The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort

Als erstes die Lage und der weisser Sandstrand und das super sauberes klares türkisgrüne Meerwasser. Die vielen Aktivitäten fanden wir sehr interessant. Direkt am strand des hotels links findet man sehr viele farbige fische, sogar mehrere kleine haifische. Man kann zu den Schildkröten mit schwimmweste ca. 10 min schwimmen und schon umkreisen die schildkröten um dich herum. Der Transport vom Flughafen Terengganu zum Jetty Hafen und von dort mit boot zum hotel lief reibungslos. Das Boot von Hotel ist zu empfehlen, ein sicheres boot, das Personal sehr freundlich und professionel , hat alles Koffer von Bus ins Boot umgeladen, wir mussten nichts machen. In der Hotelanlage hatten wir Nadja, die sich sehr proffesionel als betreuerin um uns 4 Tage gekümmert hat. Dann waren 2 Damen, die mit Ihrer tollen sanften Stimme nachmittags für eine gute Stimmung mit live Musik am strand unterhalten haben. Das Service Personal im Restaurant war ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Das Essen bei der Beachbar mit tollem selbst gemachten Pizzateig war sehr gut. Es gibt 4 Billiardtische, tischtennis, tennisplatz, kayak umsonst 2 Stunden, yoga kurs, tolles Gym , trampolin

Das Essen im italienischem Restaurant war sehr gut Sonst war das Frühstück durchschnittlich gut .Qir waren aber nicht wegen Essen da. Es gibt renovierte Zimmer, wir hatten ein älteres Zimmer mit waldblick. Die Sauberkeit im Zimmer war gut, die Dusche ebenfalls ok, aber nicht top, jedoch akzeptabel. Wir sind nicht penibel, manch andere Menschen kann es stören, wenn die Duschwand verkalkungen zeigt, uns hat es nicht gestört. Wir waren nur zum schlafen im zimmer. Die vielen anderen Erlebnissfaktoren in der Hotelanlage überwiegen die kleinen Nachteile, die in den Bewertungen beschrieben werden.

Geniale Lage und traumhafter Strand mit strahlend weißem und feinem Sand und türkis-blauem Wasser. Leckeres reichhaltiges Frühstück. Großzügige saubere zimmer mit bequemem Bett.

1. in die Jahre gekommen (zimmer, ausstattung, strandliegen). Daher 25% zu teuer. 2. ganz schlimm für uns ab 11:00 bis spät abends kaute musik an der Bar, so dass es keinen platz am Strand gibt an dem man die Bässe nicht non stop hört. Diese Idylle wird hierdurch massiv gestört. Wir reisen so weit um meeresrauschen, tiere und vögel zu lauschen und hatten nur „wumm wumm wumm„ im Ohr. Sehr schade! Hoffentlich hat booking.com mal einen filter = „no music“ 3. mit dem „hand-aufhalten“ ist der resort auch ganz schnell dabei, jeder p…. kostet extra!

Fantastische locatie, prachtig strand.

Hygiene viel zwaar tegen en receptie was 's nachts onbereikbaar terwijl we dringend hulp nodig hadden. Dit probeerden ze later compenseren, maar het bleef behelpen. Schoonmaken blijft slecht (1e kamer rooklucht, peuken nog buiten, vervolgens na voedselvergiftiging/spugen bleef wc dagenlang niet goed schoongemaakt). Ontbijt was goed, lunch en diner was middelmatig, roomservice eten leek nergens op. Prijs/kwaliteit echt slecht, want belachelijk duur en echt niet 5-sterrenwaardig. Punt is dat het voor Pulau Redang veruit de beste plek is, maar voor meer dan de hoofdprijs.

Pulizia e manutenzione molto scarse, arredi datati e poca cura nella gestione degli spazi comuni, ombrelloni e lettini insufficienti per tutti gli ospiti. Rapporto qualità prezzo bassissimo.

On s attendait à un des prestations de luxe vu le prix payé et nous avons été très déçus de la chambre, correcte certes, mais pas au niveau d un 5 étoiles L hôtel mériterait une modernisation. La nourriture n’était pas non plus au niveau avec un buffet tourné vers les asiatiques essentiellement alors qu il y avait aussi pas mal d européens Il n y avait pas aussi assez de de transat: les gens mettaient leur serviette et ne revenaient pas. Bref pas au niveau… Au total hôtel très très cher avec un très mauvais rapport qualité prix,

I didn't just "like" my time at The Taaras—I loved it! First and foremost, the staff provided the best hospitality experience I’ve ever had in my life (and I have traveled plenty). Their genuine care is unmatched. The beach is also fantastic and truly out of this world. Finally, I deeply appreciated the hotel’s commitment to the surrounding nature. Seeing animals like monkeys happily roaming around the property was a huge highlight for me. It’s wonderful to stay somewhere that protects its local wildlife.

Struttura di circa 30 anni, molto bella però un po’ trascurata… la pulizia si può migliorare…cibo buono e scelta dei ristoranti. Per le stanze con vista in alto c’è una navetta che gira continuamente quindi molto comodo. La cosa più bella è il mare caraibico, acqua cristallina e sabbia borotalco!!!

Pochi ombrelloni e quei pochi già pieni la mattina alle 7/7.30…. Persone che bloccavano con le loro cose più ombrelloni presto per poi presentarsi dopo pranzo se non nel pomeriggio dopo escursioni fatte! ASSURDO!!!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au Taaras, un hôtel qui nous a particulièrement séduits par la beauté de sa plage, la qualité de son petit déjeuner et la gentillesse de son personnel. Nous avons notamment eu un véritable coup de cœur pour l’équipe du restaurant du petit déjeuner, qui s’est montrée très accueillante et attentionnée. Nous tenons également à remercier Nadia, à la réception, qui nous a très bien accompagnés tout au long de notre séjour. Elle s’est montrée très efficace et disponible pour répondre à toutes nos demandes, que ce soit en personne ou sur WhatsApp. Le petit déjeuner était excellent, avec une mention spéciale pour le stand de roti canai, que nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La plage de l’hôtel est également magnifique, avec une eau d’un bleu cristallin, ce qui rend le cadre particulièrement agréable. Nous avons toutefois été surpris par certains aspects de l’hôtel. Le rapport qualité-prix nous a semblé décevant, le tarif étant assez élevé pour un établissement qui paraît quelque peu vieillissant et qui mériterait plusieurs améliorations, notamment au niveau de la literie. Il s’agit du principal point négatif pour un hôtel de cette catégorie et à ce prix : nous nous réveillions le matin avec le dos complètement douloureux en raison de la qualité du matelas. Nous avons également régulièrement constaté des odeurs de remontées d’égout dans la salle de bain. Par ailleurs, nous avons été surpris de devoir payer pour les masques et les tubas de snorkeling après deux heures d’utilisation. Au vu du prix de l’hôtel, ce matériel devrait être prêté gratuitement, d’autant que les clients viennent notamment pour profiter de la magnifique plage proposée par l’établissement. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au Taaras et avons particulièrement apprécié son cadre exceptionnel, sa plage et la gentillesse de son personnel. L’hôtel mérite le détour, même si certaines améliorations permettraient de rendre l’expérience encore plus agréable.

Struttura un pó datata, prezzo troppo alto per la qualità

Resort immerso nella natura di Redang con spiaggia privata di sabbia bianca con un mare spettacolare. A 300 mt a nuoto si raggiunge turtle point dove si vedono decine di tartarughe. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo ricevuto un upgrade alle Cliff Suites con una vista mozzafiato sulla baia. Colazione internazionale abbondante e di alto livello. Abbiamo pranzato e cenato nei ristoranti del resort e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Una particolare menzione di nota alla cena a bordo piscina con lo spettacolo di fuoco e alla liberazione delle tartarughine appena nate sulla spiaggia in collaborazione con l’università di Kuala Terrenganu.

Due note da segnalare sono i lettini che purtroppo, vista la presenza di molti italiani nella settimana di ferragosto, venivano occupati entro le 8 di mattina, consiglierei di assegnare un lettino e un ombrellone a stanza. Le camere, nonostante siano comunque molto belle, avrebbero bisogno di essere ristrutturate in quanto abbiamo avuto problemi con l’acqua calda della vasca e della doccia e con lo scarico del WC.

L’emplacement est exceptionnel, sur une plage paradisiaque avec du snorkeling à proximité, tortues et coraux tout cela dans une eau cristalline.

Un grand complexe hôtelier un peu impersonnel. Selon moi, les prestations offertes ne sont pas à la hauteur des tarifs pratiqués. Plusieurs points posent problème : Gestion des transats : La course aux transats commence dès le début de la matinée. Il faut se lever très tôt pour espérer en réserver un avec sa serviette. Service décevant : Ma fille fêtait ses 18 ans pendant notre séjour. L'hôtel nous avait proposé de marquer le coup en lui apportant une part de gâteau lors de notre dîner au restaurant. Malgré avoir rappelé notre demande au personnel en arrivant sur place le soir même, rien n'a été fait. Une réelle déception pour cet événement important. Restauration surestimée : Les prix pratiqués au restaurant Le Marinero sont particulièrement élevés par rapport aux tarifs locaux, pour une qualité dans l'assiette qui n'a rien d'exceptionnel. En résumé, l'expérience globale s'avère décevante et le rapport qualité-prix n'y est pas.

Еда на шведском столе, включая завтраки. Скудный выбор, среднее качество. Персонал иногда путает блюда и напитки. Проблемы при чек-ин. Хаос при трансфере назад, учитывая, что он достаточно дорогой.

We where looking for a quite island where we can stay between nature and beach.

Staff is incredible gentle but not at the level expected for a specific price-tag location. Can be improved and it will be a real plus ! Rooms are quite old but well mantained a-part beds (that are REALLY REALLY unconfortable) and AC systems.

La spiaggia privata è bellissima, si possono fare molte attività, il turtle point si può raggiungere tranquillamente in kayak dalla spiaggia privata. La sera si può partecipare al rilascio delle baby tartarughe.

Il prezzo del soggiorno a notte è sproporzionato rispetto alla qualità della struttura e dei servizi, ma se si vuole soggiornare a Redang l’hotel è sicuramente il migliore dell’isola. Noi siamo stati una notte ed abbiamo passato due giornate in totale relax.

Per essere un 5 stelle ho trovata scarsa sia la qualità del cibo che il livello di pulizia Un po’ scarsa anche la qualità e l’organizzazione delle escursioni . Avremmo gradito un maggiore coinvolgimento per le strutture, i servizi e le possibilità di godere delle opportunità che offre l’isola. Sarebbe risultato altrettanto apprezzabile strutturare qualcosa per l’happy hour in spiaggia ed il sunset con cocktails e musica.

Un soggiorno davvero eccellente a Redang The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort merita sicuramente una recensione molto positiva, a partire dall’ampiezza degli spazi, dalla pulizia generale della struttura e dalle dimensioni delle camere, spaziose, confortevoli e molto ben curate. L’accoglienza è di primario livello, con una particolare attenzione verso gli ospiti che arrivano dopo un viaggio inevitabilmente stanchi e accaldati. Nel nostro caso, è stato di grandissimo supporto Bryan, che si è reso immediatamente disponibile ad assisterci per qualsiasi necessità durante il soggiorno. Una presenza discreta ma costante, con una comunicazione via WhatsApp sempre recepita e soprattutto tempestiva. Un servizio che abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo. Anche la ristorazione è stata una piacevole sorpresa. La proposta non si limita alla cucina asiatica, ma offre anche diversi piatti internazionali di ottima qualità, accompagnati da una carta dei vini decisamente interessante. Anche qui abbiamo incontrato una persona che ha contribuito a rendere ancora più piacevole il nostro soggiorno: Ayuni, una collaboratrice locale estremamente disponibile, sorridente e simpatica, che con grande entusiasmo cercava persino di parlare italiano con noi! La spiaggia, infine, è probabilmente il vero punto di forza del resort: a nostro avviso la più bella di Redang e, senza dubbio, la più pulita. Mare cristallino, sabbia splendida e una baia che rappresenta esattamente ciò che ci si aspetta quando si immagina un’isola tropicale. Nel complesso, The Taaras riesce a coniugare una posizione straordinaria con un servizio attento e una struttura molto ben organizzata. Se si decide di soggiornare a Redang, a mio avviso The Taaras non è semplicemente una delle alternative: è l’unica scelta che prenderei realmente in considerazione.

Everything about the property was lovely. We had a spacious and luxurious suit that offered fantastic views of the beach and bright blue water of the bay. The beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing! breakfast offered a wide range of options all of which were fresh and delicious. The water in the bay was simply incredible! Possibly the clearest and warmest I have ever swam in. Plenty of tropical fish life to see straight from the beach as well as Green turtles swimming wildly around the bay!

Breakfast was very busy and a little tight on space for the number of guests but this could of just been that everyone was arriving at the same time. The coffee was also not great from the machines.. Sadly the use of Starbucks beans makes it worse!

The hotel is being renovated step by step and will need further repairs to accommodate 5 stars expectations. Staff is friendly but somewhat inexperienced while full of goodwill. The dining options are good but not exceptional and the international guest groups sometimes take away the peaceful atmosphere that would work best in this resort

We were initially allocated a Cliff Bay Suite, which looked very appealing on the Booking.com website. When we arrived, we discovered that these rooms are in an old run-down part of the hotel. Bad smell in the shower, barely working aircon. We then moved to a ocean front suite, which was better. Cleaner, no bad smell. But at a significant extra cost, and only a marginally better aircon. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

Only good thing was water and the beach. The food was not worth the high prices at all! While resort was the way too expensive and it has the old feeling

There is transfer from airport or if you come by car can come to Jetty. They send message and meet, very convenient. The beach is good, clean and comfy. I couldn’t swim because some health problem, but even I could see some fishes and baby sharks. The beach bar also good, guys are working very fast and polite. Territory is good and I saw security who check if you stay in hotel, so I guess that’s why on the beach don’t have so much people. Breakfast was good, Indian, Chinese and standard cuisine. I liked that part that we can see monkeys in balcony and they were coming almost every day. It was looking so interesting. Personal is good everywhere, but I liked more who works in the beach side, they were great.

So, why -5. Because rooms were in terrible condition. All furniture is so old and needs to change. Washroom is so smelly and dirty. It is not like 5 star hotel at all. Really need to change, not clean, change!!! The sofa has been covered in mold for a long time, which I'm not sure any dry cleaning service can remove. The air conditioner is incredibly noisy and leaks, like it's from the last century. The balcony door creaks and can't be opened. The bathroom is already completely yellow. Everything in the room needs to be replaced immediately. The conditions are simply appalling. I'll be waiting for notification that the premises have been renovated and that we can return again. However, under these conditions, guests will not be returning.

The price it’s very expensive

Although the hotel is a bit outdated, we really enjoyed our stay at The Taaras. This was mostly due to the most welcoming and client-oriented staff I have ever seen. Overall, Malaysia is a very hospitable country, but at The Taaras, the services provided exceeded all expectations. Yes, as mentioned in other reviews, there are sand fleas on the beach, but they didn't bother us much. The hotel provides insect repellent to protect guests against fleas. The key advantage of the hotel is that it is located right next to the famous Turtle Beach! You can easily swim on your own and see turtles without taking any excursions.

Estremamente pulito, ordinato, camera grande (suite vista giardino, in 4 avevamo due suite comunicanti), letto comodissimo, prodotti per doccia, spazzolino, dentifricio, necessario per farsi la barba, ciabatte per la stanza, infradito per il mare...insomma veramente tutto! Personale gentilissimo, tutti, Brian il responsabile della stanza super attento per ogni esigenza. Colazione spettacolare, con tutto quello che può venire in mente! Mare davanti meraviglioso!

super schöner Platz in einem perfekten Hotel. Essen, Cocktails ausgezeichnet und die Cliff Suite einfach nur super super schön. Das ganze übertrifft nur noch die Erfahrung mit den Meeresschildkröten. Wir habe junge ausgegrabenen und sind mit den großen geschwommen. Zudem hat der guide von uns videos im Meer gemacht wie wir mit den großen Schwimmen ... unglaublich. Das Personal unglaublich freundlich und das bier ausgezeichnet. dann kommt noch die Feuershow am Strand

The Taaras is possibly the most beautiful resort you could stay at. This is reflected not just by the property and the location but also by the people and the food. It's a 5* with an experience. The hotel really is beautiful, the sand is like silk and the water is warm and clear. Rooms: 5/5 - We had a garden suite sea view and it was beautiful. I beach cabin with all the amenities. It's nothing flashy inside, but it's a beach cabin, what more can you expect?! The bed was comfortable, the rooms were spacious, it was clean and had AC. It was very comfortable. Service 5/5 - The service reflected the status of the hotel. Mei looked after every need and requirement we had, including sourcing baby wipes on the island when we ran out. She kept us up to date on activities on the island and ensured our daughter was catered for. Including a surprise birthday arrival cake. Everyone from Eddie, who helped us with the luggage, to the gents at the beach bar who made amazing cocktails, Saffiyah who always served us and always came to say hello. Big shout out to Chef Affendi who catered amazingly for our daughter who is 1yr old and cannot have salt and sugar. He went out of his way to make her meals and ensure she was fed on time! We can't thank you enough for this. Food/Drinks: 5/5. Possibly some of the best chicken curry ive had with our roti canai ANYWHERE! The food at breakfast was amazing and so was lunch and dinner. Everything was flavoursome and fresh.The cocktails at the beach hut were also awesome. Amenities: 5/5 The one thing they lacked which all other hotels provided was a bottle steriliser; however, Chef Affendi did sterilise our bottles every day using their microwave so there was no issue. The hotel caters for everything and everyone. We played tennis, pool, table tennis, carom, we swam with turtles, our daughter got to release baby turtles, we visited the SPA, we bought ice creams and the list goes on…

Leider ist es sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Wir mussten unser Zimmer wechseln, da das Zimmer nicht sauber war. Die Anlage ist sehr schlecht gepflegt. Die Infrastruktur veraltet und die Pflanzen vertrocknet.

とにかく海が綺麗で、山に挟まれた湾が美しかった。レストランは3種類あり食事も美味しかった。シュノーケリングツアーも快適で、部屋も古いけど綺麗でした。スタッフの親切、フレンドリーさは素晴らしかった。

建物が古く、シャワーのスイッチをつけていてもお湯が出なかった。朝になると羽アリの死骸がバスルームと玄関にいっぱい入っていた。 2泊4人でRM6400もしたのでコストパフォーマンスが非常に悪いと感じた シュノーケリングツアーでタオルと水を自分でボートまで運ばされたのは初めてです。プールは小さかった。

The beach was great - fine sand, clear blue waters and warm. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and well air conditioned and little box of chocolate treats delivered every afternoon was a nice touch

Unfortunately we were not able to snorkel off the beach due to weather and tide conditions but this is not predictable. There was live music at The Cove but the speakers were way TOO loud as you could barely hear the person sitting next to you. Drinks and food on the pricey side but we were expecting that…

Resort situato su una spiaggia di sabbia bianca finissima con acqua cristallina! Il resort è veramente bello e dotato di ogni comfort. Personale professionale, gentilissimo e sempre a disposizione, a tutte le ore. Ci sono un paio di ristoranti sulla spiaggia a disposizione per pranzo e cena (oltre al bar), tra cui da menzionare particolarmente il ristorante Italiano: pochi piatti ma cucinati bene. Colazione a buffet nel ristorante principale buonissima. Il bar “The cove” sulla spiaggia offre tutto il giorno un eccellente servizio con chiamata a bottone da sotto l’ombrellone e ottimi cocktail. Le Garden view suites sono belle e accoglienti, con comodo accesso sulla spiaggia. Abbiamo provato anche le Cliff Bay view suites e sono spettacolari con una vista mozzafiato! Appartamento molto grande e spaziosissimo. Bellissima la vasca jacuzzi vista baia! Nel resort c’è anche un centro escursioni; organizzate molto bene, soprattutto le immersioni. Ottima esperienza!

Je ne laisse habituellement jamais de commentaires négatifs, mais au vu du tarif payé (plus de 400€ la nuit), je ne peux pas passer cette expérience sous silence. L’hôtel est extrêmement excentré : il n’y a que deux routes sur l’île, ce qui rend les déplacements très compliqués. Il n’y a aucun taxi, et il est très difficile de trouver des taxiboats. L’hôtel ne propose qu’un seul contact, qui ne répond pas. Résultat : on se retrouve rapidement bloqués. Nous avons également été très déçus par la politique tarifaire : tout est payant. Même le transfert jusqu’au jetty (le port principal de l’île, point de passage obligatoire pour tous les déplacements en bateau, situé à seulement 5 minutes en voiture) est facturé, alors qu’il n’existe aucune alternative. L’hôtel en est parfaitement conscient et en profite, en facturant 60 RM par personne et par trajet (soit environ 27€ aller-retour) pour quelques minutes seulement. La restauration n’était pas du tout au niveau attendu pour ce standing, et le petit-déjeuner était également décevant. Nous avons loué un scooter pour pouvoir nous déplacer un minimum, mais avec seulement deux routes sur l’île, cela reste très limité.

The location and nature beauty surrounds this property which I will say is god’s gift. The sea was beautiful and most clear.

There were no facilities as expected. This property cannot be called as five star. The curtains in room torn, the food options were just average, they didn’t have speed boat, yacht, and even the ponto shown in picture ( the hut across sea) was not working. Staff just politely says no for everything I asked. I mean even if u can say it’s off season but you are getting customer so please be ready to provide service.

La cadre et la plage privée sont magnifique. Personnel très aimable et très accueillant bien rien à dire.

This is the only hotel in the bay. We came at the end of March which is considered a low season, but the weather was really nice! Clear water, plankton doesn't bite. It is easy to swim on a kayak and snorkel with the turtles. Very calm. Very friendly staff. Hamdan from reception is very attentive ❤️

Sandflies sometimes bit us. But the good thing is that the hotel provides balm after bites, and prevention method (the spray on the beach, it really helps).

L'hotel est situé sur une magnifique plage, la mer change en permanence de couleur. C'est calme, la déconnection est totale. Notre chambre avait une vue incroyable sur la plage...

si je dois trouver quelque chose à redire, ca serait juste l'eau de la douche et de la baignoire qui n'étaient pas assez chaude

Posizione su spiaggia splendida privata con mare azzurro trasparente e fondale sabbioso degradante. Bar e ristorante fronte mare, ottimo il ristorante italiano-indiano, ottima cucina (ospiti almeno la settimana di ferragosto per lo piu italiani) personale gentilissimo, camera grande , buggy sempre a disposizione , intrattenimento per ragazzi con postazioni gratuite di biliardo ping pong biliardino , trampolini e scivolo gonfiabile in acqua, kayak . Programma di tutela tartarughe con possibilità di partecipare al rilascio dei cuccioli. Ci tornerei

Condizionatore in camera rumoroso, le nostre camere comunicanti vista collina a piano terra avevano il bagno con forte odore di muffa (ma comunque moderno ampio e pulito) ombrelloni in spiaggia un po troppo vicini, sdraio in legno molto pesanti non agevoli da spostare, a 7.30 della mattina prima fila di ombrelloni già occupata con asciugamani...la spiaggia è molto lunga consente sia di aumentarne il numero che di distanziarli. Per lo snorkelling necessario fare escursioni

Luxury green property, excellent service. We had the beach for ourselves and few others. Cannot fault it. Made memories for life

The beach was crystal clear. At one point we found ourselves completely alone, it felt wonderfully private! The Cliff Bay room was great, featuring a spacious bathroom, a large living area, and a comfortably sized bedroom. The view from the room was amazing. There’s a shortcut to the beach but its quite a long flight of steps so we opted to take the buggy to the main lobby/ beach instead each time. We joined the complimentary 1hour snorkeling trip, just a short boat ride from the resort. It was my 4.5-year-old boy’s 1st snorkeling experience so the location and duration were perfect. We even got to see a few big turtles swimming right around us! The food served at The Cove was quite delicious. We love relaxing there in the early evening, enjoying a leisurely dinner and the gentle sea breeze while watching our toddler run around, play in the sand by the beach. The hotel staffs were extremely helpful and friendly too. We couldn't wait to be back!

Breakfast spreads didn't change much day to day, and by the second and third mornings of our 3-night stay, it felt quite boring. I requested the complimentary birthday arrangement for my husband, whose birthday fell on the 2nd day of our stay, but the staff arranged it on our arrival day instead and mistakenly addressed it to me. We didn’t really mind, but it did feel like they didn’t put much effort into it. It would’ve been nicer if they got it right.
