An excellent stay for a short getaway from BKK. We went during a long Mother’s Day weekend so the place was a bit packed at first. After Sunday/Monday, we pretty much had the entire resort to ourselves. This property is meticulously well manicured. Great dining options on premise. I highly recommend Casa Mare which is their most high end restaurant right by the water. If you are traveling without a car then you need to use grab/bolt which can be tricky as Cha Am is more remote and low key. It’s our first time in Cha Am as we usually stay in Hua Hin and BKK. There is also a strip of small bars and local restaurants about 5-10 minutes away…and of course a 7-11! There are 2 hotel pools; one for adults and one for kids. The water seems a bit mucky and wasn’t as clear so I never used it. Other than that, it’s a beautifully large resort and would definitely return.
We loved the breakfast and pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Slitent hotell, få solsenger, ingen strand. Fryktelig dyrt og spise og drikke der.
The Regent Cha-am Beach resort was a very comfortable stay in January 2025. We booked to stay for a wedding held in the grounds. The staff were very helpful and arranged cars, helped us book a fabulous cooking class and were happy to help with everything. The interior is a little tired and sadly the spa was not open. The wedding ceremony area and reception was well prepared by the staff and everything looked fabulous. Over our 5 night stay, the food was very good and our experience overall was great.
Staff great very friendly But rooms not very clean floors and uder beds never cleaned linen old and pillows very stained I had to buy insect spray due to bed bug bites
Nice property,
The walkways needed to be high pressure wash too many spilled drinks and dirt! The swimming pool water was dirty! No Hot water in our shower! We were put so far away at the back of the building! The front desk staff were nice! The bathroom needs to be remodeled very bad old fixed 100 times look. The Owner is not spend a single Bhat on making the place nice!
Good place for overnight stay at the river.
Always enjoy our stay rhere
Property is a bit dated but it clean with friendly helping staff. Great breakfast. Walking distance from great restaurants
Just a wonderful hotel, reasonably priced with very friendly helpful staff. Also a great breakfast
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast Short walking distance to many restaurants
About 500 meters from a great restaurant and shopping street

Old needs renovations, pizza place closed Mon and Tue, kids club closed. For the price of 4 star hotel, it should be better. The telephone in the room was not working
Our family of 3 adults and 2 young children stayed in this family room with bunk bed for a week. It was our first time to stay at this place. The hotel is located in the less-crowded Cha-Am area, which is good. The hotel is very large with several pools. The pools had slides for both kids and adults. The bedroom had a king-size bed and a bunk bed and is located near the kids’ pool. The hotel had an Italian restaurant near the beach which only opens on weekends. Overall, the kids loved the hotel because of its large open-area and convenience to several nearby restaurants. We would definitely go back.
Good
The property has fantastic resources but the staff was not well trained and the hotel did not honor their posted promotions. Most facilities were closed including gym, tennis, and kids zone. Peppina was good for food but the hotel restaurant was disappointing.
I was recommended to book this resort for my family trip during 4-6 July 2020. And it’s good decision. After few months closed due to the COVID-19, all plant and trees are so green, very clean and green natural environment. Staff service is excellent; khun Tae, Fang and Bow did very job. Smile and very helpful. My family are happy to stay here. We will come back again.!
If you gonna find the place to relax after the bad situation “The regent chalet” is your choice . I really recommend this one because it’s full of peace and especially close to the sea so find your free time and come to visit once . You’ll love this place like me.
This was our 8th time at the Regent Chalet and since our last visit the Chalets have been refurbished with new furniture and have had a safe and Internet installed. They are now up to the standard expected of a modern hotel while still retaining the peace, tranquility and environment which was so enjoyable during our last visits. For the first 2 weeks the holiday went as expected but then the effects of the regulations to control the virus started to affect us. Note The village and local area was virus free, the problems came because either places were ordered to close (bars, shops and restaurants) or we chose not to go to them (markets, Hua Hin, Cha Am). The hotel closed on 1st April and we were given the option of leaving, with the management helping to find us somewhere else to stay, or remaining at the Regent Chalet with most services closed but our room still cleaned as normal. We chose to stay and we ended up being the only 2 guests in the hotel. Everything worked fine, our room was serviced, we had WiFi and we could watch the hotel being mothballed for 3 months. All the staff were very helpful and professional even though they must have been under incredible pressure with worries about their future. We were very sad to leave and hope that the hotel has the bright future it deserves when it reopens in July. We hope to return next year to what is our favourite hotel in Thailand.
Regent Chalet has great staff. I forgot my most valuable thing and the guy who cleaned the room returned to me. I am overwhelmed happy and appreciated . Beside peaceful ,tranquil ,service mind staffs ,being trustworthy is more important. Definitely we will come again! 👍👍👍👍👍
We stayed 2 weeks at regent chalet. Nice gardens ,cosy chalets, good breakfast , very friendly staff . But only one bad thing is not possible to swim from the beach . Beach is reinforced with big sand bags due to erosion .
Locating by seaside , every evening can directly touch the sea breezes until late night , various room types with all necessary facilities , their bungalows so well appropriate for family or group vacation ~~
Love this Paradise! Fresh Ocean Air, swaying Palm trees, fragrant flowers, birds, butter flies. Clean rooms and grounds. Sparkling clean swimming pool, with super Jacuzzi jets! Thai massage therapists, well trained. Staff most courteous and friendly.. Ever want to leave!
It is a quiet hotel with a good swimming pool.It is very close, within a few minutes walk to the local village which has numerous restaurants at reasonable prices and good quality. The hotel rooms are a bit tired and as frequent returners we were disappointed to have to ask for bath robes and slippers which are usually provided! The hotel restaurant is expensive and the breakfast overpriced. Its interesting that if you dont pre book breakfast, you are offerred it at half the price when you arrive and tell them its expensive!Perhaps Expedia should negotiate direct with the hotel for a better price beforehand.Customers bewarned..every weekend hoardes of Thai,Japanese or Chinese descend on the hotel for conferences and parties. These are loud affairs but do usually end at 11pm!
We stayed 3 days at regent chalet. We were satisfied, but there are things to be aware of before you book (some of it is more about the area than the hotel itself). Plus: - the swimming pool. Big and nice. Not crowded (but possibly a special situation due to drop in chinese turists) - the cabinn and garden (although price is higher than other places in Thailand) - small village 15 minutes by foot with good restaurants and small shops - helpful staff - great massage - good breakfast with a view Minus: - the beach is reinforced by big sand bags (not really charming). - jellyfish in water means we did not swim - in high tide, the beach completely disappears, and waves come very close to the cabinn - 25 minutes from Hua Hin - overpriced taxi service when booking through the hotel - average restaurant with prices above average But all in all we liked our stay. Just a matter of expectations.
Good: Very nice cosy place by the beach. Nice chalets and good “thai” vibe. Not very tourist outside. A couple of bars/restaurants just outside and a small town within 10 min walk with restaurants, 7-eleven, small shops and bars. Very nice breakfast. Bad: Beach is almost gone, you have to go to the left of the hotel to go to the water. Its bad that the sun-loungers are reserved very early (before 7 am), We Think that maybe the pool-persons are paid by the long-term stayers/return guests, to reserve chairs for Them (same people in exact same chairs every day) Drinks to expensive and no Happy hur.
First time here after staying in several places in Hua Hin/Cha am previously. Will be back. Relaxed atmosphere, beach was clean and quiet and up to par for an Aussie beach snob :) Massage prices very reasonable for being in a resort - but learned you need to prebook at reception. Buffet breakfast included was pretty standard for Thailand. Onsite restuarant was reasonably priced. Not the greatest shower pressure. Easy access to other parts of The Regent. If you are wanting to spend lots of time back and forth in downtown Hua Hin it may be a little far away as taxi is required. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Big pool and plenty of lounges. Would recommend bringing own snacks if needed.
Booked a room in the Regency Wing. Facilities are not available at the Regency Wing as there is renovation work ongoing, 8am to 8pm at night, seven days a week. Noise was intrusive an unbearable at times. There was no warning about the building work either here or on hotel website prior to booking. Likely that renovations could be ongoing for most of 2020.
We went to this hotel on holiday to celebrate my wife with our friends. And enjoy the sun, weather, food and cold drinks. The hotel have very cosy bungalows in the gardens. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast and food is very good. However somewhat pricey.
We were on a trip with a beautiful and calm place to stay then we found Regent Chalet. The cottage and greenery surrounding is perfect for relax and spending our vacation. Staffs were so friendly and helpful in every part. Ms. Oraphan checked us in the nice room not too far from the pool where we can enjoy all day. We will be back when we come to Hua Hin .
Amazing weather. Quiet area. Found sun loungers whenever needed!
Nice resort and beautiful place to spend the time after hard working life. The bungalow itself has comfy bed and wooden style, feel different from staying in the concrete hotel.friendly staffs especially front team reception and bellman, thumb up
Great place to relax, beautiful seascape, Lovely decoration bangalow and clean Wonderful breakfast, Bed very comfy I had a good time on my birthday Staffs very nice! ( Bo, June, Tae ) Recommend and we will be back
I very nice beach front property with a decent size swimming pool. We went for a weekend trip to unwind from the hectic Bangkok. We experienced a great service from K. Bow and K. June at reception with a nice personal touch. We will come back.
Consistently good as normal. Returning customer Bell boys and pool boys extra keen top please
after many times it is still a great pleasure to stay in the Regent Chalet Great service and nice place to be. we hope to come back many times and hopefully the traffic Jam from Bangkok would be less or over. even better if there would be flights from Khonkaen to Hua Hin
Very good and nice hotel , with good service
Good service mid staffs, even the hotel runs for more than 30 years, the facilities are kelpt clean and renovate. However the beach is poor.
best..
Lovely hotel recently renovated , rooms were spacious and clean! The pool would benefit from a good clean, there is algae growing in the shallow pool. Food was lovely! The hotel location is fairly remote so a taxi Is required to venture out but these are easy to come by ! Very pleasant stay
Very nice hotel, friendly staff and good service, efficient good check-in and check-out, comfortable, clean and secure. Wifi was not so good and a bit erratic, and the beach is a bit disappointing. Overall, good value for money.
Beautiful location, amazing beach, excellent clean rooms, perfect smiley staff. The breakfast was amazing. Overall excellent
the hotel is aged and under construction,
Leisure trip with friends. Lobby check-in staff was not friendly for our check-in. Even the bell-boy was much better service and nice than her. Breakfast need to improve as quality was dropping. Spacious room and comfy.
Back as good as ever now that we have the beach back!! Excellent!!
Liked the staff but needs more of them. Rooms need updating.
The grounds amazing swimming pools, trees right on the beach but the rooms must be 30 years old and the prices for food and drink are double anywhere else I’ve stayed in Thailand no wonder everyone goes down to the village to eat and drink.
The hotel were opened for 2 decades but they can restore the old charms of the hotel and atmosphere very well. Budget friendly plus spanning beach-front Lovely stay
Hotel has direct access to the beach and very beautiful garden for stroll, anyway some facilities are aged which need to be improved. Overall still good.
Excellent Cleaners and Comfort for Leisure
Very nice and clean pool and pool area. Very quiet area. Although the beach wasn’t great for swimming it served as a nice view. The reception staff wasn’t very friendly, the remaining staff, however, was very nice.
It was OK. I slept well. I wasn’t crazy about the atmosphere or about Cha-am in general. There seems to be a taxi mafia there. Every time you need a taxi you get hit with a 300 to 500 baht charge. There are no meters. It got on my nerves.
High points were nice hotel grounds, great pool and quiet location, but felt the service could be improved
Very spacious, close to the beach, big pools, but quite far if you want to go out to other places. Recommended if you drive.
Nice beach, alternative breakfast, staffs are very friendly
We had a great time at the Regent. The Pool is great for kids. The boys swam all day. Location lovely and very relaxing. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast a very nice variety of different flavours and international cuisines. Overall we really enjoyed our time.
Old hotel with a lot of land, nice big pool, good family atmosphere, but quite tired and out of the way.
Very nice hotel with private beach and million dollars view! The staffs are very nice. Don't forget to check and enjoy the history of the owner of the hotel.
Overall the hotel is located next to the beech, near enough to walk outside of the compound for dinner at the local Thai restaurants. The room was great, except the toiletries provided were of low quality, I had to buy my own shampoo and hair conditioner after a few days.
I booked Avana Villa, which are just a bit away from the main apartments. Good choice, that would be perfect for couples: quiet, large room with jacuzzi, 1 min from the beach and 30 seconds from the 2nd swimming pool.
Nothing to complain about. Beach is nice and clean. Staff is responsive and always ready to help. Break fast is just right.
The Rest room need to more clean ,the equipment need to change some part.
Nice hotel, clean, and private. But hotel’s minimart id early close and far from minimart around hotel.
I stayed here with my family on the new year’s eve. Everything was nice except that the tables for breakfast were not enough for guests. With hundreds of rooms and guests, the restaurants are quite small. I felt bad for people who need to wait for the tables :(
We had a villa. It was ok for what we paid. The staff were great-friendly and helpful. Our room and the breakfast were average. Important to remember that it’s Thailand and the standards there can’t be compared to a 5 star resort in Sydney. The beach is pretty unusable but the pools were nice. An older demographic were the majority at the resort so don’t go expecting party central. It’s not Phuket.
Massy guests in breakfast. The hotel should separate seminar group visitor from the regular.
Good location. Staff are nice, professional services, they understand inquiries and response quickly. The pool, the garden, restaurant and other rest area are clean and well maintenance. Massages beside the beach is really good. Thank to reopen Sala Thai. Anyway allow me to feedback for improvement. There are some items require to install and take care of, e.g. the blinders (in case of oil massage), the fan (sometimes no wind), the rain slash protection and last but important is fixing the ceiling is require na kha, there's lot of dust falling when rain and windy. Overall rate is 95% or more kha and I will be back definitely.
The hotel was very comfortable and had guests from a wide range of nationalities. Located in a quiet area but within a short walk there were small restaurants and bars. The livelier areas of Cha am and Hua Hin require a taxi. Hua Hin night market well worth a trip.
Stay was very nice and relaxed. It was rainy during afternoon so could not enjoy much in the afternoon. Need to improve on cleaning of nearby beach...
Private beach is amazing.
not very good in terms of service.
we stayed in the villas close to the beach, quiet and very nice.
Perfect for a quiet getaway with plentiful grounds
We stayed 1 week in a ocean front Anavana Villa it was excellent. Short walk to the small town at the resort where you can drop laundry very inexpensively, daily van's to Cha Am if your so inclined but really the resort and small town offer it all with many restaurants, bars, etc.. Next to the resort on the beach is a great open air seafood restaurant/bar with excellent food. I will definitely stay here again the staff bent over backwards to make our stay a memorable event. This resort is large and you can actually get lost walking around, it's totally safe, beautiful, and lovely surroundings on the ocean front.
Such a pleasant stay with a wonderful view!!! This was an urgent trip because my friend came over from Korea. Just a night trip but we still enjoyed it very much!!
Booked Emiates flying to BKK with 3 nights at Regent Cha Am. Really unbeatable rate for this hotel after searching through all agents. Room rate came out at HK$300 after deducting the ticket price. Room rate does not include breakfast which is understood at this price. We paid 400B for breakfast per head at the time of check-in noting that the restaurant is the finalist of a competition. No regret for the variety and taste of food available in the breakfast. Unfortunately, we had to pay 600B++ when we want to take the breakfast the other morning. We had given up breakfast at hotel and go somewhere else like small restaurants outside Novotel Hotel or PTT gas station with small restaurants, at 1.7km north along Route 4 from the junction you turn east to the hotel. I stayed at this hotel 6 years ago. Good experience like breakfast, swimming pool, beachside and spacious room makes me come back with 2 other families. We requested connecting rooms. It turned out 3 rooms interconnecting with each others makes us feel very excited and convenient without going out of the rooms.
Satisfied...
Given that there was reconstruction of main swimming pool, which we knew of in advance, the resort was impressive. Huge tracts of grounds with gardens, lake, long beachfront and 3 other pools to partake of in the attached Regent properties. Beach pony rides for the kids and several good - and reasonably priced- restaurants, both within the resort and in the neighbourhood. Regent runs its own hospitality school, so service was there to match. Kids club was actie and allowed us, as parents to partake of the excellent - and again reasonably priced - spa facilities.Definitely returning to this haven of relaxation. Take the villas - well worth the additional pricing. The numerous frangipani trees make it a fragrant mini - paradise.
It was ok.
Some places say "close to the beach" but are surrounded by shops, requiring a taxi to get to the actual beach. Not this place! From the lobby to the ocean is about 150 metres, with most of that holding the main swimming pool. There are facilities for conferences, or just lie back. Get a massage if you like. Instead of arguing over mini-bar prices, there is a mini-mart [great idea]. Trips to nearby Hua Hin let you buy souvenirs or other goodies, and they have a range of optional activities. I wondered why they had several cats wandering around - then I saw one catch a green snake. Keep the cats! The [free] shampoo bottles we quite hard to open. I have arthritis in my fingers, and wet hands make things worse. Bring your own container, or buy from the mini-mart, and transfer contents before trying to open a bottle in the shower.
Stayed in villa at beachfront which was terrific. Fluxo restaurant served fantastic Mediterranean food.
Facilities: Above average, Great outdoor & pool area; Value: Reasonable; Service: Good; Cleanliness: Pleasant; Nice restaurants but there is a small town with lots of restaurants, massage, shops < 200m from the hotel lobby (turn left). Not over 1km as tell you.
I 've checked in this hotel on Oct 24 for 1 night stay. This hotel was low maintenance with a bad service mind staffs. Hotel room was sucks, stinking, and unclean. If I could change, I would never stay in this hotel ever.
We have stayed here twice. It's very quiet in August and not all the facilities are available then. The two huge pools are great. The grounds are great. We would have liked more facilities and greater choice of restaurants. The Regency wing is where we stayed. We booked two junior suites but got two Regency rooms which were pool facing and smaller. There were lots of large groups for corporate meetings during August and little for families to do. We asked at reception and they did organise two craft sessions eventually for about an hour.
