Hotel Kull von Schmidsfelden

Wir hatten 5 Zimmer gebucht für einen Stop-Over bei einer Motorradreise. Ja, das Hotel und die Einrichtung sind in die Jahre gekommen, aber es ist alles sauber und funktioniert. Man könnte auch sagen: Das Hotel verströmt den Charme der 50er- und 60er-Jahre. Der Empfang war super freundlich und hatte Tipps fürs Abendessen und die Wettervorhersage für den nächsten Tag auf Lager. Die Lage ist top, man ist nach wenigen Metern mitten im Ort. Ich mag solche Häuser viel lieber als irgendwelche seelenlosen, zu einer Kette gehörenden Standardhotels.

Het hotel ligt op een mooie locatie.De gastheer was erg vriendelijk en gaf me zelfs heerlijke druiven uit zijn tuin mee.

Rezeption nicht besetzt. Kontakt über Telefon. Schlüssel an Tresen hinterlegt. Beide Zimmer entsprachen nicht unseren Vorstellungen (Käfer und anderes Getier ). Räume nicht sauber! Nach 2.Telefonat wurde Hotel verlassen. Storno erfolgte durch Besitzer und wurde von booking anerkannt. Keine Zahlung erfolgt. Bewertung erfolgte bereits erstmalig kurzfristig nach Abbruch des Aufenthalts.

Strange check in process, no one to see. We reached a reception via a phone with instruction for check in. Building is old , outdide is under renovation but inside already renovated. Toilet flush has loud water pump. we got shocked with the sound when we went to toilet middle of the night.

Nettes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal. Das Gebäude ist etwas veraltet, wird aber nach und nach renoviert. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber es ist alles da. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier voll! Frühstück ist super!

Alles gepflegt und sehr sauber

Hygiene und Personal sehr gut und freundlich. Tolle Lage im Zentrum mit einem sehr guten Frühstück. Zimmer mit tollem Blick nach vorne. Der Charme passt und macht einen schönen Flair aus.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut Sauberkeit war auch gut. Der Inhaber war stets bemüht alles uns Recht zu machen.

Das Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Aber Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist Okay

Wenm man ein Altes Hotel im altem Dorf mag, dann ist das eine gute Wahl. Leider, wie wir gehört haben, muss das Hotel renoviert und neuen Vorschriften angepasst werden, daher beeilt Euch, danach wird es wie überall sein!! Und dann bestimmt auch viel teurer! Der Hausherr ist sehr nett, flexibel, immer erreichbar und gleichzeitig zurückhaltend und freundlich. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die flexible Handhabung des Checkins. Danke und wir kommen nächstes Jahr gerne wieder. Das Ehepaar Alicja&Oliver

Der Fahrstuhl ist sehr langsam, wenn man es eilig hat sollte man die Treppen nehmen. Oder die Fahrt zum Durchatmen nutzen....

Ich liebe den Kaffee! Sehr saubere Zimmer in einem historische Gebäude. Sehr gute Insider Tipps, wo man gut essen kann! Sehr nette Management! Sehr schöne Blick vom Balkon!

Gute Lage

Frühstück könnte besser sein, Rührei, Spiegeleier kosten extra. Parkplätze sind sehr wenige vorhanden.

Betten waren sehr gut, das Bad allerdings entsprach nicht ganz unseren Wünschen Es war aber alles sehr sehr.

Не понравилось то что я заказывала номер с ванной, а дали без неё. Кофе, чай только платный. В номере нет не кофе, не чая, не чайника. Хотела попить вечером чай , а не смогла. Завтраки холодные. Яйца, сыр, 3х, а то 4х дневные. Огурец, помидор вообще вялые в ужасном состоянии. Кстати , очень странная ситуация была с ключем. Мы своим ключем открывали свою комнату и входную дверь в отель. И по логике это значит этим же ключем значит я могу открыть любую дверь в отеле? Короче говоря, я себя чувствовала не в безопасности. В итоге мы уехали на 5 дней раньше. И деньги нам никто не вернул конечно же. Еще забыла , когда приехали, хозяина ждали еще под дверью, парковка максимум на 5 машин и то малогабаритных.

Eigentlich nur die Nähe zur Reha Klinik

Es fehlen mir die Worte … das hat absolut nix mit Charme zu tun. Einfach nur gruselig von oben bis unten. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Alles aber auch wirklich alles veraltet, verschlissen… abgeranzt bis zum geht nicht mehr . Das Daunen Kopfkissen war ein Alptraum das es so etwas unhygienisches gibt , kaum zu glauben. Auch die Matratze Anno 1900 . Das kann man nicht Bett nennen. Der Geruch im Zimmer hat alles übertroffen, muffelig mit Schimmel Extrakt. Die Möbel und das Holzregal muffeln. Der Teppichboden unbeschreiblich, wiederlich ! Die Dusche … Alptraum pur. Ganz ehrlich reist die Hütte ab.

Kein Parkplatz obwohl wir den gebucht haben.. niemand an der Rezeption, mussten lange draussen warten bis wir überhaupt einchecken konnten, die Klingel funktionierte offenbar nicht. Die Zimmer waren eiskalt

Die Lage in Bad Herrenalb genial echt zum empfehlen

Lage gut, allerdings die Matratzen/Betten eine Katastrophe, total durchgelegen. Auch die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Frühstücksraum sehr in die Jahre gekommen.

Zimmer Relikt aus den 70er Jahren Betten durchgelegen. Badezimmer sollte dringend auf neueren Stand gebracht werden. Das Hotel mehr als sanierungsbeduertig. Auf den Balkon haben wir uns nicht gewagt.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel mit 70er Charme. Könnte etwas Liebe und Investitionen gebrauchen, was sich vermutlich nur schwer lohnt. Aber als Gast würde man sich dann etwas wohler fühlen.

Einfaches sauberes Zimmer, sehr nette aufmerksame Hotelführung.

Bettmatrase und Kissen war in schlechte Qualität und durchgedrückte.. Aber die Heizung war in Ordnung, weil draußen sehr kalt war.

Very clean, cozy, and convenient Hotel, walking distance to shops and restaurants etc. Fantastic breakfast that gets served in the cozy, traditional Black Forest "Jaeger Stube". Location is central but very safe and quiet. Very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this Hotel again.

Well maintained traditional hotel in the centre of town with good access to shops and park. Host is very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Remote check-in by phone at unmanned reception, but all worked well. Car parking right outside the door.

The staff was very accommodating and always cheery and friendly.

Comfortable good value hotel provided me a good sleep after long motorbike ride. The gentleman at the door was super friendly and provided good tips for the next day's ride. Cold beers available in the fridge were needed, and breakfast was good. Happy with my stay!

Personal sehr freundlich, das Haus ist aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommenen. Frühstück war okay. Nur zwei Brötchen Sorten zur Auswahl und am zweiten Tag gab es nur eine Sorte Brötchen. Für Spiegelei oder Rührei zahlte man extra.

Bad Herrenalb is cool

The hotel offered poor quality service, with a mean receptionist. Room service was either non-existent or troublesome: knock knock I'm in your room at breakfast time. No hand soap ("use the body lotion in the shower"), an empty box of handkerchiefs, cobwebs, torn duvet...

Stayed here for one night and would recommend for anyone looking for a base while sightseeing. The hotel staff was extreme helpful and friendly which made our stay even more pleasant. Thank you for having us.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis / Leistung passt absolut. Schöne Aussicht von den Zimmern und frisch zubereitetes Rühr/Spiegelei zum Frühstück. Nicht so ein „fertig-zeug“. Wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind, kommen wir gerne wieder vorbei.

Die Sauberkeit insbesondere der Inlays der Betten lies schwer zu wünschen übrig. Ausserdem sind die Zimmer derart hellhörig, dass man die Gespräche im Nebenzimmer so klar mithören kann, als ob man direkt dabeisässe.

Preiswertes Hotel mitten in der Innenstadt, Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Im Hotel gibt es einen Getränkekühlschrank mit Selbstbedienung. Der Parkplatz ist direkt am Haus, die Wege waren angenehm kurz. Freundliches Personal und angenehmes Ambiente

Une nuit dans un hôtel très défraîchi. L'accueil était limite poli, la chambre sombre bien que repeinte récemment, la salle de bain vétuste et pas très propre (paroi de douche pas nettoyée) les lits confortables et le calme royal: forcement l’hôtel était presque désert! Heureusement que le petit déjeuner est venu rehausser le moral, complet et varié avec le sourire de l'employée.

Easter weekend 2018: to be honest this hotel was exceptional value. The hotel and in particular the decor was dated but the couple who manage and run it welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is buffet style plenty of cereal fruit meats and cheese and bread as well as fresh coffee or tea and choice of juice. On the negative side Bad Herrenalb is okay for a couple of nights. A great place for walking the walk over the hill to Dobel with stunning views towards Karlsruhe and the Vosges are worthwhile. That said Bad Herrenalb doesn't have a lot more to offer, some of the cafes and restaurants only open at the weekend and the bar in town is a smokers paradise. Thankfully Karlsruhe and Ettlingen are relatively close by as are Baden Baden (the latter by bus). As a solo traveller I wouldn't make Bad Herrenalb my first choice perhaps with a partner it would be okay. The hotel has been around since 1856 has a lot of unused space is good value for money and probably has a fascinating history and it is possible that I would go back for a weekend.v

The bed was rock hard. The tv was broken. The bathroom had mold. The staff was nice though.

Lovely family run hotel. I went for a business trip despite being on a turístic area. Good breakfast and polite service.

We stayed only for one night. The hotel was clean but needed some TLC. We had no breakfast as it was unavailable for this particular booking. The owner informed me that breakfast would have been included if we had not used Expedia.

First criteria on the hotel check list: is it clean and well-located? The answer is a big YES! The rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms, and everything is clean, very clean. True, the hotel isn't recent but I liked the feeling of time travel (again, as long as the hygiene is allright). Water in the bathroom comes from the same spring as the thermal water, so that bathing in the evening is an extra spa moment. The shower curtain was spotless, looked new, no mold, no stains - not always the case, even in more expensive places. Comfy bed, great views. Breakfast is unique as well. I love those German breakfasts where you have a choice of sweet or saltened. Buffet was not kilometer-long, but the products were fresh and local - the smoked ham was real, local, Black Forest, excellent quality meat and did definitely not taste like plastic-wrapped, mass-feeding stuff. Coffee was German-style, not Italian, yet they are some of the few people who actually manage to make this form of american-style brewed coffee tasty. The breakfast room in itself is quaint - and the lady made me laugh when she told me the secret to how to clean the fox - Yes, there is a stuffed fox in the breakfast room. Hunting used to be local culture in the woods, I don't travel to judge culture and tradition and found it added a touch of humor to the room. I also liked that one bottle of water was offered with the room, and that a fridge with beverages was accessible to the customers on a trusting basis that you would pay for your beverages on check out. For those with the "inspector Derrick" cultural reference: I felt like being in an old German series, but in a good way! It gave the place a truely unique flavor, far from all stereotyped and in the end esthetically boring new hotels. I liked the "cabinet de curiosités" touch of it.

Dated and archaic. TV in corner of ceiling was only a 12" screen. Beds were not comfortable. Internet service only came in if you were standing next to the reception desk. Getting in and out of the shower was a dangerous balancing act.

I don't mind old fashioned, but do mind if the place. The hotel has not been changed since the 50s? The place is so depressing, and we didn't want to stay in the room other than sleeping, checked out as soon as we got up.
