We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Amazing spot at Abu Tig Marina. You can use the beach of Marina Beach (walkable). Many dining options at Marina or downtown.

I really like the place and the services, El Gouna is amazing place to stay and spend time with family and friends, having access to multiple restaurants and the downtown is great, I would recommend visiting El Gouna and enjoying your time.

The hotel is straight to the point for a short non luxurious stay but the service is awful and the reception guy was not friendly at all and they don't allow free late checkout after 2

The Captain's Inn is a really nice hotel with polite, helpful and friendly staff. The location is excellent and although they don't have their own pool, you are able to use the beaches at Moods for free which is a real bonus, as almost all of the hotels and beaches charge. We would recommend you ask the staff for advice re. any trips or excursions you want to book as they will find you a better rate than advertised. Our particular thanks to Marko who arranged a half day snorkeling trip for us on our last day and allowed us to keep our room for an extra two hours so that we could shower before catching our cab to the airport.

A great stay at the Marine. Wonderful & clean cosy hotel. Very good price. Nice breakfast with lots of varities.Staff are very friendly and helpful. Access to Moods Beach is a great advantage. A 4 minute ride by Toktok to downtown. This's my second time to stay at Captain's Inn and I greatly recommend it.

I booked one week at this hotel but i actually stayed one night only. There is a bar at the ground floor that is always playing loud music till 3:00 am in the morning every night. I would never book at this hotel again. The only positive thing was the staff, they are very polite.

Great location! Friendly staff. Room alittle small but not an issue since you wont be spending that much time in it anyway. Has everything you need! Would go there again

The rooms are too small the bathrooms smelt bad and was too too small.

Stayed in one of the suites as had 2 children with us. The room was clean and had everything we required (travel cot, fridge, air con etc) we normally stay in 5 star resort hotels and we found the staff, room and restaurant to be on a par. Very close to the beach and access to a close by hotels pool. staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. Good breakfast , lunch and dinner. Wdins thoroughly recommend.

Captain's inn rooms is the only hotel that has great view to the Marina...u open your eyes to the marina view. I booked a standard court yard view room but when we checked it the staff upgraded us to a Marina view room which is marvelous. I have a baby & we were staying for one night only so they gave us a bigger room. so nice of them to do that... you have access to Moods beach and Ali pasha hotel swimming pool. Breakfast was good...basic but about everything you would need. Thank you captains inn staff for making our stay pleasant.

Good clean hotel. Friendly staff and clean nice rooms. Sure it´s not Møvenpick or Sheraton (stayed at both) and the breakfast buffe is not as big but for the money I really dont think you can beat it. I will definitely stay there again (in fact I already made the booking).

Will never try it again, Location is great but seems like there is better choices in Marina than this hotel. service is bad, the room is barely clean, it is more a student's dorm than a hotel !

Great hotel, overlooking the marina. Lovely breakfast and a great meal at night. We were well looked after by the staff and special mention to the chef for our evening meal.. The steaks and prawns were cooked to perfection. Cant recommend the hotel high enough. Maureen and Tommy

The hotel has a very nice location where everything is close and around. The beach is very close and is managed by moods (one of the best Resturants out there) we had marina view rooms, the veiw was amazing.

Travelled alone to El Gouna and stayed at the Captain's Inn. The staff were absolutely fantastic from the minute I arrived to the moment I left, nothing was to much trouble and the hotel manager is on hand should you need him. My original room on the first floor was above the kitchens, it was a fabulous room however I am a very light sleeper and was woken during the night by the staff working, I was moved without any issues to a larger room on the second floor overlooking the court yard and needless to say, I slept well from this point. The hotel is immaculate and well maintained, the breakfast was far better than I have experienced in the All Inclusive hotels that I have stayed at previously. If you are travelling alone ladies, then I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel, you will be safe and well looked after. El Gouna is a beautiful destination for a quiet and relaxing holiday, its not full of the typical lager louts and neither do you get hassled or get any unwanted attention. I will return without a doubt and I would choose the Captain's Inn as my retreat. If you want a massage or any beauty treatments then Rashed is based in the hotel and the massage is better than the one on the beach, Rooms 209-220 overlook the court yard and are peaceful, if you are in a marina view it may be a little noisier during the evening as the season picks up.

I am a bit of a hotel snob and only stay in 5 star hotels - except for Captain's Inn in Gouna. This is the only 3 star hotel I will stay in and have enjoyed 3 weekends there since September. The staff is friendly, helpful, and speak English. The rooms are very cute and clean. The location is perfect and breakfast will get you through the whole day. It is the perfect weekend get-away if you are living and working in Cairo.

Stayed 2 weeks and had a very pleasant stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Room small but good sized comfortable bed, breakfast buffet very good, lots of variety including make your own pancakes, and eggs any way you wished. Hotel in central position at Abu Tig Marina, you also get a pass to use sun beds and towels at 'Moods Beach', and the pool at another hotel close by. Although the hotel had a 3 star rating, compared to many in the area with 4 stars, we were not disappointed and would recommend the Hotel, we would definitely stay again.

Close to the kitespot, good breakfast. Rooms are quite small but clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Having no pool was a drawback for me, but still a great hotel for the price!

- Super Location in the middle of the vibe - Great food quality - Clean room - Good service - John the manager was very friendly and made sure to allow minor exceptions for our satisfaction. - Don't expect luxury but the location is very rewarding - Surprisingly despite the tourism is not doing good in Egypt these days and the occupancy is pretty low but most of the restaraunts food quality was very good.Obvously Gouna's standard above country average.
