Can’t speak highly enough of this place. We got a 2 bed suite and there were 5 of us; 2 parents and 3 little kids. It was absolutely perfect, the room was immaculate, the staff were all so lovely and made us feel looked after throughout. The property is so high quality. The local amenities were wonderful. Worth every penny.

We love this peaceful vacation destination and have come for the past six years. It is quiet and mell maintained, near many destinations and activities.

The walkability to beaches, on site restaurant, equipped rooms. Seemed like a fun place for families.

Didn't realize how pet friendly it was and I love dogs. However ..Dogs yapping constantly around across from room and thru the night, dogs peeing...everywhere. The lack of staff visible on site. When we did see a staff member with a Swiffer they were visibly pretending to do their job when The complex actually needs cleaning. Maintenance seemed lacking. The tv isn't moveable so laying in bed to watch is impossible.

The room was great and the resort had many activities

The only thing is that most places required a car to get to but no big deal as there was most everything you could want , on the property.

Having the 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family and very spacious. We loved the facilities and the events that were put on, e.g. live music, experience office, firepits, wine tasting etc. Staff were also amazing.

Shaungnessy cove should have prioritized resort guests for both take out and table service. All 3 nights we stayed we weren't able to get a table or take out because their kitchen was too busy. Being the only dinner venue on site, there really needs to be tables/service reserved foe resort guests because there was nowhere else to eat in the area.

Stayed 2 nights for a reunion. Understood there was a group rate, so simply booked through the hotel rep. Nice suite, lake side, about $240 a night. I should have negotiated, I guess, several friends got lower rates, quite a spread, actually. We asked the front desk about it and the clerk said she'd have her supervisor check. Never heard back. First night they left the piped pool music on all night- we thought there was a party somewhere. Next night we had to call the desk and ask them to turn it off at 10:30. Phone rang at least 20x (not exaggerating) before they picked up. Didn't build faith. Hotel is nice enough, good location, no real lounge or restaurant (the restaurant is next door). As I say, I think we paid too much. As much my fault as theirs.

Excellent! This was our family's second stay and it was perfect. The resort and rooms are so clean and well appointed. The pool deck with hot tub very enjoyable and relaxing. We loved the location as we could walk down the pathway to the Summerside Pier to enjoy the public beach. We utilized the free guest laundry with large new machines which was appreciated. Resort staff were all friendly and welcoming on every interaction with them. Safe area and our teenage boys could explore independently without worry. Very satisfied with out stay and will stay again.

I love staying at the waterfront hotel, I’ve stayed here many times with my family. The only downside was the reception when we checked in. I specified I wanted a room away from the pool for more quiet, as from past experience I’ve learned the pool can be loud. When the receptionist mentioned that to me, he turned to my husband and said “so she’s already like that hey?” A joke I’m alluding to me being a 31 year old woman and picky? Didn’t appreciate that kind of misogyny. My husband and I both looked at each other like where did that come from?

Hotel was clean and well kept, staff are attentive and responsive to requests. They offer activities every day for guests.

Great location, quiet at osphere, fantastic rooms (esp the loft one-bedroom) . Breakfast option could be expanded but family loved the vacation. Pool slightly outdated but enjoyable

First stay here was perfect From the gym, pool, hot tub, laundry and the staff. Everything was just exceptional! Every employee we encountered during our stay was extremely helpful, helpful and more than willing to accommodate any request!

We just wrapped up an incredible four-day getaway at Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa for my 50th birthday! Right from the start, Flo, Karla, and the entire team blew us away. They were unbelievably kind, welcoming, and attentive. They made a big milestone birthday feel truly extraordinary! The resort itself is absolute paradise. It sits right on the water with a peaceful, quiet vibe that makes resetting effortless. Our room was phenomenal, boasting stunning, front-row views of the lake. We loved every second of the resort features! The pool and hot tub were top-tier, immaculate, and kept in prime shape by a super friendly pool crew. Getting out on the water couldn't have been easier. We spent our days swimming off the fantastic pier and launching paddleboards right from the beach. Having dedicated storage locker space for our gear and totally hassle-free parking made everything run like clockwork. When it came time to unwind, having the local pub right next door was the ultimate bonus. Killer cocktails, delicious food, and a fantastic atmosphere! This was hands down one of the absolute best birthday experiences of my life. A flawless, five-star stay from start to finish. We are already counting down the days until we can come back!

Amazing resort, amazing staff, love the pool, lake and amazing restaurants! From check in Karla makes you feel completely taken care of. Jesse is another amazing staff working hard to keep the pool and property in order. The cleaning staff is great. Ian will make sure your room is 5 star clean! We come back every year! Our stay at Summerland Waterfront Resort was truly enjoyable. Front desk staff hurried to make sure our room was ready within minutes of our arrival. We had a great view of the lake, and our room was very comfortable. Can’t say enough about the hotel’s friendly and helpful staff. The hotel even recognized my wife’s birthday celebration with a complimentary bottle of wine and hand-written card. We would highly recommend Summerland Waterfront Resort.

Whenever our family visits the Okanagan, Summerland Waterfront Resort is our go-to destination — and for good reason! It’s truly our favorite place to stay. The resort offers everything we could want in a relaxing, family-friendly vacation. The spacious suites feel more like a home than a hotel room, giving us all the space we need to spread out and unwind. The beds are incredibly comfortable, which makes a big difference after a day of adventuring or swimming in the lake/pool. One of the highlights for us is the clean and warm outdoor pool — it’s always a hit with our kids and a refreshing way to cool off during those hot summer days. There’s also a hot tub that’s perfect for relaxing in the evening while soaking in the stunning lake views. We love how much there is to do on site. The art classes are a unique and creative touch — a great way to unwind or let the kids explore their artistic side. And the bike rentals make it so easy to explore the beautiful lakeside trails and nearby attractions. The resort staff are always friendly and helpful, and everything is well-maintained and clean. Best experience! Adventure, togetherness and relaxation all rolled into one. Summerland resort has everything and you never have to use your car. Restaurants, spa, sports equipment, lakeside beaches and everything you need to bring your family together.

Great place for a getaways. Location is very nice and the hotel is perfect. Staff is very friendly and has everything you need to park the car away and enjoy the stay.

This is our favourite place to stay - everyone and everything is amazing, and the Shaughnessy Cove restaurant has great food and service.

A 3-night staycation was a revelation in understatement and surprise. The Resort was complete with every amenity in a location dripping with every summer activity imaginable. And shall we talk about the proximity to world class artesan wines? or orchard trees bending with succulent fruits ? or the local restaurants that beckon the palette ? Folks … forget Willamette or Napa … stay home and splendor in the delicious wine-soaked hills and valleys of British Columbia !

We really enjoyed the location right on the water, and its proximity to the main area made it incredibly convenient whenever we needed to pick something up. It was the perfect balance of a peaceful setting and easy access to everything we needed.

Great spot for family getaway. Enjoyed the pool, BBQ area, free bike rentals and short walk to great public beach. Short drive to many wineries and the Summerland Golf Course.

We are annual visitors at this resort and enjoy its proximity to beach and water activities and close to town, wineries and fruit stands. The staff are always amazing and the resort offers fun activities. There is a breakfast/lunch cafe with excellent food and a restaurant lake front next door. We always feel welcome and valued here.

Another great stay here! The kids enjoy fishing off the dock and having the boat parked ready to go when we want to go out! Also love the complementary wine tasting at Haywire winery! Looking forward to coming back next summer!

We went for a 3 night stay with few expectations however we were delighted with the entire experience of the Resort. Cleanliness, friendliness, tranquility and access to all amenities, including gym, sauna, spa and pool. Well done Summerland Waterfront Resort!

We had an excellent experience on our "Mini Moon" at SWR! The service was impeccable; the room was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking in the future years for anniversary celebrations!

Perfect location, lovely setting, clean and comfortable rooms and every amenity you can think of make for a wonderful escape. This is our annual family meeting spot and we have years of great memories at SWR. It is however getting a little pricey in an already expensive world. Staff is friendly and helpful and we love being on the lake and hope to be back many more times.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant next to the hotel was exceptional 👌🏾. My only issue was the bed was not comfortable. Everything else was great.

The bed was very uncomfortable I didnt really get a good night sleep.

Absolutely wonderful service by the Summerland Boat rentals. Silus was our go to guy and was very helpful and pleasant. We went on a pontoon which is a great way to go with a bunch of family.

Lovely location although next time I would definitely get a room overlooking lake.

Spa wasn’t working

We enjoy our Okanagan get aways in Summerland at the Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa. It is a peaceful yet fun location with a number of great amenities. The cleanliness of the rooms and resort are impressive making your time there relaxing. There is also a great restaurant a few steps away, wine tours, historic train tour and other events that take place in the area. It is a wonderful place that you will want to return to!!

Summerland is a beautiful town, and the resort is in a great area to walk along the beach. The resort is very clean, and the amenities are great, especially the pool. I imagine it gets much busier during peak summer months but June was a great time to go.

We always have the best time here! The hotel has everything you need from a stocked kitchen to cook, coffees in room, bistro downstairs and a really bumping restaurant on site too. We love taking the bikes for a cruise and sitting on the dock to unwind. The gym is perfect too-great morning light in there.

Amazing stay in a beautiful lakeside location.Great facilties and well equipped suites. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool, jacuzzi and sauna open until late to enjoy a wind down at the end of the day. Would thoroughly recommend

The suite was quiet and peaceful overlooking the pool and lake. The bedding was wonderful and I really enjoyed the shampoo, soap an lotions the hotel picked out. Centrally located for a wine trip. Underground parking was a great perk.

We had such an amazing trip with our pup! We enjoyed our lovely room with everything we could have needed and more as well as the on site restaurant (dog friendly!), the pool and hot tub and even a sweet picnic area! Will be back!

We went on a 2 night-holiday at the resort and loved the quiet room, the location, and especially that we could watch and listen to birds at the wetland from our balcony by the hotel. We live 20 minutes away from Summerland, the perfect distance to take a break, almost a stay-cation. It was great to explore Summerland with its wineries, and downtown shopping area as a tourist.

Wonderful location, very comfortable suite with nice balcony. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub while overlooking the lake. Very good food at Shaughnassys restaurant. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They arranged an early check-in and also helped when my son left his suitcase behind!

I love this resort. I've been going for almost 20 years. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The beds are super comfy and the pool is wonderful - perfect temperature. It's magical and relaxing. The rooms are super clean with everything you'll need in the kitchen.

Great location on the water. Very relaxing. We stayed in May and the weather was amazing. The restaurant next door was also spectacular.

One of the Best resort in Okanagan, friendly staff, lovely swimming pool, apartment clean , bed very pleasant. Location is little far from all restaurant, but easy parking . We been there 3 times already and definitely will return .

Great central locations, less touristy than Kelowna or Penticon which was nice. The room was clean & well set up,also loved that we had direct access to the pool. All the staff were friendly & helpful. There was a puzzle set up in the lobby each day which was a nice little touch that my husband and I enjoyed. We didn't try the Bistro inside but the restaurant in the same parking lot was good.

We loved this resort! The location is great and the resort was super clean and updated! We especially loved the hot tub and pool! The kitchen comes stocked with anything you would need to make meals.

Just a truly magical place and we have already booked our next trip back! The grounds were immaculate, no crowds in the area, very quiet!

Excellent time and service, beautiful waterfront

Great location. Room was clean and had a full (small) kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, sink, dishwasher, full fridge and full stocked cupboards. There was a balcony albeit very small. I really enjoyed the full sized bath tub in the room. The facility was clean. The pool was a good size and the hot tub was great. I would recommend this resort to others.

Very nice hotel to have some relaxing days at the lake. The hotel has very nice, spacious rooms, a lovely bistro for breakfast, a very good restaurant and loads of extras. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel offers bikes, which is great because the lake is great for easy biking, the website talked about how easy it is especially for kids, it would great if they would have a couple of kids bikes on offer too!

Best family getaway spot in the Okanagan! Beautiful and scenic, small town feel, but also luxurious. Service is great.

We stayed for two nights in early May. Our room was on the back of the hotel and we hadn’t realized that was what we had booked. The view was terrible and we had traffic noise and we were very disappointed. The room itself was decorated very nicely and had a full kitchen which was well appointed. The air conditioning only works when the balcony door is closed - I like to be outside, my spouse inside so that was disappointing for conversation. It was a long walk to our room from the lobby. There were very few people in the pool area so we enjoyed the amenities there. If you book make sure you select the water side. The hotel is not walkable to anything other than a public beach. Downtown is a drive away on the other side of a busy highway and up a steep incline. The on site bistro is pricey

Everything was great! Room, pool and hot tub. Away from traffic on the water. Lots of walking down the lakeshore. The staff were really nice from a phone prior to arriving to checking out! Lovely staff. We will be back after the summer ❤️

Really lovely. Seemed a bit old-fashioned, in a good way. Boardwalk, pool, site very close to beaches. Nice rooms. Comfy without being showy. Good parking, nice little breakfast cafe off the lobby. A very nice restaurant/pub next door (Shaughnessy's Cove). We really had a good time.

Overall it was average, I have stayed here twice with my wife and both experiences were different. Would recommend a room on the pool side with less noise and a better view than the opposite side.

Pleasantly pleased with this hotel/resort. Booked a room last minute when our AirBnB fell through. We've always booked AirBnB when traveling with our pup. I now realize what we may have been missing out on. Fantastic room, location and atmosphere. Staff were top notch and welcoming to us and our pup. The pool was warm, clean and relaxing. The Bistro was handy and the different areas to sit outside and relax were all appreciated and comfy. Loved the picnic tables with barbecues, the added touch of supplied barbecue utensils was a bonus. The board walk and lake run right along the property and Shaughnessy's Cove Restaurant is on the beach in the parking beside the lobby entrance. The restaurant has patio seating that allows you to bring your pet. We will definitely be back.

We did a mother evening away with 7 mama’s and it was such an amazing stay here! We are local and honestly so glad we chose this spot of all the places we can choose from. 1000% recommend.

We loved our stay at the Summerland Waterfront Resort! The personalized hand written welcome note is a nice touch. We loved the robes and coffee station in the room. Everything was clean and comfortable. The pool area was great and the views on the lake can't be beat!

A wonderful place to relax and recharge. Very peaceful. Lovely location on the lake. Lots of amenities including a free guest laundry. Rooms include full kitchen, very nicely appointed. Outdoor BBQ to cook your own steaks. Good restaurant next door. This was our second visit and we would come again.

Listen when I say a pleasant surprise it was a pleasant surprise . If you are looking for a peaceful tranquil place to relax and get away from the world . Summerland resort has it . Spectacular views , gear walking paths , waterfront property . Now I want to tell you something else . Extremely clean, amazing staff and the Front desk Manager was off the charts . We arrived early for our stay , we went for a mango smoothie and a Vegan carrot cake and by the time we were done , they came and got us for our rooms. They carrot cake was scrumptious, the smoothie was smooooth :) But guess what after everything i have said , well the simplest things stole the show . My bed was one of the most comfortable bed I have had . That should mean a lot coming from a Platinum Elite Marriot Member ;)

Overall great stay at this resort but disappointed that this non-smoking property doesn't enforce their policy. We were sitting in our living room with the patio door open and "weed" smoke began waffing in. I went out on to the balcony and was hit with a cloud of marijuana smoke. I called the front desk and spoke with Sam. I told him of the situation and asked if security could do a walk by and advise the people beside or below us to stop smoking. Sam let me know that there is no security at the resort and that the smoke was likely coming from across the street, [impossible because we were facing the lake and there was no smell at our backdoor facing the other side of the street]. Sam further explained that even if there were security it would be an invasion privacy to check on the guests in that matter. Sam's response to me was pleasant but at the same time insulting as he was trying to completely invalidate my concern. I get it that people "smoke", but don't say you're a smoke free property when you don't intend to enforce it.

Great location between penticton and Kelowna. Studio room was large, comfortable and spotless. For the price of a regular hotel room the added value of the kitchen made Summerland Waterfront Resort a clear choice.

Clean and great service. When we checked in it was easy and fast. The hotel is clean and has a great cafe for afternoon snacks.

SWR was so relaxing. Everything has been well thought out and appointed. We brought our dog and he was warmly welcomed as we had bowls and treats left in our room for him, and they took the time to share some local knowledge on dog friendly spaces and activities. The patio was large and spacious and the kitchen was well equipped.

Excellent location on lake, studio unit poolside well equipped with fridge ,stove,micowave,dishwasher. The coaster style bikes we used and really appreciated the ability to cycle along the shoreline. Having Shaugnessy's next door is a bonus, excellent happy hour.

We needed a quiet getaway and the corner lakeview suite was perfect. There is a spa on the property as well as a restaurant - Shaughnessy's Cove. We took advantage of both and were not disappointed.

Nice rooms, clean and well maintained. Can't personally attest to the pool or hot tub but my friends enjoyed it. Sauna was down for maintenance but I expect it would be as satisfactory as everything else. Jigsaw puzzle table in the lobby was a nice touch we really enjoyed.

The hotel was extremely clean! With spacious rooms one could stay in for various nights. My partner and I were only able to stay the night as we were visiting friends in Summerland, but were impressed and satisfied with the experience we had. CERTAINLY a place we would recommend for a quiet getaway from life with a beautiful outdoor element.

Our family had an amazing stay at Summerland Waterfront Resort! It was incredibly quiet and relaxing, exactly what we needed. Our suite was well-equipped, and having on-site laundry was a huge bonus for a family trip. The staff were all wonderful and made us feel welcome. The only disappointment was the room view. We booked a 'Full Lake View,' but it was more of a partial view (half pool, half lake). We wish there had been more transparency during booking, as we were really looking forward to that full lake vista. Despite the view hiccup, it was a nice stay and we would definitely come back!

Complete amenities for staycation in Summerland! Clean facilities & suite. there are 4 bicycles availae to borrow but we are 5 , so they get another one feom their storage so all 5 of us can bike at the same time
