Aporté explicaciones y solicité una excepción razonable, pero el establecimiento decidió mantener el cargo íntegro sin ofrecer ninguna alternativa. Legalmente puede que tengan derecho a hacerlo según las condiciones de la reserva, pero desde el punto de vista de la atención al cliente me ha parecido una actuación muy poco empática. La sensación final es haber pagado por una habitación en la que nunca llegué a alojarme. No recomendaría este establecimiento a quienes valoren la flexibilidad y la comprensión ante situaciones imprevistas.

Reviewed Aug 21, 2026Ce Parador est un endroit magnifique est inoubliable situé au cœur de la très jolie ville d'Almagro qui recèle de trésors cachés à découvrir. Le cadre est somptueux, on se perd dans ses longs couloirs, ses 14 patios, ses larges escaliers, ses divers espaces de restauration et de détente. La piscine est grande et profonde, le personnel charmant et serviable. Tout ici aspire au repos, à la sérénité et au ressourcement, quant à l'offre de restauration elle est très correcte et le petit déjeuner à 20 euros mérite d'être testé au moins une fois, ne serait-ce que pour profiter de la beauté du grand patio dans lequel il est servi avec ses fontaines et points d'eau.
Point de détail gênant mais qui semble facile à améliorer : Le débit de la chasse d'eau de la chambre 52 est anormalement faible ce qui la rend inefficace au possible et constitue de plus un gaspillage inutile d'eau lorsque l'on s'évertue à la tirer à de multiples reprises... Et comme partout dans de nombreux hôtels espagnols, l'absence inexplicable de brosse de toilettes, certes peu esthétique, mais tellement pratique...

Reviewed Aug 15, 2026The Bar area was welcoming and able to have a light meal there. Breakfast was in an area of pools with running water and open to the sky except for fabric sunshades. An interesting town with a very old theatre in the main square.
Location of Hotel very difficult to find. Fortunately a very friendly Policeman took us there! The initial reception was not friendly faced by a sour looking man who did not speak to us but then left to find someone who did. Rooms were small with insufficient space to put things. Lack of wall sockets. Bathroom small. WiFi was problematic.

lors de notre arrivee il faisait 40 degres l interieur du batiment est bien rafraichi on nous a demande si nous souhaitions diner sur place au restaurant a 20h 45 on a dit OK lorsque nous nous sommes presentes nous pensions diner dans une salle climatisee La seule possibilite etait dans une cour interieure tres belle ou il faisait 36 degres Je trouve inadmissible pour un parador de ne pas proposer une salle de restaurant climatisee Il y en avait mais qui etaient fermees

Encuentro que en la piscina debería haber más parasoles, una parte quedaba sin resguardo del sol. Y un detalle del restaurante, que me sorprendió negativamente, fue que en la mesa para 2, al pedir un comensal el menú especial del festival de teatro, solo trajeran el aperitivo detalle de la casa para 1. Quedaba francamente mal y no tiene mucho sentido, la verdad. Yo he tenido restaurante y el ahorro de ese bocado/aperitivo no merece la pena en relación a la mala impresión que deja. Por lo demás el cordero del menú estaba delicioso.

Reviewed Jun 23, 2026Thoroughly recommended - from the amazing staff, to the rooms/bed/bedding, breakfast (also amazing), and all set in a historic building with some interesting design .. it oozes character and charm. You really do learn to relax and enjoy what it has to offer.
Pool wasn’t open each day until 11am .. so much for early morning swimming! Can live with that!

Reviewed Jun 16, 2026Thw Paradores of Spain are always pleasant. Almagro is in a beautiful smaller city and the accommodations were up the usual standards of the Parador system. We were particularly interested in "La Mancha" and Cervantes stories of Don Quixote. Almagro made for a perfect location to explore the region and sample the cuisine!
Nothing to really complain about. There re several enclosed garden areas, but the seating areas are limited in several of them. We enjoyed these beautiful areas, but would have liked a bit more seating. On the other hand, additional seating would attract more people and the areas would have been less tranquil. Tranquility or more places to sit? I think I'll take the tranquility!

Que aunque tenga q mantener la decoración adecuada para el edificio, hay q actualizarlo, está súper anticuado. Aunque haya q mantener azulejos, hay forma de darle un toque para q queden actualizada la habitación. Las sillas hay q retapizar, no pueden estar mas gastadas. Y por no hablar de los baños, reforma total por favor. Llegamos con ganas de ir a la piscina y no estaba todavía abierta. En mayo con el calor y si funcionar, nos decepcionó

Reviewed Jun 11, 2026Perfectly balanced, everything was right it this beautiful historical building. The room was fresh and ample, with a good shower and bath. The complete place was outstanding, the architecture, decoration, rooms and grounds absolutely beautiful, everywhere we went in the place there was something amazing to discover. Most importantly was the staff at all levels. The reception staff welcome was great, setting up the stay really. Helped us booking taxis, providing us with some extra requirements and always ready to help. The cleaning staff, efficient, kind and friendly. The pool staff just as great as the pool area. In general a highly recommended Parador.

Reviewed May 22, 2026Onze suite was super mooi. De Parador is werkelijk prachtig met al de binnenplaatsjes. De ligging in het stadje was heel leuk. Het authentieke Spanje was voelbaar.
Bij het ontbijt stonden we in de rij te wachten op een tafeltje. Dit hebben we de dag erna opgelost door het op de kamer te laten serveren.

Reviewed May 14, 2026Cleaning women were so warm and welcoming. A lovely lovely man at the desk gave me a toothbrush when I asked where I could buy one. He was the warmest. The place is beautiful and sparkling clean with each piece of furniture and artwork beautiful. I asked for extra blankets because it was cold and he sent it up immediately.
Bed was hard. Some of the staff at the desk in the morning were unhelpful when asked where to eat. And they were unhelpful when asked for help telephoning for us. A certain cold disinterested impersonal response from the women.
