Our unit was serviced on our first stay. Very clean units. We will definitely be recommending this motel to friends and family.

Wall heater too small for the space. Slept in bed in the lounge as it was a warmer area. Shower was not high-pressure. Neighbors were noisy, not the motel's fault, just annoying at 4 am

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026I loved this motel, so cute, nice view from our room upstairs. The staff were so helpful and friendly, we were greeted with milk and chocolate fish on arrival, which was so nice after a bumpy flight to Blenheim. On realizing we were daughter and mother rather than a couple we were immediately offered an upgrade in room to give us our own space, which worked out so nicely. The second morning the staff greeted us outside and offered to get us a bucket of water to defrost our car window and everyday when we arrived back, our room had been serviced beautifully, fresh towels, fresh bin liner, and a tidy bench, and with it being so cold, I loved the electric blankets on the bed. I totally recommend this place and would definitely return if we're back in the area.
If I was gonna be absolutely picky and because I'm a cold person, I would love better heating. That is not to say it wasn't sufficient, but you can't obtain the cosy room temperature I love Nevertheless this is a very small detail that wouldn't deter me from coming.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Tolles Motel, ideale Lage auch für Durchreisende. Ganz lieber, hilfsbereiter Besitzer. Haben Upgrade bekommen, da Nebensaison. Alles sauber, bequeme Betten. Man muss im Klaren sein, dass Motel direkt an der Hauptstraße ist, uns hat es nicht gestört.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2026Nice little place to stay, cosy, pleasant, host friendly & helpful, kitchen well equiped, bed comfortable, good first location when arriving in South Island from Picton. Nice walks 10 mins away by car at Rotary lookout & Wairau Lagoons.
The motel is right on the highway and when there is heavy or multiple traffic the whole building shakes.
