Beautiful views from the rooms. Large comfortable bedrooms Bath

The noise between rooms was not very good, we were next to our children so didn’t matter and hotel is quiet.

Un grand merci à toute l’équipe de l’hôtel pour son aide et son organisation ! Plusieurs de nos excursions avaient été annulées au dernier moment, mais le personnel s’est vraiment mobilisé pour nous aider à en réserver de nouvelles. Ils se sont également occupés de réserver notre taxi pour le retour à l’aéroport, ce que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.

À titre d’information, l’hôtel est un peu éloigné du centre-ville. Une navette est proposée, ce qui est très pratique, mais avec les températures très froides pendant notre séjour, la distance nous a parfois découragées de ressortir le soir. Cela correspondait néanmoins tout à fait au type de séjour calme que nous recherchions.

Não tem nada que eu não gostei, mas para pontuar aqui o hotel fica num lugar muito alto, então precisa disposição para andar até o centro. Mas como eu gosto isso não foi problema

Tout était nickel. Les chambres très spacieuses et très propres avec un très grand confort. Le personnel est charmant et correspond bien à la convivialité du cadre. L’emplacement est un peu loin de la ville, mais il y a un super service de navette très bon marché. Nous avons passé un séjour extraordinaire en Patagonie grâce à La Cantera.

Seul petit hic, le bain à remous ne fonctionnait pas correctement, mais c’est un détail.

La Tina del baño genial y la vista, una vista hermosa desde la habitación, se aprecia muy bien el lago y las montañas.

El desayuno siempre el mismo si duras mas de 3 días te cansas de comer siempre lo mismo y las camas muy pequeñas si mides mas de 1.80 y eres grande la cama te queda chica.

Una excelente estadía con habitación impecable y amplia, cama muy cómoda, el baño con todo lo necesario y lindo. Desayuno delicioso, justo fue el día de mi cumpleaños y sin decirles me llevaron una torta con vela al desayuno. Lo aprecié bastante. La cena del hotel a la noche un 10! Todo el personal muy amable!!

Se escuchaba un poco las voces de los huéspedes de la habitación de al lado pero la verdad no molestaba.

Desayuno contundente y todo bastante limpio y ordenado, además el personal muy amable.

La tv se veía un poco mal, pero nada que afecte la estadía en el hotel, total solo lanocupabamos en las noches.

Sve je odlično. Čisto, odličan i jako dobar i raznovrsan doručak, a za večeru moguće naručiti finu juhu od bundeve i enciladu od janjetine po dobroj cijeni. U kupaonici topla i po potrebi tko voli vruća voda za opuštanje nakon dugog trekinga (ima čep za kadu). Lokacija je na povišenom lijepom mjestu. Veliki supermarket odmah pored. Za u centar ima prijevoz ili birate dužu šetnju do centra (15 min) i bus terminala(25 min).

Sve je super. Jedino što nema prozora za otvoriti već se moraju otvoriti vrata od terase pa ako si u prizemlju nije baš sigurno za spavanje preko noći

Su comodidad,limpieza, atención del personal siempre con buena actitud, la ubicación q un par de cuadras del centro, cerca restaurantes, parques,farmacias entre otras

It is very well located (it is on top of a hill, so you get a beautiful view). The staff was wonderful. I was loaned an adaptable charger for my phone free of charge. A staff member also came around every evening around 7h30 PM to have out a free alfajor.

I have no complaints, however, travelers should know the hill is somewhat steep, especially of coming back from the center square (though there are taxi service available).

Estuvimos 3 días sin el extractor del baño. La moquette del piso estaba más o menos. El jacuzzi de una de las habitaciones tenía dos jeta que no funcionaban.

Habitaciones amplias. Desayuno incluido.

Demoraron 3 días en arreglar el extractor que era la única ventilación del baño. El jacuzzi no funcionan dos jets.

Hotel com bom café da manhã, quartos grandes, com linda vista do lago. Ótimo para quem está de carro.

Pode ser longe do centro para os mais preguiçosos.

De rust was mooi. Doordat het hotel op de heuvel (maar wel dicht bij de stadskern) ligt is het zicht op lago Argentino prachtig.

Wij zaten in de kamers beneden…die hadden geen uitzicht en lagen direct aan de straat (waar overigens nauwelijks verkeer was).

The location is a bit far from the center, more than I expected when booking. But fine - it is walkable, some 15 mins uphill.

Amazing view and location. Gabriella and the rest of the stuff are very helpful and always available to assist with any queries.

La Cantera is not really a boutique hotel or a 4 * hotel. A better description would be a rustic hotel in need of some sort of renovation. The furniture show scratches that shouldn’t have been there if you considered the price for the rooms. The breakfast is ok. Enough for the morning, but still not impressive like other 4 starts places. The hotel looks clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Probably the best part of this hotel.

The staff are great. The woman who works the breakfast area is so nice. We were staying there on my wife’s birthday (Christmas Eve) and they gave her a small cake. It was really nice thing to do. Also the people who checked us in and the cleaning staff are nice. This says a lot about whomever runs this property. I also liked how there is a cat on the property who is really sweet. As long as you have a car the location is great. Beware it is about a 5 min drive up a steep hill from town or prob 15 min walk.

Charming little place, large and comfortable bed, nice decor, good breakfast.

Poorly designed bathroom produced an awful smell which leaked out into the bedroom. Very hot room and the windows were right at floor level by the entrance so didn’t feel comfortable leaving them wide open all night.

Las habitaciones eran lindas y luminosas

No es un 4 estrellas. La cena de fin de año tuvimos que pedirla con mucha antelación para un menú básico que fue pésimo, otro día fuimos a comer en el restaurante del hotel y nos dijeron que no era posible porque había 3 mesas con gente - aunque quedasen un montón libres - nos dijeron que no era posible porque “estaban desbordados”, el desayuno era muy básico, el personal nos contactaba de manera insistente por whatsapp para saber desde el día antes a qué hora saldríamos al día siguiente para poder programar ellos la limpieza de los cuartos, se supone que había un servicio de shuttle al centro y de regreso y el único día en el q quisimos hacer uso del mismo estando ya en el centro simplemente nos contestaron que justo ese día no estaba disponible…

Lovely place with gorgeous views. The rooms are beautiful and the jet bath a nice surprise! Breakfast was great - recommend the crepes with dulche de leche specifically. All staff were very friendly. Reception staff were very proactive asking us if we were sorted for our excursions each day and helping us get to Perito Moreno glacier.

Habitacion con paredes muy finitas. Se escuchaba como tenian relaciones los huspedes de la habitacion que estaba a nuestro lado. No hay privacidad.

Comfortable bed and good view

Walls were extremely thin and the room we had was right behind the Reception desk so we could hear the receptionist talking to clients and to each other into the early morning. Walls are very thin and could hear everything people said in other rooms.

Personnel très prévenant qui anticipe vos demandes!! Chambre avec une grande fenêtre sur le lac, grande et très confortable . C’est un vrai bonheur d’admirer le paysage depuis son lit! Très bon petit déjeuner

La décoration est un peu vieillotte. On entend fort la chambre d’à côté.

The room was super nice: comfy, big, nice shower, nice bed, etc. The staff is always super friendly and the breakfast is 10/10. It's not the closest to the main street, but they do provide a shuttle if needed, which is a nice perk. Otherwise, it's a short 15-min walk, give or take. We love this place!

El personal!

Really confortable rooms, generous breakfast and great views over the lago argentino. The hotel is up the hill but you can walk down to the main road (restaurants, shops etc) in 15min. After 7pm they also have an agreement with local taxis so they can take you back up the hill to the hotel for ARG $2000 per trip.

Walls were a bit thin so we could hear the neighbours arguing. Rooms were also pretty hot.

Um lugar aconchegante e com umas belas vistas do lago Argentino. Pessoal muito atencioso e um excelente café da manhã.

The hotel has a rustic feel . Feels traditional in style but furniture is scratched and damaged . Bathroom is huge but bath is cracked although this had been patched and was functional . It is up a hill out of town and although the view is great it is in an industrial type of area .

Easily the most disappointing of our many hotels in Argentina. OK, I know El Calafate isn't Buenos Aires but even so the hotel wasn't up to scratch. The rooms was big and the shower magnificent, but the whole place is dated and needs a bit of TLC. We paid extra (£49 per night) for a lake view but the hotel is miles from the lake and it just isn't worth it. In addition, I believe the non lake views had a half decent view. The hotel is also a decent walk up a very steep hill from the centre and although the hotel mentioned a shuttle we never got to grips with it. Many have mentioned the cheerful staff but apart from the lovely lady at breakfast I can't say that we found anyone to be particularly jolly. We also were charged for water from the minbar which we didn't have and if you wanted a coffee then you could order it but it was charged to your room. When we did order one we were charged for a cappuchino which we didn't have. The breakfast did include different types of egg which was good, but again, compared to our other hotels was very average.

Pasé cuatro noches hospedándome acá, sin queja. La habitación era cómoda, limpia y espaciosa. Se servía un buen desayuno. El personal fue atento con respecto a aconsejarme sobre las excursiones.
