The location was idyllic and everything about our stay was perfect . The staff were so helpful and engaging . We really couldn't have wished for more.

• Er is werkelijk niks aan te merken op dit hotel, maar als ik iets zou kunnen noemen misten wij wel een balkonnetje / buiten bij de kamer.

Our stay at Villa La Massa was truly unforgettable and exceeded all of our expectations. Even before our arrival, we were welcomed with exceptional care. Anastasia, who is in charge of events, and the wonderful Tamara, the hotel manager, supported us throughout every step of our wedding preparations with incredible dedication and kindness, taking care of every detail to ensure everything was exactly as we had dreamed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Throughout our stay, every member of the staff was exceptionally kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The suites are beautiful, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, with a wide variety of high-quality products. We also had the pleasure of enjoying two dinners at the hotel, both of which were impeccable. We would especially like to recognize Chef Stefano, who created an unforgettable wedding cake. Another highlight is the hotel’s shuttle service to the center of Florence, which is extremely convenient and works perfectly. Without a doubt, Villa La Massa was the perfect place to celebrate such an important moment for me and my family. We would especially like to thank Tamara for all her care and dedication throughout our wedding preparations and during our entire stay. We truly hope to return soon.

Everything was so well maintained, the staff were so friendly and attentive, (particularly Mattia with the piña coladas!), it was a perfect little tranquil haven for our honeymoon - so calm and peaceful.

This property was close to Florence but not directly in the city (just a hotel shuttle away).It is a little oasis. The grounds were beautiful, the buildings, everything exceeded my expectations

We loved everything about this place! Beautiful property, attentive and friendly staff, amazing food, I could go on and on! The bedrooms and the pool were also pristine, and definitely our favorite part of our Italy trip!

For a 5 star hotel, it should provide enough water as well as coffee machine in the room.

Très bel établissement, personnel qualifié et sympathique. Le service de navette pour se rendre à Florence, un plus. Les jardins sont magnifiques, la piscine chauffée déjà fonctionnelle à cette période. La décoration est soignée dans les détails. Notre chambre non seulement belle mais fonctionnelle.

I've stayed in many luxury hotels, but this one was miles ahead of them all. Our room was very large and had a beautiful view. It was also immaculately clean throughout our entire stay. The pool area was clean with stunning views, they brought us water by the pool each day. Breakfast was delicious, there was a large buffet and eggs cooked to order. It was also in a beautiful location on the balcony overlooking the river. We ate lunch at the hotel every day and it was also delicious, cocktails at the bar were enjoyable too. They had live music one evening but sadly we missed it. They have a small bus which takes you to/from Florence center throughout the day which was very helpful. Staff throughout the hotel were attentive and friendly. Despite a little rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can't wait to visit again!

Just a couple tiny points: I asked for a dinner recommendation in Florence but was given a book with about 30+ choices. A smaller list or personal recommendation would have been helpful. It would be nice for the hot foods at breakfast (sausage, bacon and potatoes) to also be cooked to order or kept warmer.

Information regarding shuttle is difficult to find when making travel plans and is far from train station or airport. It also closes mid day for two hours.

We stayed at this hotel and absolutely loved our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome — kind, professional, and always ready to help. The front desk team took care of every detail and made everything feel effortless. The location, set in the suburbs, was calm and pleasant — close enough to reach the city easily, yet quiet enough to enjoy peaceful moments. The view from our room was beautiful, especially in the mornings and evenings. The restaurant was excellent — not only was the food delicious, but the restaurant staff offered such warm, heartfelt care. They paid attention to every detail and made each meal feel special. The shuttle service was fantastic and made getting around easy and comfortable. Every service reflected real thoughtfulness and a touch of luxury. The atmosphere of the hotel was elegant, cozy, and full of genuine warmth. We left feeling happy, relaxed, and deeply grateful for such a beautiful experience. ❤️

le comportement du personnel du restaurant ces gens prennent leurs clients pour des pigeons !! on nous vend un poulet à 55€ en indiquant qu'il est pour 2 personnes et qu'il est entier; et on reçoit un demi-poulet minuscule; en argumentant que les morceaux du poulet sont entiers !! des voleurs et des menteurs !!

A wonderful hotel, managed at the highest level

Rooms need some update, regarding electric and USB outlets.

Rooms were beautiful and immaculate, beautifully designed. The hotel itself was beautiful and with perfect Tuscany charm. Enjoying river view at every breakfast and sunset at dinner are perfect ways to start the day and wind down after a day of touring. Breakfast was good and the hotel prepared fresh fruit juices every morning and brought them to the table specifically for the guests (unlike some where fruit juices were just produced in bulk and placed on buffet bar table). Staff were attentive and joyful - happy staff happy place! Prior to our arrival we requested the hotel to make a few restaurant reservations and we were presented with a professionally prepared typed up letter with details of all the reservations. These are the little details that differentiate a true five star hotel from a mediocre one. We loved the place so much and it's by far one of the best 5 stars hotel we've stayed at.

Everything was fabulous, we got upgraded to a suite with terrace overlooking the river and the hills. The staff were beyond helpful, very attentive to our messages. The shuttle service to downtown was excellent. This is the place to stay at when you want to enjoy Florence but stay away from the crowds. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful property, really peaceful and quiet. Not too far from town and really clean and tidy.

We wanted to eat in the town for one of the nights but the free shuttle was already booked, so we had to eat at the hotel twice. Not a problem but would have liked to try elsewhere.

We really enjoyed the location of Villa La Massa, it’s perfect distance outside of downtown and reaching downtown via the shuttle makes life easy. The amenities we thought were great, especially hanging by the pool mid day; getting a pizza and drinks out there were fantastic.

I wish the shuttle would run past 11pm into town especially because most individuals eat a later dinner here. We had a fine dining reservation for an anniversary dinner at 930 pm which caused us to miss the last shuttle, and we ended up having to pay a taxi what I thought was an excessive amount for the 8 minute drive to the property.

Prachtige ligging, heerlijk zwembad, mooie kamers en grote tuin! Staff is vriendelijk, geweldig attent en behulpzaam.

Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Mitarbeiter…. überall!!! Besonders auffallend war der Zimmerservice… die Damen haben das Zimmer jeden Tag perfekt gereinigt und es gibt dort auch noch einen „‚Turn down service“ :-) Alle Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich bemüht, dass man einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt verlebt …. es war einfach herrlich entspannend …. jeder war zuvorkommend, in der ganzen Anlage herrscht eine sympathische Atmosphäre und man spürt, die Menschen mögen ihren Arbeitsplatz!

We absolutely loved having a pool which had lovely surrounds and camping vistas of the manicured grounds. The courtesy shuttle was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here as it is about 15-20 mins drive from the centre of Florence. We would absolutely stay at Villa La Massa again if we visit Florence.

An Idyllic Start to a Tuscan Journey! I couldn’t have imagined a better place to begin a three-week vacation in Tuscany. Villa La Massa strikes a flawless balance between refined architecture, understated luxury, and genuine hospitality. The staff was both highly professional and warm, the gardens and pool area were immaculate, and the food was excellent. One detail worth noting — the pool was initially heated in late June during an intense heatwave, but after a simple mention, the team promptly adjusted the temperature. My only suggestion would be to extend pool hours in summer, especially when it stays light until 10:00 p.m. Overall, a perfect stay in every sense.

From the moment we entered it was five star service. At checkin Adel, Tamara and Nicolo were very cordial. The views of the river and beautiful hills made it hard to look away. All of the resteraunt’s were excellent and especially the very lovely staff. I would especially like to thank Vasilis for his great food recommendations and conversation.

The place is amazing. The view is beautiful, the pool, the garden and room are super clean. Food is great. Even the burger was top level. The room is cleaned and organized twice a day. They offer shuttle to the city (Florence).
