Reviewed Sep 17, 2026This was an imposing property with nice grounds in a quiet location only 10 minutes from the centre of town. The room was comfortable with a large bed.
The room 106 was noisy being situated right over the kitchen where the extractor fan stayed on until after service finished. The doors squeaked loudly on the nearby bedrooms. There were no tea and coffee making facilités and no kettle.

Poor quality towels and the bed had a rubber lined mattress cover which made it very hot. The Orangerie (where our bedroom was) was very tired looking with old furniture. The extractor fan did not work in the bathroom. The breakfast was satisfactory only.

Our room was fairly basic and lacking the character of the hotel as a whole. However it was quiet, comfortable and clean.

We stayed in the bungalows. First impression we got was a bin outside that looked like it hasn't been emptied for quite a while. The bungalows themselves were okay but you could use some love and a deep cleaning. What we found most disappointing was that there was no usage of the beautiful garden area. No flowers, no benches to sit outside and look at the Chateau, nothing. The breakfast was not good. When I sleep at a Chateau I at least expect some eggs, fresh juice and a good coffee machine. Also the disappointment by the breakfast we could see in the other people's faces as well. Sad that the potential is not used

La propreté de la chambre. Beaucoup de poussière notamment au plafond. Arrivé dans la salle de bain, deux araignées dans la baignoire. Une au plafond avec des toiles d'araignée. C'est dommage parce qu'on a été bien accueilli, la femme de chambre était très gentille mais la propreté de la chambre n'était vraiment pas top

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026Die Lage der Zimmer im Schlossgarten mit den PKW-Stellplätzen direkt vor der Tür ist sehr praktisch. Zimmer war sauber, groß und die Klimaanlage hat für gute Kühlung gesorgt. Das Frühstück im EG des Chateau war sehr gut. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

The food the restaurant was disappointing & a bit pricey. There were some aspects of the chateaux that felt a bit run-down, with litter around the parking area at the front. Also, no hotel bar - evening drinks before dinner would have been nice.

We were in one of the bungalow rooms that appear to have had a make over. However the bathroom had an unpleasant fusty smell. The room hadn't been cleaned very well. Also when they made up the room they didn't wash the cups or replenish the coffee.

Reviewed Jul 16, 2026Das Château hat viel Charme und einen großen Park. Parken direkt vor dem Haus war kein Problem. Super toll ist das Restaurant im ehemaligen Weinkeller, wo es sehr gute französische Küche gibt zu Preisen.
In unserem Zimmer unterm Dach war es bei 32 Grad Außentemperatur etwas stickig. Das Frühstück war nicht sehr gehaltvoll.

The fabric of the building is a little tired, with for example the door handles on the main front door very cheap replacements, and the front door tended to slam (I held it carefully to prevent this). The stairs were most disconcertingly uneven. BUT, all things considered, a lovely building and superb staff.

Wir hatten ein kleines Bungalow gebucht. Es war sehr klein und für den Preis nichts Besonderes. Leider kam dann der große Schock: Als ich mich ins Bett legen wollte, entdeckte ich unter dem Laken zahlreiche tote Silberfische/Papierfische – insgesamt bestimmt 20 Stück. Das war einfach nur ekelhaft und absolut inakzeptabel. Wir haben sofort reklamiert und ein anderes Zimmer bekommen, mussten dafür aber sogar noch draufzahlen, was ich überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen kann. Auch das Ersatz-Zimmer war alt und wenig ansprechend. Für uns war das eine sehr unangenehme Erfahrung. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder und können das Hotel leider nicht empfehlen

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026We love faded grandeur. The massive airy rooms and the confessional on the landing give it a style that’s impossible to reproduce. We stay there most years. The grounds are beautiful.
The food’s a bit basic. Nothing wrong with that. It’s not a gastronomic hotspot.
