This humble hotel has an old world grandeur to it with high ceilings, marble staircases, comfortable lounge and big windows in the room that can all open. The rooms are big but simple. The service is extremely warm and helpful. Highly recommend.

Met the owner at breakfast who proudly described all the breakfast ingredients including the organic eggs, home made jams and local honeys. And croissants and baguettes tasted like they used to...not the 'centralized' products readily available in bigger cities. I am partial to the design as I love that colonial touch in a period building... wickers, light cottons, etc. Franz, the front desk manager, welcomed and checked me in the night of my arrival and helped me with dinner reservations. Excellent. Did not feel like a hotel ... which is the secret for me.

It’s wonderful staff, the very comfortable bedroom and delicious breakfast. It has very limited parking space so would need to be reserved well in advance otherwise there is an excellent car park called ‘cathedral’ one minute walk from the hotel.

The hotel is in a pretty old building on a quiet block off of the canal, perfectly situated in town close to everything. The room was small but fine for our 3 night stay, it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. It had a little balcony with a petit table an 2 chairs. There is an attached garage which was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasure of our stay.

I booked two rooms. My bed was very comfortable but although my son's appeared soft on first contact it was in fact hard and unforgiving - and he had two poor nights. I would avoid that room in the future.

Reviewed Dec 8, 2025Situació excel·lent, just al centre i prop de la plaça principal i d'on fan el mercat de Nadal. També fàcil d'aparcar. La decoració és molt maca, com d'època, li dóna solera.
No vam agafar l'esmorzar perquè el preu ens va semblar una mica elevat i anàvem 6 i hi ha molta oferta fora.
