Reviewed Sep 18, 2026Easy to find and check in was open all afternoon. Good that it has its own restaurant so we could eat there. Rooms were clean and cool. Nice setting. Also easy going about paying up front which is very helpful.

We booked for 7.30 but sat for almost 1 hour before even drinks were served. The kitchen and staff were obviously under pressure from what appeared to be a large party in the main breakfast/dining area. Not good for resident guests!

Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Bij aankomst werden we vriendelijk ontvangen. We kregen een kamer op de eerste etage. Het hotel heeft kamers op de begane grond en een eerste etage. Deze etage is te bereiken via een trap, er is geen lift. Ook al ben je goed ter been, je moet rekening houden met bagage die naar boven gedragen moet worden. Op de kamer was een kleine koelkast en een gelegenheid om thee en of koffie te maken. Er was geen kluisje. Het ontbijt is goed, ook al moet je zelf je eitje koken. Het avondeten was zeer goed en de bediening was vriendelijk. Er was een behoorlijke ruimte bij het hotel om je auto te parkeren. En dit terrein kon met een hek gesloten worden .
Er is geen airco. Je kan als het warm is de deuren openen, maar zonder horren kan dat heel vervelend zijn. In onze kamer was een bad aanwezig. De douche zat in het bad en dat kan voor sommige mensen onhandig zijn.

We had booked a wheelchair accessible room. The bathroom had recently been renovated but there were no handles or rails anywhere, not for the toilet or the shower making the use of both these very difficult.

Nous avions réservé une chambre supérieure, qui était agréable et confortable. En revanche, la salle de bain et les toilettes mériteraient vraiment d’être rafraîchies. L’ensemble paraît assez ancien : abattant des toilettes jauni, visserie rouillée, joints de la baignoire moisis et peinture écaillée.

Pedi opcion sin gluten y me trajeron dos panecillos duros y frios. Nada mas. Pienso que hay muchas alternativas para hacer mas amigables el desayuno para alguien intolerante al gluten. Sugiero que para entrar a la banadera o ducha pongan un baranda para sostenerse porque alguien sin equilibrio puede tener un accidente.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Great location next to the A28 but far enough away not to hear it. The staff were excellent, assisted in charging my Hybrid car and making us welcome. The dinner was excellent in beautiful surroundings, breakfast was good a hot choice was available. It was a joy to have tea/coffee available in the room.
The room facilities were clean and functional but the shower was over the bath and I find at my age that its a bit of a challenge.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2026Hotel je usazen v opečované zahradě, vstřícný a přátelský personál. Vše starší, ale skvěle udržované. Parking umožňující stín pod vzrostlými stromy. Klid. Je fajn tu být autem, abyste se snáz dostali do nádherného Rouen.
Bydleli jsme s velkým psem v krásném prostorném pokoji na přízemi a bylo by fajn mít okna na vyklápění a se sítí proti hmyzu. Snídaňový bufet by určitě mohl být bohatší na 4* (větší výběr šunek/sýrů, zeleniny, ovoce, sladkého i slaného pečiva), ale vybrali jsme si i pochutnali.

The pillows were soft and lumpy. Whilst the bathroom and toilet were really clean I felt that the bedroom surfaces would have benefited from a spray clean.

I was slightly over charged for a meal in the restaurant and on paying in the morning, the lady insisted that she give me cash back rather than refund my card which meant we had to go hunting for one euro to get a refund of 9 euros. That was the only issue .

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026Exceptionally nice gardens and exterior presentation. Very helpful staff who’s English was far better than my French!
We stayed during a heatwave and there was no air-con. Admittedly, after we looked back at the advert, there is no mention of AC for the rooms. It was our mistake to assume. It’s worth mentioning the restaurant may not be to everyone’s taste. It is nice but there are no simple / basic options if you have fussy party members. I found the Trout bland but the Guinea Fowl was lovely. We were surprised that the beer prices were the highest we found on our entire trip from the UK to Southern Spain and back.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Omgeving van hotel was prachtig en personeel voorkomend. Het menu was heerlijk. Prijs menu en drankjes prima. Fantastisch onderhouden tuin en genoeg parkeerplaatsen. Onze fietsen konden ook veilig staan.
Wij hadden de pech om op de heetste dagen in juni bij la Barteliere te verblijven. Slapeloze nachten ivm de hitte op de kamer en de ventilators waren (nacht 1) niet meer voorradig.

No air con and was extremely hot when we were there ,had no sleep, thought 4 star would have air con , did have to ask for a fan , which was very small and did nothing, had to pay extra for the dogs 18 euros for 1 night, 2 dogs - far to expensive, and only found out a few days before , so didn't want to change hotel as short notice for our trip, didn't eat in restaurant, as review was not good , the other 4 star hotels we stayed in , all had air con and didn't charge for dogs ,
