Ground floor meant road noise, but minimal at the important time, night time! Some noise from neighbouring rooms, mainly above us. No tea bags to accompany the kettle. Soon provided by the ever helpful Margot.

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Location's amazing, rooms are beautiful. The staff are a delight, specifically Margo. She knows the hotel inside out and she's truly wonderful, she'll do anything she can to help you. We had a late flight and she couldn't offer late check out but she was happy to give us pool access, look after our bags and let me charge my phone during the afternoon. The chef is incredible, if you go you must have dinner there. One of the best meals I've ever had - and this is high praise. A truly lovely, peaceful get away. The rooms are themed and beautiful, the aircon is excellent (important in the mountains), the food is great and the location is exactly what you want. With only 9 rooms the pool is normally empty or quiet, it's so peaceful. Such a special gem, very pleased to have discovered it.
The only thing I could fault ever so slightly is the cleaning of the room. It wasn't bad by any means but I had a bubble bath day 1 and the bath wasn't really cleaned after. The bin wasn't emptied if it wasn't full. This needs to be taken in the context of it doesn't have a full cleaning team, it has 9 rooms so it has one cleaning person who has a lot to do. It's a small note, the main hotel, sun terrace and importantly the pool always felt immaculate

Reviewed Sep 3, 2026Lo que más me gustó fue la tranquilidad que había, el hotel estaba al completo y no se escuchaba ni un ruido. Tenía mucho encanto, tanto la habitación como las zonas comunes. Muy bonito y el pequeño mirador espectacular.
Nos gustó todo, pero si tengo que decir algo quizás el desayuno, no porque no nos gustara sino que era tipo buffet y hubieramos preferido a la carta, de esto nos informaron el mismo dia que llegamos en el check-in y de haberlo sabido antes seguramente no lo hubiéramos elegido.

Toiletteries were a showercap and one small bar of soap. Showergel for hair and body only. No conditioner and no bodylotion, so bring your own. Minibar ok, but no complimentary bottle of water as in other hotel’s that we have stayed at in Spain. Rooms are tired and in need of a good scrub and paint. Good aircon.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026This is a return visit. The property is beautifully maintained and has a high attention to detail. We really love the decor. the staff is pleasant.
It was shame that the restaurant was not open on Sunday as we usually enjoy our anniversary meal there. They have also changed the toiletries and the previous ones were much better.

There's no on site parking but there's a really easy access free car park around the corner, so it's not a problem at all!

De kamer vond ik verschrikkelijk, We hadden de kruiden kamer en het stonk er naar parfum om de mufheid te verdoezelen. Met mijn spierreuma was het heel moeilijk om uit bed te komen omdat er een houten rand was, achteraf hadden we een andere kamer moeten vragen maar die waren nog duurder en deze was al aan de dure kant, 170 per nacht. Helaas konden we er ook niet dineren de kok was die avond vrij en in de buurt zijn niet heel veel restaurants maar we hadden geluk om nog net op tijd er een te reserveren.

The setting was peaceful and relaxing, making it a perfect place to welcome the New Year. The hotel is thoughtfully designed with great attention to detail, and it has a lovely atmosphere throughout. The lady running the hotel was extremely courteous and friendly, which made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. We were especially happy to spend the New Year in the Philosopher’s Room, which was comfortable, unique, and full of character. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a tranquil and special getaway.

We moved rooms so that we could experience a different one every night. Margot is amazing, so welcoming and personable. Big shout out to Finley, top guy. Amazing food, the dining experience is a hidden gem, highly recommended….. top class chef.

Lo único-y ya lo imaginábamos- es que el restaurante del hotel está junto a las habitaciones y hubo ruido hasta las 23.00. Sin embargo, desde ese momento mucha calma y el resto de la noche muy bien.
