Wonderful hotel. The staff were helpful and accommodating to all our needs. Would highly recommend.

Loved the outside covered patio for breakfast and drinks. Such a classic, clean, and elegant accommodation, but very cozy with lots of greenery. Breakfast included hot dishes along with a buffet. The breakfast and cleaning staff were wonderful. Marissa at the front desk was exceptional! Very professional and always with a smile on her face. We loved our stay here.

Отдельное спасибо Марисе Лукас. Эта чудесная девушка забронировала для нас прекрасный ресторан. Мы очень благодарны за заботу и внимание. Кровати, подушки и завтраки соответствуют хорошему отелю 4 звезды. Мы обязательно вернемся.

It’s a simple breakfast but often eaten outdoors rather than in the breakfast room. Staff if very helpful. There is food made to order at midday and later. At breakfast, you can order eggs and pancakes if you want more than the buffet. It’s not the Ritz, but it’s very nice, great location, excellent staff, nice rooms and great value.

I would dress up the breakfast buffet a bit.

Gute Innenstadtlage (10-15 min zu Fuß zur Kathedrale). Sehr freundliches Personal. Tolles Frühstück mit sehr leckeren Pancakes und regionalen selbstgebackenen Kuchen. Stilvolle Einrichtung. Parkmöglichkeit in Tiefgarage zu fairem Preis.

Bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, chic der 80er / 90er Jahre, wenn man es mag, kein Negativpunkt. Relativ teuer.

Tutto lo staff è stato estremamente disponibile e accogliente fin da subito, permettendoci di lasciare le valigie prima del check-in e portandole direttamente in camera in nostra assenza. Ci hanno dato tutte le informazioni necessarie per visitare i monumenti principali di Évora e suggerimenti molto apprezzati su dove mangiare. La stanza era pulita, la struttura in generale davvero ben arredata e tipica della zona. Come posizione, comoda per il centro anche a piedi e anche per entrare in macchina (hanno un parcheggio privato con il costo di 10 euro al giorno). Colazione buona, anche se migliorabile nella varietà.

Essendo il locale storico, non è perfettamente insonorizzato e abbiamo sentito clienti vicini alla nostra camera a mezzanotte muoversi e spostare valigie.

Todo estaba muy limpio, el desayuno muy completo. Todo y que las ventanas no aíslan del ruido tuvimos suerte y no hubo mucho tránsito en la calle.

Considero un abuso el importe por dejar dormir a mi perra en la habitación. Cobran 25 euros por día. sin tener ningún tipo de atención hacia ellos como podrían ser unas chuches, una cama, un bebedero, etc…

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen, wenn man mit dem Auto anreist. Es hat eine eigene Tiefgarage und es müssen keine engen Gassen durchquert werden. Unser Zimmer war sehr grosszügig. Der Mitarbeiter am Empfang war sehr freundlich.

Insgesamt ist das Hotel schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wenn es auch sehr gut unterhalten wird.

Llegamos al hotel y la chica de recepción, nos explicó todo con detalle, la habitación era tal como la pedí. Nos acompaño , el aire acondicionado estaba puesto . Es muy bonito por dentro, tiene todo tipo de detalles, salones para leer, jugar con mucha variedad de juegos de mesa y libros . En la habitación tenían una cafetera con todo lo necesario para poder tomar el café , botella de agua fresca . El personal era super amable y estaban siempre pendientes de poder ayudarte y ofrecerte todo. No cabe dudas , volvemos.

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I traveled to Evora for 1 night. What a great experience here! When we checked in, we were greeted with a lot of information, map, directions and help. When we made plans we thought we would be able to stay a little longer, but train schedules made us leave around 6:30am. I assumed we would just need to get something at the train station, but no! They were able to help and accommodate us with an early breakfast. They had such a nice breakfast ready at 6:15am. Completely unexpected! Also helped to arrange a taxi for us back to the train station. The room was fantastic. Comfortable, clean, cozy. Coffee maker and fridge in the room to help as well. Their courtyard was beautiful. The whole place was just so nice. I was sad we only had one night here. Hands down just a fantastic experience here. You won’t be disappointed!

the service was wonderful and personal. they went out of their way for us multiple times. the room was lovely and comfortable. the buffet breakfast could be better but it certainly wasn't bad. I highly recommend this stay.

A wonderful hotel within the old city walls. A bit of a walk from the main town square, but very quiet and has lots of little shops with water and general emenities in the area. The staff were very friendly and lovely. Breakfast was great - everything you need and eggs the way you want them. Gluten-free options available upon request. The room was comfy, the shower was great. AC was working well. A mini fridge.

Everything was great! Maybe a kettle in the room for tea or coffee, but just a suggestion.

We had a lovely one night stay at this hotel, and wish we could have stayed longer! The setting was spectacular and so convenient within the old city walls. We were a family of four traveling and needed two rooms, so the staff were so accommodating to ensure the two rooms were close to one another. A great gem, highly recommend a stay!

Great location just inside the old walls. There is parking for a $10.00 fee. We chose to have breakfast there also and it was lovely. Either inside or on the patio. Staff is very helpful. Bed was comfy. Place is a. It dated but inviting and good value.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, wo Historie (eine alte Ölmühle) und Moderne wunderbar verschmelzen. Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang mit vielen Infos zum Ort, Vorschlägen und Tipps. Absolut empfehlenswert!!! Falls jemand zum Fado möchte oder traditionell nach der Art des Alentejo essen möchte, empfehlen wir Bota Alta, ein urigen Restaurant, wo die Chefin sehr schmackhafte Gerichte auf den Tisch bringt, selbst singt und man sich sofort zugehörig fühlt.

Gar nichts! Es war super!!!! - Tiefgarage erfordert allerdings etwas Geschick.

Friendly staff and spacious suites. They allow dogs which was a great option for our family.

We verbleven hier twee nachten en kregen een gratis upgrade naar een suite. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en voelden ons meteen welkom. De suite was zeer netjes, met een ruime badkamer met bad/douchecombinatie en zachte handdoeken. We hebben goed geslapen in het grote, comfortabele bed. Het hotel ligt rustig net binnen de oude stadsmuren en op wandelafstand van het centrum. Het ontbijt is niet heel uitgebreid, maar alles is vers en eitjes en pancakes worden op verzoek bereid. De huisgemaakte sinaasappelcake is absoluut een aanrader! Er is een ondergrondse parking met kleine plekjes, zodat je geen parkeerplaats in de straten hoeft te zoeken. Een aanrader voor wie de combinatie van charme, authenticiteit, comfort en gastvrijheid zoekt!

Het enige kleine minpuntje vonden we het fruitsap. We hebben geen bezwaar tegen fruitsap uit een machine of uit een karton, maar deze smaakte erg waterig. Een fruitsap van iets betere kwaliteit zou het verder uitstekende ontbijt helemaal afmaken.

Albergaria do Calvário is a beautiful and atmospheric hotel set in a charming historic building. The interior is spacious, the breakfast is very good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is excellent, with everything reachable within a 15-minute walk. We really enjoyed our stay and were very satisfied. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so pleasant. The only small downside is that when leaving through the gate, you need to turn left, where there is a large vase that could be accidentally hit by the car. This caused a little tension, but apart from that, everything was absolutely perfect.

This is a quaint hotel, more like an historic inn. The common areas are very pleasant. It is within the city walls but has a parking garage below the hotel (an extra to euors). The staff are very helpful.

Charming ambiance. Service was top-notch, esp. when we asked for food and drinks late in the afternoon. Also breakfast was great. At check-in, the man at reception gave us a very useful, quick orientation for walking around the city. The young woman who served our late lunch gave us a fine suggestion for a dinner spot. The rooms were small, as so many European rooms are, but it was comfortable, with everything we needed.

O que gostei menos foi o pequeno-almoço. Tendo em conta que estávamos no Alentejo, esperava uma maior valorização dos produtos regionais e uma oferta mais diferenciada; acabou por ser bastante básico. Além disso, os funcionários nem sempre se mostraram muito simpáticos e acolhedores. Por fim, os quartos são um pouco pequenos, o que pode tornar a estadia menos confortável.

Good location for walking to sites and restaurants within the walled section of Evora. Great value, clean and comfortable rooms with A/C, and attentive staff. Pension atmosphere. External noise level low, moderate within the tiled hallways. Breakfast offerings were excellent with plenty of seating space for guests.

This hotel was amazing on all accounts. The attention from the staff was second to none; always available to provide whatever you needed. The rooms were comfortable, the property was pristine and the location was a perfect base for exploring the city of Evora. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! I loved the decor with its blend of carefully selected antiques and modern pieces, as well as the showcasing of Alentejo crafts. The beds were comfy, the bathrooms are beautiful (shout out to actual walls and sturdy doors!), the staff is helpful, and the breakfasts are delicious.

One of our favourite accommodations on our trip through Portugal, this small hotel is historic and charming. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere. You could order drinks or food (which was delicious - try the warm cheese and local bread) and have it delivered in one of the inviting common areas on the main level, or out on the lovely patio. The hotel is located within the ancient city walls of Evora so there are no views to speak of. But a great location, easily walkable everywhere around the town. Parking is limited so book early. We had to park on the street which the hotel still charges for because I guess it’s reserved exclusively for their use. The included breakfast was one of the best we experienced - lots of variety and everything was delicious. We would highly recommend Albergaria do Calvario.
