Pool war immer voll und gegen Ende des Urlaubes waren nur noch Familien mit Kindern am Pool. Kann aber die Unterkunft nichts dafür. Ansonsten hätten wir uns mehr Licht gewünscht, da das Schlafzimmer durch die kleinen Fenster sehr dunkel ist.

Beach was rockier than we liked. The rooms were a bit tired.

We just loved everything about this place - service and help was marvellous, we got room upgrade that meant view to the beach and ocean. Breakfast was good and versatile, kids room was lovely and people were lovely.

The swimming pools felt quite small. Unfortunately, the room did not fully meet our expectations, especially considering its condition and the price. The master bedroom on the second level was in a loft-style space with a low ceiling, which made the room feel somewhat confined and was not very comfortable. Overall, we felt that the price was high for the room and its condition.

Everything. Clean, in front of the beach (hotel has its own umbrellas), with parking. The staff is really welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Spacious room.

if you plan to visit the center, there is a 20 min walk in the seafront but we enjoyed that walk.

The room was a good size, a loft apartment with dbl beds and two singles. Lovely air con. clean. We could see it was great for families with young children because of the 3 pools on site including a baby pool. Great access to the beach across the road. Great service on the beach.

We didn't end up eating much at the hotel. Preferring the restaurants in the old town area. It felt a bit mass-catering (it was a busy hotel) rather than very tasty food. Pizza was good, but the rest was pretty average. Coffee machines for morning coffee were awful so we got coffee elsewhere

Otelle alakalı değil ama otelin otoparkı yan sokakta bulunuyordu. Bu sokağın girişi biraz dar olduğu için bu otele arabayla gelecekler veya kiralayacaklar çok büyük araba seçmezlerse kendileri için daha rahat olur

Το προσωπικό ήταν εξαιρετικό, ιδιαίτερα ευγενικό, πρόθυμο και πάντα διαθέσιμο να μας εξυπηρετήσει. Το επίπεδο του σέρβις ήταν πολύ υψηλό και γενικά νιώσαμε ότι όλοι προσπαθούσαν να κάνουν τη διαμονή μας όσο το δυνατόν πιο ευχάριστη. Μείναμε πολύ ικανοποιημένοι από τη συμπεριφορά και τον επαγγελματισμό του προσωπικού.

Αυτό που δεν μας άρεσε ήταν το πολύ χαμηλό ύψος σε συγκεκριμένο σημείο του μπάνιου της σοφίτας, το οποίο ήταν περίπου 1,70 μ., ενώ το δικό μου ύψος είναι 1,80 μ. Κατά τη διάρκεια της διαμονής ο σύζυγος μου χτύπησε δυνατά το κεφάλι του δύο φορές στο ίδιο σημείο. Θεωρώ απαραίτητο να υπάρχει εμφανής προειδοποιητική σήμανση και κατάλληλη προστασία, ώστε να μη συμβούν παρόμοιοι τραυματισμοί και σε άλλους επισκέπτες.

Fantastisk plassering hvis man ønsker rolig ferie, men likevel ha ‘alt’ tilgjengelig. Personalet var veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom. God frokost med bra utvalg. Gratis solsenger på stranda, vi fikk også nyvasket Beach towels hver dag 🤩 Helt supert for store og små.

Det eneste vi reagerte på under oppholdet var at badet var litt dårligere standard enn både rommet og hotellet generelt.

Nos quedamos con el buen hacer y la atención excelente de su personal, del primero al último te hacen sentir como en casa. Sin duda un sitio al que volver cada año. Creta es precioso pero alojándote aquí la experiencia gana un 100%.

Great location to the beach. Staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Facilities were great and everything was well organised and clean.

Location from the town wasn’t great. We didn’t anticipate we would have a spiral staircase in the room which was a bit unsafe with a 2 year old. Childs pool could have done with some cover for shade and the shower was quite low with the bathroom ceiling being quite low.

A delightful hotel with attentive friendly staff, who can’t do enough with you. We have just enjoyed our stay here with family and friends and the hotel exceeds expectations in all areas. Rooms are spacious and clean with all the amenities. Really enjoyed the pools and the fact that the beach is just across the road. Well done to Maria and the team at Grecotel Plaza Beach House!

Ontbijt in buffetvorm evenals avondmaal in buffetvorm waren zeker OK, al mocht iets meer variatie in de groenten wel voorzien worden. De kwaliteit van het aangeboden eten was prima. Grecotel Plaza Beach is een relatief groot complex, waar je echter geen last hebt van de drukte (ondanks ons verblijf in het hoogseizoen). Het personeel is HEEL vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Wij vroegen bij boeking een rustig gelegen kamer, en die kregen we ook. We hadden een duplex maisonette (we waren met 4) en die was bovendien zeer ruim.

Op het strand zouden wat meer vuilnisbakjes mogen voorzien worden. De drankjes zijn ook stevig geprijsd, zeker naar Griekse normen.

Este la doi pasi de plaja si aproape de cele mai bune taverne, ceea ce a fost perfect! Serviciile si personalul respecta standardele hotelurilor de 4 stele.

Singurul lucru care mi-a placut mai putin a fost politica hotelului referitoare la accesul copiilor in piscina. Desi avem doi copii buni innotatori de 7, respectiv 10 ani, acestora nu le-a fost permis accesul in piscina fara un parinte prezent constant. Asta a fost putin frustrant.

Our room was at the front, on the ground level so we had traffic noise in the morning but not too bad. The hotel was about 2 miles from the old town, but taxi rank is close

Started off rocky, ended up genuinely impressed — and that’s largely down to one person: Maria, the General Manager. We arrived expecting the resort in the brochure and initially found a few things that didn’t match up — including a room view, some pool access issues, and the gym and kids’ club not quite living up to the description. We raised it, and this is where the hotel really turned things around. Maria personally got involved and sorted every single issue, properly and quickly. We’re now in the room we should have had from the start, the pool situation has been resolved, and the kids’ club is actually running the way it’s supposed to. It’s rare to see a General Manager get this hands-on with guest problems rather than leaving it to a front desk shuffle, and it made a huge difference to how the rest of our stay has gone. Breakfast, for what it’s worth, was excellent the whole time — croissants, good coffee, no notes. Credit where it’s due: hiccups happen, but it’s how a hotel handles them that counts, and Maria and her team handled this one brilliantly. We’re now properly enjoying the rest of our week and would recommend this hotel based on how the issues were resolved, not just the initial booking. Ask for Maria if anything comes up — she gets things done.

J’ai aimé l’emplacement face à la mer et le personnel très serviable.

J’ai moins aimé le fait que les chambres ne sont pas du dernier confort, au vu du prix et du positionnement 4 étoiles. De plus, il manquait un meuble sous le lavabo pour y stocker les commodités tel que sèche cheveux, et accessoires de toilette.

La saleté, le manque d’entretien des installations et la mauvaise qualité du petit déjeuner. Vaisselle souillée, lave vaisselle avec restes de nourriture, coussins et rideaux tachés. La liste est très longue. Prix exorbitant pour un hôtel annoncé comme 4 étoiles. Je déconseille cet établissement.

We travelled as a family of four with two 8yr olds. The check in was smooth and got to the room right away. We had booked a loft suite which was fantastic, ground floor has twins beds, table and chairs, small kitchen and small bathroom off. Also a balcony with a side sea view. Upper level was a huge master bedroom, vaulted ceiling and bathroom...bath with shower over. Having the bigger front pool and the smaller kids pool was good as we mixed it up. The beds do get snapped up fast at the front but the lifeguard removes towels after 30 or so minutes. The hotel is roughly 30-45min into the town but a taxi is 7euros each way. Lots of places to eat around the hotel and also a bigger supermarket the street behind and along. The kids club was a great help and was used everyday and Anna was superb with them. To the point they were sad to leave. Also Sophia from the bar team was on hand to serve food and drinks when we required it. The beach is right over from the hotel with free beds and shades. However rocks galore going into the water so buy or take rubber beach shoes for going in/out of the water. Overall a great stay and would return. Thanks to all for a lovely stay.

The property is near the beach. It has three pools, which are quite nice and a kids pool as well which was greatly appreciated by our son. We could easily find available sun beds at one of the pools and at the seaside at all times, which was very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were great and happy to help with any issue.

We came here for our honeymoon we spent 6 night 5 days here and it was just stunning from start to finish… the food, the staff and the hotel itself was just stunning we will 100% be back

Alles war einfach top. Alle waren äusserst freundlich. Die Zimmer waren super, und die Nähe zum Strand, trotz Strassenüberquerung, war ebenfalls hervorragend. Es war eine perfekte Balance zwischen urbanem Leben und Erholung. Es hat einfach alles gepasst, und mit Baby war der Aufenthalt besonders angenehm. Auch der Pool war sehr gut, und das gesamte Angebot hat gestimmt. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben, aber leider war alles ausgebucht.“

Pools were a bit small with limited beds, but lovely nonetheless.

It felt very safe and the staff were all fantastic. You really felt their presence but in a non invasive way. Someone always around and any questions we had were answered straight away. It felt lovely and clean! The breakfast was very good and we really appreciated the briefing on the first morning! The hotel is in an excellent location with everything you could need right on your door step. Our children cried when we had to leave as they had such a great time. Special thanks to Anna in the kids club who we all loved!

We booked the 2 bedroom family room, which had beds in the living room and then a separate bedroom. The main door opens into the living area and we didn’t feel comfortable with our two young children sleeping there whilst we were in the separate room. We ended up putting our children in the big bed in the bedroom and we slept in the sofa beds pushed together. Not a huge issue at all but just something to bear in mind when booking.

Just returned from a fantastic week’s holiday at the Grecotel Park Plaza, and what truly made the holiday so special was the incredible staff who went above and beyond. Lovely waitress Elini, the lifeguard (whose name I can’t remember) and Anna from the kids club are both total gems and were fantastic with our toddler Oliver. They really embody five- star hospitality and service. The cleanliness, delicious food, great cocktails and quiet atmosphere in the evenings made for a wonderful week away. We hope to return one day!

Wonderful location though a little noisy next to the road. The room was quite small and there was nowhere to sit except a low sofa which we both found quite difficult to get up from. We are elderly! We had been expecting a one bedroom apartment and there were no cooking facilities. The staff were wonderful, helping my husband who is disabled with promptness and good humor. Breakfast excellent. Good choice and good variety. I would especially like to commend the pool attendant (?Despina) whom we found very helpful with moving outside furniture and helping my husband move from inside to poolside.

This was a lovely apartment hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was a 2 bed loft apartment which had been set for separate rooms for our 2 boys in addition to our room. The lifeguard round the pool was very attentive and made it feel safe with two young children. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and both the drinks by the pool, and the table service beach sun loungers were very good. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner, we like going out, but it looked ok. There were lots of very good restaurants a few minutes walk from the hotel, and the main old town was 45 mins slow wander, or €7 in a taxi from just outside the hotel. The old town is beautiful, and we took a few excursions on the island with pick ups for them all from just outside the hotel. Overall a great break.

We’re heading home today after a week here and overall we’ve had a lovely stay. We stayed in a Plaza Grande room, which was spacious and in a great location close to all the facilities. The beds were very comfortable. Some parts of the room were looking a little tired though, and the shower was extremely small. We also had two balconies, but both were quite small and only had seating for two people despite there being four of us. The staff have been fantastic throughout our stay – always friendly, welcoming and helpful. We also treated ourselves to a massage in the spa, which was very good. Breakfast was decent, with a reasonable selection of hot and cold dishes. Our main issue was that the hot food was rarely actually hot and was usually only lukewarm by the time you got it. That said, being able to sit outside with a sea view was lovely, and the breakfast staff were absolutely amazing. The pool area and beach were both great. I’d recommend bringing beach shoes as it’s quite rocky getting into the sea, but once you’re in, the water is beautiful. There were plenty of sunbeds on the beach, plus regular drinks service. Around the pool there were always enough sunbeds too, even on the busier days. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes’ walk of the hotel, all very reasonably priced. There’s also a large supermarket less than five minutes away on foot. The Old Town is about a 35-minute brisk walk away, or around five minutes by taxi. Taxis charge a fixed €7 fare for pretty much anywhere locally. The Old Town itself is beautiful, with hundreds of bars and restaurants to choose from. This was our first visit to Rethymno and it definitely won’t be our last. For us personally, the hotel was a little further from the Old Town than we’d ideally like, but that’s down to personal preference. A final mention for the staff, who were genuinely wonderful throughout our stay and are a real credit to the hotel.

Essen im Hotel Restaurant separat dazu buchen / separat Essen im Hotel kaufen sehr sehr teuer und Qualität des Hamburgers eher Naja.... Die Pools im Hotel sind eher etwas kleinere Pissbecken/ Pools sind 1.30m flach ... eher sehr klein gehalten, gerade gut für Kinder die etwas im Wasser planschen wollen... sieht natürlich auf den Bildern viel ansprechender aus. In echt, dann aber voll die Enttäuschung. Wir hatten eine Ameisen-Kolinie im Bad, die fröhlich ihren Weg sich bahnte und sich auch nicht entfernen ließ.

I had a lymphatic massage at the spa and it was truly one of the most relaxing experiences of my vacation. The atmosphere was peaceful, harmonious and very professional from beginning to end. The massage itself was incredibly calming and I honestly didn’t expect to feel this relaxed afterwards. My body felt so much lighter and completely at ease. A special thank you to the therapist for the wonderful treatment and calming energy. I’m very grateful for this experience and would absolutely recommend it.

Tolles Hotel, gutes Frühstück, schönes großes Zimmer, alles sehr sauber und die Mitarbeiter sehr nett. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Man kann zu Fuss an der Uferpromenade in die Stadt laufen und der hoteleigene Strand mit Service ist auch toll

Το πρωινό δεν ειχε φυσικό χυμό,κατι που ειναι παραταιρο με το ονομα και τη φημη του ξενοδοχείου.Αναφερθηκε στον υπευθυνο και πιστευω ότι θα τακτοποιηθεί.

Die Ankunft war erst etwas schwierig, weil es keine Parkmöglichkeit vor der Rezeption zum Einchecken gibt. Es war wohl ein Doppelzimmer gebucht, obwohl wir ein Appartement über Booking gebucht hatten. Die Rezeption hat sich dann alle Mühe gegeben, uns ein entsprechendes Zimmer zu geben. Wirklich sehr schöne Erfahrung. Das Appartement war gut ausgestattet und hatte alles was man braucht. Wir waren gekommen, um Naturfotos zu machen. Leider war das Wetter in den 10 Tagen unseres Aufenthalts von Regen und Sturm geprägt, so dass nur wenig davon möglich war. Das überaus freundliche und hilfreiche Personal hat uns aber das Gefühl gegeben nicht nur Kunden sondern Gäste unter Freunden zu sein und uns mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps, was Unternehmungen und Restaurants angeht versorgt. Das hat unseren Urlaub gerettet.

Ausgesprochen freundliches Personal

I had an excellent time here at Grecotel Plaza Beach House, 10/10 experience. It is located in Rethymno about a 35 minute walk from Old Town and the beach is across the street so it offers a beautiful view from their restaurant. I have so many wonderful things to say but I will start with the bartender Michael. He is extremely skilled at making drinks that are both delicious and aesthetically pleasing. He has a clear passion for what he does. He always engaged in conversation and was happy to explain different drinks to me and I really enjoyed the rapport we had. Also Kalliopi the receptionist is extremely friendly and approachable. She was extremely helpful in coordinating transportation for us and I really enjoyed talking to her. Finally, Theodoris the maître d’ was very warm and hospitable. He always made a point to come talk to us and was very kind. I will also mention that my boyfriend was sick overnight and they offered to make him soup and checked in with him throughout the day which really meant a lot. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept, the room was spacious and the housekeepers did a very good job keeping our room clean throughout the week. I’d say you get your money’s worth for sure and the people were what made this stay so special. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We went middle’s march and even in the off season it was amazing! The hotel right in front of a beautiful beach with turtles protection, comfortable rooms with AC and no noise at all, an amazing food service in the restaurant, with friendly, attentive staff and our cat friend Manoli!

First I would like to recognize the staff members that stood out and made our vacation enjoyable..Kalliope (front desk ), Michalis (bartender), Mr Theo (maitre) , Vaso (server) and the household staff . The rooms were well stocked and cleaned..The great scenery and amenities compromised by the hotel perfect..Made it cozy and relaxing..The stay was better than we expected.. All areas were utilized kept us calm and relaxed..Big thanks to all the staff we encountered..

This was a let down . We were given the best room in the property supposedly but all the rain water came onto the bedroom floors and it was messy. puddle to walk on . It gets embarrassing to call housekeeping every so often to clean up the puddles . The upstairs bedroom has no view . Only the main bedroom has the beach view . There was absolutley no entertainment at the hotel except outdoor table tennis Which couldn’t be used due to the rains . During low season It would have been nice to provide some activities and entertainment . Rooms didn’t have any booklet with info regarding activities or entertainment . The wifi doesn’t work without a boaster which the front desk doesn’t give by default . You have to ask For it . If they knew the WiFi isn’t great then why not provide it while checking in ? Would not recommend this esp for families with kids .

Architektur in Form eines Dorfes, Personal im Service sehr bemüht und freundlich. Unmittelbare Strandnähe.

Einrichtung total abgewohnt, Teppiche im Zimmer alt und dreckig. Die Türen können mit einer Kreditkarte geöffnet werden, vorhandene Sicherheitsketten sind falsch montiert und daher sinnlos. Frühstück war eintönig, der Frühstücksraum ist viel zu klein, bei größerem Andrang ziemliches Durcheinander. Wenn man sich die Preise im Sommer ansieht, ist dieses Hotel total überteuert.

Hotel accogliente, ottima colazione, nuun po' decentrato rispetto a Rethymno, quindi tranquillo e fuori dal traffico, cosa importante per chi come noi vuole visitare l'isola

Die Lage, der Ausblick. Die Anlage ist sehr schön !!

Όλα ήταν πολύ όμορφα! Τα δωμάτια και η καθαριότητα. Το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό και πρόθυμο. Μας εξυπηρέτησαν σε ότι ζητήσαμε! Τα δωμάτια είχαν καφετιέρα και καφέ/τσαι. Υποδομή για προετοιμασία γευματος. Αρχιτεκτονικά τα κτήρια είναι σαφέστατα ανώτερα των τυπικών καταλυμάτων. Κατάλληλο για ζευγάρι, οικογένειες αλλά και γκρουπ φίλων.

Нам очень понравилась встреча с горячими напитками, было прохладно на улице и мы согрелись! Номер просторный, удобные кровати и отличное белье.

Отель просто супер! Понравилось абсолютно всё: обслуживание на высшем уровне, персонал очень приветливый. В номере идеальная чистота, было очень тепло и уютно. Вся техника и сантехника работали исправно. Огромное спасибо за комфортный отдых, обязательно вернусь еще раз!
