. The ground floor adult pool was not cleaned or maintained during our stay so we couldn’t use it, but it was still pleasant to sit in the courtyard surrounded by tall cypress trees and read and listen to the birds. I thought the hot breakfast buffet was good , especially if you like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and potatoes. The hotel also puts out cookies and lemonade in the afternoon, and offers late lunches and hot, well prepared bar menu dishes in the evenings in the cocktail lounge. We especially appreciated the friendly service from bartender Rick and beach shuttle driver Jim. Hotel parkingk is $15 in season, and we never even used our car because you can walk everywhere in town, and the daytime beach shuttle makes it easy to bring your own beach gear.
The staff was amazing, the room was beautiful and comfortable, and it’s so close to all of the town and beach.
Nothing
Great service from start to finish. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout out visit. The amenities were clean, breakfast is an experience and added to the overall experience. I would recommend the updated rooms. We look forward to returning.
Our first time staying with you. We enjoyed our time there! I’m looking forward to my next trip and will stay with you again! But please don’t let it rain again for the entire trip 🤪
Wonderful staff. Great, clean facilities. Beautiful patio with a koi pond where we enjoyed our breakfast
Not being able to visit more frequently
Breakfast was not great. They were out of most things. We were not told until after the fact that it’s $15 a day parking on their facility.
The hotel is fabulous. I loved every minute of my stay and have already booked for next year! Grant and his team are outstanding!
We have been going to the Bellmoor Inn for that 10 years and I have to admit that it just gets better each time. The service is outstanding and the staff is amazing ... I had the good fortune to meet the GM Garth Huffman and was delighted in how he operates, communicates and overseas every aspect of the facility. I highly recommend this hotel as your go to place when vacationing at Rehobath Beach, De. Bruce Small
Bellmoor Inn & Spa - great hotel, off-season value, ambiance embrasive This is our third stay at the Bellmoor. All three stays were enjoyable and only differed in the three rooms we chose: the first being a regular hotel room, the second being the Dagsworthy Suite and this one being a cottage room off the pool/garden area. Garth, the check-in desk clerk, started our stay off on the right foot by honoring our early check-in request and being so welcoming. Off-season rates are more wallet friendly and this popular beach town is less crowded. I cant brag enough about the ambiance perks of this hotel, namely, the fireplace library room, the complimentary breakfast, the indoor hot tub/spa, the garden patio area and finally fresh cookies every day around 3pm. Two recommendations: book early for a stay here and dont do the cottage garden second floor if you are stair challenged (no elevator) and secondly make a fine dining reservation (Open Table app) at the 1776 restaurant on Coastal Highway.
Hotel in desperate need of new carpet, new furniture and renovation. The redo to the hotel about 7 or 8 years ago is now showing extreme wear and tear. The hotel is mi longer pristine.
The Garden is simply not up to Bellmoor standard. Dirty, loud, rooms not renovated. Breakfast was also disappointing.
The Bellmoor Inn & Spa has been in a serious decline. We've stayed for years. The furniture is worn. The carpets we encounter are old and dirty. Today we've been without hot water since morning and no solution has been offered. No communication from mgmt. This high priced place once prided itself on having an omelette station on Mother's Day. Not anymore. The corporation which purchased the place is letting it slip seriously and we'll be taking our business elsewhere when enjoying Rehoboth Beach.
Library was a great place to relax. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. Rooms were well organized and and comfotable.
Can't think of any problems all went smoothly.
This was a very disappointing stay. I'm giving it 3 stars, instead of fewer, because there are many things I like about the hotel. The problem for us was that the room they put us in was not nearly as good as I would have expected from a nice hotel like this. We were in one of the garden rooms, which looked out on stairs, not a garden. the room was very small and had a tiny bathroom in which you have to turn sideways to shut the door. The bathroom has no sink and the small tub shower is slippery, which can be dangerous. There is a sink outside the bathroom, in the room. One of the worst features was an HVAC appliance that looked like it was from the 1980s, which made a huge amount of noise and went off and on all night, waking us up regularly. I finally turned it off, deciding that cold was better than that noise. I was annoyed later to realize there were better rooms available in the main building. As I said, there are many good things about the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is decent and plentiful, the spa is very good, and the bartender (Rick) is great. The main building is nice, with some nice common rooms, including one cozy room with a fire. In fact, I would probably stay there again if I could be sure I was getting a room in the main building and not one of the tiny, uncomfortable garden rooms.
We loved being seated for breakfast in the mornings. (And the offerings for breakfast were terrific!) And we enjoyed some quiet time outside in the patio area, which had plenty of seating and a koi pond. Best of all, it was great to be so close to everything in Rehoboth!
Our room felt a little small, but really it wasn't bad.
The location is perfect; off from the crowd but close enough to walk to the beach. The garden area is a quiet bonus. The rooms are spacious. The service is very attentive from the time you drive onto the property til the time you leave. Breakfast is great as well as the afternoon cookies, tea, coffee and drinks. We have been going twice a years and plan to continue. E Williams
So close to the beach, with lovely, clean rooms and an amazing buffet breakfast! We really enjoyed all of the homemade baked goods and the lovely outdoor patio and koi pond.
Great location, short walk to boardwalk, shopping, restaurants, nicely appointed rooms, good breakfast, lovely spa (ask forTabitha) We like the quiet calm of pre-season April.
clean room great service nice employees
Loved the lobby library. 4th floor is the place to stay. Quite elegant. Bar was noisy, even with 3 people. Food was fine but miss the homemade omelets from a few years ago. Still all and all, nicest place to stay in Rehoboth.
Everything about the hotel and staff was excellent but for one issue. The television in our room had a reception that was scrambled the entire time we were there. I heard another guest complain of the same problem and I reported the issue to the front desk. They told me to try another station but it was no better. I believe it was a faulty TV but no-one cared enough to have it fixed.
Clean, updated, comfortable, nice amenities such as a bar and dining room, spa, hot tub and pool in season. Easy off street parking, walk to shops, beach or restaurants, Great staff and service. Highly recommended.
It is a nice hotel 2 blocks from the boardwalk. There’s a nice courtyard. There is a tiny pool outside. The breakfast is 730 - 1030 and is excellent. Plenty of tables. The staff is attentive and friendly ….. the small bar is nice. I was disappointed with the spa …… we had a scheduled couples massage that was cancelled at the last moment - and offered no compensation such as a free night or a discount on a future visit. I doubt if I will patronize their spa again.
Breakfast and hot tub!!!
All the staff had a sense of courtesy and positivity you don’t see very often anymore and the inn itself has a classic feel while at the same time being up-to-date and well taken care of. I wouldnt necessarily be able to afford a long stay in peak season but I will definitely be back when I can swing a deal or when off season comes around again. A magical experience for sure!
We had an amazing weekend here. The staff really goes above and beyond to accommodate. Moe, the food and beverage leader is amazing! He really went above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for our weekend! The spa services were so terrific that we went 2 days in a row! Highly recommend. The garden is tranquil and peaceful. A great place to unwind after a day at the beach or shopping. Wonderful weekend and wonderful people.
The Hotel has a Lovely Old World Charm and lots of comfy sitting areas. Beverages in Lobby all day was nice . The Bar was not open when we went . Breakfast Buffet was nice . We stayed in Jackson Suite . Smaller then what we expected. The Club floor was a disappointment. They only offered some bagged snacks and soda and water. No real food like wine and cheese tray or coffee and pastries in morning. It was clean and overall service good. Probably would not revisit for the price, and high season was overpriced. Good Location was a plus.
Totally relaxing experience. Breakfast was included which was outstanding with friendly staff available during that time to be of assistance. Seating everywhere to mingle with other guests if you would like. Our room was large with a standard sofa, chair and fireplace. Very clean. Would go back again at this time of year.
Garden area and breakfast
A/C unit a bit noisy
The staff is truly awesome and attentive . I enjoyed the garden area to enjoy the weather. We will be returning in the fall.
Pleasant atmosphere and friendliness
Room TV had issues
We loved everything about the Bellmoor inn. The property was beautiful. Service was outstanding.
Very nice place to stay. It is about 2 block walk to beach. Room was peaceful and nicely decorated. Food was the best ever.
The Bellmoor is a wonderful facility; always immaculately clean with the friendliest staff, from reception, the bartender, custodial workers and the kitchen personnel. Always a very pleasent stay! Can't wait to make a return trip.
I’ve known of the bellmoor for a long time. I love Its history and the feel of old school vibes. Rooms with books, a fire place and board games helping to stress the importance of distancing from technology. The staff is always very kind and responses. The hotel is nestled in with the neighborhood and I love Waking up in the morning watching the sunrise on the beach and following up with a peaceful walk in the neighborhood. If you value piece of mind, distancing from technology, and rooting / grounding yourself, this hotel has It all. From a pool in the summer to a hot tub, fire pits and fireplaces in the winter. To your spa treatments and even personal room experiences. This place is always a welcomed and needed regular experience.
This is a wonderful boutique inn with great staff and amenities. It’s like a second home. Check it out!
Convenient location, quite comfortable clean rooms, excellent breakfast selection, attentive, helpful, friendly staff, parking on site.
Great place, beautiful decor and warm feeling. The staff are excellent- knowledgeable and friendly! The little details were great, menus of restaurants in the area, puzzle room, library, water available all day, coffee, refreshments in the afternoon. The courtyard was peaceful and breakfast was lovely with many options.
Beautiful place and very relaxing.
The garden room was really cute. It was like a little cottage. Breakfast was good. A nice variety of typical breakfast foods.
We did have to wait for the room t be ready. Check-in was at three. We waited until a little after that.
We loved our stay at the Bellmoor! Staff was incredible and the facilities were top notch. A special thank you to Jim for steering us to dinner with an impromptu ride in the beach shuttle and to the whole staff for such a welcoming and clean atmosphere. Can’t wait for a return visit!
Breakfast was excellent. Mattress was comfortable. Bar staff very good. Front desk staff helpful.
Room was dated. Bedroom furniture worn and needs to be replaced. Limited closet storage. Shower area needs grab bars. Room not ready at 3PM check in time.
This was our first time back since the property sold within the last few years. Although we were nervous, considering how much we loved the property previously, we actually enjoyed our stay more. The management continues to make changes to elevate the guest experience. We interacted with several staff members, all of whom were very friendly and helpful. The new breakfast seating and food options were great, if not better. (I hated having to wait in a long line for an omelette.) We stayed in a garden cottage room for the first time as well and found it quiet and quaint. Overall, though it was unseasonably cold, we really enjoyed our offseason trip to Rehoboth without the crowds. For a property a few blocks from the beach, this has to be the best value in the area. We look forward to planning a return trip when it's warmer. And we will miss the afternoon cookies and coffee break. :)
The inn is super cozy and beautiful!!! The room is big and clean. The staff is extremely nice, and the breakfast is amazing considering the price per night. I don't like to leave comments that much, but this is an absolutely amazing experience!!!!!!!!!
Friendly hotel staff, delicious breakfast, clean room. I particularly love the sitting rooms on the first floor and the bird art. Would definitely go back!
The Bellmoor has character and ambience. The garden room was well appointed, clean and cozy. Love the added touch of local watercolors. Warm, welcoming staff made sure our stay was comfortable. Super nice! Delicious hot breakfast.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast. Location is a little far from the beach but it’s walkable. Beds were uncomfortable.
L’emplacement / le charme du lieu / le personnel / Le petit déjeuner .
Le bruit du chauffage dans la chambre car il ne faisait pas chaud quand on y étais .
The Bellmoor truly outdid my expectations and was a wonderful highlight during my first visit to the country’s first state on its 250th anniversary. Every team member at the Bellmoor was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our stay. We enjoyed several days with weather over 75 degrees and sunny skies, which made breakfast and relaxing in the garden truly special. We're already looking forward to coming back in the future, and I truly appreciated how warm, supportive, and welcoming everyone was, including the lovely guests we had the pleasure of meeting during our visit.
Location. Having smoked salmon at breakfast was definitely special. Good fruits.
Our garden room seemed much smaller than a previous stay’s room in the main building. No comfortable seating. Some furnishings (bedside tables) showed wear and peeling. Ledges of bathroom door were dirty. No microwave or free water. Noise from construction nearby early in the mornings. Same offerings for breakfast every day.
Friendly, cozy, clean and an amazing experience. Can't wait to go back.
My husband and myself had an overdue 27 Anniversary getaway that was rescheduled due to inclement weather conditions…The room was comfortable and relaxing. I enjoyed not having to go out and get dinner or breakfast… it was one of the most relaxing trip I had in awhile
The front desk staff was very helpful. The main area was very cozy and I loved the ambiance and the gas fireplace. The breakfast was wonderful, and the location was perfect for my needs, which was being near the convention center. It was close to the beach and within walking distance to an a lot of nice restaurants. I liked having the heat light in the bathroom and the use of a bathrobe. Considering how small the room was, I was happy that we had a dresser with some drawers.
I found the room to be very small. It was our first time there and our room was a garden room. So I don't know, had we stayed in the main building. If the room would have been different. There was no room to set up your laptop and working from the bed was very uncomfortable for my back. We enjoyed our stay overall; the room size was the only drawback.
