The room was good. Didn't get to use the facilities like we wanted to due to time (other appointments).

The buffet breakfast could be better. Most of the hot food was lukewarm and they ran out of fried and scrambled eggs. Had to wait.

Breakfast I found mediocre, cold over cooked bacon, mushrooms and sausage. The eggs looked like they had been out too long, and the croissants were of poor quality also. Both coffee machine were so slow. Waiter had bad B.O.

I tried calling the room service for half an hour straight. Eventually I had to go down to the restaurant to put in the order. The food arrived in good time, but there was no salt and pepper or any other condiments. It was very dry. And served in a hurry.

Our bathroom smelt used not fresh. Only had a quarter of a toilet roll and NO spares.

The bed was very comfortable. We had a large room with a nice view of the gardens. There was a good choice at breakfast.

Breakfast was a good selection of the usual fayre with "healthy" options available (eg fruit, non-dairy milk). The room was a standard double with 2 basic seats for a tea/coffee and a writing desk. Staff were pleasant and friendly.

The room could have had 2 lounge chairs plus an upright chair for the writing desk. As we're a little older, we would rather have had a walk-in shower than having to step over into a bath. The kettle was past its prime.

We were told that after our check out we could still continue to use the facilities including the pool. The pool staff said asked us to get out after we had only been on 10 mins as my daughter was 16 and apparently it had just gone into adult time , even though the front desk had told us we could use it , after a very lovely stay we left with a sour taste in our mouths

The services provided and breakfast are fabulous, everything on the menu is served fresh, and staff are always at hand willing to help if there is anything that you need. I was also impressed to find that it is a pet friendly hotel.

Noise. Doors don’t soft close. Constant banging. You can hear your neighbours toilet flush…. Lots of dogs. My socks got dog hair on them in my room. Yuck. Dog excrement in the grounds. Resturant was overwhelmed by large groups on short lunches scrambling to get food. Layout was nice for a stead flow but not for large groups.

Het ontbijt was uitstekend, met veel keus en heerlijke koffie. De ligging is ook er fraai, rustig en met enorm veel groen om het hotel heen.

Beautiful venue and outside views, spacious, clean, quite, warm and welcoming, plenty of zones additional to my for lounging, refreshments, conversation or chill time.

Although the room was great - clean, spacious, well decorated, resourced and comfortable, it was a bit dark, even with the curtains fully open. More natural daylight would've improved the experience. This was probably due to a ground floor room with large trees overhead. Maybe these can be pruned back to allow for more light. My shower wasn't very hot in the morning either, although my family members' was in another room.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the leisure facilities were good, especially the games room. The grounds were lovely.

The hotel should have highlighted more that It was a dog friendly hotel. We did not like the fact that a gentleman took his dog with him to get the food from the self service breakfast. We saw quite a few dogs and had at one point to speak to a lady who was opposite us on the first floor as they had left a dog in their room whilst going for dinner in the evening and the dog yapped loudly for about twenty minutes until she came to check on it. We don’t dislike dogs but feel that there should be a particular part of the hotel reserved for people who bring dogs. The hotel was very busy with two large groups as well as one of the restaurants being out of action, we don’t feel that there were enough staff. We had booked our meal on the Saturday night for 7.30pm and were only having a main meal - this took nearly an hour to arrive.

Looked nice from the outside but you don’t actually stay in the hall. It’s the building to the left which is like an addition to the building. Food was nice in the restaurant and staff friendly

Bar was like a sports bar, no music, no ambiance. Gave wine in thick stem and wide rim glasses which reminded me of Wetherspoons. Two large events on and clearly not enough space to host everyone with the restaurant being closed, we had to eat breakfast in the hallway! Spa changing rooms dirty. Plastic chairs around the swimming pool. No WiFi in the hotel rooms if you are staying right at the back of the hotel so be warned.

Free use of the leisure centre. Great breakfast. Great food. Beautiful place. Spotless. Fantastic staff. What's not to like .me and my husband spent 3 days here and we're booking again soon.

Lovely range of facilities ie swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room included. Really good breakfast with plenty of choices and eat as much as you like…. Nice coffee too and take away cups, which was great. Moder decor with plenty of grounds and parking was free.

If have to be slightly negative the mattress was quite hard, in room coffee and tea was slightly dusty as was the tv remote!

Room wasn't clean, carpet not vacuumed, biscuit wrapper on the floor together with someone else's clothes tags. Wrote in the dust especially on the lamps. Only one tea bag to last our stay! Extremely noisy throughout the night. Other guests had no respect to keep the noise down and weren't reminded by any signage

The breakfast had limited variety of bread and pastries. There was no cheese at all. The swimming pool was divided lengthwise by a rope, with one section for children and the other only for adults.

Rooms were comfortable. Spa and gym facilities were good, although as it is also used by local residents children cannot access until the afternoon, which unfortunately meant we couldn't use them more than once due to being out all day with family.

Our daughters room (238) smelled of damp and there was an obvious sign of a water leak on the ceiling. Breakfast was good but there was a function on the Friday and the following morning the hotel had set out 2 large tables for those guests right next to the food and drinks making it difficult for other guests to access. We had come down 10 minutes after opening and most of tbe initial offering had been taken. The staff were over worked and we had to wait a while for more food to be brought out. Also tables were left uncleared for a while.and other guests were waiting for tablesnor had to sit in the lobby. We were told by staff to go out to the coffee bar/bar area approx. 50m or so.away from.the restaurant to locate clean cutlery. It would be better to sit large gatherings in their own area so other guests aren't affected.

Location is great, not too far from M1 junction and close to town centre if you fancy eating and drinking elsewhere.

The bed-singles pushed together with a topper to cover the gap.

The property is outdated, including the bedrooms, arrived early to use the facilities to find them not open, this was due to the staff member being late.

Bed was awful,no privacy you could here everything from surrounding rooms,the doors slammed constantly,the bed was crap,breakfast was in a depressing room with drawn curtains,the shower was awful.

We had a family room which was just a double room with a camp bed . The beds were very uncomfortable which meant we didn’t sleep well for both nights . This hotel has potential with the lovely grounds but don’t feel they are making the most of it

I would NOT recommend this hotel. We visited in late August for one night. To start with, the receptionist was not very welcoming. Our room was ok - a bit dusty and damaged but not awful. I went to the gym and - again - the staff were not friendly. The gym was very hot. We went for a drink in the bar before dinner and it was so noisy. People were vaping in the bar and you had to wait ages to get served. People were going out using the fire doors and it kept slamming. There was also a wedding and the music from their room blared out every time someone left or entered the room. The dinner was nice and staff friendly. The breakfast was chaotic. I asked about getting a vegetarian sausage and the waitress said she’d would check. She didn’t come back to me - despite waiting 20 minutes. The food wasn’t properly marked and it ran out. There was clearly no one in charge and, on leaving, the receptionist didn’t even say goodbye!

It was lovely! And they were very attentive to my requests to add some birthday treats for my partner. We had a most delicious pizza too from the bar menu. Great spa.

Had very bad expierence with one of our meals waited 50 minutes for food when it came it was cold. It was taken away then brought back after a few minutes still was,nt right we complained and were given a refund but spoilt our evening , being a diabetic i need meals at set times

The service was honestly a shambles and it was clear that the management need a serious review. Short staffed on reception at check in, only one person working on her own when check in opened at 2pm, huge queues- she was clearly overworked, understaffed and completely fed up. One of our rooms was also 45 mins late for check in as it was not clean. The bar was not staffed, only 1 person when we went and it was a really long wait. The restaurant was closed for refurbishment, but no mention of this when booking. The result was that food was served in a conference suite, on plastic picnic tables, no windows. Honestly, it was very poor indeed. Breakfast was chaotic and very messy, plus one of our party has been very ill from the food. I hope the senior management team improve things, all the teenage/young staff were incredibly unhappy, overworked and having to work in unacceptable conditions which resulted in really poor service indeed. I don’t blame the young staff, it is absolutely a management issue. It was a very disappointing stay and we strongly recommend you do not stay here.

The pool was a little cold.

Driving from Gloucestershire to Leeds there and back in a day is getting too much, especially with today's traffic. Due to family illness we need to make this journey fairly regular now, so Eastwood Hall looked like a good place to stop. This place looks great, just the sort of place we like, non chain and in a grand setting. How underwhelmed we were, 2 night stay, and this is the last time we will do this. This place looks to cater for large wedding parties, entertainment groups and gatherings. The rooms were well equipped but dated and the bed linen was dubious, it is either old or the linen company has not got a very good wash or does not quality check. There is piles of dust around the shelves by the bed. You will not get a peaceful nights sleep, large groups returning to rooms late at night or early hours with no regard for other residents. We Looked forward to a relaxing evening and an early evening meal, we have to eat early because of digestions problems, we sat at 6.30, then by 7.40, still no dinner, and yet people around us who sat after us had got their meals! We also noticed several other groups and couples in the room who were having similar experiences waiting long periods for meals. After a 3rd conversation to ask where is the meal, and almost being served the wrong meal, we strongly suspect the chef had lost the order! Nobody senior came out to discuss or check to see what was going on. The young waiter who served us and the waitress who lastly engaged with us after we had got her attention were both amazing, lovely well mannered people and very calm and apologetic, they were evidently embarrassed by the whole event, a contrast to the waitress who tried to give us the wrong meal, she almost gave the impression it was amusing with no apology! Buffet breakfast in a large establishments great, no fault there but quality of food was questionable. Clearly the focus is on catering for a mass volume of people probably still intoxicated who would not know the difference in quality anyway. Exiting the property in the car there is a security barrier, as you drive up to it, it does not go up. There is no suggestion as to how the barrier should go up, so after several presses of a button on the right side of the car attached to a post, the barrier goes up. There is no mention of the process at reception regarding exiting the car park. Nobody on reception in the morning to hand back the keys to and to have an opportunity to provide feedback or ask any questions, good job I knew where I was going but surely many people staying there could be from overseas and would welcome some attentive care.

An hour to wait for meal in restaurant one night.

We stayed here for a wedding with 2 dogs. The facilities for both humans and dogs were great. The grounds are extensive for plenty of room for the dogs to burn off energy with plenty of bins for the dog poop bags. There were also complimentary doggie treats in the room. The breakfast choices covered all bases with hot and cold options and the staff were helpful and friendly. And the wedsing event was well catered for.

Leisure facilities.

At 9am the breakfast was a bit of a let down. Both coffee machines were down. One had no water to make yoúr own with a sachet. Then no milk for cereal or hot drinks. As the buffet had started to run out, staff were busy having things cooked when asked.. The coffee machines are good but slow and queues built up when busy.

Nice hotel. However, the dining room was closed, so we were in a conference room which was not very nice. Another fault would be the EV charge point not working- unable to charge our car. Not acceptable.

Some of the decor and facilities were a bit shabby and lacked basic finiishing touches. The interior of the hotel lacked atmosphere and ambience, we actually went out the second night as the dining room was so dull.

Sadly that was the only complaint I would have.After retiring from the catering trade after 50 years.i tend not to find fault with food.The food was not hot enough.The food was topped up on a regular basis but the problem was it was poured on top of the older stuff,so it was making it deteriorate .But over all it was good ,with quality products.not a lot of improvement needed.
