Hotel good, Animation fabulous and very frindly, shows were great and daytime dances were fun and everybody joined in around the pool, activities were well planned and enjoyable, all the guys were amazing g. , very friendly, very clean hotel, ideal location, beautiful setting. Food was ok, bit cold but edible.

Myself and a few friends stayed here recently. It's not the best quality but not the worst either... It's clean and good condition, probably a 3 star by European Standards. What did make my holiday though was the staff... Nihel in particular on reception, welcomed us immediately with a big smile 😊 She took the time to check if we were okay everytime she saw us, and always chatted for a few moments. I can't emphasise how much good staff make the difference when I go on holiday, Nihel is an asset to this hotel

Awful, unless you're French, forget it !! Food abysmal warm, rarely hot. So bland, rejigged next day ie, meatballs, next day in a bland sauce, still inedible. Thank God for fries and rolls. Staff are OK, rooms and cleaners excellent apart from a 3ft drop stepping out of a slimline bath . Drinks are so chemical tasting when you get the correct one. Ask for vodka coke, get brandy and Fanta! They were working on steps to beack, so leaving a 5ft drop, so inaccessible. Plus a 2.5 hr transfer , never to go again, we knew mahdia was quiet but had 2 small grocery shops, 2 clothes shops, 1 money exchange and 2 chemists, few places to eat via taxi, more coffee lounges than eateries. You've been warned !

You know what really angers me? They've watered down all the alcohol in the bar with water. It doesn’t matter whether it’s on the all-inclusive menu or if you pay extra. Yes, the hotel is at most three stars. It's old and in need of refurbishment. The food was average, plain, and boring. Okay, we didn't pay a fortune, and many things can be forgiven and overlooked. But seriously, managers??? This is outright scamming and criminal to dilute alcohol. You scammed your customers right in front of everyone. Nothing wrong with the rest of the staff, all were nice and polite. It was my second and final trip to this country. No respect. At all.

If you’re after a cheap but not cheerful holiday, Thalassa Mahdia is the place to go. Not the place to be during Ramadan as it is very bare. Full of money leaches in and out of the hotel. Food is scarce, drinks are watered down immensely and if you’re not a big tipper then expect dirty looks and rude remarks. Rooms are basic. Only French TV. Pool is freezing but the indoor pool is nice. The atmosphere is again, full of French so as a British couple we was made to feel like outcasts. The entertainment team and the excursion man is full of BS! Very rude and / or either over exaggerated. If you want excursions then venture out and find local ones as it’s cheaper! However there was only one or two members of staff that actually made an effort and try to give you a good “service” but the other members of staff will literally mock you and taunt you to your face thinking you don’t realise it. (See picture below; becarful of Robbie rotten… if you know you know) The location is mediocre, nothing around. Best to stay in Sousse if you want markets and night life. Very quiet hotel apart from French karaoke and French bingo… I’m not usually a Debby Downer and we tried our best to make a have a nice time despite it all so if you’re just after a quick escape from reality then it’s ok but just beware. Was also warned about bed bugs and scammers on the beach. All in all; BEWARE. :)

I had a very pleasant stay at thalassa Mahdia hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and always smiling, which makes guests feel welcome. The animation team is energetic and entertaining, offering fun activities during the day and night.

We had an absolutely brilliant time. The entertainment team were fantastic, especially rio and dudu who are very friendly and always helpful. We wipp be back agan. Thank you to ll the staff!

Our trip was fantastic , everybody at the hotel from ali the resteraunt waiter. To the bar staff all friendly , more so the entertainment Doudou and jimmy were brilliant keeping us on our toes, food was brilliant atmosphere brilliant. Went on the day tour everyone great. Would definitely come back again.

First time visiting Tunisia,people very friendly,cant do enough for you,hotel reception staff very friendly on arrival,explained everything really well,we changed our money up,note if travelling from Scotland change to English notes or euros as they wouldnt take Scottish notes,we phoned before and asked. Entertainment team have been fantastic dou dou and jamie and another guy,its very quite here at the moment but they make sure there things going on to keep you busy,cant do enough for you,they really deserve so much credit,along with the bar staff,restaurant staff,especially Ali who goes above and beyond and such a genuine friendly man who is very good at his job.Cleaners keep the hotel very clean aswel as the outside team who keep it all spotless. I think a coffee machine where you could help yourself would be a good idea,especially if you wake before breakfast and want a hot drink. Could do with some snacks around the bar area,maybe this happens in the busier months,but the winter months this would be good to,or even some vending machines where you could purchase. I think like alot have said hotel could do with a lick of paint,and rooms updated a little,because its a great hotel in a great location.

The hotel was clean and the staff were excellent, they were very friendly and helpful right from the beginning. The hotel catered for mainly French and Arabic clientele but we were able to find something to suit our tastes at every meal. Overall a great experience.

Lovely clean hotel. Room was spacious with a great balcony view to the sea. Lovely beach on the doorstep. As the hotel wasn't busy it was always quiet which was perfect for a relaxing break. Very friendly and helpful staff. Evening entertainment was fun and the team led by Doudou got everyone involved. Food was very good but also seemed to improve when the hotel got busy towards the end of our stay, including snacks at the bar which weren't available for most of our stay. Supermarkets nearby sell everything you'd need. Excellent value for money. Only downside is the 2 hour bus transfer to and from the airport. However, would definitely visit again.

A very clean, tidy hotel. Food and service is excellent. Entertainment 100% both Smiley and Doudou are fantastic, they go out of their way to help you. Night time bar man Mr bombastic had drinks on tap!! Would definitely return. A few shops just a short distance away from hotel that has everything you need. The hotel is literally on thd beach also!

From the time we arrived till the last moment we left it was a top class atmosphere, it was amazing experience, Hotel was great clean charm with great pool and fantastic direct golden beaches and extraordinary clean and clear sea water, very good hospitality, lovely food and hygiene. All the staff were friendly and great, room was clean and comfortable, must give a big thank you to all the staff from the security by the main gate , receptionist, housekeeping staff, barista , animation team and waiter at the restaurant and must give a big credit to Ali Brahmi a fantastic personality waiter at the hotel main all inclusive restaurant, very welcoming, polite, friendly , smiling and very caring and looking after customers.

Food.. some edible some awful Don't eat the cheese slices, tasteless and awful texture, close to crumbly cardboard !! Pool was ok, swim up bar only has beer, fizzy drinks and coffee Beach was 20 metres away and lovely but no bar, had to keep walking back to pool bar. Staff... most really great, some not so. Knock a few stars off their rating for realistic level at resort. Room dated, but you only sleep and shower so that never bothers us. They made the bed and cleaned the room every day. Pot luck if you had working air con, and we had no fridge. Others had a fridge but hit and miss if it worked or not. The French love this hotel, they cater for them more than any other visitors, and lots of older generation here. Beer was acceptable, cocktails were crap as mixers were the syrup type and not proper fruit juices, and I swear they water the vodka down, I should have been wasted on them but wasn't lol. Pineapple mixer was the best of the crap. We will never go back. Staff were encouraged by management to get visitors to do good reviews, so I obliged with a short nice one, but since back home, have deleted and written this realist one.....

If Luca kiko and slimane wasn’t here our experience would have been very very different. Food was ok didn’t eat much. Rooms could’ve been better had no fridge. The actual hotel and pool area is gorgeous the beach is lovely !! Entertainment was amazing but like I say Luca and kiko and slimane are 10/10

This was my first experience as a solo female and I had the best time. The actual hotel it self was OK, the food is very hit or miss however the animation team and bar staff are amazing and definitely made the holiday 10/10, Luca, Kiki and dodo are outstanding along with Slimane is also fantastic and even with the language barrier he is so funny and hospitable.

Very good entertainment lovely staff especially Kiko and Luca both very funny and kept the energy throughout food was okay but highly recommend the food in the local area lots of variety some Italian and Spanish dishes if you don’t fancy Tunisian food but overall experience I would rate 10/10. The rooms are okay I would recommend to upgrade from standard room only thing I would say out the whole experience that wasn’t that great but overall like I said very good time loved every second of it

Arrived from uk early morning flight , room not ready on arrival , finally ready at around 3pm. Brought medication etc with me only to find no fridge in room THIS IS EXTRA £5 per night which I’ve never experienced in any 4 star hotel ANYWHERE and I’ve visited around 15 different countries. So if your a young family with a baby or diabetic which needs food or medication stored in fridge that’s going to cost you extra . Booked a double room with sea view which is 2 singles pushed together with a gap in between which again isn’t stated and a deal breaker . The smallest balcony which barely holds 2 chairs and the sea view is manageable if you strain your neck to look around the building. Food is typical AI, drinks and staff all friendly enough to. Multi nationality hotel which is good to see . I’ve been to Tunisia multiple times and honestly this is the worst room / balcony and facilities we have experienced .

The animation team at Thalassa Mahdia is great this year. Always kind, full of energy, and making every day and evening fun for everyone. The mini disco is amazing, my daughter enjoying it every evening and I think I can speak for all children here. I have been in this hotel three times, and this animation team is the best. Thank you all for making our holiday so special 😍 we will miss you.

The biggest letdown was a thin older lady at the reception and an older balding man in the hotel bar – they were extremely unfriendly and really shouldn’t be working in hospitality. The rooms are pretty outdated, but the food, the beach, the animators, and the rest of the staff were absolutely great!

This is our first visit to talassa Mahdia hotel and it was a very nice experience and full with activities and fun and the service it was soo cool I’m in love with this hotel and his vipe 👌🏼❤️🇹🇳

The hotel was very basic, not a 4 star hotel at all. Maybe to African standards but not in terms of other holiday destinations in Europe. The choice of food wasn’t very good and we mainly settled for pizza, pasta and potatoes. The new rooms was basic with limited plug sockets. I even had to take the TV off the wall bracket just to be able to access another plug as there were only 2 others in the room, one of which was hidden behind the desk. We requested a move because we got put in 3 of the rooms which seemed to be putting the English family out of the way in the basement. There were a lot of problems with the initial rooms; mainly specks of blood dotted around the room and lights being loose in their sockets. There isn’t much to do around the hotel in terms of shopping, there are mainly clothes shops with a corner dedicated to drinks and snacks. Some hotel staff weren’t very welcoming to the English and catered and served the French speakers first even though we’d been queuing. We also had money stolen from our room by the room maintenance / cleaning staff which was fastened in our wallets and they claimed that it might’ve been taken without consent for TIPS! To sum all that up: we won’t be returning and we left quite disappointed with the hotel. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR MONEY!

VERY BADLY EQUIPPED HOTEL, OLD-FASHIONED, NEEDS REFRESHING, SMALL CHOICE OF FOOD, OFTEN COLD, LONG QUEUES FOR FOOD WHICH OFTEN RUNS OUT, LOW QUALITY ALCOHOL, BARTENDERS DO NOT KNOW THE RECIPES FOR THE MOST POPULAR DRINKS, HOT AND FIZZY BEVERAGES, SHABBY BATHROOMS, OUR SHOWER WAS BROKEN, WATER WAS COMING ONTO THE CURTAIN INSTEAD OF ON US, WATER WOULD NOT DRAIN FROM THE BATHTUB, TO HAVE AN AVAILABLE SUNBED YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP EARLY IN THE MORNING AND KEEP AN EYE OUT BECAUSE THERE'S NO CHANCE OF COMING AT A NORMAL TIME AND HAVING THE POSSIBILITY OF A FREE SUNBED. PLUS, WARM WATER IN THE POOL, WORKING AIR CONDITIONING THOUGH IT SHOULD BE CLEANED, AND WARM SEA. UNFORTUNATELY, WE WILL NOT VISIT THIS HOTEL AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

The hotel is extra top personall is wery geeat they will help you 24h if you lose some things on beach you can pickup on reception.and Hassine is wery helpful and the waither rabakh is so good and all of the waithers need more tips

Bad experience, very old furniture, the most importing things the glass are wash at hand, hygenee is very low, the rooms are bad, small, very old furniture and the cleen is hotel us 2. The food is mediocre, they have only 2 bars, with bad drinks, nothing quality, i will never go to Thalassa Chain. They have a sepereded programs for italian people, you can not eat were they take diner, and i thinks the drinks are diferent for them, bad entertaiment in the evening, and to make an ideea about this Hotel of 4 stars, but in reality is 2+ , the MiniDisco or the pkace to leave your child is to a toilet were it smell ,this is a Good management Thalasssa . Enjoy your holiday !!!

We stayed in this hotel for two weeks and had a great time here. Everything was good, food, staff, and especially animation team, both for adults and children. Mario is the best animator.

we are on our third day in this hotel, an hour and half from NBE airport, the lobby was nice but too hot no aircondition the whole day. better stay in your room with a little aircondition. (better than the lobby). Internet was good through out the hotel. The current temperature ranging from 30- 39 degree from 10 am to 16:00; rooms are outdated and not been refurbish since the it was built in 2002 contrary to what the they claiming it was refurbish in 2018. the amenities are good with 4 pools including children slide and indoor pool, food was basic and repetitive, but i have to give 4 star for most staff on the main restaurant name Housse and Mohammad for warm kindness and Hassine in the bar for his signature drink. Kudos to these people who have made the whole groups holiday a positive experience. Sad that we cannot go and explore the outside due to current Uk travel advisory. The entertainment was good especially with family with children. Location to the beach was amazing. Relaxing to see the sunrise and sunset and people enjoying all water activities late afternoon, pool closes at 5 and 6 pm no late swimming so you must enjoy when you can.

Everything was great I went with my bf and we have all good to say about this resort Food was nice, workers are great and it have a loving exterior and interior They have a very funny animators that we enjoyed spending time with especially Mario who was always there for us Will come back again for sure❤️

This year's Holiday was horrible,problems with the room the beginning, the good Is still ok, the sea Is amazing And the chasseur Hassine is the best.

I think that all the people who work in a hotel are nice and always have a smile on the face, but there are many people who don't know how to talk to customers I thank so much Mohamed (lifeguard) and louka(animation) and aziz (bar) And the hotel its very good and I will come again See you soon

All the negative reviews 🤦🏾🤣 for what it is it’s great . A bit dated I.e could do with some paint and rooms updating . However for how much it costs and what you get . Awesome . Food can get a bit boring however it’s great otherwise . Staff are great too .

The animation team has a lot of energy, they are really nice, especially Kiko, Luka, Mido, Billy, Momo, they are really the best. The beach is beautiful, food is good. I would definitely come back.

From the moment we arrived, the experience at this hotel was nothing short of perfect. The staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and came with all the modern amenities you could ask for—including a breathtaking view! And the animators are the best part of thia hotel!

Very honest review here, I'll start with the negatives, I got charged on arrival 5* tourist tax of £150 for a 4* hotel that realistically wasn't even 3*, rooms are very dated and grubby, TV and the door on the mini fridge was broken after mentioning this to reception we were told it would be replaced when they had time, I fixed it myself after 4 days, the food was mediocre at best and made with the lowest quality of ingredients. The poolside snackbar that advertised snacks and ice-cream all day for kids is complete nonsense, you can get a stale sandwich from between 11am-12 or crêpes/panini from between 15:30-17:00 that's it, nothing else is available to kids throughout the day regarding snacks, the bar was very small compared to the hotel which meant a lot of queuing for drinks/beer that were served in these tiny plastic cups that you would give to a toddler. The positives are the people and staff are absolutely amazing and very friendly, the pool and outside area beach/decking is beautiful and well maintained. It's also worth mentioning that the website claims to have mini golf, football area, nightclub, gym ect and these simply didn't exist, there was a tennis court if you would call it that which looked to be derelict for years. The people of Tunisia were lovely but I would never return to this hotel

Subotica, Serbia 2511 Amazing, Super Review of Thalassa Mahdia Reviewed Jun 26, 2023 In Thalassa Mahdia Food is very delicious, service is well, all the staff ( waiters, animators, barmens ) are very friendly...exception porter(guy in yellow) he looked at my wallet, how much money was in it, like it is own wallet, and he impudently motioned for me to give him a money. The rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed daily. Thanks to the hotel's excellent facilities, comfortable accommodations, and the exceptional service provided by the team, I had a truly memorable time. I am already looking forward to returning in the future as I can confidently say that I will be coming back to this hotel without hesitation.

LET ME TELL YOU I AM NEVER GOING THERE AGAI🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮I went there on my birthday, the lady at the desk was rude and impatient. The food was absolutely vile, always cold and complaint alot.they speak about you in their own language and think we dont know but apart from that the hotel is nice. Food ruined our whole holiday made my belly go bad. 🤢Food came out raw twice. Never in my whole life have i had food at a restaurant like this . ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT ALL SOMETHING NEEDS TO HAPPEN . If you dont believe me TRY IT FOR YOURSELF.Also the some staff are quite concerning, when i went in my bikini they stare and make you feel uncomfortable alot which just made me not want to get in the pool. Another thing thats bad their is the WiFi. Theres only WiFi in the lobby when you leave the lobby to go upstairs or anywhere else it goes, which is not good at all for anyone 🤬🤬🤬please if this ISNT SORTED I WILL BE MAKING IT IN MY POWER TO SHUT THAT PLACE DOWN becuse my birthday holiday was appauling because of these reasons I WANTED TO GO HOME STRAIGHT AWAY ! Nice staff dispite some review never had a problem on my stay. Food might be good but couldnt understand the labels they need a discription of everything in the meals, i found myself getting chips and like beef with onion and gravy everyday, food is about 3 stars no more, nothing to do though here this time of here you have to venture out of the hotel there are many quad tours near by this time of year nov and camel rides but no other excersions. Pool outdoors is very cold we never used it only the indoor one which is nice and warm. The shop inside of hotel has a lovely gentleman working who doesnt harras you or to buy, lovely clothes in there also tshirts with many labels. Cleanliness id give a 3.5 stars the cubords were dirty there was poo on the douche. Dont expect 5 star clean but i would bring some bags to put clothes out in cubords to line bottom. I had to go to bar with half pint glass alot they dont do pints i asked for 2 they said no. All in all i wouldnt stay again but am grateful of the politeness off staff here.

It was a great vacation. The animators made it an unforgettable experience. They had good programs and were very nice. The employees were all very nice. The hotel was good, the beach was beautiful, but big waves. The food was also good. I recommend a vacation here.

Myself and my husband have just returned from 10 days all inclusive atay at thalassa mahdia.the actual travel time to the hotel is 2.5 hours away from enfidha airport. First impressions were good we were quickly checked in and as it was lunch time we went straight through for lunch.we had a walk round see what was available and everything looked nice.we had to find our own seat which was quite annoying with a plate of food.i went and got a drink in which I can only describe as a thimble sized glass. We were showed to our room which was a ground floor room with a pool view which was nice but we decided to move room day after as I was a very dark room so we had a top floor(3 floors) which had pool and sea view much nicer .breakfast is probably the best meal to have so fill up ...the omelette are beautiful and made fresh and quickly .the only grumble I've got with breakfast was the toaster was turn off as a chef does a basket of toast which goes hard and cool very quickly. Plenty of coffee but I personally take my own tea bags...I'm British lol Food is okay but little repetitive but that's all inclusive for you The pool and surroundings are very pretty. Plenty of sunbeds .there is a lot of flys and bugs which normally I get eaten alive no matter where I go.TOP TIP put some tea tree oil in your suncream or oil and they tend to stay clear. The pool bar is nice but the barman needs to learn to smile and have some manners . The animation team are really nice especially sasha who does the mini club but all are friendly.didnt really do a lot of activities throughout the day but the aqua gym is funny and good.you can get a towel from reception for 20 Tunisian dinar deposit but keep the receipt The hotel it's self is a bit dated but spotless couldn't fault the cleaners and maids. We did however feel a little isolated as we were the only two English in the hotel mainly French. If you need a cash point the closest place is a bout a 20 min walk to a change bureau left from the hotel. There is a little shop downstairs near the spa but it's very small and limited choice .I didn't use the spa or the indoor pool.a gentleman who sits by the beach entrance shows you various trips and excursions to go on we opted for the pirate ship which was okay but small ...no alcohol is on the actually boat but you can take some or they give you soft drinks and quite a pleasant meal which is cooked on the boat. We both have been Tunisia many times different parts and areas not sure if we would return to thalassa

Dans sa majorité notre séjour s'est bien passé. Un petit bémol suite a l'indisponibilité de la climatisation alors qu'il restait plus de 30° a l'extérieur.

I feel that this hotel needed a good refurb of the rooms and changing area bythe indoor pool.The food was very plain and not really that good .The staff however I could not fault, very very friendly lovely people who worked extremely hard.I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends sadley.

we stayed 3 nights at this hotel. they gave us no#1010 room. poor interior furnitures. the problem was the humidity in ground floor. impossible to dry a shirt in 3 days in balcony. when it is all inclusive all you can drink is water(if you don't like cold teas and dirty glasses)
