Como o hotel fica no centro histórico, não é possível chegar com o carro, porém a 100 m de distância tem um estacionamento público e pago, no valor de 6 euros para o dia todo e a noite não paga.
O colchão e travesseiro não são dos melhores.

La camera non era molto insonorizzata,e si sentiva parecchio il vociare dei turisti in piazza la sera. La scala x accedere alla camera è bella dal punto di vista romantico ma se un ospite la sera rientra tardi sembra di essere catapultati dentro a un cantiere navale durante la lavorazione di uno scafo..

A nice big swimming pool to cool off in after a warm day of wine tasting in Chianti as well. Highly recommended.

The view of the Piazza from room was awesome. The breakfast so good. Oliver the manager as well as the staff in general were amazing people, and li es their service and just talking witb them. Would stay again.

Stemningen er ikke den samme som for 5 år siden, de nye ejere formår ikke at vedligeholde den varme stemning på hotellet. Der er efterhånden alt for mange turister i Greve. Vi kom der første gang i 1991, da var byen langt mere autentisk og måske var restauranterne også bedre?

Camere anguste, al check- in la camera era caldissima, illuminazione e prese di corrente in camera non funzionanti, mancavano le saponette che poi ci hanno consegnato il secondo giorno, pulizia camera scarsa, la colazione mediocre, cornetti yogurt e altri prodotti scoperti e preda delle mosche.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Proseccoval és előre klimatizált szobával vártak minket, majd egyből becsobbanhattunk a medencébe, ami a 40 fokos hőségben felüdülés volt. A szoba kényelmes és tiszta volt, minden nap takarítottak, amíg reggeliztünk. A reggeli fullos volt, a személyzet pedig extra kedves és figyelmes.
7.30-tól volt reggeli, a mi ablakunk pedig pont a terasz fölött volt, és 2 reggel is arra ébredtünk, hogy egy sokfős társaság már kora reggel hangoskodik. Ennek ellenére ez egy baromi jó szoba volt medencés kilátással, szóval nem cseréltem volna el, és erről nyilván nem a szállás tehet.

La nostra camera era veramnte molto piccola. Nonostante avessi prenotato con largo anticipo mi è stata assegnata una camera piccolissima.Poiché viaggiavamo in gruppo ho potuto constatare le dimensioni delle altre camere e la nostra era la più piccola in assoluto. Mi dispiace per il solo fatto di aver suggerito io a tutti i nostri amici questo albergo .

The breakfast was lovely, plenty of it and a wide selection. Staff were lovely and so helpful. They were a delight. Great location, easy to travel to other places and Greve in Chianti is so so beautiful. The pool and the bar were also such a bonus especially as it was so hot.

Der Pool 🏊 war nicht zu verwenden da angeblich Bakterien 🦠 im Wasser 💦 waren … sehr ärgerlich da wir unbedingt einen Pool zur Entspannung gebucht hatten … wäre toll wenn so was bekannt ist dies auch auf der Plattform bekannt zu geben .

Reviewed May 30, 2026Seit 40 Jahren besuchen wir immer mal wieder das Albergo del Chianti. Früher war eine italienische Familie drauf. Da war Esprit drin, Freude, Wiedersehen, Familia. Das Hotel liegt gut auf der wunderbaren Piazza von Greve in Chianti.
Seit eine belgische Familie das Hotel betreibt, herrscht keine gute Atmosphäre mehr. Alles ist anonym. Das Personal ist latent genervt. Der Pool, obwohl normalerweise ein Asset bei 35 Grad Temperatur, fiel ganz aus. Jemand hat zuviel Chlor ins Wasser getan, Bakterien breiteten sich aus. Man konnte kein einziges Mal baden gehen. Auch die Liegen sind falsch eingekauft worden. Man kann sich nicht entspannen. Sondern man kann nur sitzen, sie sind eng. An ein Schläfchen ist nicht zu denken. Sehr schade, dass sich die Belgier nicht wirklich um ihr Hotel kümmern. Man merkt, da ist keinerlei Herzblut dahinter.

Leider war der Pool nicht nutzbar. Sie hatten ein technisches Problem.Da ich diese Unterkunft extra wegen des Pools gebucht habe und wir nach einer anstrengenden Radtour gerne uns hätten abkühlen wollen, war dies nicht schön.

Reviewed May 14, 2026Ein sehr schönes Hotel am Hauptplatz. Um Gepäck auszuladen kann man leider nicht mit dem Auto vorfahren. Das Personal ( z.B. ) an der Rezeption freundlich und engagiert. Wir wollten verlängern ! Aber da konnte uns der freundliche Rezeptionist auch nicht helfen weil; das Hotel war ausgebucht. Zimmer mit Bad/Toilette sauber und größenmäßig in Ordnung. Auch die Außenanlage mit Pool toll. Das Frühstück war sehr üppig und es wurde auch nach Bedarf sofort nachgelegt. Empfehlenswert.
Die Parkplatzsituation ist natürlich nicht dem Hotel anzulasten. Uns fehlten aber Hinweise wo man sein Fahrzeug hätte abstellen können. Im Hotel selber hat uns das sehr laute autom. Schließen der Zimmertüren gestört.

Reviewed May 4, 2026La posizione dell'albergo molto valida, nella piazza principale del paese, camera pulita e confortevole. Colazione molto varia e buona. piscina bella ma nn abbiamo avuto tempo di utilizzarla.
Tutto bene, solo qualche complicazione per il pass ZTL per la piazza, parcheggio moto affianco all'albergo, gia occupato. Acqua del water in continuo scarico, probabilmente nessuno ha controllato la camere prima del nostro arrivo.

Ett litet minimalt rum som gjort för en person. Handduk 1 st. Inga glas. Inget vatten Utsikt mot en bakgård där man vaknade kl 24 när sopbilarna kom. Fick dra väskor från en parkering mitt i stan. Överbokat av vandrare och cyklister varvid det saknades bord att sitta vid. Absolut det sämsta hotellet och det dyraste under våra 13 bokningar. Ej prisvärt

Al no haber presencia de personal por la noche, se pierde el control con huéspedes molestos. Que es lo que nos ocurrió.

Reviewed Apr 11, 2026We stayed in The Albergo more than 15 years ago when my daughter married in Italy. The hotel has changed owners since then and has been refurbished . Our stay was early in the season but we found the hotel clean, comfortable and very good value for money. Ideal location in central Greve convenient for lots of restaurants and local amenities.
The pool was closed for maintenance.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026In need of refurbishment. Cramped rooms, one luggage had to be on floor, blood stains on bedding, bathroom shower was so small not usable. Pool is not how it appears in photos and grounds not cared for. Prior to arrival hotel unresponsive to email re parking and attempt to drop off luggage in no driving zone nor was it explained car would be towed from public lot due to Saturday market. Manager was pompous. Offered a bottle of wine or another stay next year as compensation. No refund or apology. 150 euros in parking fee and tow fee incurred , missed wine tour and morning walking to police station. No taxis. One roll of toilet paper in room and no tissues. Horrible memories of Greve. This hotel was the worst in my entire visit to Italy and ever. Once Manger has your money it’s over. Don’t stay here. Perhaps skip Greve all together. Signage at parking was not obvious if there was any. Hotel Manager showed me 4 pages and said I should have read them at check in….seriously?????

De kamers zijn heel gehorig, je hoort de deuren dichtslaan en mensen niezen.

Reviewed Nov 17, 2025While the location is central in this town with nothing to do, the hotel is dated. The photos look nice- the rooms are not. Rooms are clean but very small and uncomfortable. The bedspread saw better days. We reserved two nights and asked to cancel one after arriving but were refused! We did not stay for breakfast so cannot review that. In brief- this is at best a two star hotel in a one star town.
