Lux Fatima Hotel

Great hotel for the price. Nice rooms, good breakfast and wonderful staff. Both Ana and Joanna at the front desk were huge helps to us in assisting us in solving problems we had. Nothing bad, just things specific to our needs. The hotel is located walking distance from shops, restaurants and major attractions. They also have underground parking on site. The rooms are a bit dated and the water pressure in the shower was average which is the reason they only got 4 stars. But the staff makes up for it all.

La verdad que deja mucho que desear las habitaciones son enanas y el trato de recepción cuando se lo dices, podría mejorar muchísimo, se implican muy poco. La habitación tiene un armario de 60cm, que cuando vienes para un día te sobra, pero cuando vienes 2 personas para una semana, te obliga a dejar la ropa en la maleta. La nevera no funciona, la luz es pobre. El desayuno, aparte de ser excaso, la mitad de los días no reponen las cosas y cuando les preguntas te dicen que sí, pero es que no, 2 de los días se quedan sin agua y sin tazas para el café, que es lo ultimo que puede faltar en un desayuno. El aparcamiento que supuestamente está incluido, no puedes entrar porque está lleno siempre que vienes. Lo único bueno que tiene es la ubicación que está muy cerca del Santuario. Por mi pueden cerrar de lo peor que he visto en años.

El personal no muy amable, pero el hotel muy cerca y cómodo, muy extraño como está separado las suites y hotel, pero funciona. Muy accesible para silla de ruedas.

We were not given the free bottle of wine and also not to mention when we got to the hotel there was a mix up in the reservation as it has 2 adults and 1 child and a baby once in the room there was not a roll out bed or even a cot for a child as it should of been 2 adults and a child I was told I should have booked the right room we were given a travel cot which my child could not fit inside

La atención al cliente es pésima. La habitación no la limpian a diario sin posibilidad de obtener toallas limpias y aseo en el baño. Los colchones están en mal estado pandeados y clavándose los muelles y se sale el agua al ducharte por la mampara, cayendo el agua al suelo inundándose. El desayuno casi siempre el queso gril y pavo está en mal estado.

Tuvimos que cambiar 3 veces de habitación y al final nos tuvimos que quedar con la primera ya que las otras opciones eran mucho peores que la primera. En definitiva muy mala experiencia,no volveremos más a este hotel

Gammel og slidt 4 stjernet hotel, som trænger til modernisering. Vi fik først tilbudt et utilstrækkeligt rengjort værelse, og efter reklamation får vi en upgrade til et større og rent værelse.

I had a wonderful stay at Lux Hotel.The staff were friendly and attentive, and my room was clean and spacious. The highlight was the delicious buffet breakfast with plenty of options. Great amenities and a perfect location make this hotel a top choice. Highly recommend!

Quiet and few minutes walk to shrine

Staff were not the friendliness. Rooms and hallways were dark. Also, they need to make clear the difference between Fátima lux and Fatima lux park before booking,

The hotel was ok but the guy in the restaurant ripped us off on our bill. And it was not by mistake, he was being dishonest!

Beautiful hotel, amazing customer service, delicious breakfast and walking distance to the bus station and Santuario de Fatima.

A perfect place to stay in Fatima. Close to the sanctuary, a five minute walk. I think this is ideal as it’s quiet here. If you stay at one of the hotels closer to the sanctuary, you’ll hear buses coming and going filled with the noises of tourists. Come out of the hotel and turn right and it’s a five minute walk to the sanctuary. Turn left and it’s a 10 minute walk to where the children lived and grew up. The staff here are very helpful and multilingual. The breakfast is plentiful. I think it really is the ideal location for a stay here.

The exterior looks worn and could do with a coat of paint . The shops which seem to be part of the hotel are mainly vacant which doesn’t make the property look appealing. The staff were attentive and friendly and the breakfast was good.

Average. Customer service is average. Breakfast is ok.

The only thing that i like is we are very closed to the sanctuary, accessible restaurants, but the hotel don’t serve llunch & dinner, but our stay is fine

Chambre trop bruyante

Para um hotel 4 estrelas muita coisa a desejar: quarto com fraco isolamento de som, pequeno almoço de um 3 estrelas, atendimento confuso, banheira sem possibilidade de tomar banho de imersão, inundações na casa de banho com um banho de chuveiro por mau isolamento… Para um 3 estrelas ok, para um 4 precisa de algo mais (isto sem falar que nem piscina nem spa estavam a funcionar)

Ao lado do Santuário e restaurantes, quarto bom, estacionamento free Check-in antecipado não autorizado, o que atrapalhou bastante nossa viagem Estacionamento poderia ser melhor sinalizado e informado, a entrada é pelos fundos do hotel e antes da portaria

I had no issues with the property because it’s nice, the breakfast is fine but unfortunately the management is not too much efficient - I have a special medical condition and I have a special medication that need to stay in the fridge. At the moment of the booking the fridge was included for this reason I chose them, also mostly of the hotel in Fatima where we stayed in the past provided fridge. In the room the fridge was closed with a door because is part of a kitchen. After several requests to open the door and have accessibility to the fridge, the personal assured the door is open immediately (first lie) after 2 days of staying finally the door was opened, but surprisingly the fridge doesn’t works. Long story short I had to leave a day before for this reason and the hotel refused to (because their faulty) refund me the last night. My booking provider tried to negotiate with them, but one receptionist said:” if was booked with us we’ll refund you but your provider not” so if you get the room 642 be aware of this inconvenience and if you need to use the fridge consider this comment

We stayed here for one night on our Exoticca tour of Portugal. I wasn't here very long, so I can't give that comprehensive of a review. Instead, I'll say that it was the nicest of the hotels we stayed in on our trip (not that that's saying much). Still, it was very average. The room was nice and modern. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was sleek. Still, it had no discernible view to speak of. The phone in the room didn't work either, so if we had an issue, we had to go to the front desk to ask for anything. The staff was pleasant enough and accommodating. The location was right near the town center, so it was easy to walk around. The biggest negative is the breakfast. The food quality was subpar and it didn't have a wide variety of choices. It also opened up pretty late for us, considering we only had like 20 minutes or so to eat before we had to get ready to go. Overall, not the worst hotel in the world. You could do worse (and on this Exoticca tour, there was much worse).

Burnt out lights, no tissue, no bidet towels, no hair conditioner, no mini fridge, no coffee maker, no extra blanket, no extra pillow, 3 hangers and single ply toilet paper; and that was just the room. The hotel restaurant is another flop. We decided to try the supper/dinner buffet and in my opinion you should never leave a buffet hungry yet we did. None of the food was marked to say what it was, serving spoons were used for more than one item creating cross contamination, no water on the table and when you asked for water you received at most a 1/2 cup and then they took the water away, and no salt or pepper on the table. I started with a bowl of unknown soup and while I was eating the server took my bowl away; he didn’t even ask he just grabbed it. I had a salad plate next and then moved on to the entrees and by the time I reached those, the warming trays were almost empty, the mixed vegetables were cold, there was no fish, the fish spoon was used in the rice which was also cold, there were 3 pieces of chicken floating in a warming tray of oil and believe me you could not taste the chicken just the oil as it dripped off of the piece (uck). We asked for wine, which we did receive and as the other couple started eating their dessert a man came over and was very abrupt and rude and demanded payment for the glasses of wine. The breakfast the following morning was even worse! The coffee line up was so long by the time you got anywhere near the table in front of the coffee machines, which were dirty, (2 machines) there were no cups and no one was replacing them. I stood in one line for over 7 minutes and was not even close to getting a cup of coffee. So if you enjoy starting your day with a fresh cup of coffee it is virtually impossible while staying at the Lux Hotel. The hot food was disgusting! Very runny scrambled eggs, burnt bacon, half cooked sausages dripping in olive oil, and what looked like canned mushrooms. There were breads and pastries, cold meats and cheeses, and the smallest skimpiest four fruit platter I have seen at a buffet. The 2 juice dispensers were dirty and I never saw a staff member refilling anything. If the hotel is referred to as a 4 star luxury hotel, I hate to think what an actual 2 star hotel experience includes.

I stayed in the hotel as part of a tour with Exoticca and was extremely disappointed. It lacked any of the facilities of a 4 star hotel and appeared to be half closed. We appeared to be in an annexe which was poorly maintained, lack basic facilities it advertised for example it had a kettle but no tea or coffee. The room was miles from reception and had no information on how to contact reception so when I encountered problem with TV and a flooded bathroom I was unable to summon help. I was cold and tired so literally gave up and went to bed. For me the hotel had nothing to recommend it. I emailed with full details of my complaints on leaving the hotel bug have heard nothing from them. Poor show !!

It was okay. Receptionist wasn’t too friendly when we arrived. As a Four Star hotel I expected a better room. Balcony was smaller than other hotels. They didn’t have a mini bar or other amenities that cheaper hotel would have. Breakfast was cold. The milk smelt sour & there was a tiny bug on the tongs for the mushroom. It was a little disappointing.

The hotel is mid-range. The rooms are small. But the location is very good. Five minutes walk from the Fatima Shrine. It serves breakfast buffet but not very huge spread. The room was clean and we stayed for only one night. There is cafe onsite and several restaurants within walking distance.

Excellent location near the Sanctuary. You could also go to the Camino de los Pastorcitos walking. Breakfast was not good. Food was cold

The room was great, the bed was comfortable, and it meat all my needs. The worse part of this hotel was that the spout to get hot water for tea was the same as the coffee spout, which is unacceptable to a tea drinker. The balance of the buffet was good.

We were with a tour.group. Its nice looking, clean and convient. Amenities are virtually non exent. Not even a coke machine. The bed was low enough to trip over. Instead of a queen bed they pushed 2 singles together, but not attached. Thus fall o fell through the gap. A person could break a hip that way. The food line was horrendus, and food medeocre.the latter people in line runs out of some kinds of food. Frequently running out of dishes. My room was shaped like a "T". You open the door. Straight is the room , which was very dark and differcult to find things in ones bag. To the left a rest room. To the right a short hall with the closet. The light in the short hall lets you see in the closet. The light was nonfunctioning. To find my clothes i had to use my cell phone light. After asking the front desk to change the bulb 4 times, i gave up. Was never fixed.

Hotel moderno, confortável, silencioso, tudo muito bom.

We travelled here with an Exotica group. A 4 star hotel? Really? Why can't you get ice at any hotel in Portugal? I have always had an ice bucket in my room and a rusty old rattling ice machine somewhere close by even in the worst places I've stayed at. Not here. You have to ask the front desk staff and they will begrudgingly find you a small plastic bag filled with ice. I did enjoy the bidet. That is something I think we north Americans need to get on board with. It's important to keep the undercarriage clean. Rooms are clean, the bed is comfy. Pillows could be better. Much better. The "flatscreen TV" they advertise in the rooms is smaller than my computer monitor from 1997. I'm not kidding. I actually laughed out loud when I saw it. It might be 17 inches diagonally and I'm being generous. The bar was closed. No explanation. Just closed. 40 weary travellers arrive thirsty at 5:30pm and the bar is closed? Do they not want to make money? Wi-fi was dial up slow. Now the worst part. We were offered the option to make a reservation for the buffet. $18 for what might be described as cattle feed. No, I'll be honest, I wouldn't feed that swill to my cows. It was disgusting. The "pork (maybe?)looked like it was cooked about 3 days ago and left out to dry on a buffet warming table, I swear. Even the veggies tasted awful. How do you mess up steamed carrots? It was awful. Not a great experience. Sorry, I would not recommend this hotel.

No wifi on room 719 moved to 301 but window does not shut so noisy and creaking doors. One door on 301 needs fixing hinges Paid breakfast not as fresh. Long queues one day we have to leave due to lots of people in the line when we came back same

Had a lovely room with a Juliet balcony with a view of The Sanctuary. Breakfast had lots of choice and very enjoyable. We didn’t eat there in the evening and the bar was closed, which was fine for us. Pool area nice, although we only looked. Brilliant location for The Sanctuary. Overall, we recommend this hotel.

Ótimo atendimento, limpeza e condições do quarto. Pequeno almoço farto. O atendente Maicon foi impecável. Deu dica de um ótimo restaurante próximo ao hotel (apollo café). Faltou apenas uma TV smart no quarto. Voltaremos certamente.

We were pleased with the location. The room was clean and the complimentary breakfast had many choices. That all being said it was very bare and nothing stood out to make it memorable. Many in my group complained about the beds. Comfort is very subjective. We loved our bed!

O hotel é bem confortavel. Perto do Santuário. Estacionamento gratuito. O cafe da manha é bom. Somente acho que deveria possuir um servico de quarto ou ter umas maquinss com sanduiches e bebidas para venda. Chegamos da procissão das velas as 22:30 e ja estava tudo fechado nas ruas e nao tinha tambem nada para lancharmos no hotel, pois não tinha vaga no restaurante para o jantar.

The bed was so confortable. The room had a lot of space and the bed too! I loved my stay here. The only critic I can make is that, at the time of my stay, is was December and the passage was a bit cold. It was really affordable for the time of our stay. You're really near of everything in Fatima here.

It's clean,near to the shops

This hotel is poorly run. Our room 627 was not served by WiFi Internet. I complained about it to Marc at the Front Desk 3 times. Finally a technical crew arrived and determined that the router on the 6 floor near our room was not projecting a signal to our room. This could not be remdied during our stay, and no other accomodation was offered. We asked to have our room made up early each day, Marc was argumentative and told us that he can not assure anything. The attitude of Marc was that of a Mr. No to all of our routine customary requests needed to make our hotel stay pleasant. The lack of internet and the lack of a positive attitude of the front desk staff succeeded in placing this hotel on the do not return list for us. The room had minimal ighting adjacen

It was amazing

The hotel is clean and they have COVID-19 policies such as additional disinfection and cleaning - Use of mask in the public areas of the hotel / Alcohol gel / I needed to choose my breakfast time and also the pool hour to keep social distancing (we could only stay for 2h00 on Saturday and 1h50 on Sunday). Very good breakfast and free parking.

Property puts more choices for breakfast on Sunday than during weekdays. Watermelon on Monday was left over from Sunday. That the only bad comment about this property.

Hotel was lovely but a bit of an issue with the shower head as it didn’t fit into the fixture and fell off every time it was used .

Higiene estava em boas condições, quarto foi limpo e devidamente arrumado, bons serviços é boas indicações pelos funcionários do hotel. Apenas deixou um bocadinho a desejar a piscina do hotel, esperava que fosse um pouco mais funda, mas serve perfeitamente para refrescar.

The place is neat, clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful and pleasant to talk to. The only i am not please about is there is’t enough light in the room and full length mirror would be nice.

The hotel is located extremely close to the Fatima shrine, a 5 minute walk! Even if you are not religious it is a site to see. The hotel itself is very nice, the best you will get in Fatima. The food is great in the dining room, and almost everyone speaks English! The rooms are clean and big. They could use a fresh coat of paint, asides that very good!

wow...my good choice of hotel to stay in Fatima. Nice place ..very friendly reception and service team. Price and Quality is absolutely perfect. Quiet room and in very clean conditions. I was travelling in Portugal and passing in Fatima, I stayed (via Booking.com) in this hotel which is only minutes walking from the favorite & worth seeing "Sanctuary of Lady Fatima". A perfect place to to stay...easy to find and have privat parking garage included (no extra charge-thank you to the reception staff). We arrived late, so we enjoyed the dinner buffet service (16Euro/pers) includes bottle of red wine for two people. Great and excellent service staff-special THANK YOU to Lucas for your very attentive and friendly service! Large breakfast buffet with all variations of warm/cold and fresh food...includes excellent espresso/cafe and fresh croissants! My recommentation: not have early hour breakfast because of many possible bus tourists, we started bf around 9am, which was great time...not many people(tourist buses all gone), all quiet and staff where very helpfull in services. Thanks to all of you.
