Grand Hôtel "Château de Sully" - Piscine & Spa -Teritoria

The location was great for exploring Normandy and the d-day beaches. The Hotel was beautiful in very private and well kept gardens. The Owner and staff were very welcoming and the food in the restaurant was wonderful.

Some of the decor in the bathroom was a little tired but all perfectly functional.

Manque d’entretien flagrant sur le bâtiment principal. Un manque d’entretien très important sur les structures annexes ( le spa déplorable) piscine carrelage abîmé, boulon de la verrière rouiller et douche de la piscine digne d’un routier sur l’autoroute

The property and room were clean and quiet. The staff was so cordial and accommodating. The pool, spa with sauna, and workout room were also nice. The dinner was amazing! Easily the best meal we have had in last several years! Well worth add the 6-course meal to the stay.

Het kasteel zag er prachtig uit in een mooie ruime tuin, het was er rustig. De jeu de boules baan was erg leuk met een mooie ligging. Parkeerplaats genoeg. De tuin had wat verschillende zitjes, was erg leuk om even te zitten en te genieten van het weer en de omgeving Het ontbijt was heerlijk en goed verzorgd.

De ruimte in de kamer was matig, de deur waar je de kamer binnenkwam kon maar gedeeltelijk open, want dan kwam hij tegen het bed. Er zijn wat slordigheden die beter kunnen, zoals verfwerk in het zwembad en in het trappenhuis. Er is wat achterstallig onderhoud. Als dit op orde is zou het perfect zijn

Stunning location, sat Nav did send us to another location, but once found, no issues. Food was wonderful, staff could not do enough for you, easy parking, decor is beautiful. Would definitely go back, just to see the grounds in perfect conditions, absolutely decimate by the drought conditions, we have all suffered in UK and Europe.

Being tall, we had a room in the barn area, which was up in the eaves , with a sloping ceiling, advise when staying, if you are over 6ft 3 “ let them no, as rooms in the chateau don’t have this minor issue.

Una tenuta da favola in un giardino meraviglioso. Area ristorante bar e lobby giardini stupendi. Camere abbastanza rinnovate non proprio in tutto e per tutto. Piscina bella e fotogenica ma con qualche pecca. Ancor di più area spa. Colazione con prodotti di grande qualità. Cena gourmet ma....se includi la mezza pensione il menù si ripete uguale ogni sera con le stesse 2 scelte. In più molto ben impiattato e presentato, tutto ricercato ma sulla bontà avrei qualcosa da ridire. De gustibus comunque! Esperienza comunque top

Le cadre du château est magnifique, les chambres sont super, la piscine est très bien avec d'autres équipements (chaussons, peignoirs, frigo, ...), le personnel est aux petits soins et le petit déjeuner et le diner étaient parfaits (mention spéciale pour le diner !)

Tres déçu j ai voulu faire un beau cadeau pour ma fille et mon gendre , mais le service tres désagréable car mes enfants ne pouvaient pas ce payer les restaurants à des tarifs excessif !!! Pour le peu dans les assiettes, certaines personnes du personnel leurs ont dit qu ils etaient au camping !!!! Ou est le respect des clients ?? Deja c était un cadeau de ma part , ils etaient tellement émerveillés à l arriver et tres déçu au retour, la literie tres dur , salle de bain qui ne vaut pas un 4 étoiles, la piscine tres belle mais pas nettoyer tout les jours car insectes feuilles morte dans l eau bref encore cela passe mais pour un endroit qui était marqué élogieux franchement à réviser et surtout les tarifs du restaurant et bar un coca 9 euros un expresso 5 euros un peu exagérer. Moi qui croyais y faire un week-end avec mon mari malheureusement je n irai pas . Car lorsque nous réservons un week-end cela est magnifique de voir un joli établissement mais ce que nous cherchons en premier est le respect du personnel. Merci .cordialement

Superbe parc, espace bien-être très accessible (horaires généreux), très beau bar, super petit déjeuner.

Lage zwischen Bayeux und Meer. Großzügiges Gebäude und Gelände. Reichlich Platz zum freien Parken. Freundliche, aufmerksame und sorgfältige Mitarbeitende. Am Frühstücksbüffet war, bei sehr umfangreicher Frühstücksauswahl, nie etwas leer. Die Zimmerreinigung war jeden Tag perfekt, obwohl es wechselnde Mitarbeitende waren. Der Wäscheservice funktionierte hervorragend. An der Rezeption war man stets sehr hilfsbereit. Unerwartet war, dass es dort eine Dame gab, mit der wir Deutsch sprechen konnten. Der Betreiber hat die richtigen Mitarbeitenden gefunden. Ungewöhnlich - zumindest im Vergleich zu unserer Heimat - fanden wir die Idee, den Tag über Croissants und Zitronenwasser an die Rezeption zu stellen. Eine sehr nette Geste. Manchmal macht die Summe der Kleinigkeiten einen großen Unterschied.

Das Eine oder Andere könnte renoviert werden. Cocktails und Massagen sind für unsere Begriffe deutlich zu hochpreisig. Zu üblicheren Preisen hätten wir beides gelegentlich in Anspruch genommen und der Umsatz wäre im Chateau erfolgt. So haben wir stattdessen die entsprechenden Angebote in Bayeux vorgezogen (Massage 50%, Cocktails 70%). Während unseres Aufenthaltes war eine benachbarte Wiese Campingplatz. Morgens und abends herüberschallende Live-Musik waren ab und bis zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt sogar originell. Nervig wurde es nach 22 Uhr, zumal man wegen der Wärme die Fenster auflassen musste und nicht wusste, wie lange es noch geht. Einmal war erst 23:30 Uhr Schluss. Wir sprachen es am nächsten Tag an der Rezeption an. Vermutlich hat man die Camper passend angesprochen. Jedenfalls war es in den anderen Nächten ok. An einigen Abenden, schöne Musik bis längstens 22 Uhr. Ein Kompromiss, mit dem alle gut leben konnten.

Grande chambre confortable et bien équipée donnant sur le parc du chateau. Très bel espace détente avec sa piscine sous verrière et ses 2 jacuzzi. Pdj buffet copieux et variés. Restaurant cher pour ce qu l on a dans l assiette. Une belle adresse a recommander.

Le Spa et notamment le jaccuzi n'était pas très propre (mousse et dépôt sur le tour) . Un entretien plus rigoureux serait appréciable

La beauté et tranquillité du lieu, chambre spacieuse avec vue sur jardin et domaine, belle et agréable piscine.

Le matelas était légèrement dur, les toilettes un peu bancales et la réception ferme à 22h.

Très bel endroit où nous avons passé un très agréable week-end. Le lieu est ravissant

Room 26, Our room was TINY, very SHORT bed, You couldn't sit up in bed on the right side,as there was a big beam there??? The shower cubicle was the smallest I have ever experienced!!! On booking it was explained that there was a wardrobe or closet, when we got into the room THERE WAS NEITHER!!! We asked for a rail to hang our clothes on, which turned up a bit later, with NO HANGERS??? we had to wait until the following day to get some, when they delivered 10 hangers to the room, saying this was all they had in the hotel!!!!!! The most hidious 'SAFE' I have ever seem, it wasn't attached to anything, it was just sat on a shelf in the bedside cabinet, which even when locked could just have been taken away!!!!!! Shame really as we were looking forward to staying there, we offered to pay however much more that would be required to upgrade to another room, but were told we could do that if we changed rooms every night for three nights!?!?!?

It was magical. One of the best places we have stayed. No exaggeration. It was truly amazing

We booked a superior room with air conditioning and the first night we ended up in an attic room with no A/C and a fan. With record heat in France that week, this made the stay unbearable the first night with very little sleep. No concessions were offered. They did switch us to an air conditioned room the 2nd night and it was very comfortable.

Magnifique château et parc ! Belle piscine, parties communes comme le restaurant et bar sont très beaux, tout le reste est à revoir!

Du coup décalage total avec le confort des chambres, on avait les 24 et 26 ! La 26, le pompon, même pas la qualité d’une chambre ibis ! Salle de bain ridiculement petite, la douche on tient juste debout dedans ! Les meubles, une sorte de mélange de meuble premier prix chez GIFI !!! Une honte ! Escalier pour monter au 2eme relativement vieux, plein de trous et rayures ! Surtout les murs ce sont des cartons ! On entend tous ce qui se passe! La climatisation inexistante malgré l’annonce lors de la réservation ! En général, il y a plein de détails de mauvais entretiens, genre la rambarde de la piscine qui bouge, les jacuzzi, un sur deux fonctionnait ! J’en passe d’autres.. le sens du détail fait les hôtels d’excellence et vous n’y êtes pas ! et surtout me dire oui c’est la chambre la moins chère, n’est pas un argument au vu de la prestation médiocre ! C’est une chambre à un prix élevé, plus de 250€, c’est pas Formule 1 ! Bref, service à revoir en général

We loved the quiet environment, the beauty of the château and its Gardens. We love the indoor swimming pool. We would recommend it and go there again.

Our room choice had slanted ceilings on one side which did not accommodate well my 6‘4“ tall husband.

Everything from breakfast to dinner was perfection. So close to town yet so quiet out in the countryside. And close to all the major attractions. The staff was so professional and caring about our every need. The pool and sauna were great. The gardens were lovely.

De locatie was prachtig en het bed vond ik fijn

Ik vond het heel erg verouderd, daardoor kwam het wat onhygiënisch over. Ook vond ik het personeel aardig, maar slonzig. Je hoort in zo’n hotel nette werkkleding te hebben. Geen vale broeken, vette brillen, ongekamde haren. Ook vond ik de keuzes op het menu erg weinig. Waardoor we uiteindelijk ergens anders zijn gaan eten.

Le cadre est absolument magnifique. Le parc est splendide et le bâtiment également. Les chambres sont très confortables, surtout la literie. C'est un havre de paix! Quant au spa , la piscine est très propre et agréable. Le jacuzzi était fabuleux et le sauna agréable.

Le sauna le matin n'était pas allumé. Il a donc fallu attendre un peu afin qu'il chauffe. Un des 2 jaccuzis ne fonctionnait pas, ce qui occasionnait une attente pour accéder au seul jacuzzi. La peinture du bord de la baignoire pourrait être refaite.

Le cadre est exceptionnel ! Chateau très somptueux avec une décoration magnifique. La literie est très confortable et la chambre est au calme. Le petit déjeuner est varié et de qualité. Il y a plusieurs parking pour garer sa voiture. Le parc à l’arrière du château est très bien entretenu. Vraiment top :)

Nous n’avions pas de rideaux dans notre salle de bain et la fenêtre donnait sur la cour intérieure donc les gens pouvaient nous voir lorsqu’on voulait prendre une douche. Le sauna était éteint quand nous nous y sommes rendus, il faut prévenir l’accueil à l’avance si on souhaite l’utiliser (cela aurait pu être communiqué lors du check-in). De plus, il faut bien faire attention au sol glissant dans les zones de spa.

L’hôtel est très beau, le parc est très bien entretenu. Le spa est agréable, le personnel très gentil. Petit déjeuner varié

Le cadre, c est magnifique que se soit de nuit et de jour. La piscine et le spa sont extraordinaires.

La lumière qui ne s éteint pas dans le couloir. Les rideaux qui laissent passer le jour. La machine à boissons chaudes qui donnent que de l eau pour le petit déjeuner.

Le personnel très aimable et très serviable (nous avons pu avoir des échanges très enrichissant avec deux femmes le jour de notre départ). La localisation (a 5min de Bayeux une charmante petite ville. Nous avons pu profiter de Cherbourg et de la région de la Hague). La tranquillité. (En basse saison nous étions très peu nombreux. Le calme était très appreciable pour des citadins comme nous) L’espace bien-être ( avec une magnifique piscine chauffé deux jacuzzi et un sauna. Nous en avons bien profité pour nous relaxer) La beauté des lieux (les décors de château sont superbes ainsi que le jardin avec ce début de printemps. Le petit déjeuné le matin devant cette vue était très appréciable). Le buffet du petit déjeuné était varié et très bon.

La petitesse du lit (carré, pour un homme de 1m88 c’est petit). La couverture qui n’en n’est pas une (tissue pas épais inséré dans une housse)ne tient pas très chaud en hiver. Dans la salle de bain plusieurs choses serait à réparer (évier, joint de la vitre protège baignoire car inondation, tache sur le carrelage de la douche, porte de la salle de bain qui subi les inondations au sol)

La deco de la chambre que nous avions étaient trop moderne. Lorsque l’on choisit un château hôtel on le fait avec une certaine attente. L’éclairage du restaurant est trop blanc ce qui rend le lieu froid sous la véranda bruyante. L’une des serveuse parlait très fort et la reverberation amplifiait sa voix. Dommage car la nourriture était de qualité même si un peu plus de choix aurait été appréciable.

We stayed in rooms outside of the main hotel and these need updating, the bathroom facilities were not up to standard and needed a good clean, the bedroom was lovely. We couldn’t work out how to work the coffee machine but that was no fault of the staff.

This is indeed a chateau-mansion, 3km out of Bayeux and the approach in the evening is very pretty. Rooms are comfortable more than elegant and we didn't try the restaurant (it appears to be a bit above our budget). Much of the attraction was access to the spa/sauna/pool which sits in a separate building a short stroll from the main chateau. It was pretty good and would have been particularly fair value had we paid the basic price. However, we fell for a wording confusion which seems a bit naughty: on Booking.com there was a price for the double room, and a price of around £20 more for room with spa/pool access. I foolishly paid the higher price only to discover that spa/pool access is actually included in ALL room rates. This vague sense of being mildly scammed (even if my own fault for not writing to check) did rather undermine our experience of what would otherwise have been a very satisfactory stay.

We had a look at the breakfast but it didn't seem worth 25 euros per head so can't comment on how good it is.
