Gorgeous hotel - it's all about the details - between the wallpaper, the velvet chairs, the unique light fixtures. Great restaurant & bar. Breakfast in the morning was delightful. Walkable to town (though there is not much in the town). Views of the water. Malahide castle is close by. Comfortable beds & high quality products.

terrible water pressure for the shower, but we loved the bath products

Breakfast was just average , continental was good but full irish was average. Sausages need to be more cooked , pudding needs more quality as do hash browns. Menu has Blueberry muffins but there were none.

As above hot Breakfast was average.

I was on the second floor in a twin room which was very warm especially at night and there was’nt any AC … there was a fan ! There was’nt any fridge in the room which was very surprising for a 4 * hotel

Sehr schön gelegen, sehr nah am Meer und der Innenstadt von Malahide. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und das Frühstücksbuffet vielfältig und sehr lecker. Es gibt einen recht großen, hauseigenen Parkplatz.

Ich war etwas irritiert, als ich entdeckte, dass wir ein Bad für Rollstuhlfahrer hatten, das aber schön groß war, allerdings keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeiten für Badutensilien vorsah ( wahrscheinlich genau aus diesem Grund). Die teilsatinierte Glastür ließ nachts das Licht ziemlich deutlich durchscheinen, wenn jemand das Bad benutzte. Vielleicht wäre da eine andere Möglichkeit denkbar. Die Matratzen waren ziemlich hart, aber das empfindet ja jeder anders😉 und muss kein Nachteil sein.

We had people staying above us had us wakened at 2am the partying went on until 5.30 am we didn"t complain to the hotel so didn't have a good nights sleep.

Breakfast is very well displayed with plenty of variety. One of few hotels where breakfast is actually hot at the buffet.

Excellent seaside location only 5 minute walk to town. Friendly staff. Large comfortable bedroom. Splendid reception, restaurants & bar areas tastefully decorated. Lovely seaviews from breakfast room. Good buffet breakfast. Excellent leisure centre with pool, spa and sauna. Free parking is a big plus.

Fabulous Hotel, Staff, Location

We've stayed here a number of times but this is the first time since the renovations. It's made a great hotel even more beautiful. We were upgraded to a lovely seaview room. The food was excellent. There is a comfortable feel to The Grand

Everything was excellent. Beautifully designed hotel in a superb location in the quaint village of Malahide. Comfortable beds, delicious food and friendly, helpful staff - what more could you want?

Being woken up very early by noisy delivery men. Lots of banging of barrels. Signs could be clearer on the lifts for the location of rooms, especially for the first floor

A pox on dynamic pricing, it sucks that I should pay double the price that I would pay for a later date. Rooms should have fixed prices.

Returned from a concert in Dublin on Sunday night. Wanted to order a snack to the room, room service finished at 930. All bars closed at 1130pm & no facility for residents to get a drink. Very disappointing.

Der Flur wurde während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt ( z.B. Staubsauger ).... erkannt anhand von einigen Schnipseln im 2 in. OG. Zudem war in Zimmer 250 eine Familie untergebracht, die sehr laut agiert hat (Türen zugeschlagen, klopfen).

I booked 3 rooms and none had hot water at 5.00am before leaving for the airport. Hotel attitude ‘it’s an old hotel and we have these problems’ . 12 days and counting with no response from Senior Management Team as promised. Read reviews, they do not respond to complaints.

The refit by the new owners is superb everything is done to a very high standard.

The drafty seating in the bar bistro. A few customers also asked to be moved.

There was a stink of drains in our bathroom

Location, nice room, secure parking underground for motorbikes. Excellent breakfast. Handy for train ride into Dublin

Superior Rooms don’t have bathrobes, even though it says they do on the booking with Booking.com. Reception team said you only get those if you book a Phoenix Room and muttered she would let someone know. Still haven’t found the express check out to leave key cards at reception! Would be better to have them placed at the entrance to car park. Saves wandering around 2 floors to hand a key card in.

Room was far from executive standard, even though we got an appreciative upgrade. No seating to dry hair in bathroom or bedroom, considering we a have mobility issues, had to put our clothes on floor at night, as there was nowhere convenient to place them, wardrobe was placed at door and inconvenient, a long journey to navigate with 2 lifts , as well as a long walk to get to bedroom, challenged the memory😳.

Buffet breakfast was tasty. Any requests to the staff were dealt with immediately and with a smile.

Good location and beautiful communal facilities.

Rooms were extremely hot - despite being pleasant outside and communal areas being cooled. Also, smoke alarms went off whenever someone showered with the door open (even not in our own room). That was extremely disruptive to sleep.
