Location dell'albergo spettacolare. Personale gentile, ma non in numero adeguato per la pulizia delle stanze che avveniva anche alle 18:00 con conseguenti disagi. Ottimi la cucina e il servizio in sala.

La struttura è un po’ datata, però in ordine. Il personale è preparato e cordiale, colazione internazionale per tutti i gusti. Non mi è piaciuto l’accesso al mare che offre l’albergo, in compenso avevamo una vista dal balcone su porto azzurro veramente spettacolare.

They don’t have hot water, only slightly warm. No drain stopper in the bath tub. Breakfast was good. Dinner so-so.

Very disappointed. The pool area was dirty, the hallways carpets were stained and the room looked and felt like a hospital room, stale and no amenities in the room. I lost my money because I left to stay at another location

Positiva, ma struttura vecchia, materasso terribile, colazione non a livello di un 4 stelle. Fortunatamente nessuno con difficoltà motorie, perché l’ascensore per raggiungere la spiaggia era fuori servizio….

This hotel has a great location, a very good pool and a private beach. The staff is attentive, friendly and welcoming. That's the good points. Everything else is bad- the hotel needs investing some money into renovation the rooms as our air conditioning was non-existent and water taps were working so badly that hardly any water was coming out, the furniture is basic and very outdated. The hotel restaurant is terrible - the breakfast and dinner options are of such a poor quality it's unbelievable. The desserts, apparently, are being baked in a prison in Padua and delivered to Elba- they cannot be fresh by definition. It's a 4-star hotel, they should use 4-star chefs, not inmates to cook the food! As a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, we were told at the beach that we are only allowed 1 umbrella and 2 sunbeds- really?? We had a double room, so surely everyone should be allowed to have a sunbed! So inconsiderate. The location is so beautiful so do come but do not stay at this hotel, it is stuck somewhere in the 70s.

Above expectations. Outside of building is outdated but room was nice and clean with an amazing view. Pool and beach was awesome. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We will come back!

Ok hotell med frokost. Familierom mot bakgård hadde ikke balkong, det var en nedtur. Ellers god service, fin strand. Fikk beskjed om at det kun var en parasoll pr rom. Det er litt dumt at man ikke får beskjed om når man bestiller familerom med fire senger. Ellers lite utvalg til lunsj, og siden man er avhengig av bil for å komme til restaurant er det litt dumt.

Litt harde senger men ellers var alt var kjempe bra:)

La struttura a picco sul mare (stupendo) gode di una spiaggetta privata raggiungibile attraverso 226 gradini. Ma c’è un provvidenziale ascensore. Camere grandi, personale accogliente (simpatici ed efficienti Fabio e Lucia coordinatori dello staff di sala). Piscine ben tenute, con acqua di mare. Insomma c’è tutto quanto serve ad un soggiorno confortevole in un contesto naturale affascinante

Fantastisk sjøutsikt fra rommet. Hotellet ligger oppe på en liten høyde, men det går heis ned til stranden. Anbefaler halvpensjon da de har helt fantastisk mat på hotellet.

The hotel looks great as you come into the foyer, but the corridors and general upkeep let it down. The walkway to the pool is not welcoming and pool bar very limited for food choices. The water jets in one pool were not working. The outside area is not used to it’s potential and has a feel of faded glamour, and is a bit neglected.

Waren schon das dritte mal in diesem Hotel, leider hat das Frühstück aufdrehen Terrasse nicht ganz so schön wie wir uns dass vorgestellt haben. Das Frühstück war früher ein Traum, heuer war es normaler Italienischer Standart. Außerdem war das Essen immer aus und wurde nur auf Anforderung nachgefüllt. Tische wurden auch nicht nachgedeckt. Die Lage ist Top und der langsame Lift zum fast menschenleeren privaten Strand sind noch immer das Beste. Schade um das Hotel

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. Man hat eine wunderbare Aussicht auf Porta Azzurro. Der Strand ist sehr Sauber und mit der Standseilbahn einfach zu erreichen. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch immer noch in gutem Zustand.

It’s an older hotel, needs renovation. My kids A/c didn’t work, our tv had no signal. They tried to overcharge me at checkout. It’s in a nice area with a good place to swim and relax by the water.

Het privé strand was geweldig. Jammer dat de bar daar maar tot 18uur open was. Daardoor is er na 18u geen eet en drink gelegenheid, terwijl hier wel de faciliteiten voor aanwezig zijn. Uitzicht vanaf onze kamer was adembenemend, we keken uit op zee en de haven. Zeer groot 2 persoonsbed, maar wel vrij hard. Geen optie tot thee/ koffie op de kamer.

Nice hotel with elevator access to a private beach. They have a restaurant at the beach for lunch. Food in the dining room and beach was excellent. The beds and pillows are the hardest, most uncomfortable that I have ever had in a hotel.

Schöne Aussicht, ruhig. Hotel eigener Strand mit Aufzug. Allerdings ohne Auto nicht zu empfehlen zu Fuß ist alles sehr weit weg. Schöner öffentlicher Strand in der Nähe. Tolle Terrasse.

Sehr freundliches Personal, Lage toll mit wunderbaren Aussichten, Anlage und Bademöglichkeiten toll, aber der Zustand des Hotels ist veraltet und dringend renovierungsbedürftig.

Camera buona, servizio ristorante non all' altezza di 4 stelle (poco personale, malfuziinante vari servizi), pessimo stato della struttura (tapeto del corridoio in pessimo stato, porte con chiave antiquate, wifi non funzionante).

Sehr freundliches Personal (besonders Juan/, sehr sauber! Privatstrand war etwas enttäuschend, wenn man die anderen unglaublichen Buchten auf Elba kennt. Trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert.

Prachtige lokatie. Pand is verouderd en, erger nog, nogal sfeerloos. Grand Hotel onwaardig. Geweldig uitzicht. Goede airco. Geld niet waard.

Das Grand Hotel Elba International ist wunderschön an der Bucht von Porto Azzurro gelegen und bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Marina von Porto Azzurro sowie aufs Meer. Die Grünanlagen im Außenbereich sowie auch der Poolbereich sind sehr schön gepflegt und vermitteln tolles Urlaubsflair. Am Privatstrand den man über einen Schrägaufzug erreicht, gibt es die Möglichkeit auf einem kleinen Sandstrand oder auf Plattformen aus Holzplanken kostenfrei Liegen mit Sonnenschirme zu nutzen. Unser Zimmer (Junior Suite) war sehr geräumig, klimatisiert und in gutem Zustand. Es war sehr sauber. Deutsche TV-Sender empfängt man leider nicht. Das Frühstück hat uns nicht so gut gefallen, es ist zwar umfangreich jedoch gibt es das größte Angebot bei süßen Teilchen und Kuchen. Gerade bei Wurst und Käse gibt es nur eine sehr eingeschränkte, nicht wechselnde Auswahl. Wir waren bereits zum 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und würden es beim nächsten Elba Urlaub wieder buchen, nicht zuletzt wegen der günstigen Lage.

Een al wat ouder gebouw met wat oudere gedateerde (bad) kamers. Helemaal geen slechte kamers verder. Hotel met privé strand, kabellift naar strand toe. Zwembad aanwezig niet in geweest. Strand met stijger om op te liggen op stoelen, barretje en restaurantje aan het strand. Ontbijt gewoon goed, veel keuze. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Personeel heel vriendelijk, meewerkend, flexibel. We zijn goed behandeld. Kregen een upgrade van kamer omdat de kamer niet beschikbaar was.

This hotel rates itself as 4 stars, but is really only 3 star level, with some added features. The positives are the friendly staff, great view from our window across the bay to Port Azzurro and the nice private beach area below the hotel accessed by the hotel lift. There are areas of wooden decking and sand, a bar and basic restaurant, which we did not eat in. The 2 hotel pools looked fine. The downsides include the shabby and weather worn exterior of the hotel, although the rooms and interior public areas have been upgraded somewhat. But the big downside, was the poor value for the facilities and lack of ambience for the money paid for the room. I imagine the cost of the upkeep of the 2 pools, the lift to the private beach and maintenance generally, are high. Another downside is no outside restaurants are accessible by foot from the hotel. We drove to Porto Azzurro, but that takes 15 minutes, and then is a hassle to find a carpark. The second night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant, which we found a good experience, with tasty food and efficient friendly service at reasonable prices. However, overall we felt that the hotel was not good value for money.

Lage und Badesteg sehr gut, Schrägaufzug top! Frühstück war sehr eintönig, recht schnell war das Buffet leer und wurde nur zögerlich nachgelegt!

Cooles Hotel , Top Lage für einen Strandurlaub. Mit dem Hotel eigenen Lift gehts zum Privatstrand, wo kein Liegen suchen nötig ist. Frühstück ist ein Traum, süss oder fleischig, Obst oder Cornflaks , alles da. Zimmer mit Klima , Kühlschrank und Safe. Garten und Pool sind sehr gepflegt. Waren schon 2 mal da und kommen sicher wieder.

Das Hotel ist in einem sauberen Zustand, leider schon etwas veraltet aber mit einer tollen Lage, sehr schöner Pool Anlage, klasse Dachterasse und schönem Strand. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit kleinem Hund gebucht, Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, leider nicht mit viel Abwechslung.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, sie sprechen auch Deutsch. Das Zimmer war immer sehr sauber. Der Service beim Abendessen war anfangs unkoordiniert; z.T. lange Wartezeiten auf Bedienung. Wurde aber von Tag zu Tag besser. Das Frühstück war etwas eintönig. Außenbereich inkl. Pool war tadellos. 4 Sterne sind mir für dieses Hotel etwas zu hoch gegriffen.

Die Lage ist super. Waren schon einmal dort. Die Badebucht, der Pool alles sehr gut. Nur leider wird das Hotel zunehmend von Bussen angefahren, was eindeutig zu Lasten der Qualität geht. Teilweise 2 Reisebusse vor dem Hotel. Geht gar nicht. Schade, hat dadurch an Charme verloren. Renovierung stünde auch mal wieder an.

Our superior room was large and comfortable with spectacular views. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Over all the decor is rather dated and carpets are stained in public areas which gives an undeserved bad impression. The restaurant with great views if you are lucky serves a variety of good food with excellent service. The breakfast is particularly good except for terrible coffee and dreadful fruit juice. I couldn’t drink either which I found disappointing. The pools are large and clean but too salty and caused eye discomfort. Reception staff are helpful and friendly. The car park is a long steep walk away from the reception. The private beach which is reached via lift was clean. There is a bar and an over priced restaurant.

Ist schon etwas abgewohnt und die Betten sehr hart. Das essen hat uns nicht überzeugt. was sehr schön ist, der eigene Strand den man mit einem Lift erreicht. Die Poolanlage ist auch in Ordnung. Das Personal ist auch sehr freundlich.

Great to have pontoon access to sea, not crowded and good pools. Provided gluten free breakfast on request. Better if provided fresh fruit juice. Bar meals / drinks expensive We did not have balcony so no outdoor space or view from room but did provide adjoining room for our daughter. Stayed 5 nights- good amount of time. Able to bring dogs / cats at additional cost

Nous avons séjourné dans le Grand hôtel d’Elba International, avec des prestations de qualité. Le personnel était très souriant et à l’écoute. L’hôtel met à disposition un ascenseur pour rejoindre une plage trés bien surveillée. Nous avons visiter la ville de Capoliveri et celle de Portoferraio. L’île d’Elbe est très belle pour les amoureux de la nature. Lilia

Posizione strategica. Personale cortesissimo. Ambienti molto puliti. Camera e bagno ampi e con tutti i confort. Spiaggia privata con ascensore a cremagliera! Due piscine con acqua di mare. Vista mozzafiato sul golfo di Porto Azzurro. Buffet molto completo con alimenti freschissimi e tante altre piacevoli sorprese. Eccellente.

Trevligt hotell med fantastisk utsikt nära egen privat strand. Lite avsides från restauranger och folkliv så man får ta egen bil (eller taxibåt). Hotellets restaurang var inte så mysig, istället rekommenderas middag i t ex Port Azzuro eller Capoliveri. Hårda sängar!

Von der ersten Minute an haben wir uns in diesem Hotel wohl gefühlt. Die Erholung war perfekt. Pools klasse, Strand herrlich, Essen sehr lecker, Zimmer und Balkon fantastisch. Service rund rum. Rezeption immer hilfsbereit, auch bei Sonderwünschen hat immer alles geklappt. Ein Traumurlaub. Wir kommen wieder.

Hotel in posizione ottimale, molti confort, panoramico, pulito, ascensore per la spiaggia, lettini e telo inclusi. Due piscine e sicuramente tanto altro che però non abbiamo visto perchè abbiamo visitato anche altre spiagge dell'isola. Totale Relax con la R maiuscola.

tolles Hotel in sehr schöner Lage, der Blick hinüber nach Porto Azzuro ist atemberaubend, vor allem im Einbruck der Dunkelheit; zu meinen persönlichen Highlights in deisem Hotel gehört sicher der Lift / Schrägaufzug zum Strand hinunter, wer mag kann ja den steilen Abhang runterklettern, in FlipFlops und mit Badetasche ist man mit dem "Lift" aber besser dran, nach der Ausstiegsstelle nur noch ein paar Treppen und man findet einen netten Hotelstrand vor. Auf Pfählen wurden hier Terassen angelegt auf denen sich Liegestühle und Sonnenschirme befinden - das Gute daran, von da aus kann man direkt entweder ins Wasser springen oder über Schwimmleitern runterklettern und man befindet sich im Wasser mit da bereits min 2m Wassertiefe, zum Schwimmen ganz toll!

Great hotel, sea view room was amazing with a great view. Good beach close to the hotel. Hotel restaurant was excellent and served great food. Hotel location is not the best for visting shops, restaurants and exploring round the island if you can’t drive or not willing to hire a bike. Therefore it’s expensive taxis journeys. If you are looking to relax and not wander to far away from the hotel with beautiful scenic views then the location is perfect. It was good value compared to other places in Italy.

Wir wurden sehr nett an der Rezeption empfangen. Das Hotel ist wie in Italien typisch in den 80er Jahren stehen geblieben, also alles etwas nostalgisch. Die Mitarbeiter geben sich dennoch sehr viel Mühe und sind sehr freundlich. Die Aussicht aus den Zimmern mit Meerblick ist sehr schön! Man sieht in die Bucht von Porto Azzurro. Das Hotelzimmer besitzt zwei Pools, einer davon ist riesig, sowie einen schönen Badesteg am Meer. Leider war im Herbst schon Vormittags sehr schnell die Sonne dort weg. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und vielseitig, mit Rühren, Brötchen, frischem Obst usw...WiR haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und schöne Tage auf Elba verbracht und die Insel erkundet.

This hotel was lovely. Room very clean and cleaned every day, with fresh towels provided daily. Great breakfast buffet. Lovely decking area for sunbathing down at the beach. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Helped me track down gluten free pizzas in capoliveri!

Die Mitarbeiter sind nett und hilfsbereit. Die Außenanlagen sind gepflegt aber die Zimmer sind sehr herunter gekommen. Der Privatstrand ist schön und mit einem Fahrstuhl gut erreichbar. Die Lage des Hotels ist dafür nicht ganz so toll, da das Hotel in einer Einbahnstraße liegt.

The hotel is very very dated and in need of a lot of repair. The breakfast was poor quality and not enjoyable. Very old table and chairs. Pool area has lovely views and big pool with good sun beds but floor and steps need better maintenance.

The hotel is well located on top of the hill facing Porto Azzuro. The view is really nice and the village easily accessible (at least by car but a taxi boat is available). The facilities are good with a nice large pool with a nice view, a rooftop bar to enjoy pre dinner drinks and a private beach (the elevator is very convinient). The room was ok but the bed could have been more comfortable (for a stars hotel). The breakfast is a large buffet with multiple choices which are ok, a bit below the average buffet in 4 stars hotels we used to stay. The bread and pastries are not really tasty (we are French and noticed that we usually do not like the Italian bread and pastries - nothing different in this hotel). Price was a bit high but it was at the heart of August and we had an enjoyable stay overall.

The family-room has a bad view..there isn't a balcony... breakfast is OK but could be better...very expensive hotel for what you get!The beach is very nice near the hotel..

Our 4 day vacation at the Grand Hotel Elba International was terrific. The location is exceptional on this island. located across from Porto Azzuro. The Grand Hotel Elba is a slightly older hotel, but very well kept up, it has a small but very nice water level beach type area carved out of the cliff. Lots of chairs and umbrellas on the raised platforms over the water. Also has two pools at the Hotel which are very, very nice. Check in was easy and very efficient, with all information needed provided to us. Hotel staff was very nice Especially Romina and Janina at the front desk. helped us out and made some very good suggestions.

Hotellet är en mycket trevlig allergi, vare sig om man reser som par eller som familj. Vi var där, två vuxna och två barn, för en veckas vistelse och är mycket nöjda. Såväl reception, restaurangernas och den övriga personalen var mycket trevliga och hjälpsamma. Perfekt att kunna alternera badandet mellan pool och den egna badanläggningen vid havet (dit man tar en hiss). God mat i restaurangen, såbäl buffén som á la carte. Kuperat område, där även promenader till närbelägna mysiga byar kan vara lite jobbiga. Någon typ av transport är det är bra att ha tillgång till. Å andra sidan kan man ta taxibåt till Porto Azzuro som är en jätte mysig liten by med gott utbud av restauranger och affärer och till Naregno kan man gå. Vyerna från hotellet är magiska, om man bokar juniorsviterna (prisvärda), där våra var belägna mot havet. Vissa delar hotellet känns lite gamla (typ 80-/90-tal), varför en renovering nog ligger inom några år. Bra tennisbana och litet gym finns också och båda fungerar. De närbelägna byarna Caoliveri och Porto Azurro är också väl värda besök också.

Das Hotel wurde Anfang der 1970er Jahre erbaut. Dementsprechend ist der Baustil und teilweise der Komfort. Wir hatten eine Juniorsuite mit Meerblick. Die Größe war in Ordnung. Vor dem Fenster stand ein großer Baum, der den Meerblick beeinträchtigte. Die Rezeption konnte uns aber ein anderes Zimmer geben. Die Mitarbeiter waren immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Durch die erhöhte Lage des Hotels hat man einen sehr schönen Blick. Man erreicht das Meer dennoch relativ schnell durch einen Schrägaufzug. (Man kann auch zu Fuß gehen.) Dort haben nur Hotelgäste Zugang. Zu unserer Zeit (Ende Juni) war immer jede Menge Platz. Man muss sich also nicht um die Liegen/Sonnenschirme streiten. Gestört hat uns nur der Radiosender, der unten an der Bar relativ mit viel Gequassel und Werbung laut lief und obendrein nicht richtig eingestellt war. Das Personal störte sich aber offenbar nicht daran. Wenn man nicht unbedingt im sandigen Bereich liegen will, findet man auch Liegeplätze, wo man akustisch nicht gestört wird. Ohrstöpsel oder eigene Kopfhörer tun's auch. Man kann ein Schiffstaxi rufen, das einen vom Strand direkt gegenüber nach Porto Azzurro bringt. Auf Höhe der 1. Hoteletage gibt es noch einen Pool, der allgemein weniger genutzt wurde, aber auch sehr schön liegt. Der Meerzugang ist eben noch attraktiver.

We loved everything about this hotel a bit removed from the crowds but this is what we were looking for

Hotel mit herrlicher Sicht auf Porto Azzurro. Zimmer sauber, aber nicht allzu groß. Trotz der Größe des Hotels relativ ruhig. Der Service im Restaurant ist für ein angebliches 4* Haus manchmal etwas unkoordiniert. Das Essen Okay.

Wir wurden überrascht mit einem upgrade des Zimmers. Anstelle superior mit Meersicht bekamen wir eine Juniorsuite mit grosser Terrasse mit toller Sicht auf das Meer. Wir buchten die letzten beiden Wochen der Saison. Die erste Woche alles ok bei mittelmässiger Belegung. Die letzte Woche war dann fast zu ruhig. Speisesaal normal für bis 200 Personen, jetzt noch etwas über 10. Allerdings würde ich das Hotel nicht bei Vollbelegung empfehlen. Dann könnte es sehr laut werden. Sehr aufmerksames Personal.

We stayed at the beginning of October. The hotel is very comfortable and situated in an excellent place with a wonderful view to Porto Azurro, the sea and the island. All services and facilities are excellent. The staff is always focused to help you.

Hyvä hotelli, hotellin oma uimaranta ei sovellu perheen pienimmille. Uima-altaat ok. Itse oltiin lasten kanssa saaren muilla uimarannoilla.

Nettes Hotelteam und guter Service! Der Strand ist superschnell zu erreichen und ein Taxiboot fährt direkt von der Hotelbucht nach Porto Azzurro auf die andere Seite des Meeres. Frühstück war vielfältig und das Abendessen sehr lecker!

The property is well-maintained and in a good location, but the interior of the hotel feels dated and needs updating/refreshing.

Für ein 4 Sterne hotel erwarte ich etwas anderes. Service nicht gut zum Strand fährt ein aufzug, falls der in Betrieb ist. Sonne ist nur bis mittag am strand. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig (spinnweben, Tischdecke und am bueffet dreckig) Pools sind eiskalt

Great find but was a hike to get anywhere. Views from the room were nice and rooms were very clean and spacious. A bit noisy at times but staff was friendly and helpfull. Overall would recommend if looking for a nice semi remote location on the island.

Fint hotell med högt läge och utsikt. Behöver bil för att komma till närliggande orter. Egen fin strand/bad med restaurang, bar samt service. Hiss ner till stranden, vilket är bra för rörelsehindrade.

Bon hotel, accès à la mer, 2 piscines, panorama magnifique, chambres propres, buffet petit déjeuner impeccable. Il mériterait cependant d'être rénové (moquette, peinture, mobilier...)

Wotif moved us from a hotel we preferred to this hotel (other being renovated). We were a bit concerned as the nature of the Elba International looked to hotel-ish and not enough Elba style. And that is true, but it is very comfortable especially if you get a room with a view to Port Azzurro. From the other side, there is no view. That is what we were given and we were not happy to start with. But given the general facility of the hotel, the excellent staff, the fabulous views from the public areas, the private beach, the excellent breakfasts, we ended up being very pleased with the hotel.

We'd booked a junior suite with a sea view. The room was very large and very comfortable. The sea view was spectacular! Breakfast was great - the pool was wonderful and the beach area was fine with crystal clear water. We took a water taxi over to nearby Porto Azzuro twice for dinner and that was a fabulous experience. Very highly recommended.

The staff are very friendly. Hotel is clean and well positioned with fantastic views. The pool area is lovely. Excellent snack bar, pricey drinks. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The hotel itself needs a facelift. It's very dated and the interiors need modernising and sprucing up with new furnishings etc. It would be a good idea to offer tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We had a very pleasant stay.

Nice location. Nice pool. Hotel was fine. Staff were fine. The island itself is beautiful. However, if you're a North American, you are looked at with suspicion. We did not find the people very friendly. That could have been a function of the time of year (very busy in August) and the bulk of the persons on the island being surly Eurotrash tourists from Germany and mainland Italy. Overall, allocate your time to other places in Italy and not Elba.

The Hotel was great, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and the private bay was fantastic. We loved our stay here and were surprised on our anniversary with a bottle of bubbly and flowers. We loved the whole experience.

We stayed 3 nights at Grand Hotel Elba International. A resort hotel, with private beach (not really a beach in North American sense, but with sun chairs and towels included) and 2 swimming pools. Service great. Hotel is well kept, but shows its age. Normally open May to Sep/Oct timeframe. Great breakfast. We ate great dinners there as well (added to room bill). A few km from Porto Azzurro and Capoliveri. Rio Marina and Cavo are closest ferries to Piombino.
