We went to Myrion with my spouse and my 70-year-old parents for a week vacation. Hotel is very modern, clean and has a beatiful pool area. Hotel also has some very pleasant scent we couldn't figure out where it came from. It was the first thing we noticed when we arrived at the lobby, and the same smell is all over the hotel's inside areas. I don't know how other guests feel about it, but we absolutely loved it! Breakfast and dinner were good and had a lot variety. I specially loved that there was a lot of healthy choices; different kind of salads, vegetables and fruits available. The only downside at breakfast was tea selection: there was none. I myself don't drink bagged tea, I only drink quality loose leaf tea, which was not in this hotel's selection. However, I was not surprised by this, since I am aware Greece is not a "tea drinking country". But it would have been nice to get quality tea in a quality establishment. Hotel's beach was small rock beach mixed with sand. Seawater looked clean, but unfortunately there was strong waves few days when we would have time to go swimming, so we couldn't really test this. Service in this hotel is excellent and the staff is very helpful. For example, we asked for car rental option from the reception and they gave us the choices of car selection, then made the the call to the rental company they are in cooperation with. The car was brought to the hotel the next day and returned the same way. This was very convenient, thank you for that! The gym at the hotel is very small, I would not go exercise with more than two or max three people at the same time. There were two treadmills, but neither of them worked properly two times i went to the gym. I couldn't figure out where the problem was and there was no staff at the spa reception at that time. Overall we were very pleased of our stay in Myrion. This was no doubt one of the best hotel's I have ever stayed. Thank you! And please, don't ever give up on the scent you have in your hotel :) I miss it already.
Excellent room and service . Expensive drinks . Sunday DJ on a bit of an ego trip and excessively loud , noise cancelling headphones probably wouldn’t solve the problem . If I’d booked a room around the pool I’d have been complaining rather more - he needs to be brought into line
A wonderful stay, 5 stars for Chef, but the day of departure ruined everything. Forced check out, with clothes and suitcases taken out of the room while we were enjoying our last cocktail. This way of treating customers makes us never come back! We could not imagine this rude way of treating customers. Shame!
Doch will man die Anlage ohnehin ungern verlassen.
The Myrion Beach Resort really is very special, the service, decor, ambience, hotel grounds are all exceptional. On our arrival we were greeted by charming members of staff, in fact everyone working at this hotel were friendly and very hard working. They were always happy to see us and are a huge asset to the hotel. We were only booked in as B&B however the first night we had our evening meal in the hotel and found the food to be of a very high standard with so many choices. All the food was so fresh, tasty and delicious we ended up eating in the hotel for most of our stay. We (3 adults) had a 14 night stay in one of the Grand Superior Double hotel rooms which was ideal and spacious. There was never any problem getting our 3 sun loungers together either by the pool or on the beach whatever time we went down. We could not find any fault with this hotel and will certainly be recommending this to our friends. Hopefully we will be returning as this was just perfect, we have had a wonderful holiday.
Beautiful relaxing hotel. From the minute you arrive your given a special welcome. Rooms are well equipped, modern and spotless, as is everywhere in the hotel and all the grounds. We had a swim up pool but also enjoyed the main pool and beach. Plenty of sunbeds around pool and on the beach. Food was excellent and always had a varied choice. Staff in restaurant really friendly as were all the staff where ever you went. They all were genuinely so happy to help as was the manager who was always visible and there for both guests and staff. Such a happy team makes a very happy stay. Grounds were kept beautifully as was the pool area. Good location for trips out to see the island which is beautiful. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, so couldn't be anymore convenient. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so wonderful. We needed a relaxing break and got that and more. See you all again next year.
Superb resort and great hospitality. A real pleasure and enjoyment! Also within easy reach of national roads to explore by car beautiful Crete.
From the moment we checked in it was brilliant , we were offered water / Prosecco while also being given a quick tour of the hotel while our bags were loaded onto a golf buggy to be transferred to our room . This hotel was booked as part of my partners birthday present and we got an upgraded to a split level junior suite with pool / sea view which was unbelievable!!! The breakfast is excellent and the sun longer situation is the best I’ve had at a hotel no matter what time you go to the pool there are always free loungers . The outdoor gym has everything you need and the pool bar in the evening is bliss . The only downside is the busses but that’s not on the hotel these seem to turn up whenever they want and can have you waiting a while . The best hotel we have stayed in and will definitely be back!!!!
We are just leaving this lovely hotel . Can't really fault the place, quiet, very clean and well maintained. No sun bed wars, lovely friendly staff. The pool bar is great, and you can order from sunbeds. The sunbeds have huge cushions so very comfortable. We were here on a B&B basis, and we had a good choice for breakfast. We ate in the al a carte restaurant on our last night, fantastic food, and can recommend the octopus and Lamb, the wife had sea bass which was also delicious. The room was very nice, with good air conditioning and a comfortable bed. Only small gripe was lack of wardrobe space and hangers. There is a drawer under the mirror, which means the wife could not sit herself by the mirror to do makeup. Would I stay again, definitely. Loved the hotel and all the staff very pleasant and courteous.
Extremely professional and kind staff team with spacious and comfortable room. Facilities clean and sustainable and convenient to pool and beach services. We’ve also use the SPA facilities and treatment was great and staff very welcoming
Great hotel for Adults. Rooms absolutely spotless. Just a couple of improvements could make this as close to perfection, Breakfast absolutely superb with a wide varied choice of. The only thing we found is the coffee was always lukewarm. Also porridge lukewarm. Mini bar in room had only water , it would be nice to have a better choice without the hassle of room service. The hotel is a little far out, so if you wanted to experience different restaurants etc, then I would highly recommend a car. Pool and sunbathing area 5* and a shout out to the lady life guard she’s so friendly and helpful. Reception are friendly however when we asked at the start of our holiday for a late check out they advised the only way we could secure this was to pay €250. The alternative was to wait until the day of departure. When we enquired on the day of departure they said a late check out was €250. When I explained the above they called us back and we paid €100 for 5 hours.
A wonderful hotel with very helpful, friendly staff. The food at both breakfast and dinner is delicious, with a wide choice. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool and on the beach. There are music programmes at the pool in the evenings. We rented a private pool room which was absolutely worth it, very pleasant after a hot day. Everything was perfect.
We stayed for about a week at the beginning of August. Overall, the stay was pleasant and the property was beautiful. However, there were a few areas of service, design, and experience that could be improved. We let the hotel know we would be arriving late (midnight) and they very thoughtfully had a snack and bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. Definitely a much appreciated detail. The core of the property is absolutely beautiful, from the approach down to the pool area and then the great lawn before you get to the beach. It does feel like they have a lot of underutilized space. Even some furniture or really anything on the various patio levels coming down from main building would be good. It just feels very empty in certain spaces. The room itself was fine but felt designed by someone who has never stayed in a hotel. It was clean and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. One of the biggest issues is that there’s no counter in the bathroom area so there’s no area for a person let alone two to put toiletries. The shower is poorly designed such that the entire bathroom floods when you shower. It doesn’t seem to be a drainage issue, but instead grading. You have to use a towel to keep the water from getting into the room, so then you end up with a soaking wet towel. There's also not anywhere to hang more than one towel. There’s a towel hook next to the shower, but if you’re more than one person, we had to rig up one of the hangers in the closet to hang the other towel. Housekeeping was great every day, promptly cleaning while we were out. We normally wouldn’t have the room serviced every day on vacation, but were kind of forced to due to the shower situation and the lack of places to hang towels. The room felt like a regular hotel room, fine, but nothing special. We were at least facing the pool side of the hotel. I can’t imagine how miserable it would be to be facing out of the property. One downside was that the grounds crew liked to have their morning chat/cigarette right outside our window, waking us up on the one morning we wanted to sleep in as they hung out there from about 7AM-8AM. We also originally debated getting the next level room, but are glad we didn’t. It seems that the ground level rooms in the first two buildings facing in are some of the better rooms. The more expensive rooms with the long shared pool are overlooked by the main pool area, so we noticed none of those rooms even really used their private pool much. Just something to know if you’re considering booking that for privacy. Service: back to that bottle of wine we were very nicely gifted, we didn’t finish it the first night, so the next day we called and asked for fresh glasses. They said it would be a room service charge if they brought us clean glasses (have never encountered this before) but that we could go ask at the pool bar. One person at the pool bar said they’re not supposed to give out glasses, but they could give out plastic cups. Another person said they’d “make an exception.” It’s just very little details like these that should be easily manageable and not an issue that dragged down the quality of the property a little. Most properties at this level would have just brought the glasses the first time no questions asked. Ambiance: when we arrived on Saturday night, we expected at least a little activity in the lobby. Part of the reason to stay at a resort rather than a rental is for the vibe. The lobby was an absolute ghost town, beautiful, but a ghost town. It also seemed a bit odd that the lobby bar was closed at that time, in fact we never saw it open. There also seemed to be next to no one on the property. Yes it was around midnight, but it was a Saturday night. Maybe at least a little music in the lobby would give it a slight vibe. We walked through again the next day at 7pm and it was the same and again on our last full day before going to dinner and same thing. Pool: The pool area was nice. We were usually able to find two chairs, but there were a couple days that there was no space. This was due in large part to people seemingly leaving their towels or belongings and going off to do other things. The pool towels are on lockdown, again something I see as the sign of a lower grade hotel. You get them from the lifeguard, so the one day the lifeguard wasn’t there, it was self serve and when they were out, they were out. There was also inconsisentcy in terms of if there was someone there to hand out towels, they’d ask your room number; they’d sometimes ask your room number when you return; if no one was there, people would just walk up and take them from the lifeguard stand or throw them in the bucket to return, so it didn’t seem to make any sense to keep track of the room number. Parking: we did not have an issue parking at the resort. We were very happy to have a car because it felt like you really needed one given the location to be able to fully enjoy the area. It seems like the originally intended parking is along one side of the resort, but that filled up by the evening, so you drive down to another little annex. Again, just a detail, but didn’t really fit with the caliber of hotel. There is a guard house that has to open the gate to enter the property and to exit on the other side. You just pull up and wait. We were never really sure of the correct procedure, and no one ever told us. On our FIFTH day, the guard flagged us down for the first time during our stay after letting us in, to ask our room number, which we gave him. He then FOLLOWED US AROUND THE BUILDING to the parking lot and just watched us. Very off putting. If you’re supposed to stop and provide your room number every time you enter (which would be inconvenient), they should at least tell you this at some point. Or maybe just have it so you buzz yourself in with your key, or issue parking passes. A few hours later when we returned from dinner in the evening, the same guard stopped us, asked our room number, which we gave him, and asked if we were checking in, in that order. The next day, when we came back from our activity during the day, a different guard let us in, came out of the guardhouse, but then waved us on without asking anything. So we’re still not clear on what exactly you’re supposed to do. It’s just that little lack of consistency and clarity that you don’t really want to deal with on vacation. The gym: I generally try to seek out a hotel like this with a gym. If that’s important to you, this one will be just adequate, but not great. The indoor gym itself along with the spa is in the basement of one of the buildings. You have this beautiful property and then go into a depressing basement for the spa and gym. There were two treadmills (of not great quality) and one elliptical, single cable station, a single adjustable bench and a set of free weights up to 25kg. I was able to get in a few workouts, but once more than two people are in the gym it’s definitely a bit crowded. It would also be great to have a TV or at least a mirror in front of the treadmills so you’re not staring at the wall. The spa attendant confirmed the gym is 24 hours but there’s conflicting information in the hotel’s own materials. On our second day we discovered an outdoor gym area behind the pool bar (would’ve been nice to have been informed about this in some way). It’s a great idea but again poorly executed. They need more equipment because the way it’s arranged if there are multiple people, you’re constantly in each other's way. They should have an attendant, too, or at the very least water along with towels. Beach: the beach area could definitely use some work to make it a bit nicer. It was fine, but again seemed like a bit of an afterthought. Most of the issues seem easily fixable, matters of design and training. The actual property did at least seem nicer than other properties in this general area. I would still recommend but with a lot of caveats.
Everything was wonderful. Food, staff, sea, swimming pool!
This is one of the best Adults only resort I have visited. Great atmosphere, positive vibes for the ultimate relaxation. The pool area was super cool & cozy. The room was spacious, modern, luxurious with all the amenities needed. Not to mention the great housekeeping service. Food was great also. The staff were professionals but friendly and accommodating. Will come back for sure.
Fantastisk avslappnings resa!
The hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and suoer helpful. Had to change our room after the 1st as there was a strange smell but the hotel staff were super helpful in the change whilst we enjoyed the pool. The food was amazing hats off to the chef and his staff and the wait staff. The cleaning lady was super sweet and left our room spotless everyday. The Spa and gym facilites were great and the treatments were reasonably priced. All in all a great saty only spoilt on the last night when some mad drunk women spent the best part of 30 mins screaming and shouting thru the corridor at 2am. Was too tired and relaxed from my massage earlier on in the day to complain. But would highly recommend this place if your looking for somewhere to relax and unwind. Would defo come back but for longer next time maybe 10 days.
Accueil exceptionnel !
Stunning, adults only ,new hotel ! rooms are spacious and super clean , beach and pool great and staff very friendly and accomodating
Great hotel! Very warm welcome when arriving. Rooms are clean and the AC is incredible! It was so refreshing to come back to room after being on the pool! Also minibar on the room is great to have as you can have own drinks there. Rooms are modern and pretty quiet. Cleaning is good. Pool area and beach is great and there was enough sunbeds for everyone. Pool restaurant was also superb and prices were ok. Tried it once also as evenings dinner place and would recommend! Location is little bit far from Platanias but the bus connection is nearby / taxi was 15e per way.
Amazing resort! Had great experience, while our stay in Chania. Great staff! Pool and beach area was such a vibe. We also used spa treatments and had great time. Overall definitely a 5 star.
You have certain expectations when you're paying for top services, not instant Nescafe sachets in the bedroom. We had half-board vouchers, which clearly state LUNCH OR DINNER. Apparently, there's no option to choose, you're forced to have dinner, with no possibility of change. They treat you with indifference and openly make you feel stupid, saying “no, it's not possible, it's the hotel policy.” The a la carte lunch at the restaurant is a bad joke. There's no tzatziki on the menu, and they can't even make it, even though we're in Greece!!! The Greek salad is horrifying: three tiny cubes of cheese that is definitely not authentic feta. The bao buns? Three pieces, each with a single tiny shrimp. Gyros? You can make it way better at home! About 50 grams of meat, some thawed-out fries, and a dry pita. The so-called “tzatziki” sauce on the side has nothing to do with the real thing. I'm deeply disappointed I've never encountered such poor service and quality at a 5-star hotel anywhere in Europe. Breakfast has been the only good thing so far. Also worth mentioning: the city tax is €15 per night. I do not recommend this hotel, and the man at the reception who keeps smiling while everything is “impossible to solve” is just openly rude. One more thing worth mentioning: our friends received a welcome gift in their room, wine and fruit which turned out not to be for them. Someone just came in and took it back, saying it wasn’t meant for them. Absolutely ridiculous. We didn’t receive any welcome drink, no prosecco, no champagne, not even a glass of water. Shameful! P.S.: I needed a simple painkiller. I asked during breakfast, and the lady there told me to ask at the reception, she said they would definitely give me one. Once again, the man with white hair said absolutely not, they won’t give me anything. I told him clearly it was just a basic over-the-counter medication, nothing that requires a prescription. I even said I take full responsibility for taking it. His answer? Still no. Even after I clearly said I take full responsibility, that I have no allergies or any other issues.
If you're looking for a quiet, adult-only up-market hotel, the Myrion could be your answer. Our stay was quiet, comfortable & relaxing (just what we were looking for) & we made good use of the sunbeds (included) by the pool & the beach. Buffet breakfast was very good however we can't comment on the restaurant food (it looked very nice however we elected to have our evening meals in the local area inc. Chania - easily reached by the inexpensive & regular local bus). The grounds were immaculately kept / well presented & the beach kept clean / free from any litter. Staff were very friendly / helpful & should be complimented on their professionalism. The Resort & Spa has only been open for 4 yrs so we put some of the early poor-reviews down to the inevitable learning curve that happens when any hotel opens. Overall we had a great stay & would highly recommend to friends & family
Third time here and this place never disappoints. Beautiful hotel, spotless throughout. Great staff and facilities. Make use of the app and you don’t need to leave your sunlounger for drinks or snacks. There’s a few local restaurants nearby with Bosa Nova standing out as the best in my opinion. The hotel is located on the beach the sunsets are amazing.
Built 5 years ago, very nice, modern hotel with a good atmosphere, the staff is very nice, the room was excellent, high quality food great dessert chef. There is a high level of cleanliness and the garden care is fantastic. The pool is 33 meters long, so there is never any congestion in the pool, you can rest assured that you will not be disappointed. My wife and I will be back next summer.Thx Manolis
Beautiful hotel and staff was super helpful- we had to checkout super early and wouldn't have made breakfast in time so they made us breakfast boxes to-go which was super thoughtful!
Lovely hotel, great breakfast, very clean. We had a great time and would highly recommend!
Just returned after 7 nights B&B at this wonderful resort and can’t recommend enough… Travelled with friends as well and we were upgraded complimentary to a swim up room upon check-in - a fantastic start ☺️ All facilities are top class including service in all aspects. Breakfast fantastic as well - high quality and presentation every morning. The resort is located approx 5-8 min from Platanias which easily can be reached via bus stop just outside main entrance (EUR 2 / person each way) or Taxi (EUR 12 each way) One of the last days one of our friends had a medical issue which was handled top professional by the staff and management - THANK YOU once again 👍👍 We will definitely come back and book Myrion Resort next time we choose Chania as destination and can only recommend you to do the same - Don’t hesitate one second ! PS: Sign up to become a member of Myrions customer club - it’s free and gives you a decent discount on rooms - Discount on spa treatments and return transfer to and from Chania Airport.
Amazing stay, couldn’t fault the hotel. Friendly and attentive staff, couldn’t do enough for you
The hotel boasts beautiful modern architecture and is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach—definitely a highlight. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. From check-in to check-out, the staff felt cold and impersonal. There was no warmth or recognition during the stay, which is not what you'd expect from a luxury hotel. The spa, which was a major reason we booked, was underwhelming. It was far too small for the number of guests, and the temperature inside was uncomfortably cold—hardly the relaxing experience you'd hope for. Overall, it felt like an afterthought rather than the centerpiece of a 5-star spa experience. Additionally, the room’s pillows were clearly past their prime—flat and uncomfortable. Details like this really matter at this level, and unfortunately, they just didn’t deliver. Would I return? Probably not. This hotel has potential, but it misses the mark in too many key areas.
Stayed in this hotel for a one week holiday with my family and there is absolutely any bad things to say about it. For us, this hotel was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Personel were very friendly and professional. The cleanliness, service and food where all amazing. Everything (pool, beach, rooms and restaurant) where within good distance. The overall athmosphere was beatufull and relaxing. We highly recoment this hotel.
A modern, very clean hotel. Access available for all as there are ramps and lifts and side access points. Ideal for those wanting to just get away from it all and relax for a few days. Refreshments are available on site but this complex is not designed for serious drinkers. A refreshment with lunch is available, though I would urge guests to get out to other local establishments for that more traditional Cretan feel and welcome when chasing a serious drink as well as eating out on an evening. There are plenty restaurants in easy walking distance. Rooms cleaned daily and all staff are polite. My wife liked the manager very much but I felt he liked me more 😎. Beautiful Spa area and gym inside and outide. as well as small indoor pool. One large swimming pool which looked amazing but is not heated so I was not trying it out myself this time of year despite our luck with excellent weather. Beach is simply nature’s production, made up of course sand and pebble. This is not man made Dubai, it’s natures very own creation and I enjoyed watching the swifts chasing insects, the butterflies dancing, large beetles buzzing by, lots of ladybirds, the waves gently breaking, as well as watching the odd military exercise and occasional top gun pilot just showing off. Breakfast - no complaint. Hit and cold - it’s all on offer. Buffet meal - no complaint. If we visited again I would not include this preferring our nights out and a few days eating outside the resort. Ala carte restaurant (extra charge)- we did not sample so no comment. Criticism is that the lobby bar was not open on our visit. What a shame as it’s a beautiful area in the hotel , simply wasted and would create more buzz I feel. It’s just lacking a bit of buzz. Nit too much buzz, just a bit more buzz. Lobby bars are meeting places, mixing places, passing points, drop in points. This hotel lacks that single attribute. Bus stops right outside for Platanias and Chania or top road to Kolimvari. 8 euro return to Chania. Good transport but hold out your hand or he’ll be gone just as anywhere else in the world and it’s not always clear as some coaches double as busses. Flag them all! The Grand canyon tour on the little fun train is well worth the money and lasts 3.5 hours and only 22 euros. Our friends said the other trip taking in the brewery was very good too. The seven villages needs something more but it’s a couple hours to see the area I suppose but not as good. Taxi is quite expensive. 12 euro to Platanias compared to 4 euro for a couple on the bus which is equally as quick and often as convenient. But there’s times you need a taxi and they are very nice taxis . We caught a bus to Kolimvari and walked to the monastery. It’s only 1km and very pleasant but I understand a little train might go there as well. Beautifully kept ancient buildings and excellent museum in the crypt. Monastery access 3 euro entry. Then a nice bite to eat and a couple of beers near the new harbour was very relaxing before catching the bus back. Hope this review helps but as far as Myrion Beach?……what’s not to like. Ian & Julie
Just spent a week here. Amazing! Professional but very friendly staff. Clean, modern and stunning adults only hotel. Rooms are clean and well designed. Food is of high quality. Direct access to the beach where one can order drinks to your sun lounger via an App. Extra shout out to the staff at the A' la cart restaurant and bar by the pool in the evenings. Always special service and laughs. The overall location is just far enough from Platanias town that it feels "off" and relaxing. I am already thinking of returning next year. If i have to find a fault - it's a tiny one; the cool trendy lighting in the room wasn't bright enough for an old guy like me to shave in the "bathroom" mirror :) 10/10 for the location, hotel, staff, service, food/drinks, garden and beach. Oh and there's a gym, spa and paddle court.
Newly built in high standard with great staff and location just by the sea. Only downside is the beach with more stones than sand but the turtles love it and that is an experience to learn about their life! Poolside daytime is magical and very calm!
We arrived and were offered a glass of prosecco which was a nice gesture, room was fine not huge but adequate, hit and miss on items being replenished in the room but helpful staff when you asked for things. Breakfast not very relaxing items not restocked was waiting for bread to toast. not able to sit outside and where you could sit was debatable. Evening meal a different experience relaxing and a varied choice of dishes. Cats are welcome additions. Used spa for massage, staff friendly and massage good. A good 15/20 minute walk to bus stop, be good idea for bus stop outside hotel to run for whole season. Some music in the evening restaurant area would be nice Sunbeds on beach with parasols. Trips from Kissam9s port available to Balos beach and Gramvousa a nice day out.
Nothing around, dark and many homeless malnourished dogs and cats.
This was my fifth trip to Crete, and Myrion Beach & Spa Hotel truly exceeded all expectations! The atmosphere was serene, and the hotel’s beautiful low-rise, modern design retained an authentic Greek/Cretan charm. We stayed in a split-level junior suite that was immaculate and well-designed. The large infinity pool was a highlight, with a great mix of Ibiza chill-out tunes during the day and funky jazz in the evening, creating the perfect vibe. The poolside DJ sets were subtle and added to the relaxing ambiance. Dining was a standout, especially at the Greek à la carte restaurant, where both the food and evening music were superb. The electric violinist with a blend of classical and dance music made for memorable entertainment. The staff were wonderful—special thanks to Elena at reception, Despina the pool lifeguard, Theodora at the restaurant, and the many lovely Maria’s who made our stay so welcoming. Overall, Myrion Beach & Spa Hotel offered a luxurious, relaxing experience with top-tier service and stunning facilities. I will definitely be returning!
Booked Myrion beach resort for my birthday, and it did not disappoint. Wonderful, stunning hotel! We arrived late due to flight delays, however check in was speedy and we were shown to our rooms. We had superior double rooms facing the pool which was a lovely view of the garden, pool and sea. The rooms were modern and clean, nice big shower and balcony. The bed was so comfy we didn’t want to get out of it! Toiletries and tea, coffee making facilities in the room. We had room 3201 which faced sunrise and the room had glorious sun all day. We loved the pool scene, and the DJ that was playing music in the afternoon. In the evening it was lovely sitting by the pool listening to the waves, fantastic cocktails (pina colada was lush). We were B&B at the hotel, breakfast was very nice, good variety of cooked food from eggs all ways, cheese, meats, potatoes, veg, breads, pastries, cakes, fruit and cereals. The iced lattes were also delicious! The hotel is very clean and modern, we loved the cabanas by the pool, and the gardens were beautiful. The beach is long, with stone and sand, great for a long walk in the evening. I fell in love with the two black cats in the hotel, they are so friendly and love a cuddle, made our holiday having them around. All the staff are friendly and chatty, always smiling. Pool bar food was delicious, and good price. The location of the hotel was great, nice and quiet, we loved coming back to it after a days exploring. Bus stop just up the road from the hotel, there is a stop outside the hotel, but due to end of season no bus was running, you have to walk to the main road to catch a bus. €2 euros each way, takes you to Chania with stops on the way. A couple of local shops by hotel, which stock everything you need, and some fantastic restaurants down the road, Proimos being our favourite.
A uniquely peaceful, stylish and beautiful hotel, with superb pool and beach! Immaculately clean, tranquil and relaxing, the design inside and out is gorgeous, food is great quality and service very good. Easy to reach Chania by bus, and to be collected for excursions, for example Balos and Gramvousa by coach and ferry was fantastic.
Sehr guter Empfang! Service super. Frühstück sehr gut. Meer vor der Türe! Toller Pool. Poolbar etwas teuer. Alles in allem, ein schönes Hotel!
We recently stayed at Myrion for 10 nights, and we absolutely loved our time there! The hotel itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and a relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, and the staff was always friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the best parts about the location is the convenience—there's a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you directly to Platanias in just 10 minutes, which made getting around super easy. The only downside during our stay was the long wait time for food at the hotel restaurant. We had two meals there, and while the food was good, it did take quite a while to be served. Because of that, we chose to eat out in Platanias for most of the other nights, where we found some great dining options. Overall, we had a wonderful time at Myrion and would definitely recommend it for a relaxing vacation.
This five star hotel is fairly new, hidden away from noise , cars and traffic. Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and, It has an excellent menu choice, breakfast , bars and a lovely pool area... just minutes from the sea....I specifically want to note that it s for adults only....not that it s a nude resort, but if skinny dipping is your thing, maybe you can ask for a private room...one that s 1 minute from the beach..and voila, away you go!
Amazing stay. We definetly recommend it.
We book our stay at Myrion for our second trip to Crete. The stay has been absolutely amazing. Room: Our room with swim-up pool was located with a direct view to the big pool area and the pool bar. Leaving us with both privacy but also a sense of belonging and atmosphere. Our room was equipped with everything we needed. Only downside is the glass door to the toilet not separated from the room as this can become problematic for more private people or new couples ;-) Food: The morning and dinner buffet was amazing. We have visited buffet restaurants before at other hotels that cannot compete with this standard! There is a large variety but keeping it close to the Greek kitchen. Which we prefer when travelling to Greece. In the dressert buffet you find both sugar free and vegan options. Wow😍 Facilities: I have used the treadmill every morning doing my stay. No they are not the newest of all times but works ok! the gym is small but fits for 2/3 people working out at the same time. Only feedback would be one bench more. Moreover there is a paddle court you can rent. Works great. Price is 25 euros. People/staff: Again. Only positive words to say. Everyone are welcoming and kind. The staff in the restaurant are polite and do pleasant small talk. Everyone have made us feel very welcome at Myrion. The cleaning of the rooms from the cleaning staff has everyday been 10/10. We will leave crete with the problem to find a hotel that can match the standard at this price 😉 We will be back! Hope this will be soon ❤️ Mathias and Astrid, DK
Toller Pool, sehr gepflegte Anlage. Freundliches Personal.
We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was fabulous and well situated.
The contemporary design of the rooms and hotel is so beautiful. The gluten free dining options were limited which I did not appreciate, as they ask you for your fietary restrictions beforehand. The property is beautiful and large, it made sraying there for an entire day quite easy. They had water aerobics in the pool and I especially loved the sunbeds in the pool to stay cool. It is a bit farther from the city centre which makes cab rides a bit more expensive but there is also a bus stop right outside of the hotel.
Great quality breakfast
Good property with beach side and excellent pool. Lacks in room service. Also the bathrooms are very small.
We staid at the hotel for 9 days. The hotel was all in all very nice but I would not say that it is a 5 star hotel, rather a 4 star or 3 . The staff was very kind and friendly and the service very good. Breakfast was ok with many options but they could have offered more fresh fruits, not the ones from cans, and they could have offered different variants of bread, not always the same. Also the jam and the cereal were of very bad quality. The dinner was very good and they had like different themes for every night, ones Greek, ones Italian, ones Asian... so very nice! The desserts were also very good! What we really disliked is that there were wild cats and dogs running around the dining area and were jumping up the chairs to try to get some food! This is really unacceptable and they should really do something about this problem and have these animals removed! The fitness room was very small and the equipment was outdated! Also the opening hours were not good as the fitness room did not open until 9 AM. Therefore, as the breakfast was only served until 10 AM, it was impossible to go to the gym before breakfast. The room was spacious with a large balcony but the cleaning of the room was not good as there was still sand and dust on the floor. The area of the hotel (Gerani) is very empty with only two bars in the neighborhood but it was easy to take a cap to the next larger village (Platanias) were you could find clubs, restaurants, bars and shops. Pool and beach were excellent!
Stayed a week at this beautiful luxurious hotel. Asked to change room as it didn’t match the booking spec (no sofabed), sorted helpfully and quickly by exceptionally good staff (Yanis & Elena). Great pool area and near to the beach. A bit off the beaten track but enough facilities nearby – supermarket, car hire, tavernas. Easy to catch a cheap and frequent bus from Gerani to Chania. Food was outstanding, both for breakfast and in the a la carte restaurant by the pool. The charming Manager (Manolis) makes sure everything runs smoothly. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful resort, great pool and grounds, great breakfast and rooms very contemporary.
