Hôtel Du Manoir

Très bon accueil. Joli hôtel à 10 min à pied du centre touristique. Nous avons eu une très petite chambre dans les combles (heureusement nous ne sommes pas très grands !), mais bien aménagée et charmante. Bien isolée. Il y a de vraies grandes chambres aux étages du dessous. Mieux vaut demander ! Petit déjeuner très correct. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Sous les combles c'est un peu juste. Nous n'avions pas compris qu'il fallait réserver les places de parking (il y en a peu à l'intérieur de l'enceinte de l'hôtel) mais nous avons pu nous garer dans la rue (gratuit).

Das Hotel ist wenige hundert Meter von der Kathedrale entfernt gelegen. Auch die Altstadt, die Loire und auch die Basilika St.Martin sind problemlos fußgängig erreichbar. Alle Einrichtungen des Hotels, wie Zimmer, Sanitärräume und Frühstücksraum sind von ausreichender Größe und sehr sauber, die Zimmer werden unaufgefordert täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstück ist völlig in Ordnung, zum üblichen französischen petit - déjeuner gab es noch je zwei Sorten Schinken und Käse, sowie hartgekochte Eier. Der Parkplatz befindet sich im Hof.

Wir hatten versucht, wegen einer früheren Ankunftszeit Kontakt aufzunehmen, allerdings erhielten wir darauf keinerlei Antwort. Als wir uns bei Ankunft auf den Parkplatz stellen wollten, kam der Inhaber herausgerannt, um uns sehr unfreundlich zu erklären, dass wir uns (trotz ausreichenden Platzes) dort nicht vor 14.00 Uhr sehen lassen sollen.Auf unsere Frage hin, ob es in der Nähe Parkmöglichkeiten gäbe, erhielten wir keine Antwort. Der Inhaber wurde an beiden Tagen immer, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten, sehr ungehalten. Der Parkplatz befindet sich im Hof. Die Ein- und Ausfahrt gestaltete sich bereits für Autos der unteren Mittelklasse sehr anspruchsvoll. Als wir wegfahren wollten, erwies sich der Platz so zugeparkt , dass wir ohne Hilfe nicht herausgekommen wären. Es ist noch zu erwähnen, dass die Zimmer sehr hellhörig sind, man hört wirklich alle Äußerungen aus anderen Zimmern. Auf der Straße herrscht Tag und Nacht ein Höllenlärm und Gestank nach Abgasen, so dass man sich entscheiden muss, ob man wegen der Hitze nachts die Fenster öffnet oder lieber japsend zumindest vom Aurolärm verschont bleibt. Man sollte Ohropax dabeihaben.

The room was in the roof with the lift right outside however it was quiet and we didn't notice when it was being used. The breakfast was simple continental style with bread croissants and meats and cheeses. The location was excellent, a few minutes stroll to the cathedral and into town. The parking was in the grounds which we had booked in advance.

With the age of the property I found it fine.

Bed was wat doorgezakt. Er is parkeergelegenheid, wat fijn is, maar hou er wel rekening mee dat het erg krappe plekken zijn. Wij hadden de hulp van de eigenaar nodig om er uit te komen.

Petit hôtel de charme, sympathique, un brin vétuste. Le petit parking, même si la place que j'avais réservé n'était pas dispo, je me suis donc garé derrière d'autres autos, en accord avec le gérant et créant quelques inquiétudes à certains, m'obligeant à sortir mon auto le matin pour laisser sortir une autre auto.

Le petit dej annoncé avec des produits frais n'était pas franchement conforme aux attentes, quid des produits frais ... ! Evidemment hôtel sans clim donc il faisait chaud. Et avec une fenêtre donnant sur rue ...

Room a little small. Car park a little small and thick gravel made it awkward to manoeuvre a heavy motorcycle. Rooms ok but looking a little tired in places. No room to actually open the wardrobe door as the bed was in the way.

De locatie is geweldig. Ontbijt hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt, er zijn genoeg bakkers in de buurt. De douche deed het erg goed.

De poort en parkeerplaats is echt heel klein en door het grind is het erg moeilijk manoeuvreren. Ik had een kamer op de begane grond geboekt maar kreeg de zolderkamer. Het bed is daar maar klein en het is er wat benauwd. Blijkbaar had ik de gewenste kamer ook nog via een apart bericht door moeten geven. Volgens de hotelier was het niet mogelijk om een kamer met voorkeur te boeken en zijn de prijzen van de kamers gelijk. Dit is niet zo en booking.com heeft mijn klacht achteraf op een redelijke manier opgelost. Ook nadat ik mijn bevestiging aan de hotelier liet zien was het niet mogelijk om ons de kamer te geven die we geboekt hadden. De hotelier heeft bij het uitchecken (uit coulance?) de parkeerkosten niet gerekend. Al met al voelden we ons onbegrepen.

Stickiger Frühstücksraum im Keller ohne gute Belüftung. Die Wäsche wurde gegen 5 Uhr Morgens sehr lautstark abgeholt vor dem Hotel.

Very pleasant room with comfortable beds and just a short walk to the beautiful cathedral of Tours. There were also a large selection of restaurants near the cathedral and a fantastic bar/restaurant with amazing views over the roof tops of Tours. Breakfast was very good. The manager was very helpful and found us a car parking space right next to the hotel. They do have parking there, but you must book it in advance, which we forgot to do!

The hotel is in the centre of Tours, so with windows open it is quite noisy. But the noise does stop about 11.30 to 12.00. Unfortunately it was incredibly hot when we stayed there so we had to fling all the windows open with the fans on, not the fault of the hotel obviously. The back of the hotel is probably quieter and would recommend requesting this.

De ontvangst was vriendelijk. Ligging is ideaal, kort bij het centrum. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid en lekker.

Bij het uitchecken ging het wat langzaam. Er was maar één persoon die zowel moest zorgen voor het ontbijt buffet als voor het uitchecken van huurders.

The central location is excellent. Just a few minutes walk from the Catherdral, Musee des Beaux Arts and cafes and restaurants.

The parking has to be pre-booked so, being unaware of this, we had to park on the street some way from the hotel. Even if you have a spot the area is small so manoeuvring a vehicle to get in and out is a real challenge.Wilfred was very helpful in locating a spot for us. Small room with no tea/coffee facilities.

Being told after requesting parking ( in January)and a room with shower (not over bath) and had both requests acknowledged that as I had booked through booking.com I was only communicating with booking.com & If I wanted to have any requests I needed to book direct. Apparently Mr Wenger who answered my requests works for booking.com according to the man who came running out loudly telling I can’t park in the hotel car park as I had booked via booking.com. Room allocated next to lift and reception on ground floor as you walk into the hotel with shower over bath

Personale molto gentile e disponibile nel consigliarci un parcheggio gratuito 24/24 nella via. Struttura molto semplice, la nostra camera era particolarmente piccola ma l'avevamo scelta così. Bagno molto piccolo. Un buon compromesso se lo si considera soltanto un punto d'appoggio di una notte all'interno di un itinerario più ampio.

Camera e bagno piccolo ma lo avevamo scelto noi così, erano disponibili anche camere più grandi ad una tariffa leggermente superiore. Direi che è andato tutto come ci aspettavamo!

La chambre était tout à fait conforme à nos attentes. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est top. La salle où est servi le petit déjeuner est très mignonne.

Nous aurions aimé trouver un autre pain que du pain blanc au petit déjeuner (pain complet ou au levain par exemple).

La literie était super, le petit déjeuner était très complet ! L’employé de 2 mètres qui gère la réception de jour comme de nuit et le buffet du petit déjeuner, est très agréable et toujours souriant !

Locatie is met veel liefde en mooie sfeerdetails ingericht. Ruime slaapkamer, beneden een heerlijk terras en tuin waar op een hete zomerdag uitgepuft kon worden. Authentiek Frans ontbijt met oa zelfgemaakte jam, yoghurt en lokale kaas op het meer dan complete servies geserveerd. Ca 9 km van de snelweg af is dit een fijne onderbreking van 2 dagen autorijden.

De vermelde parking is niet besloten maar op straat, maar in een heel rustig stadje en omgeving. De aanbieding voor anti-muggenspul kwam net te laat, helaas al diverse malen door heel kleine mugjes gestoken (mid augustus). Advies om maatregelen te nemen alvorens op het terras plaats te nemen in de avondschemer!

L'Hôtel du Manoir est un hôtel de charme très bien entretenu et l'accueille du propriétaire est au rendez-vous. la chambre était bien agréable et très propre. Le petit déjeuner était correcte.

200m zur kathedrale....das wars auch schon....der parkplatz im hof.....furchtbar... ich war der erste am vorabrnd....um raus zu könnrn, musste rangiert werden.. man hat mir ,nur, einen abstandsfühler demoliert....das frühstück im keller auf engstem raum.... und mit hünngesvhnittener minimalbedeckung der jeweiligen teller, ein eher schlechter filterkaffee.....und....,,mein,, strassenseitiges zimmer....total überhitzt....klar...zwei fenstertüren....und den ganzen tag sonne.....zum ,,lüften,, hab ich den mistkübel in die tür gestellt, um vom stiegenhaus die wesentlich kühlere luft zu erhalten....zimmerr 17!!!

Nous avons dû quitter les lieux, car après que la dame a l’accueil nous a i formé que nous pouvions rester sur le parking de l’hôtel, un monsieur nous a réveillé pour nous dire que nous devions partir. Personne ne nous avait informé qu’il aurait fallu réserver un parking. C’était la deuxième fois que nous séjournions dans cet hôtel. L’accueil a été si inhumain et inhospitalier que nous sommes partis.

Camera piccolissima, senza condizionamento ma solo con un ventilatore (per fortuna quasi silenzioso). Essendo un sottotetto la temperatura 🌡 era molto alta e di conseguenza notte difficile. Colazione non ottima rispetto al costo.

L'accueil est très sympathique et chaleureux. L'hôtel se situe dans une cour arboré et charmante. C'est à deux pas du centre ville. Idéal pour visiter Tours.

Lors de la 3eme canicule, il faisait un peu chaud, heureusement il y avait un ventilateur et la fenêtre qui donnait sur la cour.

Super séjour ! Tout près des bords de Loire dans une maison de ville authentique.

Très bon accueil (merci entre autres de nous avoir proposé de laisser notre voiture jusqu'en début d'après-midi). Très bon lit double et très large. Ventilateur pour supporter la chaleur. Le petit-déjeuner est d'un bon rapport qualité prix. Possibilité de se rendre dans le centre à pied.

Avec la chaleur, obligation de laisser la fenêtre ouverte sur la rue donc un peu de bruit en début et fin de nuit.

Great location, really handy to have secure parking. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was tasty.

The one major contention was the sound of the floorboards in the room above us. We were significantly disturbed throughout the middle of the night due to the sound of the people above moving across the floor and the floorboards squeaking!

Great location in the old town. Friendly staff. Very clean. No ac but cool inside even with 33 degrees outside and there was a fan which we did use. I really liked that it was a traditional courtyard building with chairs under a tree. Not plush but just right for us and bed was comfy. Lift as well which was good as I found the beautiful old wood staircase a bit difficult. And parking available in the courtyard too. Tours is a really great city with loads of street cafes and shops. Also had an aquatic park and other outside spaces. We used it as a setting off point to cycle along the Loire.

The hotel is at a good location, close to the city center so we were able to walk everywhere. The hotel itself is cute, charming, but a bit "old". The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was alright, not sure it was worth what it cost - but there are plenty of options around as well. I would stay here again if in the area - just probably not in summer.

The floors are squeaky, so if you're on a lower level you can hear the people above. There is no air conditioning, and unfortunately we were there during the "heat wave". They provided a fan which was not powerful enough to help much, I spent the night awake, sweating! Not their fault there was a heat wave, but a ceiling fan would have done a better job, or a widow AC.

Absolutely charming building, close to all the sights in the old town of Tours, with a lovely little front yard to sit in. Delightful staff. Not flashy, but pretty, unspoiled and friendly. The real thing.

A big plus was the on-site car parking. Also it was within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, the Musee des Beaux Arts and Rue Colbert, with its restaurants and bars.
