La chambre était spacieuse et agréable. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié de pouvoir séjourner avec les enfants sans difficultés. Le personnel et l'accueil ont été parfaits. Parking facile devant à proximité de l'hôtel.

Good location for old town and convenient parking facilities behind the hotel. Communal areas were very nice. Reception staff were very helpful.

Our room looked old and a bit grubby as if it was next in line for a refurb although the bathroom was modern. Breakfast was poor and breakfast staff invisible.

Das Hotel ist in einem historischen Haus untergebracht mit schönem Jugendstil Treppenhaus alles schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen die Zimmer sind aber super wir hatten Glück mit Blick auf die Straße.

The location. The convenient parking. The comfortable bed.

There’s no question that the Mercure chain has seen better days. Several aspects of the communal areas here could do with some attention, especially considering the high price of the rooms. The staff would also benefit from some training on how to be warm and welcoming.

Die Lage (nur wenige Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt), sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück, ein saubere Zimmer und super Park-Möglichkeiten.

Location. Room size excellent for city centre hotel. Excellent secure parking. Breakfast was excellent, everything you want. Staff super helpful.

No milk in the room. Toilet flush need work.

Professionnalisme

Room was nice

Firstly, I had an email telling me the restaurant was closed Saturday and Sunday so when we arrived on friday, we expected to be able to eat at the hotel. However, when we went down for dinner, we were told the chef was on holiday. No one mentioned this when we checked in. Also, we asked if they had a particular French TV channel which they said they didnt. That is fine but they didnt seem to look very hard. We then saw a sticker on the window of the hotel advertising this channel so we asked again and were abruptly told again they didnt have it. My wife went to the bar for a drink, waited 10 minutes and no one arrived nor could she find anyone. The place was like a ghost town at times. Breakfast was not particularly nice but presume this was because the chef had gone on holiday. Never again

Location. The suite was lovely, large, comfortable bed and spacey and light. Breakfast was good too. Easy 12 minute walk to the old town. Close to pubs and restaurants.

Good facilities including coffee, tea and a kettle which is always a bonus. Spacious enough rooms and friendly staff. Great location.

Room was a bit tired around the edges especially the bathroom. Could do with modernising.

Such a nice building and felt so grand. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated and the AC during the heatwave was fantastic! Location was superb in a nice part of the city, the parking facility was also great, secure and free. The check in staff were so friendly and even put up with my broken French and made us feel very welcome.

Breakfast overpriced given how chaotic it was. A reservation system with set arrival time might work better, as when we arrived there were no seats (except at low coffee tables), no cups (except paper), and long queues for the sole functioning coffee machine. Entrance to underground parking very tight for an SUV.

The property was lovely and the staff were great. Very helpful and pleasant. They went the extra mile. Especially the gentleman running the restaurant! He was so kind and the food delicious. The croissant that were offered with coffee in the lobby were terrific.

A little closer to the centrum would be nice— but it’s a short walk! The heat made it tough to walk on the streets- c’est la vie!

Beautiful old building, well situated for the city centre & with a secure, gated car park.

It’s looking a bit shabby since we stayed a couple of years ago & the air con in our room didn’t work. However Aurelie, the only member of staff on duty the evening we stayed was a joy & ran around checking people in, serving drinks & sorting problems - she never complained & always had a smile on her face.

Hotel classique dans un beau bâtiment ancien et très confortable. Parking privé ou places dans la rue faciles. Accueil très agréable et souriant nous avons eu la bonne surprise d'être surclassés pour une chambre privilège très spacieuse et calme.

We kregen de grootste kamer van het hotel. 40m2 met een fantastisch kingsize bed. (en een aparte hoek met 2 persoons bed). Kamer met ligbad, aparte douche en een seperaat toilet.

Accès assez difficile car beaucoup de travaux en extérieur, mais ce n'est pas la faute de l'hotel.

Tout était parfait. Personnel très aimable (du réceptionniste au barman, sans oublier la responsable du petit déjeuner). Chambre confortable.

Déçue des crêpes au petit déjeuner. (Elles étaient trop sèches à mon goût). Des pancakes auraient peut-être fait mon bonheur 😅

The room was clean with a big bathroom and comfortable bed. In terms of decor- it could use an update but there is fundamentally nothing wrong with it. The staff was helpful and friendly and the prices reasonable.

Location is very average and not near anything you would want to visit. Cathedral and old part of the city is a good 15 minute walk through a residential part of the city.

A really beautiful house with a great entrance and beautiful staircase. We were greeted by two very lovely employees, Check-In was smooth and as we booked 2 rooms we were allocated rooms next to each other (great). Out Suite was nice and clean with a huge bed and a lot of space. The breakfast offers a wide variety of foods and drinks. Also here, Staff was smiling, greeting and taking care of Everything. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would defentely stay here again.

The included breakfast was good.

Dated decor, restaurant was closed for renovations and there was no bar service when I went for a drink at 10 pm. No good options for restaurants within walking distance so was stuck ordering Uber Eats. Overpriced for the location and dated decor.

I arrived at the Mercure Le Mans after driving my beloved sports car all the way from London, expecting a gentle welcome. What I got instead was an underground car park that appeared to have been designed for Matchbox cars and optimistic cyclists. Negotiating the entrance ramp felt less like parking and more like a televised endurance challenge. One wrong move and I’d have been explaining to my insurance company how a perfectly good sports car became modern art. I nearly suffered a coronary halfway down. The saving grace was Gerald on reception, a gentleman of extraordinary patience who, at 1am, actually walked the perimeter of the hotel to help guide me into the garage. If every hotel had a Gerald, half the world’s problems would disappear before breakfast. The hotel itself is full of character, spotlessly clean and wonderfully quiet. The location is excellent too, making it an ideal base for exploring Le Mans. My only surprise came overnight when I discovered that the “double bed” was in fact two singles in a committed but distant relationship. I woke up wedged in the gap between them, folded into a shape that would have impressed Quasimodo’s chiropractor. Breakfast was a buffet that looked as though several coach parties had arrived five minutes before me, but the selection was good and the staff remained cheerful, helpful and unfailingly pleasant throughout. Despite my midnight battle with the garage and my brief transformation into a hunchback, this is a hotel I’d happily return to. Good value, great location, lovely staff and a special mention to Gerald, who deserves a medal, a pay rise, or at the very least a much larger car park.

The people working here are very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to the city centre and has private parking, which was very convenient. There are also restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms are clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The location was perfect around 5 mints to center , the lady in front office was the best I ever saw in all hotel I have visited in the past she was very very friendly and helpful with all visitors, I am sure all other staff will be the same , Room big , clean and everything you need available The hotel have car parking in the area Sure I’ll be back to same hotel for my next visit All best
