breakfast is good but expensive for a buffet. restaurant is not bad but maybe too internationally generic. playground for children is cool but many toys start to be brittle or broken.

Parfait en tout points. Le personnel est très professionnel, intentionné et extrêmement sympathique. L’hôtel ainsi que ses infrastructures extérieures( jardins ,bars et piscine ) sont superbes. Les petits déjeuners sont complets et copieux. Les repas du soirs sont eux aussi succulents. C’était le deuxième séjour et certainement pas le dernier.

Excepto nuestra habitación el resto de las instalaciones del hotel son agradables. Una buena piscina.

Nos alejamos en una habitación triple. Tenía 2 plantas. Abajo el baño y un pequeño salón. Arriba una cama doble grande y cómoda, y un sofá-cama. Únicamente tenía una ventana tipo velux en la planta superior y ninguna otra ventana más. Sin vistas. Eso hace que baje la puntuación.

Nous avons été enchanté de cet hôtel. La chambre était très confortable avec une grande salle de bains. La piscine extérieure est spacieuse dans un parc de toute beauté. À 5 minutes du centre et de l'embarcadère.

Nous n'avons rien à reprocher à cet hôtel, à recommander.

Globalement tout est parfait, juste de petits détails : il manque un peignoir avec des chaussons pour se rendre à la piscine ou au spa et des patères dans la salle de bain pour accrocher les serviettes ; enfin les œufs au petit déjeuner ne sont pas bons( brouillés ou durs ) .

Le buffet du petit déjeuner a 27€ est trop cher. Au café à côté de la piscine une omelette à 17€ c est excessif aussi.

Rustig, ontbijt was lekker.

Er werd een poging ondernomen bij de afrekening om nog eens 5 procent fooi aan te rekenen terwijl wij bij elke rekening service hadden betaald en reeds fooien aan de obers gegeven hadden. Heb dit van de rekening laten halen, dit gebeurde zonder problemen.

Entrando in questo hotel, si ha l'impressione di trovarsi in una vera reggia, arredata con grande gusto e soprattutto con una cura straordinaria per ogni particolare. Non parlo soltanto degli elementi d'arredo, ma anche delle finiture, delle opere murarie e di tutti quei dettagli che rivelano quanto nulla sia stato lasciato al caso. Un insieme elegante, raffinato e perfettamente armonioso. A rendere il soggiorno ancora più piacevole è il personale: sempre sorridente, gentile, disponibile e mai invadente. Un'accoglienza che fa sentire immediatamente a proprio agio. E poi la pulizia, davvero impeccabile: tutto è curato con una meticolosità che si nota in ogni ambiente. Percorrendo la bellissima galleria, (collegamento interno) , si raggiungere il lago e la piazzetta Un hotel che definirei semplicemente splendido, in una posizione ideale per vivere pienamente una vacanza sul lago Maggiore

It’s hard to describe this hotel - lots of pros and cons depending on how much it has cost. For us, we had a very good stay and had more pros than cons - so this review is nuanced, and overall I would recommend. The hotel really is opulent and beautiful, extremely clean, great pool and sunbed area, professional staff. The underground link to the Grand Hotel Dino is fantastic (and quite a quirk) as it leads straight to the beach club which is very nicely done. The Grand Hotel Dino is equally opulent and very well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay.

As others have said, not everything is included which is acceptable if you didn’t pay much (like us) but it’s ridiculous if you’ve paid a lot. The well appointed gym is not included and costs €12/day extra; the sauna isn’t included and I think you have to pay; the front row of the beach club is reserved for suites; the pontoon has to be reserved for a lot of money; the room fridge seems to require you to open with your card; you have to refuse a 5% service charge at the end if you don’t want it (which the hotel staff were polite and fine with doing). Not the end of the world but frustrating if you’ve paid a lot. We had one of the cheapest rooms in the oldest part of the hotel (which was musky and mouldy - we were told it was the AC, which we knew it wasn’t, and when we’re moved the next day the other room also smelt of mould). We accepted this frustrating downside as we paid a reasonable amount for our stay and enjoyed the hotel’s amenities but we expected better for such a professional hotel. The room itself was comfortable but it is very dated and doesn’t match the opulence of the hotel. Bedding is frumpy, the fittings feel run down and the bathroom needs renovating. Overall, it was acceptable but a downside.

Nous avons choisi l’Hôtel Simplon à Baveno comme étape sur la route de Milan, situé à environ 1h30 de notre destination. Réservation faite à 15h pour le soir même, en choisissant la chambre la moins chère pour trois personnes. Nous avons eu une jolie chambre sous les toits, certes sans fenêtre classique, mais avec une lucarne. Nous sommes arrivés vers 21h30 : parking à disposition et accueil parfait malgré l’heure tardive. La très belle surprise nous attendait le lendemain matin : une grande piscine installée dans un magnifique parc, dont nous avons pu profiter avant notre départ. Petit café au bord de la piscine, puis départ tranquillement pour Milan vers 11h. Une étape choisie un peu par hasard qui s’est révélée être une excellente surprise. Nous y reviendrions volontiers.

The staff was really nice and friendly, the Location was Perfect and the Atmosphere in this “old Italian style” hotel was very cosy. The pool and the poolbar was perfect.

One “dark cloud”: the manager… she was not very cooperative - we wanted to shorten our stay for one night and instead of offering something she was quit rude and insisted on a now show by full payment.

Chambre sans vue, un peu trop sombre malgré l’ensoleillement. Elle n’en restait pas moins confortable.

Tolles Hotel mit sehr schönem Pool. Perfekt ist außerdem die Verbindung mit Grandhotel Dino, sodass auch der Strand und das Hallenbad benützt werden können.

Chambre propre, confortable et bien équipée. Le petit-déjeuner est incroyable avec un large choix et un cadre magnifique pour bien commencer la journée. Le personnel est vraiment souriant, professionnel et disponible.

Il faut bien relever un élément, ce sera le parking payant à 25€ la journée, au prix de la chambre, la gratuité serait possible.

Ruim opgezet, schoon en goed hotel met heerlijk zwembad en tuin. Vriendelijk personeel en ideale locatie in Baveno.

De kamer had iets ruimer gemogen en een moderne ruime douche, niet in bad, past beter bij de kwaliteit van de rest van het hotel.

Der Pool war absolut traumhaft. Die Bar ist sehr charmant.

Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, aber es wäre etwas mehr möglich. Bsp. Nutella

Nous étions 3 amies et étions déjà venues à l'hôtel Simplon en 2019. 7 ans plus tard nous étions les mêmes et avons voulu revenir à Baveno. L'hôtel était toujours aussi parfait, accueillant, nous avons spécialement apprécié la piscine et les alentours. Notre séjour a été très agréable.

Le personnel, très professionnel, agréable et très à l'écoute. Établissement très bien situé pour toutes les activités sur le lac et pour visiter les îles Borromée. La piscine, très agréable ! On peut également profiter des piscines du grand hôtel Dino juste à côté..mais davantage fréquentées

Frühstück ist den Preis nicht wert. Balkons sind sehr klein. Ist eben ein altes Gebäude.

Prachtig hotel. De ene mooie ruimte na de andere. Bijzonder prettig personeel. Dank! Alle faciliteiten ook van hotel Dino. Onze zoons waren erg blij met de complete gym (12 euro ppp 24 uur). Je liep verder zo binnendoor naar het schone prive strand van Dino met fijne (gratis) ligbedjes. Niet te druk. Wat een topmeer en uitzicht. En een mooie bar er vlak achter je waar je vanalles kon bestellen, van cocktails tot pizza. Je kon ook op de bedjes op de pier maar die moet je vooraf reserveren. Zwembaden vonden wij wat duk, maar daar kwamen we ook niet voor. Tip: neem zelf een sup mee. Die werden zomer 26 niet meer bij lido beach verhuurd. Verder vonden wij bij Bully's Ristopub (6 min lopen vanaf hotel) erg lekkere burgers (1 vega) en leuke relaxte sfeer. Niet fancy. Wel reserveren en vraag om tafeltje buiten.

Unser Zimmer war gepflegt und sauber. In der Poolanlage im weitläufigen Garten konnten wir uns wunderbar entspannen. Das Auto war auf dem großen Parkplatz sicher abgestellt.

Non è un hotel economico ma il prezzo lo vale tutto. La posizione è vicina al centro (qualche minuto a piedi), camere vista lago, parcheggio a disposizione (non ne abbiamo usufruito perché nelle vicinanze ci sono dei parcheggi bianchi) e staff super cordiale (dalla reception, ai camerieri, al personale di pulizia). Ci hanno fatto gratuitamente un upgrade della camera dal retro a vista lago. Camera spaziosa, due bagni, due televisioni, vari punti di appoggio e molto confortevole. Il vero punto di forza è la piscina, dimensioni giuste, prato tutto intorno così non si scivola, pulita e personale sempre presente. Hotel adatto a famiglie con bambini. La colazione è cara (27 euro a px) ma il bar vicino alla piscina permette comunque di consumare pagando meno. I prezzi sono alti della cucina però i piatti sono ottimi (provata sia la colazione sia il pranzo) e sono anche ben presentati. Soggiorno davvero piacevole all'insegna del confort e del vero relax!

La struttura è molto grande e richiede molta manutenzione quindi capisco i prezzi un po' elevati. Forse solo l'acqua da 0,75l a 5 euro mi sembra un pò eccessiva.

Séjour merveilleux au calme , dans cet hôtel magnifique, l espace piscine est juste incroyable, petit déjeuner de l hôtel gargantuesque , celui du bar plus intimiste et très agréable , propreté irréprochable, et personnel extrêmement obligeant. Le cœur de ville est à 5min à pied , avec départ bateau pour les îles borromees , entre autres . Un sans faute .

Das Hotel ist unterirdisch über einen Tunnel mit seinem Partnerhotel Dino verbunden, so das man direkten See Zugang am privaten künstlichen Sandstrand hat. Dieser ist auch mit ausreichend Liegemöglichkeiten ausgestattet.

Das Frühstück im Hotel ist recht teuer.

Ho avuto molto caldo durante la notte, non si può pensare di dormire con il piumino a luglio, il clima era ottimo e non c’era alcun bisogno di tenere accesa l’aria condizionata durante la notte, bisognerebbe dare un’alternativa, creando la possibilità di coprirsi con il solo lenzuolo.
