Rooms were excellent very clean staff were very friendly prices were very reasonable
Can't say there was anything I didn't like maybe just the entertainment in the trout could have been a bit longer as it was a great night
Very friendly, food was excellent, very accommodating. Over all brilliant weekend. Good bars and music
Nothing, all was good
Hotel is in a great location, close to supermarket and shops, plenty of parking spaces.
Location food was excellent
Hard to find staff to help you waiting on bar & restaurant to order
friendly staff from the reception area, to the pool and to the bar area.
nothing
Ampio parcheggio gratuito
Arredamento antiquato, struttura da rimodernare
Very friendly staff, excellent food and service
No dislikes have stayed here and Villa Rosé before highly recommend
Irish hospitality at its best
Lovely hotel Great location Great staff
Bellissimo! Parcheggio compreso e comodissimo.
The location was really good, and there was plenty of parking. The bar staff were so friendly and the food was amazing.
The check in experience wasn't great, one staff member wasn't the most helpful on a number of occasions. There was also confusion over a sensory box I had pre-ordered the week before arrival. I was told it wasn't available when I arrived and after I had paid the €50 deposit for it, my kids were very disappointed. After awhile, reception "found one" in the back.
Excellent, efficient, and very pleasant staff in all departments
There is nothing about Jacksons Hotel that I don't like.
Very large family room with 2 Double beds. Staff were very friendly and chatty especially Flynn in the bar and the duty manager. Made us feel like locals. Food in restaurant was lovely.
Lovely room directly over reception. There was a wedding on and we could hear people leaving the wedding but reception had ear plugs which we got for the second night.
Staff were friendly, close to town centre
Room was quite far from elevator and had to go up stairs with cases. There was a vent or something outside our room which made the floor vibrate in bathroom and it was quite loud. No air con so room was quite warm.
Super
Pool and the kids loved it
The breakfast wasn't the nicest
The staff were lovely and so helpful
The parking was unclear
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Good price for a recent place
Decent buffet style breakfast. Would have would more gluten free options other than toast or cornflakes.
Had wings in the bar, which unfortunately were saturated in sauce. It made them very hard to eat and a bit sickly. Less is more.
Location, pool
Confusion with floors
Food was lovely
Room without a view - only kitchen extractor fan Dark room and TV that didn’t work.
The location was perfect. Staff were friendly helpful and courteous. Room was adequate and very clean Food was excellent and well prices
The town is pretty small not a lot to do but a good base for sightseeing. The shower could do with some attention the sealer needs replacing and not very powerful
Terrible location of the family room in the loft , unbearable heat! Awful beds and no bottles of water provided. Cold water from the taps was warm
The rooms were unbearably hot and we could only open the window slightly The showers were not good The WiFi was terrible Unable to login smart tvs, which is nice with kids to watch a movie
It was a very short stay, and fitted our needs well.
Looking out on roof of shed
Location.
The room so dated breakfast so bad restaurant was terrible for service
Food pool
They noise at night time. From the Spanish guys running up and down the corridor when my son was tryn to sleep. 2 nights this was gpinf on. Throwing bottles off water put their bedroom windows to each other.
Everything
Slight slight issue, Would have liked shower hotter. Was only warm
Beer garden beautiful
No air conditioning room had poor ventilation internal window opened to external window which houses loud noisy units assume for air conditioning but there is none in any of the rooms The staff were very young who didn’t seem to know what to do so assume not trained properly Rooms were ok but felt like sleeping in a greenhouse
The food was really nice in the bar
The leisure centre could do with a lick of paint
Good breakfast. Room was good although bit dated and a bit grubby.
Carpet in room was dirty with various stains. Shower had very little power. 2 bars both too small for number of users.
We had a beautiful room looking out on the river and the woods.
The hotel is very big and it’s quite a walk to some of the rooms.
Renovated ensuite bathroom with large walk in shower was great, clean & with a fresh feel.
The poor of the shower was week!
Staff were friendly, the room was basic and clean, bed was comfy. Had a meal during my stay, food was great and quick service!
Not so much a big issue but the radiator from about 5am making loud noises for a few hours did wake us both mornings. Other than that, everything was great
The location was lovely and the hotel was central
An electric fan was left in our room, I wasn’t able to sleep as the room was way to warm I had to drive back to galway with no sleep the following morning
Location, staff and value for money
.
Everything was as expected
Nothing
Clean, spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Had no complaints

Location
The room we had was old and very dated. We could hear a huge fan outside the room. Food was just okay and swimming facilities were poor, changing rooms and towels were awful. This is all compared to other 4* hotels.
The food was nice and the rooms were very clean. The pool, sauna and steam room were super clean and nice. The staff were all very helpful and friendly which might seem like a small thing but it makes all the difference.
The heat of the hotel was unbearable at times. This was concentrated in the hallways and the rooms. My room especially was baking everyday despite all windows open and a fan on constantly. The radiators were off and as there was no other way to control the heat in the rooms I did not bother any staff as there would have been little they can do. We got dinner three nights and the food was fantastic and reasonably priced for hotels in 2026. What was not reasonable was charging €2.00 for miwadi in a jug, a bottle of miwadi isn't even €2. I genuinely was speechless when the waitress called it out. It gave me the bang of a real tacky cheap hotel and I has honestly skewed my view of this hotel. With the price of everything in the country at the moment it is an awful look.
Everything. From the moment we walked through to the beautiful entrance to the clean smell everywhere. The staff were polite and attentive. I love that it has kept its old style charm but it is still a modern hotel through it's facilities. Great base for travelling around. Couldn't fault it in any way.
Faultless.
Great hotel
Everything about the hotel was fab clean , exceptionally friendly staff, good food
Everything was fab We paid quite a bit, as prices were up cause donegal match was on in ballybofey. But was a lovely stay.

Can’t think of anything
Location and staff
We were directly below the family rooms which were extremely noisy with creaking floors.
Very comfortable room. Excellent food and staff were so courteous and helpful. Love the friendliness of the staff. Receptionist was so helpful Will definitely return soon. True Donegal atmosphere!!! Well done
I love this friendly value for money hotel - the staff are very helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and we enjoyed the health suite. The room was also nice and spacious for the three of us (3 friends travelling) and the beds were really comfortable.
Room was too warm even with heating off and window open. Shower took a minute to work properly. Cold water tap spluttered water for a while before it started to work. Bed was a little sunken in the middle.
Love staying in older hotels, often center of activity in small towns in Ireland. Lovely building, friendly staff and spacious room.
Everything from the food to the staff. Super friendly and helpful
I couldn't fault it
Check in & out seamless Staff Rooms so clean Beds so comfortable

Friendly staff, food was nice
Got stuck in the lift with my children for 30mins. Children very upset, got barely a sorry Shower in bedroom was very weak, no pressure. Facilities are getting a bit outdated, refurbished of leisure centre required. Broken tiles, tiles missing
The staff were friendly
Going home
Situated close to the main Street but in a secluded area.
There was a big difference in the presentation of the two rooms I booked. One was tastefully decorated and the other was quite soulless, it didn't even have carpet on the floor. I was appalled that there was no complimentary water in the rooms and that when I asked for water at reception i was offered small cartons of water ( less that 500ml) for €2.50 each. This is just ripping off tourists. I found the service in the bar lacked warmth and professionalism, but the waiting staff in the restaurant were extremely helpful. Overall these are minor issues but enough for me to check alternative hotels for my next trip.

7.8/10Mixed: bar and some meals received praise (food lovely), but breakfast was criticised by multiple guests (limited gluten-free options, poor quality on some occasions) and occasional overly sauced dishes.
Overall Experience
8.9/10Overall a positive stay for many thanks to staff, location and some good facilities, tempered by recurring issues with heat/ventilation, showers, cleanliness and WiFi/TV problems.
