We arrived late from our flight and with 5 minutes before the kitchen closed at 9pm we were able to order two lovely burgers. The place is lovely throughout and we had a great stay
Beautiful hotel .. amazing staff Would highly recommend.. very good deals available Would be great to have more brochures about the area local to the hotel..
Was a beautiful place, great food, plesant staff.
Fabulous resort with great amenities and a world-class golf course 2 minutes from your room - what's not to like?
Lovely hotel 🏨 food & cocktails were great
Lovely stay, the room was really nice with a lovely view, food in the Bar was great as well
Great place to stay
Very good overall.. dining was high standard
This place is amazingly comfortable and accommodating. Spa services were top notch.
Very friendly staff.
Very little to say, other than superb. Staff as always amazing. Everything from Check-in to check-out was excellent.
It was a 5 star hotel and it matched the rating . We will return.
Relaxing and friendly atmosphere
Amazing place for a family break in a very high quality hotel. Lots for kids, lovely pool area (perfectly warm), fab grounds, and plenty to do in and around the hotel. Nice coffee spots / restaurants etc
As it was my birthday I ordered breakfast in bed as a special treat, I ticked the box for 10.30- 11.00am for my breakfast and it arrived at 9.40am which was disappointing as we paid enough for this service otherwise we had a very pleasent stay. Regards Fiona Kane( We stayed in Druids Friday 8th November 2019)
Great hotel at full capacity so service very slow on second night for food in bar.
Very well appointed hotel in a stunning location. Staff very welcoming & friendly. Good food in the restaurant. Rooms were immaculate & super comfy beds. Highly recommended very solid 4 star hotel
My wife and I only stayed for one night. Having stayed before we new the experience would once again be excellent- it was and we shall certainly return.
The hotel is modern with a good play room for kids. The pool and sauna/steam rooms are nice but were not available for older kids in the evening. The restaurant staff were great to deal with but I found the reception staff less accommodating (they offer nothing for my daughters 10th birthday which we were celebrating).
The friendly service and the efficiency of the service
This is a beautiful property with well-maintained grounds, friendly staff and excellent parking. If you’re not used to driving narrow, country Irish roads, getting there can be a bit of a challenge but it’s well-worth the effort. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but the awesome staff upgraded us to a suite while we spent time in the bar getting a bite to eat. Our drive to the airport the next day was easy. We plan to have a longer stay next time we visit the Emerald Isle!
This is a very nice find close to Dublin. Staff is amazing. Everyone is super friendly and the food is very good . Loved the bar and especially the breakfasts.Very kid friendly.
Absolutely stunning - facilities, environment & service! Brilliant 👍
gorgeous location, really nice service. we only stayed one night and golfed early the morning of checkout, so we didn't get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked! beautiful room, comfy beds, the large restaurant was serving a lovely brunch when we checked out. the view out our balcony doors was of the golf course, and it was lush and well manicured. will be back, and stay longer next time!
Great service and greact facilities such as the swimming pool (which keeps a lane free for doing lengths so no children in the way!), sauna, steam room and plunge pool, but also a pleasant walk around the edge of the golf course.
Stunning hotel with the best service we have ever experienced. I came to the hotel after a hospitalization and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable and even ran my cell phone to the airport for us when I forgot it! Simply one of the best hotel experiences we have had (and we have a lot!).
Fabulous resort. Great amenities, beautiful location, and excellent food. Wish it encouraged recycling and other eco-responsible measures. I feel as though this is a missed opportunity here.
Staff make a big effort to be helpful and courteous but not over bearing. Would return
I couldn't fault anything, it was fantastic especially for the kids.
Beautiful and extremely comfortable hotel with excellent service. Most comfortable beds.
Second Visit and the front of house team made us feel like old friends, best service we have ever encountered, and we have travelled a lot. Room upgrade was a delightful suprise, happened first visit also, this is very, very good. The whole place is lovely and I would say Druids Glenn has the most welcoming, courteous firndly and professional team we have ever encountered, nothing too much trouble, they are simply very, very nice people, no higher compliment I can think of.
We had a pleasant stay with friendly helpful staff from first arrival in the car park until our departure. Everything catered for. First outing with our new arrival and had no issues with all required amenities. Great food, we ate in the bar and would advise booking early for restaurant reservations.
Really lovely grounds to go for nature trail walks, great staff, service, facilities and perfect for family breaks
We had an amazing stay at Druids Glen. The service was excellent and the surrounding countryside stunning. It was so relaxing. Loved it!
This is a brilliant hotel for a family spa weekend, as it has all the facilities you'd want and is really child friendly. We stayed with our 16 month old and he loved the pool and children's play room. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds as well as making use of the gym, sauna/steam and plunge pool. If we'd had more time we'd certainly have ventured further to explore the Wicklow countryside. Two members of our group had spa treatments which they were very happy with. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious, and we loved the little touches like children toiletries and activity pack. The breakfast selection was really good and we also had a delicious lunch and dinner at the hotel as well. The staff at Druids Glen are extremely friendly and helpful and were all so kind towards our toddler, making our experience thoroughly enjoyable.
Staff went above and beyond, offered little extras like hot towels on arrival and bottled water on departure.
We had originally booked Hugo's but felt it was expensive for a family so we ate in the bar, service and food excellent. However, & only a tiny thing the veggie pasta on Eve menu had 2tiby piece of veg and remainder pasta which was disappointing however, didn't say anything as everything else was flawless. Would be lovely if chairs had higher back for back support overall though have no complaints. We so look forward to going there again ps would it be possible to put in family rooms a super King and a double instead for more comfort? Thank you
very nice place out in the middle of no where. I liked my walk around the property.
Fantastic stay from beginning to end. We travelled down to the hotel end of March 2019- check in was straight forward, we arrived at 9.30pm with two young children and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful in assisting us with our bags etc. The room was large, spotlessly clean. King and a double bed- perfect for a family of four. Breakfast was delicious, (kids eat for free under 12). We made use of the kids games room/free DVDs/ board games/pool and outdoor play area. Bar food was also delicious in the evening. The hotel feels very luxurious and yet it still feels perfect for young families. Well done!
This hotel was definitely 5 star. Very easy to get to. Just south of Dublin. Very friendly, clean. Top drawer service. I don’t golf but went for a walk through the woods. It was beautiful. The flowers were budding, the water was running, the swans were swimming and so were the ducks. Magical. Definitely a must for someone who wants comfort and to get away from it all. This hotel was the last night stay in Ireland and it was wonderfully relaxing.
Great hotel and staff. The hotel grounds have a beautiful walking trail and golf course. The restaurant was excellent and offered scenic views.
Looked like a beautiful resort but we were only there for a few hours as we were a bit far for our early flight out of Dublin and had to leave at 6 am to beat the traffic
Lovely family break. Very child-friendly and great staff
Our stay was only one short night, right before flying home, so we did not get to take advantage of the ammenities. The welcome with warm washcloths at the desk was a nice touch. The room was pricey but very comfortable and spacious. I would have liked to take advantage of the trails and restaurant, if we had more time.
Very comfortable hotel in a superb location. Restaurant very expensive and food mediocre
Loved it! Stunning hotel, would definitely return. Local area is quaint but don't expect a shopping experience. However we were there for a relaxing break so just perfect for what we needed.
Great spot. Will visit again
Lovely pkace. Service top of the range. Kids room good. Coukd do wuth a Halloween party fir the chikdren.. overall very good.
Service second to none. Very child friendly. Food loveky but restaurant always booked out.
Great hotel and service
A great resort from which to explore the local area and take advantage of the onsite facilities. Friendly staff really go the extra mile to make your stay a memorable one. Our family had a great trip and look forward to returning!
Chose Druids again for a two night stay. Great hotel in a beautiful part of Ireland. All aspeçts of this hotel are of the highest stsndard. Staff are always doing their best to make your stay even better. Be sure to have dinner in Hugo's restaurant food is superb.
A few things could be improved: lighting in bathroom, shower cubicle very small. Food was better than expected
Brilliant hotel
Lovely greeting on arrival from concierge. A bit of confusion regarding room booking so we were upgraded to a beautiful suite. Great breakfast and very courteous staff. Good location with lots to do in nearby area. Very satisfying and relaxing break.
Lovely hotel & food. Great service!
Great spot overall. Beautiful scenery, great service and excellent food. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. The baby station was a great addition, having everything you could possibly need.
We had a lovely overnight stay in this fantastic hotel for our first wedding anniversary. The staff on reception made us feel extremely welcome and made it a lovely experience for us. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable night away.
Relaxing experience the food very nice in the hotel
Amazing views, extremely relaxing. The staff are wonderful and atmost curtious. Everything I can dream of was there.
You feel like you have been on holiday when you have stayed at the hotel. Everything is done for you by brilliant staff. Rooms are very comfortable and the fitness facilities are excellent. Will be staying here again!!
Overnight stop very comfortable handy to visit Glendalough, good bar food.
Cannot wait to go back! Beautiful! The staff were very kind.
Great overnight stay with the family. Very friendly staff. Lovely food & lovely breakfast on the terrace.
Great for family stay with kids
It was so amaxing
We have stayed in Druids Glen on several occasions and it has been our 'Go to' destination for a short family break. However, this time (27/12/2017) we were left very disappointed. We arrived at 15:15, so 45 minutes before the guaranteed 16:00 check in time. We were left waiting for over two hours for our room and had to go back reception on 4 separate occasions, on three of those getting what seemed like a rehearsed line of 'the cleaners are in your room right now' from three different people. They did compensate us with a bottle of wine to our room. The following morning we went for a swim at 09:30 and went for breakfast afterwards. I accept that this would have meant we arrived at peak time (and the hotel was very busy) but we were left queuing for over 30 minutes. Quite simply, this shouldn't happen in a 5 star hotel. It looks like we may have to find another family friendly hotel, which is really disappointing.
The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was clean and modern. We booked one night in a suite for a special occasion and dinner. The suite was lovely and was everything we expected. The fine dining however was a nightmare. The staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing. The starter was cold. We waited 2 hours to finally get served our main course only to be served the wrong dish. My husband in the meantime went to the bar next door to get a Guinness as the first pint took at least 30 mins to arrive . The food wasn’t great when it did arrive. It was a bit like Fawlty Towers with an expensive price tag. It didn’t ruin my night but boy do they need to turn things around!!! Maybe it was just a bad night but when you don’t get out together (alone) very often, it was very disappointing.
Didn't live up to expectation. Hotel has quite an institutionalised feel to it, with a bland rectangular building, around a dull court-yard with long dreary corridors. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom was sizeable with great bath. But room decor also quite dull. Pool was good, but crowded and very noisy (on a Sunday morning) . Not at all what I had hoped for, given the name, the price and other reviews.
Wonderful stay
our experience was that the staff were very friendly, profsessional and efficient. however, the bar area was not equipped to accommodate the needs of the guests as space and seating was an issue. overall very enjoyable stay.
The hotel was amazing. But I didn't realise that by booking with hotels.com the breakfast wasn't included. I had a coupon which is why I used hotels.com, but even with that, it would've been cheaper to book with the hotel directly. I'll do that in future
Beautiful hotel and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our 7 year old loved the games room and outdoor playground. Highly recommend.
Never have i stayed in a hotel where attention to detail was so apparent. Everything from the cleanliness to the well manicured gardens to the simple things like little covers on the butter at breakfast. Definatley planning another visit this year.
Wonderful short family break. Couldn't complain about anything.Everything is amazing. Thanks.
loved our stay here. The staff were brilliant and couldnt have been nicer. The food was gorgeous, great facilitees and very family friendly
Staff was superb. Food was great. Golf was outstanding. Superb overall location. Two golf courses with very different designs.
Amazing hotel and great staff.
Room was spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. Loved the crow from my room. By far the best place I stayed in Ireland. Only improvement could have been in the breakfast. It was fine but nothing special. Overall fantastic
Nice hotel friendly staff and great breakfast. A Little remote
Magnificent Hotel ,close to Greystones,Bray ,Dublin, It has it all comport, cleanliness, spa gym friendly staff,I will definitely be back the next time I'm over in Ireland ,
Had a wonderful time would go back The staff are very very helpful Beautiful rooms Would come back! !!!!
Hotel and staff are amazing!
Stay was relaxing
The hotel was lovely. Large, comfortable and well appointed bedroom and bathroom. Hugo's restaurant however, was pretentious, over-priced and frankly not very good.
I really enjoyed my first visit to this hotel and would absolutely recommend it. Staff: charming and interactive Room: spacious and well appointed with nice extras like bottled water and turn down service Bathroom: lovely extras included high quality toiletries. One small niggle was the lighting and half shower barrier so I was concerned about water spillage. Food : I felt the food in the bar was slightly over priced but breakfast ( which cost extra) was great variety and selection overall
Excellent hotel in a beautiful area. Rooms were very tastefully decorated and had all amenities you would need. Facilities are excellent. Can't wait to return.
Great quality, excellent service and breakfast
A quality hotel who are actually happy to see children. From a small pack upon arrival to children robes in the room, the really make an effort to welcome children. No surprise they have won Irish family hotel of the year 2016. Highly recommended for families with young kids.
Lovely hotel, great staff, beautiful grounds and fab facilities. Meticulously clean. Booked room with 2 queen beds but was actually 2 double beds which didn't really suit our needs. Breakfast fantastic but very let down by evening meal which I did mention to staff. Would definitely go again if a special offer arose.
This is a lovely resort near the ocean in Wicklow County. I picked it due to the location - but the golf and spa services look great. The room is very comfortable and quite luxurious. The breakfast is superb. The staff was very professional and quite helpful - there were some nice touches that most hotels in Ireland don't have. there was a kids size robe for my daughter that she was very impressed with. I usually don't bother to take the toiletries but the resort uses L'Occitane and they are quite nice. The bell captain actually wears a top hat. The honey for the brunch actually came straight from a bee hive and was very nice
Last time we stayed we did not find the hotel particularly child-friendly but this time it was wonderful. Staff provided information about all the children activities on check-in. The play-room and swimming pool were great and we enjoyed the movie we borrowed. The room was very large and very comfortable.
Josephine made our anniversary stay the absolute best - this was our 2nd year staying with DG we will certainly be back again next year!
Lovely hotel with super helpful friendly staff.
Excellent staff , service & great atmosphere .Rooms really comfy & relaxing . Overpriced . Dissapointed at having to pay extra for breakfast .. Should be included in rate .
Fantastic stay, top class food and service. Great spa, health centre and golf courses.
Our check in hostess was absolutely the nicest. I had left a bag at the airport and she did what she could at the late hour trying to get through someone to help find it. It was there at the police station lost and found the next morning! The fact she tried was the greatest. Thanks.`
Amazing hotel super facilitys and really nice staff very welcoming 😊
We had a lovely relaxing stay. We have a 4 year old son and he had great fun in the pool/playroom/little playground. The staff we very pleasant and helpful. We will definately return soon for a longer stay.
Druid Glen was a very pleasant stay in Ireland and ideally situated for some sight seeing. You can not fault the staff they were very polite and eager to help and make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast was easy with something for everyone, the evening meal in the Hugo Restaurant was delightful, very well presented and of high standard. The evening entertainment in the bar was brilliant as was the bar service. We did not use any of the Spa or golfing facilities, we did take a peak at the pool and gym area and both were very clean and well equipped. The surroundings/grounds were beautiful, the weather did not permit us to take a look around which was disappointing, however we are sure they would have been as 1st class as the Hotel itself. Very relaxing indeed, no pressure no concerns, a much enjoyed relaxing weekend break.
