Marriott Torreon Hotel

El hotel en general esta muy bonito, instalaciones de lujo muy limpio comodo tienen smart tv, con aplicaciones como Netflix etc. y muy buena ubicación asi como el servicio del personal y valet parking. Todo de diez.

Me gustaria que se pudiera agregar un mini refri en la habitación. Y se diera algun servicio de desayuno buffete incluido en el costo. Un inconveniente en mi estancia, por casi 7 horas se fue la luz por problemas ajenos al hotel, creo cuentan con planta de luz asi que las habitaciones tenían servicio de luz , pero no habia servicio de elevadores ni internet, también el agua fue un problema ya que se corto el suministro sugiero considerar algun plan de emergencia como tinacos o algo que permita al hotel seguir abastecido de agua al menos para lo básico que es el uso de los baños.

El desayuno fue muy bueno. El gimnasio estaba agradable Buena ubicación Hubo camiones que nos llevaron a la salida del maraton Pusieron un desayuno temprano el dia de la carrera (café y fruta)

Mal servicio en general. el cuarto tenia una ventana que no tenia vista no contaba con refrigerador pequeño solicite uno pero me fue negado Mobiliario viejo de las habitaciones Se fue la luz y el agua en el hotel durante varias horas Solicite un check in 1hr mas temprano porque traia a mi bebe y me fue negado Sin servicio de Concierge me informaron que tenia que ser cliente Premium para otorgarme ese servicio

No tenian internet, y tardaron mucho en el check in, aun cuando ya habia hecho la reservación previamente por booking.com. Y además se interrumpió la luz eléctrica al estarme secando el cabello.

Las camas son muy cómodas y que está en una muy buena ubicación cerca de la plaza principal y algunos corredores para ver las calles principales de la ciudad.

El hotel se siente muy viejo, el piso del elevador rechinaba al entrar y es demasiado pequeño. El área del baño está en malas condiciones, el extractor de aire no funcionaba y la bañera era difícil de usar ya que no funcionaba al 100% la manija que abre la regadera. También el televisor ya era antiguo. La persona encargada del check in, con audífonos y escondido. Tenías que tocar el escritorio para que saliera alguien. La verdad esperaba algo mejor, para la cadena que es Marriot.

El desayuno me dijeron que estaba incluido pero solo una parte, hay alimentos que no los incluye. Esta mal porque no es barato. Deberia incluirlos

Desayuno incluido fue la reservacion pero tuve que pagar 900 pesos mas por mis hijos. El lavabo del baño estaba tapado

Entra mucha luz por unos tragaluces del baño, la cual entra al cuarto, no se puede bloquear.

La atención de su personal tanto en restaurant como en valet parking.

Carlos de recepción: un grosero impertinente que no merece estar trabajando en el sector servicios si le molesta dar buen servicio.

Las fundas de las almohadas estaban sucias y el inodoro estaba tapado.

Desde el principio muy mal servicio, mi habitación no tenía conectada la TV al internet, tuve que hacerlo yo. Reporte tanto lo de la TV como que el teléfono no servía, tuve que llamar desde mi celular a recepción varias veces para reportarlo y para pedir room service y NUNCA mandaron a nadie para revisarlo. Para mí mala suerte olvidé unos lentes de ver y dijeron que no los encontraron. Las toallas del baño todas rotas.

Me hospedé 2 noches. El staff muy amigable y servicial. Entra mucha luz por las noches a las recámaras por el baño. Noté en otra habitación que tenía una persiana tipo black out para evitar esto pero mi habitación no la tenía. La secadora de cabello no funcionaba y tampoco el teléfono del cuarto. Quise hacer un pedido de room service y tuve que ir al lobby a hacer mi pedido.

Hospitality was top-notch and place clean and safe. Pillows were a little thick for my liking, pool was average at best but overall it was delightful experience.

The prooerty is old and needs some updating. Carpet in bedroom is old and dirty.

Every time I go to Torreón I always stay in this hotel. I like how it looks clean and comfortable.

Me encantó que no tenian a alguien que me llevara a mi habitación al hacer check-in, realmente es algo que odio de los hoteles cuando te forzan a recibir esa ayuda que a mi consideración es innecesaria en la mayoria de los casos. La atención en mostrador fué muy amable en ambas ocasiones (registro y salida). Algo lamentable es que no cuenten con desayuno gratuito considerando el costo por noche, y los costos en el menú son bastante altos. A primera vista el hotel es muy bonito y está ordenado/decorado de una forma placentera, pero se ve que le falta mantenimiento al edificio, aunque no es algo que realmente afecte la estancia. La habitación es amplia y muy limpia, el baño también es gradable y espacioso, y las camas son bastante cómodas. En resumen, es una buena opción y lo volvería a considerar para estancias futuras.

The staff was the best. Specifically the bartender at the bar and all the waiters. The Valet guys were so nice. Everyone just made you feel welcomed!

Instalaciones buenas, las habitaciones ya necesita una remodelación para estar aún mejor. Buena ubicación muy sabroso el desayuno. Buena las bebidas con costo extra, aquí no existe el Todo incluido. Me volvería a quedar pero porque no hay algo en la ciudad aunque hay otros hoteles más económicos con los mismos servicios.

This is one of the most dated Marriott properties that I have stayed at. This was my second time at the hotel this year, and it seems that no fixing or updating has been done since I was there in April. The staff was attentive, but the hotel facilities are not up to par.

Very outdated. Rooms had an “old smell”. The shower was very, very old. Double rooms are large, but we had requested a single bed room and they said those are not guaranteed. Restaurant staff is very helpful and the food is good. We would not stay here again.

The breakfast was delicious, the food was amazing. The staff was very friendly.

Some of the valet parking employees were smoking outside the hotel before getting our car, my husband is asthmatic and that triggered an attack.

The place was pleasing to the eyes, however not having hot water for a nice shower really made it hard to enjoy. Also the bathroom lights in the windows keep the room too bright to get into a deep sleep. So I give it a poor rating because of the cold showers and sleepless nights.

Location over charged me 500+ pesos for a cup off coffee because breakfast was only for 4 people and a friend of mine came to wish us a far well trip.

I think i got robbed by the waitresses in breakfast for over charging me. Also tried calling over 20 times beacuse i forgot a shirt with money in it and they never answered the phone i was in room 1412

Loved the bathroom in these rooms,the shower is separate from the bathtub and has lots of room,comfortable bed and pillows,only wish the mini fridge would work and also needs an ice machine,I had to ask for ice every night and a couple of times they run out of ice.

The pool had icy water, and its water heaters were off. They said you should ask for it 48 hours in advance! That isn't nice when you select the hotel because of its indoor pool for the kids.

Very friendly staff, excellent food and service

I’ve stayed here many times due to the convenience of the location. The hotel is nice in the common areas, but very dated in the condition of the rooms. Being a Marriot, you still expect certain standards with conditions and service. However this stay was by far the worse and will likely be my last. I was in for a 4 night stay this time. The first night, my room's AC unit was not working, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly, 2 very essential needs for a comfortable stay. I had already unpacked upon my arrival, so I asked that they check it out and fix it. They were very polite and I went about my day, when I returned that night, the problems had not been fixed. This continued to happen for the next 3 days with no resolution. As I was only coming back for the hotel at night, by the time I realized that the issue was still not resolved, It was too late and inconvenient to ask to be moved (which they should’ve proactively offered up on my 2nd request on day 2). On my 3rd request, they offered to send maintenance to the room with me, I walked with the maintenance technician and showed him exactly how the AC was blowing warm air, and the toilet handle did not work properly causing me to have to flush 3-4 times at a time before everything flushed down properly. The most disappointing part is although everyone is nice enough, not a single employee proactively tried to actually resolve the issue or offer any kind of compensation, or even just a sincere apology for the mishaps.

Torren difficult to get in and out but Marriot easy to get in and out on Cuota. Straight in Straight out. Lots of gas stations on route. Easy parking. Meal prices expensive but chicken place across street. Very good ane economical. Stay there on our way to Mazatlan.

The property needs capital improvements to fix the ceiling and get rid of the black mold in the open foyer area. Some parts look like they are going to fall off.

The attention of the waiter at the restaurant and also de they changed me from one room to another but they didn’t explained why they simple sent someone to help us with the suitcases.

Hotel was probably the gold standard when it was new, unfortunately the rooms are a bit dated. Lobby looks great when you come in, staff is awesome, however we may choose to stay somewhere else during our next trip.

Platinum Marriot Member. Terrible experience HIDDEN FEES DO NOT STAY HERE. Made a reservation at Marriott's webpage for 1 adult - 2 kids (ages 12 &15) - Marriotts webpage explicitly requests for the kids ages and includes as child all ages from 2 to 17 y/o. When checking-in the Mr. Roberto (Reception manager) charged an additional fee for my 15 y/o daughter. Not completely understood this person reasoning as if the initial reservation was made for 3 adults instead of 1 adult 2 kids would have been the same price. So he was actually charging more for having a child. Because of this unexpected cost, I asked this person to cancel the reservation so I could look for another hotel, but he did not allowed as the reservation cancellation window had lapsed . So there was no alternative but to stay and pay the additional hidden fee.

Booking said one price and when we got to the hotel we had to paid doble because taxes and all the feed that booking don’t tell or charge for it.

The property is fine. The room functioned OK. Water pressure was not; the water trickled out of the shower. The bathtub had no drain plug and was unusable. My big issue with the Marriott in Torreón is the currency scam. They quoted my rate in US$ but converted the US$ to Pesos at a crazy 20 pesos to the $ rate, a 12.6% surcharge. Marriott in no way disclosed the surcharge in advance - this is a scam. They did not agree to honor the quoted US$ price. I urge visitors to demand a booking price in pesos or to not book. Marriott is in deep legal trouble in the USA for hidden fees and these Mexican properties are flagrantly adding undisclosed fees despite the legal issues at HQ. I had the same currency scam issue last night at another Marriott property in Mexico.

staff was absolutely amazing and attentive to anything we needed. Facilities was clean and up to date. everything was excellent. We ordered food to be delivered and was taking it to our rooms and they stopped us and invited us to eat our food in the resteraunt. I ordered one of each of their desserts after we ate and they were all amazing! It was probably the friendliest and most attentive staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. I’ve never had people so willing to assist in any way when we’re staying in hotels in the US. It was my first time in Mexico, as I was there with my wife visiting her family and our stay at the Marriot Torreón was really wonderful and made our trip much more enjoyable.

there was nothing we did not like. it was an excellent stay at this hotel.
