ארוחת הבוקר הייתה מגוונת,מאוד אירופאית שמתאימה בעיקר למי החורף הקרים בגרמניה

הפקיד בקבלה היה מאוד לא שירותי ולא אדיב,במקלחת לא היה סבון רחצה,התקשרתי לקבלה ללא מענה,אחרי דקות ארוכות ענו לי משרות הלקוחות ואמרו שיודיעו לקבלה והם יחזר אליי,העדפתי לרדת לקבלה,שם הפקיד בהתחלה התעלם ממני,אח"כ ענה לטלפון,כשהערתי את תשומת ליבו שאני ממתין לו ללא מענה,תשובתו הייתה:אני בטלפון,אמרתי לו אני אורח כאן,תשובתו הייתה גם בטלפון זו אורחת. לאחר שסיים אמרתי לו שאין סבון גוף במקלחת,הוא לא הגיב,הלך ולאחר כמה דקות הביא לי 3 שפורפרות עם סבון ושמפו,זה לא שירות ובטח לא כפי המצופה מפקיד במלון שנחשב בוטיק ויוקרתי.

My experience at the Colony Hotel was appalling, not because of the room itself, but because of the behaviour of the staff and management. I booked through Agoda. My booking confirmation clearly states that **18% VAT is included in the price**. It even explains that non-Israeli guests may later be eligible for a VAT refund. Despite this, at check-in the receptionist insisted that VAT had not been paid and attempted to charge me an additional 18%. I showed her the confirmation. She called another staff member, who repeated exactly the same claim. Only after I refused to pay twice did they say they would "check with the manager" and gave me the room key. I also asked whether a late checkout was possible. Without checking availability or the occupancy for the day, the receptionist simply replied, "Not on weekdays." The following morning, while I was having breakfast with my daughter, the manager came to our table and told me to come to his office after breakfast. When I did, he produced a page headed **"Expedia Group"** and claimed it was my booking. Apart from the fact that I had booked through Agoda (which is part of Booking Holdings, not Expedia), this was completely irrelevant. I again explained that he already had my booking confirmation, which clearly states VAT is included. Instead of checking the actual booking, he became increasingly aggressive, raised his voice, and spoke to me in an extremely disrespectful manner. As I walked away, he threatened to report me as a **non-paying customer**, despite the fact that I had paid in full before arriving. Then, to top it all off, a young girl—who appeared to be connected to the reception staff rather than a hotel employee—came out and shouted after us: > **"Never come back here!"** This was said in front of my daughter. I've stayed in hotels around the world for decades. I've dealt with mistakes before. What I've almost never experienced is management doubling down when they're wrong, refusing to look at the customer's actual booking confirmation, raising their voice, making false accusations, and then allowing someone to verbally abuse paying guests as they leave. If this is how the Colony Hotel treats customers over a straightforward billing question, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

In my opinion the best hotel in Haifa. The service and hospitality is the best and always made feel so very welcome every time I visit. It is my home from home for the past 10 years.

Here’s a polished version of your review: The location is excellent, with easy access to bus stations that provide direct connections to the train station. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I decided to extend my accommodation by an extra night, and the team handled everything very professionally. First, the receptionist checked whether it would be possible for me to remain in the same room without having to check out and move to another room. He later called my room and informed me that they were working on the issue and would update me the following day. The next morning, while I was having breakfast, a receptionist approached me and informed me that they had successfully arranged everything, so there would be no need to check out and check in again. I really appreciated their proactive approach. They remembered my situation and updated me as soon as they saw me, without me having to go to the reception desk and ask for an update. The food was also excellent, with a wide variety of options suitable for all ages. Everything was clean and well maintained, and all staff members were always willing to help. As a lovely welcoming gesture, I even found chocolates on my bed when I arrived. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would gladly stay here again.

מלון בוטיק קטן ונעים, החדר מאובזר עם כל מה שצריך ויותר מכך, עם נוף נהדר לגנים הבהאים, שרות אדיב כולל ארוחת בוקר טובה מגוונת. מיקום מצויין במושבה הגרמנית קרוב לואדי ניסנס ולעוד איזורי עניין בעיר התחתית.

Very clean and fragrant. Spacious room quiet and location was very good and parking.

I expected more from the breakfast buffet. There was variety but not very appealing. On Saturday of course the breads weren’t fresh nor could you heat or toast. But overall nice breakfast

מלון שנמצא במבנה היסטורי מעניין, עם סיפור שמתפרס על פני למעלה מ 100 שנה, בלב המושבה הגרמנית של חיפה. המלון נעים, מפנק ומזמין, והנוף הנשקף מהמרפסת ומהחדרים לים התיכון ולמקדש הבהאים מקסים. המלון מאפשר להנות מחיפה ההיסטורית, והמושבה הגרמנית, ואדי ניסנס והעיר התחתית נעימים לשוטטות, ומהווים דגם חיפאי ייחודי של רב-גוניות וסובלנות בין תרבויות ודתות.

הצוות אחלה ארוחת הבוקר טוב. המקום קצת מיושן אפשר קצת לשפר את הנקראות. סה"כ סבבה

המנעול על דלת היה רעוש מאוד, לא היה לי נעים כל פעם לפתוח אותה. נזהרתי לא לרעיש לחדרים השכנים.

נהננו מאד מהשהות שלנו במלון. המיקום מעולה הצוות היה אדיב. החדר נוח ונקי. המבנה של המלון פשוט מרהיב וארוחת הבוקר היתה נהדרת. מומלץ מאד.

ארוחת בוקר טובה ומספקת. אוירה מאוד נחמדה, כאילו חזרה בזמן לתקופת ראשית המדינה. האמבטיה הגדולה בחדר.

את ארוחת הבוקר, מצומצמת יחסית, מקום היסטורי. יש מקום לשיפוץ המקום.

מקום מרכזי מאוד אך שקט. מנוהל באופן מוקפד ושקט. נעים, נקי, כל מה שצריך ממלון במרכז העיר.

The location and view from the hotel are great. Perfect for exploring the lower City and Port areas with many restaurants nearby and the Baha'i gardens of course. Also the historical building is very cool and pretty well preserved Beyond that, however don't expect luxury. The rooms are very basic and small, and not quite to the standard I expected for the price. Bed and linens not very comfortable, light fixtures of old, bathroom pretty rustic. But hey, it's Israel and hotels are expensive and many of them are older. Likewise the breakfast buffet was a little disappointing. Certainly not bad compared to European or American standard but by Israeli standards it was a small and simple buffet, and the cooked foods were not very well done. Also the hot food was not really hot. Overall, I do appreciate the historic building and the personal service but I I think the hotel itself is not very comfortable and I wouldn't rush to return.

המיטה לצערי לא היתה לי נוחה, רכה מידי, אבל אציין שיש לי בעיות בגב אז אולי אני לא מייצגת את הרוב
