The park setting and ambience are simply exceptional! We truly loved, loved the fact that the PanMen Scenic Spot is literally in our backyard! Attached 2 photos of the PanMen for your viewing pleasure. The restaurants are also simply outstanding

Overall it’s good. Breakfast should have more varieties. Rooms are big.

Personal preference, the bed was too soft for me and causes me to have backaches. Also there’s no tissues papers available in the whole room. Should also have more rubbish bin.

The hotel is a little way out so need to travel by car however its setting is divine with easy access to the Panmen Scenic parklands- incredible. Worth visiting at night as it is so beautiful with the temple and pagoda lit up. Taking the panoramic scenic canal cruise was well so good- amazing water ways, culture and history. The live performances of traditional music, song and dance were amazing.The hotel is huge so lots to explore. The bonus was the self service laundry.

We had some difficulty in communicating with staff at the concierge desk and while we were using translation they really found it hard to help us. So not as easy to navigate.

The hotel itself is very good. It has great breakfast and offers access to very beautiful gardens.

But the rooms and the hallways are full of cigarette smoke. We got our room that was super smelly of cigarettes and we asked at the reception to change it since we booked a non smoking room, they changed it ,it was a little bit better ,but we still couldn't sleep because every time we turn we were walking up because of the terrible smell of cigarettes , disgusting...

The room was exceptionally spacious and clean. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. A shout out to Wang Lu at the front office for helping us place an order through Meituan. She offered to use her personal phone when she realized we didn't have a local number. We arrived late on the first night and rushed to Hai Tien Lo for dinner just before they called it a day. Delicious food. We loved the self service laundry room that had 6 washers and 6 dryers. The garden next to the hotel was beautiful and instagram-worthy! There were several noodles shops and a grocery cum snack shop just across the road. Cross with care.

Good size of the room we booked. Feel comfortable to stay with the elderly and the 6-year-old boy. Room is very nice and clean. Especially the staff name is Ailian Fang(方爱莲）who's really really polite and helpful. She made us feel like home.

The hotel itself is inside a heritage attraction. There is a 20-30min introduction of the surrounding and also recommendation of sightseeing spots nearby hotel and within Suzhou ancient spots. Just that they used the word TOUR so was quite misleading as I thought it will be a walking tour around the hotel. The introduction was 10.30am and 3pm daily.

The swimming pool was not the kind of leisure friendly. It was mainly used for swim classes and it was not fun at all. The hotel itself doesn't have strong security as basically anyone can walk thru the hotel and even follow until the room corridor. Hopefully they have a way to make the hotel more secured. The breakfast venue ventilator was not that good as the whole restaurant has very strong oily deep fried smell.

Location isn’t great, local taxi requires to go to the tourist places. Breakfast is fine but not many western options.

The entire hotel was beautiful and very much as advertised. While the building was slightly old, they maintained it really well. Location was great as it was close to shops to get food and snacks.

Maybe staff could have been a little friendlier but I would attribute that to language barrier.

Lovely property with beautiful rooms and two excellent swimming pools, indoor and outdoor. Our particular thanks to the Life Guard who befriended our son. The Chinese restaurant on the first floor, and the Japanese sushi restaurant on the second floor are both very good. Thank you!

Great location in town centre. Closest underground station is around 7 minutes walk away. The hotel itself includes various facilities, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. The hotel offers various perks, including free visits to the Panmen Scenic Area, which would normally cost 40 RMB per person, a photoshoot with Chinese historic dress, which I highly recommend. Photoshoot is a must-do in Suzhou and I am pleased by the services provided by the Hanfu Shop in the hotel (吴宫汉服馆). The staff are very well trained and can speak English. But do remember to book in advance if you want to try it out as they are extremely busy.

Although breakfast offers a wide variety, including both Chinese and western food, the sausages, bacon, and beans could be improved.

-Stunning Architecture & Location: The traditional Suzhou garden-style construction is absolutely gorgeous and feels like staying inside a historical landmark. The location is very convenient for exploring the area. -Friendly Staff: Throughout both of our visits, the hotel team was consistently warm, welcoming, and helpful. -Hanfu Photography Experience: A huge highlight for our family was the Hanfu dress-up photography (汉服摄影). Our child had an incredible time doing the photoshoot against the traditional backdrop of the hotel grounds. -First Stay Room: During our initial stay of four nights our room faced the pool, which offered a lovely view and is convenient.

- Room Location (Second Stay): During our second stay (a longer 6-night visit), we were assigned a room all the way in the back facing nearby residential buildings. Compared to our pool-view room, the ambiance felt much less special. -Overcrowded Pool: The pool area gets extremely busy and was packed with children during our stay, making it difficult to relax or swim laps. Many kids are not hotel guests but taking swimming lessons there.

Struttura grande con ampi spazi verdi che trasmettono un atmosfera rilassante in un ambiente elegante. Camera ampia, super pulita e ben accessoriata con diversi comfort (ciabatte , spazzolino, rasoio..). Acqua e bibite a disposizione nel frigo bar. Per raggiungere i maggiori punti di interesse è comoda la metro ma è molto conveniente e comodo anche il taxi.

Que le Pan Pacific est lui seul une sorte de petit village tellement c’est grand, le personnel est souriant et gentil.

C’était loin en transport en commun de tout les lieux que l’on voulait faire, il a fallu que l’on se déplace beaucoup en didi

Bellissima esperienza al Pan Pacific Suzhou. Hotel moderno ma molto caratteristico, immerso in un’atmosfera che richiama i meravigliosi giardini classici di Suzhou. Posizione eccellente per scoprire la città e davvero suggestivo l’accesso diretto alla zona storica di Pan Gate. Camere confortevoli, ottimi servizi e personale sempre gentile e disponibile. Assolutamente consigliato il ristorante italiano con lo chef Ilario !!

It’s an amazing hotel to stay at. You’ll feel like you’re staying in an old castle. The breakfast buffet offers a great variety of international food. There is also a garden entrance at the back of the hotel, where you can enjoy shows and explore local markets. A beautiful and unique experience overall.

There is no room service after around 9–10 PM, which can be inconvenient for travelers checking in late. If you arrive late, you may need to go out or order food through a delivery app. The hotel is also quite far from the main entertainment areas, so you will most likely need to use DiDi to get around.

La poscina es bonita, pero los locales lo ven como zona de clases de natacion, te tienes que olvidar de ello y disfrutar, ojo para la exterior te piden gorro.....no tiene sentido, bueno disfrutar....

Generous room and nice service. Very good food from different hotel-restaurants. Good facilities for family like the pool and a beautiful garden.

The pool opens for public which makes it less quiet. The children’s playing room can need an upgrade. It’s too warm for three people to share one big quilt. Better offering three small single quilts.

Like a grand lady, the Pan Pacific in Suzhou is a classical hotel for Chinese tradition Suzhou style. Right next to a panoramic view, widespread breakfast options, recognisable brand in suzhou, pan pacific Suzhou checks all the boxes if you like an all in one Suzhou experience. During off peak hours 2-6pm, the restaurants are closed but that’s when the round the corner award-winning noodle store is it. Rooms are comfortable, somewhat dated but it goes with the traditional Chinese style of the hotel. Has 2 pools - one indoor and one outdoors and beautiful gardens and little nooks to amble in.

This hotel is a magical experience - blending top five star quality and luxury with Suzhou culture and beauty. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Suzhou and/or areas close (like Shanghai). This hotel really made an impression on me, and we will always stay here in the future whenever we visit Suzhou in the future. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

四人房有2套衛浴設備，而且有門可以隔開，很棒。

有洗衣設備很好，但是使用說明不是很清楚，最後大排長龍洗衣服，有的人操作錯誤洗的太久，佔太多時間。

Struttura stupenda accanto ad un parco meraviglioso. Camere ampie e pulite. Ottimo staff e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Colazione a buffet abbondante e varia.

Tutti i servizi dell'hotel, compresi ristoranti e ba,r chiudono alle 21.00. Non c'è possibilità di bere un drink o mangiare uno snack dopo quell'ora. Peccato perché il giardino è meraviglioso e sarebbe stato bello bere qualcosa là dopo cena.

Un lieu féerique d une qualité exceptionnelle de très belles chambres avec accès privé au Panmen parc pour les clients , un petit déjeuner digne d un roi et un personnel au petits soins , que du bonheur !

Ne pas y être resté plus longtemps (1 nuit) et hélas son éloignement des principales attractions de cette magnifique ville de Suzhou (le métro s arrête vers 22h30)

A beautiful hotel unlike any other international brands. Unique architecture, low rise and spread out over large land area. Being the first international hotel established in Suzhou, it held much history with photographs and displayed lots of memorable pictures along the corridors. Buffet breakfast spread was extensive and good seating set ups with large glass window view to the garden. Check in counter staff spoke excellent English. Very good value for a 5 star hotel.

My room was located very far from the lobby and breakfast area. Right at the far end, long walk. Not so convenient for senior citizens . our van was not allowed to drive up to the lobby area to drop off or collect our luggages.

Toiletterne bærer præg af at det er et ældre hotel. Rengøringen kunne have været bedre, bl.a. vandkogeren var beskidt og et klistret køleskab. Toilettet i vores værelse stank af kloak, så vi fik skiftet til et nyt være.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, abgenutzt, muffiger Badezimmergeruch und verdient als ehemaliges Sheraton keine 5 Sterne mehr. Personal ist nicht entgegenkommend und eher auf Abfertigung von Reisegruppen trainiert. Man fühlt sich nicht willkommen.

The breakfast spread was vast (the biggest we've experienced from all the hotels we stayed in while in China) and offered both Chinese and continental. The hotel itself is a beautiful property, unlike any other I have been to. Bridges, ponds and the works. If you are coming to Suzhou, you have to stay at this property. Everywhere else in China you would land up in large buildings. This place has character. And guest get free access to gardens and a pagoda night show. The bed was very large and really comfortable. I'm pointing this out because we had a toddler sleep between us parents and for the first time there was enough space and more for all of us to sleep 'alone'. The hotel staff are very friendly (but we experienced this all over China). One more thing, the hotel is just a short walk to the metro Xinshiqiao and there's no real need for Didi/taxis, unless you have luggage.

The decoration and environment. I stayed for 3 nights in a premium balcony twin bed room. They gave us a room on 3rd floor, just near the lobby building front desk, it’s so convenient, with good view of everything. The breakfast is very good, with good view of the garden from the breakfast hall. Can come back for a long weekend stay in future I think.

The staff very helpful. I very thankful for miss Polly for helping my parents when they are lost inside the hotel.

The place is beautiful and right beside a wonderful garden. Breakfast was sumptuous.

My room was right beside the swimming pool. People were gathering just one step outside my room. I could even smell their cigarette smoke through the window and hear every word. This room really shouldn’t be given to anyone.

L’hôtel est très bien , propre . L’emménagement du jardin et le petit déjeuner sont exceptionnels. Le côté bonus, c’est que panmen scénic area est limitrophe à l’hôtel et que les clients de l’hôtel bénéficient l’entrée gratuite à ce parc. C’est un parc magnique à couper le souffle.

It was an attraction on its own, and had a great ambiance to experience the culture.

To most of the attractions, it was easier to hire DIDI (uber rides) than to get public transports (bus/trains). Not as convenient, but that’s the least of our concern.

The hotel is just wonderful and amazing. It is so cool that the pan men scenic area can be visited for free and on top in summer there are even night shows to watch.

Excellent hotel, although on the far south side of the city (with most the city's sites in the north) it is worth a Didi drive as it is sensitively integrated in the city walls and has an access to incredibly beautiful Scenic Area - large garden/park with historic buildings, pagodas and a lake. Most importantly, it offers rooms with balconies, allowing its guests to enjoy evening drink al fresco (rare in China). Unfortunately no furniture are provided on the balconies and have to be dragged from the rooms. Breakfast is a sumptuous affair but getting food in the afternoon is not easy - most of its restaurants are closed, also on weekend's evenings - quite bizarre as these are the days many people eat out.

The location was great. The architecture and Suzhou-style gardens within the hotel grounds were impressive.

The bathroom emitted a foul odor at times.

The hotel is a classic building with multiple wings. The rooms have a great views across the gardens and were spacious and comfortable. The staff were mixed in terms of being helpful - something we found common in China over the past few years. However mostly they were friendly. Breakfasts were busy but quite a good selection of food. Best feature was the Sun Ray Italian restaurant - not run by the hotel - but wonderful dinners. The large gardens out the back are well worth walking around and are a feature of the hotel.

The indoor pool was not appealing and really not usable given it seemed to constantly have swimming lessons happening. Internet was okay but the restrictions on the access to sites seemed worse here than at other hotels.

The hotel has a great location on the side of a magnificent garden park. The buildings are interesting and while the layout is complex, rooms all have a view over gardens and ponds. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, breakfasts were good and the staff were generally helpful and friendly. The indoor pool was not appealing and not really usable given there were people using it for swim lessons. Sun Ray Italian restaurant is great for dinner.

The hotel is clean and nice, and the room is big. Many facilities including laundry services. Best part I like is the tourist attraction “Pan Garden” at the back of the hotel which is free entry if you are staying at the hotel. And there is fabulous light show of the pagoda. I would come again to stay.

I love the architecture. It feels like living in a palace. Great location in Gusu. Quiet.

The pool needs some upkeep and some of the rooms have not yet been refurbished. Definitely aged.

Cultural and roomy. The breakfast was good, with lots of space for guests. The view was green and is a good place to relax. The laundry room was a great bonus. The cleaning staff were the best!

Room fittings were older and smoking from other rooms spread to ours unfortunately.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Pan Pacific Suzhou. The hotel is beautiful and features traditional Chinese architecture, giving it a unique character and atmosphere that sets it apart from more modern hotels. The corridors are decorated with elegant and tasteful Chinese decorative objects, and the entire property feels like a blend of a hotel and a cultural experience. The hotel is quite large and somewhat labyrinthine, so it can take a little time to find your way around. However, everything is very well maintained, including the lovely garden areas, which provide a peaceful environment for a stroll or a moment of relaxation. We stayed in a Family Room, which was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The room was comfortable and well suited for a family stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a particularly impressive selection of Asian dishes. Guests interested in experiencing local and regional flavors will be very satisfied. There was also a good variety of Western breakfast options, so everyone could find something they liked. The staff were friendly and courteous throughout our stay. The only area that could be improved was the concierge service. Given the international standard of the hotel, I would have expected the concierge to speak at least a little English and to provide more detailed information and directions when requested. The hotel is located slightly away from the main food streets and tourist dining areas. A taxi ride of about 10 minutes is enough to reach the city’s most popular restaurants and food districts. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with great character and excellent facilities. We would happily stay here again when visiting Suzhou.

On a hindsight we would have preferred a more central location, as we always prefer to move on foot, however the hotel makes it up for it.

This is a truly unique hotel that offers a rich historical and cultural atmosphere. The suite, complete with a kitchenette, provides a comfortable and home-like stay. The complimentary self-service laundry facilities are also a valuable convenience. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of both Chinese and Western dishes, along with several local specialties, providing guests with an enjoyable and well-rounded dining experience.

It is a big surrounding and a lot of garden areas. However some areas/buildings may need refreshing to enhance ever better experiences
