Had a terrible experience. I woke after my first night absolutely eaten alive. I was covered in masses of bites. Strange as my husband was in the next bed and had no problems. Bed linen was clean but obviously a deeper problem. Was unable then to use the pool as my body was unsightly with bites. The restaurant was fine as a breakfast facility but was not the quality of a 4* evening meal facility. A very disappointing stay.

Camas incómodas con colchones duros, olor fuerte a humedad en los armarios, nos han alojado primero en la habitación con la ventana del baño dando al patio (estaba en la planta baja) y tenía cortinas transparentes, por lo cual se podía ver perfectamente qué se hacía en el baño. El personal era poco amable, decían que podían cambiar la habitación por precio adicional (porque no tenían habitaciones de la misma categoría en otra planta). Han encontrado una básica solo después de pedir que llamen al encargado.

El check-in a partir de las 15 horas, un poco tarde...pero entendible teniendo en cuenta las fechas en las que nos alojamos.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026De kwaliteit is zoals je mag verwachten van een parador. Comfortabele kamers, goed diner en uitgebreid ontbijt. Goed zwembad met veel ligstoelen en genoeg bomen om in de schaduw te liggen. De ligging in het centrum van Cambados is handig, en parkeren is makkelijk.
Eigenlijk beviel alles wel, alleen was de sfeer (vergeleken met andere paradors) niet echt bijzonder. Relatief duur.

si vous ne faite pas attention, on vous donne une des chambre de Rez de chaussée qui donne sur le jardin avec devant votre fenêtre...des tables qui servent pour les clients. Du coup, difficile de laisser les rideaux ouverts...

Never experienced such hospitality. Well curated - from the lobby to the room, shower, beds and everything in between. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026Die Lage ist sehr zentral zur Altstadt und zur Küste. Unser Zimmer mit Blick zum Pool war geräumig und komfortabel, die Betten bequem, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch am Pool. Leckeres Abendessen.
Das Frühstück war uns zu teuer, es gibt viele gute Optionen in der Nähe. Im eigentlich schönen Innenhof störten uns einige fehlende Fenster , dafür Plastikplanen ..Das Zimmer könnte eine Auffrischung vertragen ( Mobiliar, Bad)..Wir hatten allerdings einen sehr günstigen Preis und wollen uns daher nicht wirklich beklagen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Si busca amabilidad y buen servicio no venga a este hotel. David de bar y Polina de recepción muy amables. En general no saben lo que es "hospitality". La Señora del desayuno, mal educada, autoritaria y desagradable, creo que se llama Natalia Rojo, ese tipo de persona le puede aruinar el día en 1 minuto. En resumen, no volvería a este hotel ni a ningun hotel de cadena Paradores hasta que cambien sus politicas de servicio. Easy to walk to waterfront Parking easy on property Premium room with sitting area, nicely furnished. Very traditional feel in line with "parador" experience Criticisms are due to retrofitting an older building - fewer outlets, lack of USB, USB-C outlets, Unusually warm spell for region revealed limitations of central AC - some parts of room like entry and sitting area were not cooled as well probably to vent location. The sleeping area was fine. Tip: If you leave room card in the electricity / lights slot it will keep AC on during your absence. The bed was a king sized bed, comfortable, nice linens Bathroom - nice hot shower with great pressure. Did not eat in hotel so cannot comment. Bar area and terrace quiet and pleasant Solid and enjoyable 8 out of 10 experience

The restaurant. I phoned 10 days in advance of our stay to request a vegan meal. On the day of arrival I checked the meal was ordered. However when we went to the resaturant at 21.00hrs we were told no vegan meals were available. Waitress was very unhelpful. No Manager on site to talk to so we had to leave and find an alternative venue. Appalling customer service. Did not take kindly to my review and responded by attacking my character

Reviewed May 19, 2026I booked a night at the Parador in Cambados as a 30th Anniversary surprise for my partner. Ten days before check in I phoned the hotel and asked if a vegan evening meal could be provided and I was assured that it was. On the day of arrival I checked with reception that a vegan meal was available and was told it was. We went to the dining room at 21.00hrs and the waitress didn´t come to our table until 21.25hrs (not even a drink order was taken). I asked about the vegan meal explaining I had phoned in advance and she was adament that vegan meals were not available but the cheese could be taken off the salad or the egg and bull´s cheek could be taken from another dish. We left the restaurant and expressed our disappointment to the receptionist who was very understanding and spoke to the waiting staff but got the same response. I do not think it is acceptable to accept a reservation for a vegan meal and not provide one. What should have been a celebratory evening turned into a very disappointing one as we ended up having burger and chips in a local bar. I asked to speak to a Manager before checkout but was told he/she wasnt available. I am now having difficulty finding an email address to email the Hotel.

Reviewed May 16, 2026Everything! Beautiful historic building with large comfortable rooms. Many charming lounge and dining areas and a lovely courtyard where you can sit outdoors. After our city visits the Paradore was blissfully peaceful. The central location enabled us to walk to anything we needed or just to enjoy the charms of the town. The staff at the desk and dining room were nothing but kind and helpful! The Paradore de Cambados was the highlight of all the accommodations we had in Spain!
Being used to opening times in America, we were a bit confused at first as to when to expect food service (restaurants in town included) to be open. It really wasn’t a problem though..
