The room was ok but tired with really worn carpets
The lack of staff / breakfast area dirty, breakfast not availlable complaint made - no contact from reception manager poor apprentice left holding the forte no refund made as yet
Good location for what we needed
Breakfast was poor on both days, ran out of food, needed to wait for more of everything, Seemed unorganised and unprepared.
Staff on reception were lovely and I had an iron/ironing board waiting for me as requested. Room was clean and bed was comfy.
No water provided in the bedrooms .. first time I have ever stayed with no water provided and very stingy with tea/coffee provided .. 2 of each and not enough milk. No biscuits, no toiletries just liquid soap. Very little hanging spaces and rooms a bit tired. Breakfast was awful, worst I have ever had. Bacon, sausage and eggs dried out. Had to scrape beans from the bottom of the tray. Very poor cold choices out of everything … only 1 croissant put out at a time so far as pasties. Had to ask for spoons, milk, orange juice, cups and that was at 9am … it felt like we were at the end of service! Only 2 staff so loads of dirty tables.
Decent rooms
Poor phone signal and gym facilities are very small/limited
I love this hotel and the bar and restaurant but it is a little overpriced food wise
I’ve stayed several times before but in 20 odd years the decor hasn’t changed. The beds and furniture are really in need of an upgrade
Great staff
The hotel is looking a bit worn really, especially the wooden floors & carpets
Beds were comfortable and good room layout
Room was very dusty, a lot of mould in the bathroom area. Marks in the bed too. Lifts were a big problem. Staff not attentive at all. Breakfast offering was very poor by the time we got down at 8:15am for £30
A pretty basic hotel in terms of amenities although the design suggests something more.
No gym.... there's a lot of business people staying and this might be a nice feature considering there's nothing to do in surrounding areas.
The hotel its good but the food its terrible i don’t recommend people to pay there for breakfast better don’t waste your time and money.
Very clean and modern.
The mattress was a little hard for us.
Good looking property is a pleasant location. Fairly modern in design, with reasonable sized rooms. Food, when available, was nicely cooked.
The interior is very tired and is in need of redecoration. Carpets are threadbare, chairs / seats showing signs of wear & tear. No storage facilities in the bedroom other than a very small hanging rail which was hidden away. No in-house catering on Sunday evening with no restaurants within walking distance. Lighting in room could be improved. House keeping clearly do the minimum but don’t vacuum in the hard to reach places. No EV chargers other than Tesla
The staff were excellent. Everyone, from reception to housekeeping we're so obliging and did everything to help my stay be a good one. Nothing was too much trouble..Service from reception was quick. House keepers helped me in disability access room, making sure shower and bathroom floor was not slippery and wet..
No sockets next to the bed. Vegetarian menu limited. Toilet seat in room is loose. Not v good in disability access room, could cause an accident.
Overall good
Terrible phone connection in the bedroom. Parts of the hotel are starting to look tired.
Good location with late bar
Bed was very hard and mattress very thin, as a result I didn’t have a good sleep at all
Great location. Very good dinner in restaurant either lovely staff.
Most uncomfortable bed ever! No water in bedroom.
Absolutely beautiful hotel stunning decor and staff was super friendly
Hotel looks nice
Breakfast selection was rubbish. Very small area on top of each other not enough drinks took a while to get sauces
Very polite staff
There wasn’t nothing I didn’t like
Not much it’s very tired
The rooms are in need of refurbishment, carpet badly worn, bathroom as many repairs
Room was spacious
Dirty glass, long wiating time despite very few residents in building.
Great facilities and location
Nothing
Beautiful breakfast comfy clean room spacious bed and so lovely and quiet!
Nothing!
Booked it for family members (2 adults and a kid). The staff went above and beyond to help them as they don't speak English - it was their first time in the UK. So helpful and friendly, couldn't ask for more, really. Breakfast was great, dinner was fab, even compared to the Hungarian cuisine they are used to. The room was huge and was equipped with everything they needed. Quiet as well. It was on the top floor so there was hardly any noise from the road even when the window was open. (Yes, the window could be opened!) Didn't regret booking this hotel, the best I could find nearby just 6 miles from junction 28 where I live. 100%.
Nothing!
Its location and friendly staff
Closet/wardrobe storage for hanging clothes very limited
Location was good did the event we attended
Receptionist was not very friendly although another make member of staff around he didn’t help check a queue of guests in. Female receptionist didn’t make eye contact didn’t smile and seemed robotic.
Modern and clean
The lady on reception was quite rude and difficult at both check in and check out
Modern style
Sofas in reception area need attention, carpets very worn
hotel was clean and modern. beautiful bar and restaurant area. staff in those areas were polite and helpful. bar was open 24hrs which was great for us. food in the restaurant was lovely with a good menu to chose from.
lady on reception was rude consistently to us and other guests. given she is the first person you meet, she gives the business a bad taste. she is enough to make me look elsewhere if I ever needed that location again.
Parking
Rude receptionist, paid for breakfast and staff said we haven’t, I had to check booking details and show staff as it wasn’t down on your system. Room was dark and dusty, definitely not worth the money we paid. £160.00
Friendly staff despite the state of the hotel
Tired furnishings bare facilities
Modern and clean
Nothing
Distinctly average. Where to start? Good location? Yes. Good parking? Yes. Contrary to some feedback I had a great experience with a gentleman on the front desk who was much more positive and useful than prior experiences I've had with a miserable lady. Rooms need more than a refresh. Plugs nowhere near beds. Carpets threadbare. Mattresses are awful I've slept on better floors, they reply here saying it's personal preference but believe me I've stopped here enough, they're all the same. Overdue investment. The food is pricey and not worth the amount on the menu. Had onion rings as an additional side several times and they're always soggy and sweating in oil. Breakfast is fine and does the job. One of the better hotel breakfasts. Tesla supercharger handy nextdoor too. It could be great it just needs some love and the staff need some of that love too.
Booked 2 rooms and was charged twice one from my original booking then again at the reception when I made a dispute to get the money back from the hotel they refused stating I used the room even though I had no other option so 3 of us had to cram in the room with one person having to sleep on the floor terrible service
Modern Hotel, good was really nice and good value, rooms were very spacious
The gym was very dated and could do with a more modern uplift
Bed and shower
Shower was good
Very comfortable rooms, good food and excellent service. Also good to have lots of car chargers.
The hotel looks impressive when you arrive. However, the receptionist (50 something female) like a lot of other reviewers have noted is very cold, to the point she seems just not bothered and rude. Not what you expect as the first point of contact for your customers. The room itself has threadbare carpet, the mattress is tired and the duvet within the cover was so worn and bobbled. The restaurant service was very good though very pricey in comparison to local eateries providing similar service. The breakfast was a bit of let down due to the limited choice and there were no eggs when it came to my turn. Would recommend the management to spend a night at the Premier Inn and then compare themselves.
Food only
Not comfortable dark depressing staff unsociable breakfast poor cold
the parking was good. The signage from the main road was good. Fluffy towels
50% of lifts broken, everything was minimal and designed for business people not for relaxation. Poor coffee machines, no toiletries. Badly designed shower.
We stayed here for a family wedding weekend and it was an absolute nightmare from a management and customer service perspective. THE FINANCIAL DISASTER & GASLIGHTING: Upon check-in, the receptionist was completely unhelpful, didn't explain breakfast, and wrongly told us our room was already paid for. After checking, he took our card for "validation". Mour Hotel then processed a payment for the room AND placed a duplicate £259.99 "pre-authorisation" hold on the card. This is causing massive financial distress right before a weekend trip. When contacted, the Front of House Manager, Laura, completely gaslit us, claiming they had no duplicate charge and that a pre-authorisation doesn't freeze funds. We provided clear screenshot evidence of both transactions, but they simply refused to help. We have since contacted our bank, and the bank have confirmed twice that Mour Hotel are the ones holding these transactions and that they need to release the funds from their end. Even worse, our official booking confirmation explicitly states the hotel only has the right to pre-authorise £0.01 on arrival. They are in direct breach of their own contract terms, have unauthorised locks on hundreds of pounds of our money, and are now ignoring our emails. THE ROOM & HYGIENE: The stay itself was incredibly substandard. The rooms have zero blackout options, only basic slat blinds that let light pour in, ruining our sleep before a wedding. There is only ONE plug socket in the entire room, located at the desk and completely inaccessible from the beds. To top it all off, we found a cockroach in the bathroom off the bar. When reported, management defensively dismissed it as a "harmless common beetle" because they are near woodlands. Utterly revolting and a massive health hazard for a venue serving food and drinks. Furthermore, their breakfast completely fails to accommodate dietary needs. Alternative milks and vegan options are completely hidden, and you are expected to guess they exist and ask staff for them. Appalling facilities, defensive and dismissive management, health violations, and unauthorised financial mishandling. Do not trust them with your money or your holiday.
Hotel is in a handy location just off the motorway, hotel bar and restaurant are decent.
Gym could be a lot better, staff could be happier and more interactive.
Hotel is a bit tied it needs a revamp Chips too chunky hard and dry
Reception lady was excellent and helpful
Location is good for the motorway.
Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Very tired and run down decor, carpets are thread bare, the bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab, healthy breakfast was very limited, also the coffee was disgusting, made to pay extra for latte, cappuccino etc. The UHT milk in the room had separated. Needs TLC for the price per night.
was clean and staff were helpful
bed was rock solid and very uncomfortable. Restaurant had no food during my stay
Location and the food
Breakfast stop serving too early we wasn’t informed what time it was going to stop being served so ended up paying for breakfast and not eating it. The bed was solid. We only had one pillow in our room and all the stuff was super rude.
Unfortunately the service was not as I had received on previous visits, it felt like the staff were stressed, there was a limited menu due to staff shortages, the rooms were very clean but worn, thread bare carpets, sagging mattress, and broken tiles, the lift was not working correctly, some staff were blunt and not very aproachable,
The hotel I understand is being sold, staff are under pressure but there is no reason for staff to be blunt, the service recieved last year on the 6 different times I had stayed was brilliant, what a shame it is nothing like it used to be.
Restaurant was closed during a bank holiday and there's no where close by to get food. Hope everyone who stays there has a car. Also the place is done in a style that didnt stay in vogue very long. Needs an update. The building is sort of a blight around the nature and surrounds. Also they didnt realize my booking had 2 rooms. They eventually figured it out. But it was a painful check in process.
Location and styling
Very uninterested staff. Booked an evening meal in advance (which was confirmed) only to be told there was no food available on arrival. Had to use Uber as nothing in walking distance. Breakfast was very poor and we were entirely ignored by staff as was the only other guest at the time.
Rude receptionist!! We arrived having booked 2 rooms to attend a family wedding close by. I can honestly say the receptionist was dam right rude and seriously unhelpful on our arrival when we requested an early check-in on one of our rooms. I really would urge the management to to look at some serious staff training and maybe expect reception staff to welcome guests and to be friendly. I’m utterly shocked at how rude, patronising and hostile the woman on reception was - it was daytime on 24/5/26 !! At the end of the day your business is hospitality - surely you must understand that the face of the hotel is at reception and it is so important that guests who by the way are paying expect to be greeted with a friendly can do attitude. It soured our experience and definitely won’t book again. Also the beds were awful - like sleeping on planks of wood, I would recommend you get some mattress toppers asap - try bed in room 402 !
Hotel was nice it gave Dakota vibes although it is getting alittle warm now. Reception staff was cold and unhelpful even with the simple task of checking in. The hotel was empty but we had to pay £40 to check in at 10:30. Our friends stayed at the same hotel at the same time and they paid £25 for early check in. The breakfast buffet was nice @£15pp Again though our friends paid £7pp for an assortment of the buffet to be brought to the there room ? How can it vary that much.
Overall nice hotel but cleaning staff need to learn to use a duster
Reception staff was very rude. On check in informed the staff member that my wife would be arriving 15 mins later and could she leave a room key at the reception for her which she then refused, so I went up to the room to shower wife turned up and was told that I would have to come down and collect her myself and that I couldn’t authenticate by using the hotel phone in my room. Never had this at any other hotel that I’ve stopped in. I understand that data protection etc that hotels adhere to but I thought this was just quite pathetic and rude in my opinion
No
No
The breakfast was very good , bar area was nice
The hotel is very tired and needs some TLC The bedroom was dark although a good size and the bed comfortable.
Room was dark and depressing with poor lighting. The bathroom was in need of being replaced and modernised. Hanging space poor. The decor is just awful everything brown so needs uplifting.
The rooms. The breakfast food being packed away just as I started to eat my meal. The staff smoking outside of the front door. The depressing decor. Sleeping in the bed was like sleeping on a grave. There was absolutely no spring in the bed so it was like concrete and the pillows are like stones. One of the most uncomfortable stays in a hotel I’ve ever had.
Location was ideal of us hence booking it. The room was lovely & spacious. Bed was really comfy, hard mattress but that’s what I prefer. Hotel & room was really clean. It wasn’t very busy so it was a quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff on reception. Only gripe I have is the lack of plug sockets in the room. No plug sockets either side of bed, just 1 UBS charging port with no type C connection. Overall quite pleased with our stay.
Four of us went to Mour hotel Annesley for a high tea has a surprise for my sisters 80th birthday on Friday May 8th 2026 . A few weeks before we went in to the hotel and spoke to the receptionist who was very obliging about the high tea and booked it right away as the pictures on the Web sight looked beautiful with lovely dainty sandwiches and a good mixture of gorgeous cakes and scones with jam and cream just like you would expect. But what we were served was nothing like there where sandwiches has big as doorsteps plastic looking ham and a cheese slices instead of proper cheese the cakes were a brownie, flap jack and a small millionaires shortbread it looked like they had been to a super market to buy them it was atrocious we did get a scone cream and jam the scone was only a inch thick.but that wasnt to bad We had to leave all the crust on sandwiches as it was to hard .We told the young lad that was behind the bar who by the way was really helpful that we were very disappointed he told the catering staff and they didn't have the curtesy to come and speak to us in my own opinion they knew it wasnt right. We took the rest of our food that was left home which was quite a lot to show our family what was served ( not to eat it )they all said it wasn't exceptiable I Rang to speak to the manager on Monday 11th May 2026 I was told he wasn't there so I left my phone number for him to call and I never received a call from him .We paid nearly £100.00 for this meal and it wouldnt have cost them £15.00 for the 4 of us it was diabolical, If any one is going to go there for a high tea make sure you know what your getting we thought we did and we were so shocked. So if I were you get it in writing as it really spoilt our surprise for our sister bless her awfull isnt a strong enough word for this high tea so be a where Mrs A B Millard on behalf of my other 3 sisters too.
it looked funky and quite modern
the food was nothing like the pictures in trip advisor, nor did it match the description in the menu
Great price but service a little blunt

Staff were friendly and helpful and bar area good
Breakfast was poor
Very helpful staff - WIFI very easy to access.
A modern hotel (in administration) on an industrial park in Nottingham. What makes this hotel stand out is the "Basil Fawlty approach" by some of the management team, who prefer to be confrontational rather welcoming. Beds are rock hard, carpets in bedroom thread bear and appears to be bereft of guests and generally an all round cold feeling. Only positive was the amazing club sandwich, alas, that alone will not be enough to encourage me to return.
The property is very comfortable,
The hotel has some attractive decor and the room looked nice at first glance, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. Some of the interiors felt worn and there was a noticeable smell in parts of the carpeted areas. Reception service was very slow, often seeming understaffed. The biggest issue was comfort — the mattress was extremely hard and made for a very poor night’s sleep. The room was also cold, and despite raising this, we were told the heating system was old and could not be adjusted, which was unacceptable. Breakfast was another major letdown. We had paid extra for breakfast, only to be told in the morning there was no chef available, so only a very limited cold selection was offered. Options were minimal: white bread, mini cereal boxes, a few pastries, and very limited coffee choices. It did not feel worth paying for. The room amenities were very basic — just a kettle, shower gel and towels, with none of the little extras you might expect. Overall, while the hotel has some charm visually, the poor sleep quality, lack of heating, disappointing breakfast and weak service meant I would not choose to stay here again. Not value for money waste of a stay
Diabolical service being charged for 2 rooms instead of 1 with a GM that couldn't care less. No wonder this hotel is in administration.
I like the location & style of the hotel
It did look a bit tired in places with worn flooring etc
Breakfast
The worst bed me and my partner has slept in we both woke up with bad backs just wasn’t great also the pillows were very flat no shape to them. Bedding has marks all over as well when leaving in the morning wasn’t even asked how our stay was so very poor house keeping. Just wouldn’t stay here again as it felt like we only enjoyed our breakfast and that was a vey expensive breakfast at £126 for the stay
Nice rooms and quiet
Location wasn’t very central
very clean and professional
nothing
Check in was fine but no smile from staff, rooms was ok and clean. But my god BUY new beds absolutely shocking so hard I really struggled to sleep. I asked for extra pillows, they never delivered me any and I wait a good few hours before I got undressed. Rooms was too hot. Locations fine. We stays for the steak deal. Service was great and fast and food was good. Nothing exciting but good. Overall I wouldn’t visit again.
Looking a lot better now some refurbished areas visible
The bed was very uncomfortable not sure if a new mattress needed. Stayed here before and don’t remember an issue then
The bed was quite comfortable.
The rooms are quite drab with threadbare carpets.
Modern hotel
Needs new carpets. Could lobby, cold restaurant. Poor breakfast
Steak for dinner was nice
lacks management, place very tired, sheets dirty, breakfast slow out and not great
Lovely room, staff were very helpful when I needed things, over all a very pleasant stay
Nothing comes to mind
Breakfast was good
Beds where shocking would have been softer sleeping on the floor
Bed was comfy,lovely pillows,great shower
The bed frame sticking out, walked my shins several times
Efficient staff, food okay. Our room/bathroom was clean.
Very expensive bar prices, rooms dated and "brown", could do with refurbishment. Mattresses too firm.
Chambre bruyante surtout sur l'extérieur. fenêtre laissant passer trop d'air. Prix trop élevé par rapport à la qualité de l'hotel. Literie pas bonne. sol pas propre et attente au restaurant beaucoup trop long.
