The majority of the staff were really friendly & helpful. Fabulous location. Ample, free parking. Great swimming pool area. Lovely views from breakfast room. Very clean throughout.

Breakfast offering could have been better, and they seemed short staffed on our 1st morning, which meant they werent able to keep on top of replenishing things. Ordering at the poolside bar was by pushbutton, which wasnt clear & staff were slow to respond.

Facilities. Breakfast was well presented with numerous offerings. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, offering help with local sites.

Las instalaciones, la ubicación, la piscina, el personal del parador. Antequera es un pueblo bonito y agradable. Se aconseja visitar el Torcal. Los usuarios del parador son personas tranquilas que no alborotan.

Au calme avec proximité de la ville. La piscine. Le restaurant.

De kamer was ruim en schoon. In het restaurant kon je een goede maaltijd eten en als je minder luxe wilde eten, kon dat in de cafetaria. Er was een mooi zwembad en mooie uitzichten.

De medewerker aan de balie sprak gebrekkig Engels en je zou in een Parador anders verwachten. De rookplek was direct buiten de voordeur waardoor je altijd door de rook moest als je naar buiten ging. Was ook minder.

O Hotel está muito bem cuidado e os quartos eram grandes e espaçosos. As camas, individuais por indisponibilidade das de casal no momento da reserva, eram muito confortáveis e o quarto tinha vista para a piscina. A casa de banho era grande e equipada com tudo o que era necessário.

Excellent location easy to walk into old town and sights.

This is the second worst Parador I have stayed in. I would demolish it and start again. The car park has two charging points for electric vehicles, both were out of service. The public areas are a crazy mix, lots of half floors and big spaces with crazy uncomfortable furniture. There is only one room with a balcony, the Junior Suite. Inside our room all the woodwork was black, when you opened the wardrobe you couldn’t see anything. The rooms are not generously proportioned, two people could not occupy the same space. One night I woke to find that all the electricity was off, no lights and no charging for phones and watches etc. I went to reception and spoke to the night porter. He said there was at least one switch in the room that turned the electricity off. He came with me and identified the switch. I’ve never come across this in a hotel before and the switch was not labeled to say what it did. The bar/cafeteria near the swimming pool was a joke. I think the waiters were playing hide and seek with the guests. One night I asked for some olives with our aperitif. The waiter said they had none. I pointed out that they were in the middle of millions of olive trees and it was ridiculous that they had no olives. He gave us nuts AND crisps to assuage our disappointment then he turned up a few minutes later with some black olives he had obviously scrounged up from the kitchen. The management of this Parador need a boot up the backside, it’s failing in many ways which is a shame because I genuinely love Paradors but not when they are run like this.

Die Sauberkeit, das Reinigungspersonal war top , danke dafür! Lage des Hotels ist in einer ruhigen Lage.Küche hat eine sehr gutes Essen , weiter so!

Das Servierpersonal war überhaupt nicht motiviert, man musste ständig das Personal herbeirufen um etwas beim Frühstück zu bestellen. ( Ich habe selbst 20 Jahre in der Gastronomie gearbeitet)War auch bei anderen Gästen zu beobachten, dass sie immer den Servicepersonal rufen. Parador Hotels sind vom Staat finanziert, es ist mir schleierhaft, warum das Personal so ungeschult in einem 4* Haus ist. Naja es ist Verbesserungspotenzial vorhanden.

El día de salida, no se nos permitió hacer uso de la piscina. Reservada para los clientes entrantes. Que no accederían hasta las 14.00. Y el de entrada se nos hizo muy tarde.

Our experience was one of relaxation. Our room was comfortable and spacious, better than the photographs . We ate at the bar cafeteria for lunch and supper ,the menu was good and quality of food also good. The service was friendly ,overall a very good experience we would return of we were in the area and would highly recommend

Me gustó todo, empezando por el desayuno, las instalaciones, la ubicación, el personal.... fenomenal.

Nos sorprendió negativamente la manera de hablarnos de la responsable de sala en el desayuno....no pega en ese ambiente...y llamó la atención también a otra compañera...en tono poco apropiado

Fácil acesso, boa localização, limpeza, piscina impecável quarto confortável.

Pequeno almoço poderia ser melhor para uma qualificação de 4 estrelas.

Accomodation was first class, the majority of the reception sataf were helpful and friendly aswere the bar staff, however, tried to book evening meal in restaurant and it was fully booked on both nights, despite nobody turning up on one night for the first hour it was open. Also breakfast staff were surly and unhelpful.

Der Pool- und Gartenbereich ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Besonders praktisch ist, dass der Parkplatz inklusive ist und sich direkt vor dem Hotel befindet — es waren jederzeit ausreichend Plätze verfügbar. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr gut: Nur wenige Gehminuten trennen das Hotel vom Zentrum. Im Zimmer war der Schlafbereich sauber, ordentlich und gut ausgestattet. Das Badezimmer hatte jedoch einige Mängel. Der Wasserdruck der Toilette war unzureichend, und die Fugen im Bereich der Badewanne sollten erneuert werden. Insgesamt ein angenehmer Aufenthalt mit kleineren Schwächen im Bad.

There is one minor thing I would change is the bar area. The outside bar area is perfect but the inside bar is too corporate and very bright in there and could do with looking more comfortable.

This was a trial run of staying away from home since my husband needed to transport breathing equipment and a mobility scooter so I approached it with some trepidation. This Parador was a revelation. Staff were super helpful and friendly; the building was carefully designed to be super accessible without detracting from the design and our accessible bedroom felt no different from a normal well-appointed Parador bedroom. We would previously have chosen a more traditional Parador but felt this would be more likely to meet our needs now. Having previously been unimpressed by a couple of ‘modern’ Paradors this was a well-designed joy with excellent facilities, great food and pleasant poolside terrace bar with stunning views. To be balanced I better note a couple of things: my husband would have liked a more cosy bar area ( a personal quirk) and while the town centre is an easy walk away, users of mobility aids should be aware that not all pavements which start with a ramp end with a ramp! A huge shout out and thank you to the staff who were outstanding.

Het was een mooi hotel met ruime kamers en een zwembad waar je na een warme dag heerlijk kon vertoeven. Het uitzicht was mooi. Vanuit het hotel liep je binnen 10 minuten het centrum in. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en het ontbijt was prima.

Het was een oase om te zijn, zeker na een paar dagen in de stad geweest te zijn. Het ligt uitstekend tov het centrum. De kamers zijn heel ruim en liggen om de tuin met zwembad. Heerlijke bedden, lekker ontbijt, smaakvol en rustig ingericht.

Alles was helemaal fijn

We have hotels like this in UK with names like Premier Inn or Travelodge where our expectations are relatively low before we go through the door but here in Antequerra the comparable level of service comes as quite a disappointment. The restaurant food and service is fine, even surprisingly good for a paradore, but the rest of it is pretty dire. Lovely summer evening when we arrived but the garden bar remained firmly closed and alternatively drinks were offered occasionally by a largely invisible barman who managed to serve us in a sort of open sided windowless lounge reminiscent of our local doctor’s waiting room. Paradore in name certainly but that’s as far as it goes.

Estuve 3 dias, para mi boda. Me arreglé allí. El personal, Encarni sobre todo y Agostina son un encanto. La cama comodisima, instalaciones de 10. Todo perfecto.

Mas variedad en el desayuno. Es algo basico.

Ontbijt viel tegen. Werd niet uitgelegd dat je een warme maaltijd kon bestellen en het buffet had weinig keuze mogelijkheden.

Die Lage ist wirklich schön, sehr ruhig. Auch die Nähe zu Antequera ist sehr vorteilhaft...

Wenn man andere Paradores kennt, fällt es einem schwer, sich hier wohlzufühlen. Dieses Parador hat den Charme eines Messezentrums, kühl, unpersönlich, steril, kein Charme. Dazu kommt, dass auch das Personal alles andere als freundlich ist (fehlende Schulung?). Dieses Parador atmet nicht den "Spirit", das man von einem Parador und einem 4-Sterne-Haus erwarten darf. Auch das Frühstück ist absolut nicht auf dem Niveau eines 4-Sterne-Hauses, viel Verpacktes, Aufbackware... usw. Wir haben vorzeitig das Hotel verlassen und was anderes gesucht, weil es uns sonst die Urlaubslaune verdorben hätte..

Our room was small for modern hotel. We were actively discouraged from using breakfast room at a time convenient to us because coach tour groups given priority.

L emplacement de l'hôtel surplombant la vallée est magnifique. La chambre était spacieuse.

Une chambre avec 2 lits simples au lieu d un lit double comme demandé. Donc pas bien dormi. Lorsque l'on vient en couple et que l on paie une nuit a plus de 100€ on s attends a avoir un lit double ce qui paraît juste normal.

Modern, clean, location.

We arrived early and were fortunate enough to be able to check in. The hotel and room furnishings were more modern than most Paradors we’ve stayed at. The building shows its age, but appears well maintained. Parking at this Parador was free and it had EV charging points. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was fairly standard. While some Paradors provide complimentary bottles of water in the rooms, this one didn’t. However, having a safe in a room that isn’t affixed to anything, defeats the purpose of having a safe. A thief would just walk off with it. In the bathroom the commode area was somewhat separated from the sink and shower area which was nice, but I’m not a big fan of frosted glass bathroom walls. The mattress was firmer than my wife prefers, but that’s no fault of the hotel. Walking to the center of the town was pleasant and fairly level.

The setting was incredible. The hotel was of very high standard

The poolside seating area was very disappointing and affected our stay in a negative way. The seating was dirty, 4 tables had food and drinks left on them from our arrival at 3pm until 10.30am the following day. There was no service to this area. The bar and snack indoor area where you had to order was 2 flights of stairs down. Help to carry drinks down was refused…very politely but still refused. A tray was requested and a flimsy tray suitable for carrying napkins and a bowl of olives was offered. V disappointing. Upon our departure I highlighted this to the manager who was very apologetic.

Was a little disappointed when we arrived to find that the pool wasn’t open, apparently it doesn’t open until mid May. We did sit out though in the hotels ground until our room was ready. The room was large, spotless and very comfortable, absolutely no complaints. It took us 10 minutes to walk into town where we had a lovely meal and drinks. Breakfast was ok, a buffet and a couple of choice if you want something cooked. Would stay again 😀
