Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Stayed overnight with the dogs. Service, breakfast and the room were fine. Pretty much like any other Scandic where we have stayed. One improvement is needed. The TV in the room did not have Chromecast and you were not able to stream any content from mobile to TV. So you could not watch for example Netflix.

However, the cleanliness could be improved, and the bed could be more comfortable for a better night’s sleep.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026The location - very central, close to the market and to other sightseeing spots. Breakfast was very good. Bicycles for free to explore surroundings.
First, the beds were not prepared for three guests, but only for two upon our arrival. Second, there was no cleaning done after the first night we spent there. No trash bins emptied, no towels (those which were on the floor) exchanged, no beds made. Totally unacceptable for a 4 star hotel!

Hieman muhkeutta kaipasin tyynyihin, ehkä useampia niitä. Sänky natisi ja oli parhaat päivänsä nähnyt. Leikkihuone pieni ja sopii vain aivan pienille.

Usually I had no problems to spend my vouchers in the restaurant, but after the final menu list update, Scandic's made it very challenging. Meat options became very expensive. No more Best Deal options?! Instead they offer you a menu of thwo/three courses with a higher prices.

Ett minus var att vi fick vänta en bra stund på maten.Men skall tilläggas att personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam.

Minusta on tärkeätä, että Suomessa, Oulussa ja tässä hotellissa olisi osattu ruotsin kieltä, koska se on Suomen toinen virallinen kieli.

Das Frühstücksbüffet war soweit ok, allerdings war das Wiederauffüllen etwas “holprig. Und dann beim Einchecken etwas, dass ich noch nie erlebt habe: wir sind mit zwei Motorrädern unterwegs und buchen jeweils einen (1) Parkplatz. Im Oulu City geht das aus nicht nachvollziehbaren Gründen nicht… wir mussten zwei Plätze bezahlen - die sehr unfreundliche Dame an der Reception bestand beharrlich darauf. Ist das nun “Abzocke” auf Finnisch?
