Breakfast, however not included in our roomrate
Beach closed; men at work all around; restauration; alternative beach by bus transport, however transport option ends at ca. 5pm; alternative beach is not private, but at least Fri-Sun springbreak atmosphere; manager and the team not available for complaint handling over 3 days;
I am a resident of Grand Cayman, I booked Marriot Cayman from July 10th - 13th because this is where my niece's wedding reception is going to be. I received a generic email two days before my arrival, which informed me that I could check in online. I appreciated this convenience and completed the online check-in process. I was there the morning of the 10th as we were there to check the reception hall. Although check in is at 4pm, as I was already there in the morning, I approached the front desk if I could check in early, the staff member confirmed that my room was ready. However, he mentioned that he needed to see the physical card I used for the online booking. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my purse with me, so I promised to return later. Upon my return, a different staff member was at the front desk. I provided the necessary ID, but when I offered to show her my physical card, she told me it wasn’t needed and that everything was fine. I felt uneasy about this and wish I had asked more questions. The next day, I noticed two charges of different amounts on my card. I went downstairs to inquire about them, and another staff member explained that they were for incidentals. Although I wasn't fully convinced, I decided to let it go. I asked how many more charges I could expect, and she assured me there would only be one additional charge of that amount. This didn't happened! Wedding day was the Saturday and we had activities lined up the Sunday so I didn't have much time to check on my balances, something I shouldn’t have to worry about during such a busy time. On the day of checkout, July 13th, I noticed two more charges on my card, bringing the total to four charges. I didn't raise any concerns since the total matched what I expected. However, two days later, on July 15th, I received a notification that my card was charged again for the full amount of my stay. Upon checking my account, I saw that the full amount had been charged, while the previous three charges remained as pending holds. I contacted Marriott Guest Services to address this issue, but I was met with excuses. They informed me that the release of my funds depended on my bank. I clarified that my bank wasn’t responsible for the charges; it was Marriott that imposed them. While they apologized and offered an upgrade for a future stay, my money remains on hold—14 business days and counting. This experience has left me disheartened, and I doubt I will return; it’s certainly not reflective of the famed "Cayman Kind" hospitality. Regarding the accommodations, the rooms were acceptable, but they had a musty, old smell upon entering. However, due to the wedding festivities, we didn’t let this bother us too much. On a positive note, I highly recommend Anchor's and Den. We enjoyed a delightful brunch there on Sunday, July 12th. Our server was attentive, and the food was, as always, excellent—definitely one of our brunch favorites! Until Marriott revises their charging policy, I cannot recommend the hotel. I wouldn’t want others to endure the same frustrating experience that I have faced. It feels unjust that I am still unable to use my card due to these held charges initiated by Marriott.
We had the best time staying at the Grand Marriott Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautiful, spotless, and luxurious the hotel felt. Even with the building construction taking place, it never took away from our experience. A very special thank you to Kevin, our housekeeper, who went above and beyond to keep our room immaculate throughout our 9-day stay. The staff were welcoming, the hotel was stunning, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend the Grand Marriott Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway!
I had a wonderful check-in experience at the Marriott Cayman. Anina was polite, welcoming, and very helpful throughout the process. She made everything quick and easy while providing excellent customer service. Thank you for making such a great first impression—I truly appreciated your professionalism and kindness!
The Grand Cayman Marriott was the most wonderful experience. The staff, the hotel and the view was amazing. The kindness and customer service we had was exceptional. I want to mention simply everyone who made our family vacation so extraordinary. but to mention a few....Thank you to Ella, Junita, Minu, Murine, Syrene, Litha, Gregor, Dre and Jev and Jessie. You were Always so helpful, so accommodating and with a smile. The resort is beautiful too and we were upgraded to an ocean view room. It was the Best Summer Vacation Thank you Grand Cayman Marriott.
It feels Compact. You never had far to go, all the facilities and functionality were a short walk from each other.
It was a little tired.
The hotel, rooms, and food exceeded expectations. The pool is very small but was never crowded during our stay. There is construction taking place out back as they restore the beach, but the shuttle (or quick walk) to Jacks Beach Bar was actually an upgrade to me! Quick shout out to the staff that made our stay so enjoyable: Milan in the coffee shop remembered my name and order each morning! Belle was a friendly server that was always checking to make sure we were enjoying our food and any special requests, Karl at the front door was helpful with taxis and recommendations, Sheryl and Omar also added to the experience. My husband raved about Felda at the spa. She did such a great job her went back a second time!
We stayed here 6/29 through 7/3. Not a great experience. As a previous review mentions, the beach access is not available currently and the construction is an eyesore. The shuttle the hotel provides to take you down the beach to a private area is very nice though. It is a private area for Marriot at Jacks beach bar. Our stay was also interrupted by broken elevators and for two days straight no working water for a few hours in the morning. The water was turned back on fairly quickly, but was running brown water the last day before we left to checkout. Overall not worth the price, go somewhere else is my recommendation.
We took our niece and nephew there while visiting Cayman. Sid was great and played along with the kids as they enjoyed virgin Pina Colada’s and Mudslides.
I love this little Marriott so i came back after 10 years. I was disappointed to find out they have major renovations which if you are booking in bonvoy app it doesn’t alert you and other 3rd party sites also do not include crucial information if you are expecting to have direct access to the beach - its why people come to 7 mile beach after all However dont come here until 2027 as they have major renovations in the pool and beach area. I understand beaches need to be worked on, but instead of giving easy access to guests to next door beaches they have blocked off everything.
Excellent location, welcoming atmosphere, excellent service Sr. Gregon thanks and to everyone who worked during my stay
We stayed June 19-22 in an oceanfront room (DBOF) and did not have direct beach access for a single day of our trip. The beach was closed for construction, which we were notified of only 13 days before arrival with no cancellation offer and no rate adjustment — far too late to rebook comparable accommodations at fair rates. The Marriott-designated alternative beach was completely non-functional. When we drove there during stated operating hours we found zero Marriott staff and all beach chairs stacked and unavailable. Construction noise was audible from our room throughout the entire stay and the active construction site was visible directly from our oceanfront room — the very room we paid a premium for. When we raised this at the property the manager incorrectly claimed a free cancellation had been offered, which is directly contradicted by the June 6 notification email we received, which contains no such offer. The resort fees of $53.30 KYD per night were charged in full despite the beach services they are meant to cover being completely unavailable. The pool and restaurant staff were friendly and the room itself was clean. But we booked a beach resort specifically for beach access. What we received was a construction site with a pool. Formal complaint filed with Marriott corporate.
Restaurant at the Marriott Grand in Houston, TX- has tanked. Really bad - when it was the St. Regis it was superb and it was the reason I stayed here. I love the people at this hotel and the wait staff at the hotel are also amazing. Sadly Marriott has taken a Rolls Royce of a restaurant and turned It into a Kia. The Eggs Benedict at this property (when it was the St. Regis) was a top 5 including my travels to 5 star hotels in the US and Europe, Eggs Benedict now is on par with Denny's--cold and tasteless, the hollandaise was goopy and cold, it came with hard eggs, and the muffins were barely toasted and they were doughy and chewy. I decided to give them another shot for lunch, I tried the Caesar Salad with salmon, salad was acceptable but the $18.00 salmon on the salad was inedible, it was chewy, bland and tasteless- I asked then to take if off the bill after one bite and I sent it back- I've never sent anything back at a restaurant in my life. The wait staff is wonderful, really kind and attentive, I hope they get a kitchen that will support them - The restaurant is almost always empty and now I understand why-
The Westin on seven Mile Beach was my husband‘s and my favorite place to travel. Throughout our almost 30 years of marriage we went seven times. Everything is always impeccably clean very well manage and no need goes undressed. This was my first trip back after losing my husband. A.HUGE thank you to Sean Adams from the outdoor bar and Grill. He welcomed me back, and made me feel like family, and I didn’t feel alone
We had a wonderul experience the hotel is amazing with different activities for kids my son had the best experience with JUNITA she is amazing so patient with kids and kind my son Leo loved her sweet personality. Thank you Marriot grand Cayman
Every single thing about our experience at Marriott Resort Grand Cayman was exceptional. Food, service (Elaine!), check in (Jaden!) , bellmen (Gregon!), towels/umbrella, even the onsite store was wonderful. Hands down the best and most upscale Marriott I've stayed, and the price point was perfect. Convenient location on 7Mi Beach, near good restaurants. Our ocean view room was quiet, clean, with great amenities. Activities and evening DJ were great w/o being over the top. Added to a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. 5 stars!
This is a wonderful destination for a relaxing Cayman getaway. We enjoyed the daily activities, particularly the boxing class that was given by Charles. He's incredible and customized our workout to our skillsets. Even if you have never boxed, give it a try! Also recommend the complimentary snorkeling adventure, dining at the Veranda and delving into a great book by the pool.
Just about to finish up our 5 night stay at The Marriott Resort Grand Cayman - Summer House. Wonderful time at a clean, friendly and perfect location on the island. As some may know, the Marriott lost the vast majority of their beach due to hurricane years back. I am told that the government along with the Marriott are co-funding a beach re-nourishment project sometime in early June that will last into September. This project will bring back a significant amount of beachfront to the Marriott and make this location that much more enjoyable. Most importantly I want to call out our primary server at the pool/beach, Sid. Sid is one of the most customer first employees that my wife and family have ever had the opportunity to experience. We had stayed here at the Marriott a year or so ago and when we arrived at the pool area on our first day, Sid spotted us and came right over to say hello and welcome us back. He then continued to take amazing care of us throughout our stay, anticipating our needs without us even having to ask. I suppose the biggest compliment I could give Sid is that he is simply a genuine human being and someone I would enjoy hanging out with and calling him a friend of the family. Sid clearly sets the bar high for others to aspire to be like! Hope you Enjoy the Marriott !
Ella was amazing and helped me surprise my husband on our anniversary with an upgraded room. She was awesome! Thank you for making our stay so awesome!
This was not a great experience for me! It’s a money pit for tourist. The hotel is not secure! Anyone can walk in and go to the floors and gym. There is no key entrance/exit for the elevator. They do not take Discover and it’s not posted on their website. It’s very hard to get a taxi so get your taxi drivers card from the airport transportation. The guys are the front desk are amazing and accommodating, the women not so much. This place is for couples only. There is nothing to do outside of relaxing and water stuff at the hotel. I came home a day early for this reason. The concierge did not want to be there. She gave no suggestions on things to do.
Although my stay at Grand Cayman Marriott Resort took place during the first week of August 2025, I was unfortunately unable to successfully post my review on TripAdvisor at that time. I am sincerely hoping this review is finally captured because the exceptional service I experienced absolutely deserves recognition. Please accept my apologies for the delayed review, but I could not allow such outstanding hospitality to go unacknowledged. From the moment I arrived until my departure, the staff consistently demonstrated warmth, professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care that made my stay truly memorable. A heartfelt thank you to Belle, Nancy, and Kayan for their exceptional service during my dining experiences. Their kindness, attentiveness, and joyful spirit made every meal special. Special appreciation also goes to Nina, the hostess, whose welcoming presence and thoughtful hospitality stood out throughout my stay. What touched me most was the beautiful surprise the hostess and servers arranged in anticipation of my birthday, which was to take place the following week. They presented me with a slice of cake and sang a birthday song for me — an incredibly thoughtful gesture that made me feel genuinely celebrated and appreciated while away from home. It is a memory I will never forget. I also want to recognize Kenneth, Jayden, Amanda, and Stephanie at the front desk for their professionalism, efficiency, and gracious assistance throughout my stay. Runako, the Food and Beverage Manager, clearly leads with excellence, as the spirit of hospitality and teamwork was evident across the dining staff and overall guest experience. Finally, special thanks to Nealy for outstanding assistance with baggage services and courtesy transportation. His friendliness and professionalism added greatly to the comfort of my visit. This was not simply a hotel stay; it was a true expression of hospitality at its finest. I highly recommend the Grand Cayman Marriott to anyone visiting the Cayman Islands and look forward to returning in the future.
Everything was amazing from start to finish. The resort was beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. The amenities, location, and overall experience exceeded expectations, truly nothing not to love. This was my second time staying here.
Honestly, nothing. Everything was great and we had a wonderful experience
One of our favourite trips as a family. Went for a babymoon - couldn't have asked for a better backdrop. Alia at the front desk genuinely made us feel welcome from the second we walked in. And she was super helpful - warm, attentive, remembered us by name. Jordan at concierge was a gem and super nice guy. Really good pool service by Jerome. And a special shoutout to housekeeping for room 546 - kept the room spotless without us having to ask for anything. We left relaxed, recharged, and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!
We are on 3rd floor courtyard. - the a/c unit sounds like a tornado alarm. Just called front desk - “I’ll see what I can do.” This has been going on for 5 hours. Tv didn’t work either. $600 a night - wtf? Shockingly poor customer service. Pool/beach is nice.
Equipe muito atenciosa. Hotel limpo. Quarto limpo, amplo e bem decorado, cama, travesseiros, muito bons. Boa opção de Restaurantes. Café da manhã fantástico. Sempre com um DJ ao final da tarde para animar o ambiente. Acesso a praia seven mille beach.
Pontos a melhorar: Armário pequeno no quarto. Jardins e Área de Lazer necessitam de revitalização.
Excellent family experience at this Marriott resort. The children’s programming was a highlight of our trip. Staff members Junita and Minu were exceptionally friendly and provided creative, engaging activities that kept our 6-year-old daughter excited throughout the stay. She was so impressed that she checked the schedule daily to ensure she was there for every event. Highly recommended for families.
From the moment I arrived at the Grand Cayman Marriott, I felt the warmth of the staff at the hotel. I am the owner of a Travel Agency and have done extensive worldwide travel. I must say that this was one of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Jaydon Robinson at the Front desk was excellent and on point with his attention to detail. Also, Jameel at the front door, Santoh at the bar and Aina at the Front Desk, They were all welcoming and made my stay at the property special. I highly recommend recommend tha Grand Cayman Marriott for Business or pleasure.
Jaydon at the front desk was a rock star! He was helpful and friendly! Our experience was great.
Marriott Grand Cayman exceeded my expectations! All of the staff were extremely kind and I would like to specifically send a shout out to Sylvia at the front desk and Nancy who served us breakfast every morning. They have that special touch that makes you feel very special. My second area of praise is for the kid’s club. Juanita, Minu and Dina were simply amazing! After one interaction with my children they immediately remembered their names. There were SO MANY activities for the kids. We were there over Easter break so they had Easter egg painting, Easter egg hunt, and many arts and craft activities such as making slime, necklaces and bookmarks. They also had daily sweets such as cotton candy, smores, and an ice cream bar to name a few. Adults were not left out of complimentary activities. There are exercise classes such as yoga, sip and paint, cooking class and rum tasting. Make sure to review the list at check in and sign up right away to secure your spot. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a beach. It’s not huge but there were two rows only beach chairs. They have a man made reef which made for wondering snorkeling. We saw an octopus, crabs, baby stingrays, crabs and many colorful fish. The water hammocks and floaties were a great place to relax in the warm water. The pool was sufficient but as others mentioned, not huge. Even though it was busy when we went we were always able to get at least two chairs for our family of four. We would definitely return to this hotel!
I would like to write a review on the terrace restaurant at the Marriott
I want to say that everyone at the Marriott Grand Cayman are so very Kind! Never have I stayed somewhere and been treated so well💕
Jerome at the Cayman Marriott made every one of our beach days absolutely perfect. He was always ready to set up our lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas the moment we arrived, and he did it with genuine enthusiasm. What really stood out, though, was his friendly and communicative personality — he made us feel welcomed and taken care of every single day. Jerome is a fantastic reflection of the Marriott brand and truly exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond for guests.
Caymans is a beautiful place. The people are friendly. We stayed at the Marriott this trip. Very nice hotel - like most hotels on the island it’s expensive but the food was very good- hotel clean - staff friendly. A special mention to Greson at the front entrance. He made our stay even better with his hospitality and always greeting everyone with a big smile and enthusiasm and truly seems to love his job!
We had a wonderful stay as a family at the Marriott! The hotel, while crowded during the Easter break, has a beautiful lobby with live music, large breakfast spread, comfy beds, and amenities throughout the hotel. The staff is what made our experience so memorable. Our kids looked forward to the multiple activities hosted by the kids club crew - Dina, Juanita and Minu - who were warm and welcoming. Jerome went above and beyond at the pool, and Siva, Raj and Navin were very accommodating at the restaurants. We left feeling relaxed and well-taken care of and can’t wait to return!
I had an outstanding experience with Jerome and Trey managing the beach chairs at the Marriott. Both were consistently friendly, attentive, and clearly took great pride in their work. Every interaction was professional and welcoming, and they were always quick to help with anything we needed—often anticipating requests before we even asked.
Stayed at the Marriott the week from 3/28 to 4/2. We absolutely LOVED our time there. The resort is beautiful, rooms are big and clean. The entire hotel is lively (out at the pool, in the lobby, etc). We ate at both Anchor & Den and Veranda and had lunch and drinks at Bar Vista-- food was fantastic each time. Highly recommend the Sunday night fish dinner at Veranda -- also the staff at Anchor & Den made custom ramen dish for my somewhat picky 10 year old :). My kids (13 and 10) loved the events / snacks each day at the pool, the snorkel gear and the floating pads out in the water. The beach is small but we loved it that we could go back and froth from the pool to the beach. The resort was busy but we never had an issue finding chairs for our family of 4 each day. Everyone we met was fantastic but special shoutouts to: the kids club crew, Sid, Nabin and Conrad. We cannot wait to return and will absolutey stay at the Marriott again!
The hotel setup was great and perfect for comfort, especially for the kids. We felt safe at all times and service went above and beyond. Everyone was very attentive, patient, from staff at the pool to the front desk to the restaurants. Brunch at Anchor and Den had an extensive range of choices and was especially perfect for a super health conscious family with some dietary restrictions and allergies. The thing that made the trip though was the kids club staff—Dina, Junita, and Minu—all of whom were the main reason my kids had the best time. They worked very hard to organize terrific activities and decorations at a very professional level. The week culminated in gorgeous Easter filled activities which was icing on the cake.
Our family of five stayed at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort during the week of Thanksgiving 2025 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 12,10,8). Admittedly, we were a little nervous after understanding that the beach was nearly nonexistent, and some mixed reviews, but we took our chances. The resort exceeded our expectations in every way. We had some issues after requesting adjoining rooms, but that was quickly resolved, and things were seamless from that point on. POOL: The pool area isn’t huge, but at this time of year we never had trouble finding space together and the attendants were always quick to set up chairs, towels, and move umbrellas. When the ocean was calm you can easily walk or swim out to floating platforms, and there was some sand at low tide for the kids to play. ROOMS: The rooms were spacious and comfortable and super clean. There are filtered water stations on each floor where we refilled our water bottles every day. FOOD: We were pleasantly surprised by the food, which our kids LOVED. The breakfast buffet was large and so good, and we loved that there were different dinner options every night. There is a coffee bar with pastries for on the go. Food and drinks ordered at the pool were great and came really fast. The hotel also had a special Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant next to the pool that was SO good and the kids loved. SERVICE: What truly makes the stay special is the service. Every staff member went out of their way for us, with special shout-outs to Siva at Anchor and Den (our waiter for several nights who was super patient and kind to our kids), Emira (Summer House, she ran the poolside kids’ activities and was the absolute best and creative), Jerome, and Murine. *One last note - our son suffered a leg injury on our first day that had him in crutches for our entire vacation. The staff at the Marriott went out of their way to help him and make sure he was comfortable and able to have fun despite the injury. We were truly thankful to them.
The Grand Cayman Marriott far exceeded my expectations for our week long family vacation with 2 toddlers! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of beach that had returned to the area and took full advantage. We had intended to do several day trips around the island, but instead chose to stay back at the resort because of the convenience and comfort it provided. Highlights include: dreamy sunsets from the beach, paddleboard and pool deck yoga, and the children’s activities put on by Minu and Junita. These women were fabulous, always remembering names and creating special moments. We look forward to returning one day!
Beautiful resort..lovely location...the staff is very friendly. Jerome was extremely helpful and informative. He made our vacation very pleasurable.
The best location, outstanding customer service and great restaurants on property! Special thanks to Aina at the front desk! Aina made sure all our needs were taken care of. Also a special thanks to Sid at the beach gave us the best service on the beach! Definitely recommend this property! 🌴
What a great property! We absolutely loved everything about it. The pool sits right on the water so the ocean views and sunset are amazing! Great artificial reef to snorkel and tons of water activities. The staff is wonderful and a special shout out to Jerome at the pool and Milan for the morning coffee and snacks. We will definitely return
I cannot say better things about our stay. I read before we booked that the staff was incredibly friendly, but frankly my experience far surpassed my expectations from day one. Minu & Junita (who run 2-3 small children’s events on site daily that range from bracelet making to cotton candy being made by the pool— they’re all laid out with times and locations in a brochure which is super helpful) seemingly learned every child’s name at first meet and flipped my opinion from “family friendly” to “family welcome”. Our son loved his bracelet so much that it broke on our last day and the ladies made a point to borrow it, fix it, and return it as if it was no hassle at all— which turned a potential meltdown into a proud souvenir he has been showing all of his friends. The pool was functional (more usable than just being a photo op), clean, and felt included in the environment of the hotel so it felt like everyone could find their place (if you didn’t want to be near kids vs if you were trying to keep tiny humans alive— there was a place for everyone). We weren’t expecting any beach at all, but there was some very usable sand/beach space during our stay. All of the water sports are usable, clean, and accessible without hassle. The life vests are also readily available and easy to check out. The sunscreen, aloe, and towels were tended to frequently. There was a full treasure chest full of beach toys that were left by previous visitors so unless you’re looking for brand new / perfect toys most kids can find something fun to play with if you didn’t have room to pack toys. We ALL had a great vacation and I couldn’t recommend it more.
What a warm & friendly place to stay . The size of the resort is perfect . The staff goes above & beyond to make it your most memorable stay . Conrad took care of us by the pool & beach side & let me tell you he is a huge asset to your facility .
This is a lovely hotel; expensive but then many hotels in Cayman seem to be. The rooms are a good size, the beds very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant but the food the hotel provided for the conference I attended was excellent. The hotel is well located too: on 7 mile beach and only a few minutes from the airport.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. A special thank you to the reception team most especially to AINA for her outstanding hospitality. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Their warm welcome and willingness to assist with anything we needed made a big difference and truly enhanced our overall experience. The property is beautiful, and the beach (YES there is a BEACH!) is absolutely stunning with soft sand and clear water—perfect for relaxing, swimming, or simply enjoying the view. The pool area is equally impressive, daily free entertainment and snacks. It is very clean and well maintained, with plenty of comfortable seating and a great atmosphere throughout the day. BIG SHOUT TO JEROME - Fantastic Service every day! What really made the experience special was how relaxing everything felt. The beach and pool areas were spacious and never felt overcrowded, making it easy to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the overall environment was welcoming and well organized. We had a wonderful dining experience. The service was excellent—attentive, friendly, and very professional. Every morning breakfast was Welcome by MILD , she was very helpful to make sure our whole family is taken cared of. BELLE at Anchor and Den , Kristine and Sharlene in Veranda made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were always available without being intrusive. It truly enhanced our overall dining experience. Great food and exceptional service. This was a wonderful place for our family getaway, we are family of 9 with 2 todlers and 1 infant and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. We would definitely return and highly recommend this Marriott property to anyone looking for a beautiful Cayman experience and a great family vacation experience.
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort. The staff were incredible—some of the nicest and most polite people we’ve ever met. We stayed with our 1-year-old daughter, and the team was extremely accommodating with anything we needed, which made traveling with a young child much easier. The beach has also returned, so you don’t need to leave the resort to enjoy the sand and ocean. There are plenty of great restaurants and shops just outside the hotel within easy walking distance, which was another big plus. We highly recommend staying here and would absolutely return
We had a great stay, our housekeeper Elvis always greeted us with a smile and provided exceptional customer service. Very memorable.
Where do we start??! The service at this resort is top notch - and I’m fussy- lol! The staff is experienced and made us feel special all week long. Next the food! Every time we left the resort to eat elsewhere we’d decide that Anchor & Den or Veranda was better. We ended up eating in house more than any other trip we’ve taken. Take advantage of happy hour! We also participated in the cooking and mixology classes - so fun and we learned a ton! Do not hesitate to stay at this beautiful, accommodating resort. Grand Cayman AND the Marriot both exceeded our expectations!
We stayed at the Marriott Grand Cayman from 2/27-3/6. We came to celebrated my 50th birthday. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. The views from our room were to die for. We had Kathleen as our housekeeper and we couldn’t have asked for a better one. She was attentive and helpful we any need we had. We will be coming back.
This hotel is not a 4 1/2 star I would give it just a four breakfast for three buffet $151 drinks way overpriced
The pool staff is nothing short of excellent. Jerome, AZ(lash) Trey, Vicent, O’Brien and Maurine (OurQUEEN) They have become like my brothers and sisters. The service and friendship over many years coming here twice a year is like no other place on earth. And I mean that. I’m a lifetime to titanium Marriott member. I’ve seen plenty of properties. I just hope Marriott appreciates their special people and retains them. They know exactly what you want but more important is the sincerity and kindness they provide. You won’t find this anywhere but here, with this specific team! Only bad thing to report is pins colda now made on blender. Tastes like another place. Before they were homemade and it separated the bar from others. Now it’s just a very average drink. I stopped ordering. Also jet ski noise is ridiculous. It’s like a chainsaw out front in busy days. But that’s not fault of pool staff. I suggest Marriott should move red sail down the beach! It makes too much waves for snorkeling and swimming. But I truly love it here!
Everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. Delci, the 5th floor service staff person was AMAZING. Incredibly helpful, cheerful, and accommodating for any special requests. She deserves special recognition Note that, since the hurricanes, the hotel can have limited or no beach frontage. Which has impacted Marriott’s investment in the physical facility and grounds. That said, it was competitively priced and the food and service was terrific.
We had a wonderful stay here. The room was great, with excellent service and friendly staff members. We especially appreciated the kindness and accommodation we received from housekeeping staff member Delsi. Free parking on-site was convenient, as was the Red Sail Sports office and free rental of snorkeling equipment. Definitely recommend trying the pina colada at the pool bar as well!
The afternoon tea experience was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Everything was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere felt calm and inviting, and the staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout. Nancy and Belle our gems!!! It was such a lovely way to spend the afternoon, highly recommended!
Avoid!!! No beach. We literally booked a beach vacation to the Grand Cayman Islands and were told that it sat on a nice beach. Unfortunately when we arrived today, there was no beach! It is extremely noisy and the beach front room has a 3 ft balcony. The outdoor furniture at the restaurant is shabby and looks to be falling apart, while the food itself is mediocre. I do not recommend this hotel.
Incredible stay the staff is amazing and so kind. Elvis was fantastic and so kind to us, really made our stay so much better. He went above and beyond, we appreciated it.
Here less than 24 hours, but so far the hotel is lovely. Sharing all the little info I was looking for to help anyone currently planning. The staff has been friendly and kind. Special thanks to Trey for locating my daughter’s lost sneakers! Dorene, our breakfast server was attentive and kind. We are Marriott Platinum and, on asking, we were upgraded from a courtyard view (2 queen balcony) to a partial ocean view . You can’t see a lot of ocean, but it’s nice to be on the 5th floor with a little ocean and the gesture was appreciated. The room was ready shortly before 4:00 and the front desk called to inform us it was ready. At the time of this writing, Platinum Elite and higher status receive 2 continental breakfast certificates per day (OR miles/other F&B amenity). This may be used for the cold continental breakfast. Or as $15 (Cayman) towards buffet or à la carte. Hot buffet is $35KY (so $20 KY with certificate). The continental is quite nice and a bit upscale with chia pudding, musli, fruit, and an assortment of breads, pastries, cheeses and deli meats. The pool has limited seating, but the kind staff will work with you to find or set up a chair or umbrella if space permits and all are taken. There is complimentary SPF 30 and 50 as well as aloe at the pool. There is also infused and regular water poolside. There are a wide variety of resort activities included in the resort fee. We had no problem walking up and securing 3 SUP boards. However, I recommend requesting a list of activities a week in advance of your trip and contacting the hotel to sign up in advance (if possible) as all morning yoga and other similar activities were already full for the week on our arrival. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. They are artificial down and nice and squishy. Lobby and rooms are fairly updated, hallways are a little tired. Crowded pool deck and lack of beach front are a bummer but the ocean is nice and reef just off shore provide snorkeling. Consider beach excursions to the public beach for beach time. Overall very nice. Food overall (including pool food) exceeds expectations. And staff are very accommodating and will help with off menu food ordering or other special needs.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the food was great! The pool area is very nice too even though we didn’t have a chance to use the pool! Everyone who works here are very friendly and can’t do enough for you as a guest! It was always a pleasure to come back to our hotel room because Osiris had it immaculate and filled with all the towels we needed! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you Marriott!!!
Decent experience for the money. Beautiful lobby, friendly front desk staff, very good spa services/ availability and fair pricing. The recently renovated rooms were adequate- appreciated in room coffee, plenty of plugs and comfy bed. Housekeeping friendly and ready to assist. Could improve with better storage for your clothes, extra hooks in bathroom, 2 bathrobes (Instead of 1) and slippers. Gym- small but had essentials- lacking good WiFi and no view/windows. Could use updating. Pool area- much was written about the pool deck and lack of beach. It’s true there is no beach area to sit on but it is accessible down a short set of stairs. If you choose a lounge chair on the edge of the pool deck it is the best of both worlds- great ocean breeze but no sand to deal with!!! There were always plenty of chairs/umbrellas available- some were located on the turf area. Plenty of poolside service for lunch and cocktails.
This hotel has gone downhill. There is no beach, but the real problem is management's lack of respect for longtime Marriott members. We usually stay using points earned from stays and almost exclusive use of our Marriott Bonvoy card. I am a lifetime Titanium level customer. I have asked to use "Suite Night" upgrade rewards nearly every year and it never happens. Just returned from a 5-night stay and there were several oceanfront rooms that were not occupied. We will not return. Sad, really, because the vast majority of the staff (Pool, towels, restaurants, spa and housekeeping) are all excellent. The GM could learn a lesson from them. We have visited nearly every year for over a decade, but the lack of upgrades have ended this habit. Oh, and two of the tiles in our bathroom had the room number written on them. ;o) While on the toilet you could read the room number on the tiles next to the floor facing you. I "kid" you not! ;o)
To save you time, maybe money (since here they add 18% gratuity) & less missed opportunities, hopefully long review w/ pertinent details helpful since we were there over 8 days & experienced a LOT! (Mentioned several extras since some business not on Tripadvisor & copy/pasted half my review from Google too). An overall rating for this location is bit tough & probably between 3.5-4 star since some services, etc were amazing & others were poor. Imo, this resort is cost-heavy for the value & gratuity rate higher than necessary. Ambience/Remodel: Beautiful, soothing, warm & comfortable decor. Front Desk Staff: Initial welcome good after long check in wait. Always polite, friendly & happy to give recommendations. Shuttle: to/from airport good, didnt use for beaches since rented car (highly recommend). Door clerks: Great, welcoming, friendly & often had smiles. Live music in lobby always had a pleasant sound! For trip planning, if little/no info on website (or for nearby spots), glad called ahead for Concierge. They have no specific service for this & it rings to front desk, which gets busy. This could use improvement as before & during trip, if they didn't know, they'd have to check w/ others & get back to me (usually promptly). Aina was terrific, knowledgeable & readily gave customized answers w/ suggestions (wanted to have as many conch fritters on vaca as possible & we did actually go to both she recommended- Heritage Kitchen - mini fritters good, fried snapper overcooked & Rackam's were great). Housekeeping: Delci was our primary room attendant & FABULOUS! Always polite, friendly, accommodating if needed more or a specific request, courteous of our time & acknowledged well wishes towardsa no-worries/enjoyable vacation. Our room was kept tidy, clean & well stocked. I appreciated her making us & our time feel valued. Cooking class: PHENOMENAL! Chef from Peru taught our group how to make Peruvian snapper ceviche. Was such a perfect blend of history, education & delicious ingredients that it was a big highlight here! We didn't know to reserve in advance but they accommodated us. Highly recommend. Wish they offered more than 1 class/wk. Mixology class: Also great. She was a patient & knowledgeable bartender that provided a fun & educational experience too. I assumed it would be featuring a rum drink but it was 2 others. My husband esp enjoyed since he's a G & T fan! Spa: had an awesome deep massage by Rene on my bday. She was fabulous! They provided tea before & after in what I called the serenity room which was quiet & peaceful. Large variety of nice but pricey products available in their shop. Giftshop also with wide variety of nice but pricey items. Do believe heard somewhere IF Marriott member can get shop discounts but pls verify this. Fitness Center: entered once & had a strong mildew odor. Could not have used. Beach: essentially a small strip during low tide due to erosion. Can only walk short distance before coming to concrete structures in front of Hampton & we never could go beyond edge of property to the longer beach in front of Regal Beach Club & others. Accessing water no problem since there's stairs & nearby public walk-in access just next to them but if strolling/combing the beach routinely is a huge priority, no-very minimal sand/beach would be a big consideration. I did not book our trip here, so this was a disappointment to me. Unfortunately, no chairs are available to use during low tide & loungers def aren't taken down the stairs. Loungers: 100% agree w/ other reviews- some are hard, uncomfortable plastic & need upgrading. There isn't much space for unobstructed, ocean-facing loungers & they're quickly reserved. Since only 2 of us, we were able to get them together several times. Hot tub: very nice & hot, not really tolerable for most kids. Once, went to get in & cool so since was rainy & windy, unable really use that day. Notified front desk & issue was fixed & able use next day. Water fun: Free use of kayaks, paddle boards & trampolines: Nice to have available & did chill on trampoline once. These weren't always usable due to wind & rough waters. GoPros: glad they offered use of them (but with windy rainy weather first several days, snorkeling was limited). Used twice & first time barely used <10' & battery died. Bummer hadn't been charged enough after last use (which they have adaptors for that & aren't provided to guests. Expected to be turned in by 600pm). Its first come first served so when get it early be sure to check it's been charged enough. Second time there was a long troubleshooting issue with the card not downloading to either of our iphones or Macbook. Really thankful they allowed us to keep the sim card since we'd gotten lots of footage while snorkeling with turtles! Room Service: (Vacationed here celebrating my 50th) & on actual bday brought a gorgeous yummy chocolate ganache cake slice personalized on the plate, wine & champagne. Lady that delivered it very friendly (forgot her name). Throughout entire stay, if saw me in hallways while delivering, she was friendly & always greeted me by name. Very thoughtful & adds a personal touch. Rooms: Decor simple & fine. Couch hard & 1 chair on balcony w/ rough pieces of broken wicker- just covered w/a towel- no biggie. Requested quiet room away from elevators & ice machine- light sleepers. They accommodated but placed us on the Hampton by Hilton side above their pool (small partial ocean view but unsure if it's considered one when booking?) Loud singing & music late into night & several mornings @ 0645 was a buzzing/drilling high-pitched type sound that often awakened me. Found out was the leaf blower. Twice was loud furniture moving sounds in night- learned was couches being moved which really EHCO. Did mention both loud noise issues to front desk but no idea if they used feedback. Think they should place notice in room not to move furniture on tile during quiet hours. Don't recommend this as a "quiet" side with it's proximity to adjacent hotel. Doors do slam shut loudly as noted in other reviews. Felt terrible didnt know initially but tried very hard to close quietly thereafter. Again, a room notice/placard should be placed so guests are aware. Nearby activities: This location is great other than no beach. Renting a car was worth it. Such fun exploring many other areas. National art gallery close by & was OK. Got couple nice items from gift shop. Cemetery & Spotts beach are terrific! Met very nice & helpful locals & enjoyed snorkeling w/ green sea turtles! Even saw a rare Cayman Agouti rabbit dash between bushes. Stingray city MAGICAL & coral gardens snorkeling really good- just short boat ride away. LOVED & really fun but packed compared to our first time. Booked through Viator & our vessel was Big Dee tours & charter. (Guides were fine & nice enough. Huge group with many kids packed in there. Be aware, they don't provide pictures/videos @ all like our trip before which sent to email, IF thats something want included). Cayman Spirits Distillery was such interesting fun (see separate review). So glad we went on the tour. 7 Fathom's Rum is delicious & amazing! Blow Holes (street parking & short walk to first big one. Wear shoes not sandals- uneven sharp rocks) & Wreck of 10 Sails on e side are absolutely worth visiting. Free parking & free self-guided if prefer. Wreck office was closed that day. Good historical placards. Safety: Very safe hotel & surrounding area. Even with heavy traffic, when pressed button @ crosswalk, cars stop almost immediately. Drivers seem courteous & safe. Everywhere we went on island, even residential areas away from tourisy spots were chill, safe, had good signage including roads & were generally not noisy- overall peaceful place (with George Town cruise ship day visitors the exception). Not even one iffy moment. Can see why families love bringing their Littles here. Walkability: Many restaurants & bars nearby w/ most charging 15% gratuity. Gas station nearby & closest across street had strange experience. While there looking in cooler for beer & hadn't even been there 5', lady abruptly approached & said rudely "closed," not closing. Asked if ok to get it now. She said "no, come back tomorrow." We did not. Food & drinks: Anchor & Den: Bar service generally slow but drinks good. First drink was a spin off from Bahama Mama & think they called it Cayman Mama- really good! Only had one visit for meal, very slow service & hardly any customers that time of eve. Had to ask someone to let Server know ready to order. Lobster pizza was amazing & when so hungry by time arrived, pleased it was large. Whitelime coffee: had 2 different types quiche (sitting out on counter uncovered & unrefrigerated- noticed this every time they were open) which made me nervous but ended up fine & tasty. Got it on 2 separate visits. First time took while to heat since no microwave so ate cold on second time. They really should get a mic. Vista Bar: 1 of 2 bartenders friendly & rum drink with cinnamon was great. **Veranda: Seafood or Fish night got cancelled due to weather but realize its all outdoors. Beautiful ambience with lovely strings lights. Excellent 5 star Lobster night. BEST lobster mac & cheese EVER had. Service bit strange. Husband ordered bottle of red wine & when Server delivered it was corked but had been opened to give someone a sample & he asked if that was ok? Awkward to have to say wanted full bottle ordered. Fairly tacky for a fine dining experience. He took it back to check if had another. He spoke to Manager & they did not but offered it discounted. Strange not to have enough inventory for an event night & for what they said was very popular product. Suggested they consider @ least 1 other comparable type on menu. Tasted lovely & was overall nice experience. Short walking distance nearby Food: Across street, bar directly next to Peppers just OK (name? Bartender gal didn't seem to be in the serving mood- didn't check on us much). Peppers: fun spot celebrating my 50th with them, very friendly servers @ & around bar. Long waits on Sat eve, get there early. Live music & dancing for chill island vibe. Food was great- foil roasted Mahi delicious! Bonfire: Very short walk, fresh & delicious food with many unique sauces like fresh mango sauce. Wish we'd tried that spot sooner, would've gone back several times. Burger Shack across street was one of only places open late when arrived & hungry- came recommended by front desk & was terrific. Second visit there was confusion to combo meals/pricing but quality still good. Fun fact, NO gratuity automatically attached since it's Take-out (even tho does have outdoor tables/umbrellas). Thai Orchid (not walking distance) Don't recommend, especially for price. Did not remove an allergen from food, took it back & fixed but to reheat they overcooked seafood. Not pleasant to wait while other persons food there & hot. They didn't comp meal in any way. Spanglish (not walking distance): First visit, margarita weak, service ok. Second visit on Taco Tu (beef only) busy but service better. Spicy Margaritas fabulous (different bartender)! If hungry, portions are small for the price but flavors good. Rackams (George Town, on waterfront next to our FAVE Grand Tiki) had delicious Rum Runner drink, conch fritters & fries (poor service but Management made it right- see review). Noteworthy details: Esp if staying for first time, you'll be glad you looked over their website & pamphlet they give when check in. Found many offerings, services, etc to be useful & glad took time to read it. They offer nice extras @ pool area like: Foosball table, sunscreen, aloe, infused water & DIY events like S'mores & salt scrub/soak making. Definitely a family-friendly resort. Recommend to read reviews on places in advance, esp Tripadvisor (Google reviews must be much shorter & I've found out impt details are often skipped but not here). Didn't make it to many of the shopping areas nearby Marriott which I wish we had. Spent more of our time beaching it! George Town: took public transit (not exactly fast but from here only $10 US dollars to Rackams restaurant) on last day after rental car returned. Many shops & fine jewelry places there. Please avoid Rocky's Diamonds or Cayman Jewels next door- poor experience. Notified owner & no attempt whatsoever to "make it right," as indicated. Sidenote: Had called Kay's Jewely to ask question on specific piece on website, & although more expensive, they kindly offered to shuttle us to them from hotel but didn't utilize since didn't want obligation to buy. IF going into George Town anyways, keep this unadvertised generous offer in mind & ask them. Because of 2 very slow experiences there, in interest of time, unable go to both jewelry stores as intended. (Unfortunately, first hopped into Rocky's & Cayman Jewels since was close to Rackams restaurant. Big mistake!). 2 FAVE SPOTS: Grand Tiki downtown & close (separate review) was so uniquely island chill vibe with terrific service, drinks & ambience. Pirate's Cove Bar on e side, on the beach, much like Grand Tiki & Bartender didn't really speak but made an excellent mudslide! Only regret was didn't see an ad for this (just passing by & stopped on way back from Wreck of 10 Sails... BUT not near enough time to sip & chill on the beach before having return rental car. 100% worth 40' drive (maybe longer if any public transit to there?). In the end, would consider staying again in a different room area, now that I know lot more about it, despite few quirky things. Hope these highlights help you enjoy more of every minute in paradise! :)
This hotel gets a lot of flack about not having a pristine beach (although they are getting more and more beachfront back), but the service and extra features they have more than make up for that. Upon checking in, the front desk agent noticed that I had two separate reservations for my stay and she immediately linked them together and assured me that I would't have to switch rooms. It was nice to not even have to ask for that hospitality. Throughout our week long stay, we were taken care of at the pool by Sheryl and Sid. They were wonderful! Sid was such a hard worker that he seemed to appear out of no where whenever he sensed we needed something. From food and drinks to an extra napkin, nothing we asked for was out of reach and he truly made it feel like a relaxing vacation. The other great thing about our stay were all of the extra activities that occurred daily around the resort grounds. In our week, we made friendship bracelets, keychains, lip scrubs, etc at the pool. We also had s'mores and snow cones as snacks. These activities were nice breaks from swimming and lounging and the trinkets were fun souvenirs to take home! Having been to the island several other times and stayed at other resorts, I will say that the Marriott is top on my list. The people made us feel like we were wanted and welcomed there and that feeling stands out about everything else!
We stayed for 1 night and had the best time!! Highlights of great service, Jaydoun at the front desk and Sheryl at the Vista beach bar. They were so kind and personable and that means a lot! We’re already planning our next visit!!!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience staying here. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. I would like to give our housekeeper Carvin a lot of praise and attention for going above and beyond in the cleaning and organizing of our room for the duration of our stay. Thanks again!
I loved that the resort isn't huge. Very manageable. Almost everything is located on the lobby level, except concierge desk, found on 3rd floor. It would be great if there was better signage saying it's on the 3rd fl. Every employee that I encountered was wonderful. Shout out to Illy, from Morocco, working at Veranda restaurant which is located outside. Excellent, professional service. The room is a good size and has a small balcony to enjoy. For those who don't rent a car, there are taxis in the parking lot. There are stairs that go right to the sea and a decent size pool. If you don't feel like eating out, there are several restaurant options. I was very happy with my stay and would definitely return. My first time in Grand Cayman Jan 19th. It was raining when I arrived and it's been very windy and cloudy. I think February might be a better time. Also. It was crowded yet. I never needed reservations.
We had an excellent time here, great customer service through out!!. Great location as it is close to Camana Bay (10 minute walk) and many great local restaurants. Never a boring moment on or off the resort, they have live music, activities and there are A LOT of beach chairs, never had to look for one. The best feature was that we loved being able to walk directly into the ocean from the veranda. This was such a plus. Special shout out to Bruno and Leavy who made our stay extra special by being so wonderful. We will definitely come back!
Our first trip to Grand Cayman and it was awesome! The staff was wonderful... kudos to Sid who went above and beyond at the pool/Verandah! The location was central allowing us to get to the local sites and entertainment very easily. We can't wait to go back!
The employees at this resort were awesome. Everyone was friendly and genuinely interested in making your stay an enjoyable one. We booked a package that included breakfast every day, which was very good. We had lunch at the Anchor & Den and poolside, both very good as well. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The gym was adequate. Not a very big pool area. This was not a problem as we were there at the end of low season. It would be an issue when the hotel is fully booked. There is no beach, which we were fine with. The resort offers a free shuttle to either Seven Mile Beach or Governor's Beach which we did take advantage of. We did enjoy the floats in water. I did some snorkeling in the swim area of the hotel and saw some interesting fish. Enjoyed evening nightcaps chatting with the bartenders. Well maintained grounds. There were a couple hiccups and the staff went above and beyond to correct them. A nice place to stay.
The hotel is very nice, food is delicious, and staff is very friendly. However the is NO beach. They bus you to a public beach. Bus runs every hour. We ended up checking out and going to another resort on Seven Mile beach that has a beautiful beach and plenty of chairs. If you are not interested in a beach then this will be fine. Otherwise there are plenty of hotels and resorts that actually have a very nice beach.
Write your review My Mum and I stayed at the Marriot for four nights and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The New Years Eve evening was magical, with the waves lapping at the deck and champagne, dancing and delicious food. Belle was our waitress and was extremely attentive and lovely. Another special mention is due to Soufiane in the Verandha Restaurant as he was very impressive and excellent. The service throughout the hotel was the best we have ever experienced and really lifted our stay to another level. The room was wonderful and the walls matched the turquoise sea, there was an excellent variety of activities to do such as ceviche cooking class or making a foot soak!!! All in all it was the best stay at any hotel we have ever had in our 40 and 70 years!
My family and I stayed here during our first-ever trip to Grand Cayman. While the first floor area is beautiful, updated and first class, some of the common areas could use a bit of an updating. Our room was spacious, clean and had a balcony with a couple of chairs. It, too, could have used a bit of an update, especially the bathroom, which seemed so ordinary, when compared with the main area and when you consider how much you are paying to stay here. The fisrt floor is always in motion, which puts you in a good mood. There is a beautiful courtyard in back which has a nice water feature and a number of sitting areas. Walking through here leads to the waterfront, where there is a nice pool and multiple stairway accesses to the Carribean Sea. There are aboundant chairs on both the pool deck and auxilliary deck in front of the restaurants located out back. Despite the aboundance of chairs and the helpfulness of the staff to find places for you, you need to get there early to reserve! There are a couple of dining options and drinks aplenty that can be brought to you chair. Be on the lookout for either Adi or Sid. They were both great guys and will take care of you for sure! The water just off the hotel is shallow enough that you can walk out for about 75 yards. The hotel moors some floating rafts that allow for watergoing sunbathing. Snorkel gear is also avaiable, which allows you to explore the man-made reef that attracts quite a few different fishes to thea rea. The on-site dining is outstanding, both inside the hotel and on the deck out back. The lobby bar is fantastic and is helmed by some fun staff, one of whom is an excellent mixologist (peanut butter-washed rum, anyone?). There are numerous places to sit and, if you are like my family, play cards!
Location is perfect, resort is wonderful, but the best part is the staff! In particular Jaydon at the front desk was great from checkin until we left! And then there was Jerome at the pool. He was one of the best staff that I have interacted with at any resort ive been to, regardless in the world where it was. Jerome is the absolute best!!!!
The ladies at the kids club that is part of the 'Summer House' at Marriott Grand Cayman, were incredibly nice. Our four year old had such a good time during our stay and they were definitely a part of that. They always greeted her by her name and made her feel special, I'm sure they do that with all the kids who stay at the hotel, and that makes us parents so happy. We can not recommend this hotel enough, especially because of the kids club. Thank you Minu, Dina and Janita!
Great Staff, great accommodations, wish the pool seating situation was different. Kevin cleaning staff was great. Family friendly and a nice relaxing stay.
The hotel is very nice including the restaurants. The service was excellent. The spa treatments were good, but the spa is very basic. Good water activities. Housekeeping, especially @Carvin was incredibly thorough in cleaning. There is not a beach, so you are all crammed into a turfed deck about 10-12 feet above the water. Many of the other hotels further up the beach have nicer options for chairs right on the beach.
The resort was great! Super friendly staff! The activities for the kids were fun; Minu, Juanita and Dina were exceptional with my children! It was my son’s birthday and they went out of their way to make him feel special. We went to this resort and Indigo on the same trip and prefer the Marriott. Even though the elevator was wonky and lack of actual beach/ none of this affected our trip. The staff is what made the biggest difference. This Marriott has wonderful people! The food was excellent! Overall we really had the most memorable trip!
Considering it is still recovering from a hurricane a few years ago the place was great. They are rebuilding the beach in 2026 and i cant wait to come back and see the updates. The staff throughout the resort were incredible. Very customer centric and accommodating. We were poolside everyday and the staff including Jerome were great. Jerome, especially did everything in his power to make us comfortable. My family and I had a great time.
Great atmosphere and service was great. Junita and Minu were helpful and provided a fun experience at the grand cayman marriot.
I want to say wonderful things about this hotel and the people there. We spent a week on Grand Cayman, and I have to say it was a great time. What makes G. Cayman such a great place is definitely the people. I'd like to give a shout out on behalf of Sid & Emira there. Additionally, overall the food is delicious and the service is superb. It's nice to have such a lovely place in the same time zone with great beaches, snorkeling and scuba diving.
An Amazing and beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were spacious and we had a beautiful view of the sea with its crystal clear water. The breakfast was delightful and plenty of variety. We opted in for the sunday bottomless brunch and it was worth every penny. Food was delicious and dfinks flowed. The staff are undoubtedly well trained, polite and friendly. A special thanks to Aina on front desk who looked after our needs and was friendly , knowledgable and professional throughout. Thank you to lovely and friendly Emiron who serviced our room each day working hard to look immaculate. Also like to say thanks to Mild who looked after us in the breakfast room. Finally Obrien who looked after us by the pool. We will definately be revisiting this hotel.
We came here with our toddler and the experience has been wonderful! Everyone on staff is so friendly and genuinely kind to our small child. The hotel is so clean. The resort offers tons of fun activities and snacks and the staff, Junita, Minu and Dina are so sweet and welcoming to all the guests! The doormen Karl, Gregon and Omar are all so nice and let our baby hang out with them (with us, not like babysitters). There is some kind of live music/entertainment almost every night. The pool is super clean and never too crowded. Trey and Murine are the main staff we interacted with at the pool and they were super helpful in getting us towels and set up with chairs. We would definitely like to come back!
The hotel was lovely but the loss of the beach was a real negative. And, there was a construction crew working to rebuild a bar alongside the pool. That was a real inconvenience. What was outstanding was the service. Everyone who works at the hotel goes above and beyond to provide excellent service to the guests. JEROME at the pool was amazing - always going above and beyond to take care of the guests. And OSIRIS - she leaned our room - was AMAZING!!! Professional. Personal. She always worked with our schedule for the day to ensure the room was cleaned at our convenience. OSIRIS is a real asset to the team at the Marriott.
Shamim &Krishna helped me when i needed first aid after a cycle accident. They were extremely gentle,Kind and caring. No one cared about me when i had the cycle accident.I will definately come back again and tell my friend too.
Location, rooms, shuttle service to beaches and staff friendliness are some of the things that made our stay enjoyable. Restaurants on site offer great food and ambiance. Special thanks to Emira, Illi and Priam. Emira is so kind and attentive, and kept our room spotless and supplied with amenities. Illi made us feel like family and we appreciated the menu recommendations and our friendly conversations. Priam made my birthday dinner so special and took great photos. Can’t wait to see you all again soon.
Friendly, clean fantastic service. Staff could not have done more for us. Only complaint was no beach but you can access it from tons of places with a quick walk. Hotel is in a great location and close to canama bay. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Also lots of events at hotel to attend. Special mentions to Jerome, Sid, Murine at the pool and all the bar staff just great.
Everyone was so nice and went out of their way to make this a very special vacation. The hotel is kept nicely and very clean.
What a great week!!! For a I want/need a relaxing week, it was absolutely perfect. Jerome and Murine were amazing!!! Can’t thank them enough for the attention to our needs by pool/beach. Took care of us the entire week. All staff were friendly and respectful. We enjoyed every bit of it.
Staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Jerome at the pool. The food at Veranda was excellent for both lunch and dinner
