Undoubtedly the best place to stay in Kanchipuram, (my 3rd stay) don’t follow Google Maps U Turn, there is a right cut to the hotel if you are coming from other side,, some traffic chaos as this is also one of the busiest Saree abd Silk Street. V sustainable hotel, hardly any use of plastic, amazingly designed glass bottles for water. V good culturally rich ambience with local TN folk art depicted all across the hotel and in the room. Dakshin restaurant experience was v good, WiFi connectivity v good, v good easy step to log in, zero friction

only issue we faced was unstable third wheel based bed, there is no stopper. Health faucet no placed conveniently,

Front desk team was superb and very welcoming. The kitchen team was good, but they could be a little more friendly and smile more. Most importantly, the breakfast could be improved. Puttu is my favourite, but unfortunately it was too dry and difficult to eat. I hope the hotel can improve the quality and presentation of the breakfast. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Excellent location-convenient to Saree shopping. Fantastic hospitality by Mr. Lee and team. They went above and beyond the call of duty. Food was excellent. Definitely approve GRT Regency for your accommodation while in Kanchipuram.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect — situated near the shopping area and within easy walking distance to many attractions. The atmosphere throughout the property was welcoming and pleasant, making it a relaxing place to unwind. The room exceeded expectations: it was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Service was consistently excellent, with staff attentive and professional at every interaction. But Keeping veg and Non veg side by side is not preferred. Like Thirutthani it should have been kept in different rooms. One lift for luggage and inmates is felt difficult. Many times you have to wait for lift. . Otherewise everything is ok.

I had a highly pleasant and comfortable stay at GRT Regency Kanchipuram from May 22nd to 25th, 2026. All the service personnel and managerial staff were incredibly caring, courteous and dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction.

While the location was great and centrally located with the temple and most shops close by, the price charged per night is WAY too high for this class of property! We paid almost ₹7000 per night, and the rooms were DEFINITELY NOT up to GRT standards: looks like they have taken over a local property, and maybe just done up the bathrooms. The bedrooms were very dated, and one of our rooms had a bad smell, like sewage. The bathrooms as mentioned seemed updated and decent. Overall, definitely not up to GRT standards for those going by brand name alone, and WAY too overpriced for the quality being offered! A fair price for this quality of rooms should be ₹5000 at the most.

A great place to stay in Kanchipuram. All the major temples are close by, which makes it very convenient for darshan. Car parking is available — a big plus in this area. The staff are friendly, and the food is decent. The deluxe room is spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of three, including a child. Overall, a pleasant and hassle‑free stay.

We have stayed at GRT Regency Kanchipuram so many times over the years that we have honestly lost count — certainly well over 10 stays. That is precisely why this experience was so deeply disappointing and hurtful. During our recent stay, we ordered four juices through in-room dining after returning from the summer heat, expecting something refreshing. The order arrived very late, and despite specifically requesting only one juice at room temperature, all four were served that way. The juices themselves were bland, warm, and of very poor quality. What hurt even more was the complete lack of concern after we reported the issue. No apology, no follow-up, and no attempt whatsoever to address the complaint. The prices now being charged for both the stay and the food are simply unreasonable for the quality and service being offered. Premium pricing can only be justified by premium hospitality — sadly, that standard seems to have been lost here. As long-time patrons of this property, this experience genuinely saddened us. This is not the GRT Regency Kanchipuram we once knew and appreciated.

The service of staff especially Dilliganesh at the reception was incredible. They were so hospitable and went out of their way to assist senior citizens like us. The breakfast and the complementary coffee was much appreciated.

The entrance is a bit narrow and hence if one car enters, one cannot get out. Autodrivers are hence reluctant to take their auto in.

In the city with easy access to shops Arrival was pleasant with a serving of much appreciated tea at the lobby.Rooms /bathroom clean. Breakfast was good and staff were extremely professional and pleasant making it a warm and welcoming experience. Vasantha Bhavan is closeby and was a good dining experience too.Sadly stayed only one night. Would stay again if visiting Kanchipuram.

The staff is really good and the facilities which are offered are really good, hi tea and breakfast was really impressive.

The smoking smell was coming from your bathroom duct in the evening and it was a bit uncomfortable for girls to use the bathroom, it lasts till 10pm.

Nice clean hotel with a spacious room. Good value for money. The buffet breakfast was very nice. The wi fi in the room was suboptimal and basically did not work. That was the only drawback of this accomodation. The staff were helpful in assisting with autorickshaw drivers and taxis. This was appreciated.

This was my third stay at Regency and it only gets better each time. This time we travelled with Kafka, our pet. The staff were very helpful with our specific needs and he was so calm. Fejt like he didn't want to leave Regency....

Rooms were quite basic

Location is very good and very close to main temples of kanchipuram and prime shopping areas. However restaurants menus are limited for vegetarian visitors.

Breakfast was good. Divine package was excellent. Had a good darshan of Goddess. Ramamoorthy who accompanied us for the temple visit was patient and helped us with the navigation etc. Overall it was smooth.

Room size was small. I expected the bed to be bigger (king size) to accommodate 3 adults. Alternatively, they could have put two queen beds that can accommodate 4 adults. Instead they had two beds (twin size) and they added another foldable cot/bed for the third adult. It was not as comfy as the other two. Since room size was small, it was a little challenging to navigate. However, since we stayed only for a night, we were ok.

This is my first time stay at GRT Kanchipuram and I was very impressed with the service standards of one and all to start with the Attendant, who helped with parking my vehicle and the Lady Receptionist (the first two touch points). Since I was driving from Chennai I started at 6.30 am and reached the hotel by 8.30 am and she was kind enough to check me in immediately and with an extremely pleasant attitude , which is not usual even in the branded Five Star hotels most of the time. My stay was totally focused on visiting the three main temples and all the three of them are in the close vicinity of the hotel and that was a huge blessing. Mr Rajendran of the hotel along with one of his colleagues personally came with me Kanchi Kamakshi Amman temple and facilitated my serene and beautiful Darshan. The room was small but cosy and the linen and the towels were crisp and clean and would beat some of the Five Star Hotels and to provide this in a comparatively small city, this was wonderful indeed. The food in their one and only restaurant was good enough and the service was outstanding. A big thank you to all the staff there and especially to Rajendran and the Lady receptionist. My two days stay at this hotel was wonderful and looking forward to visiting GRT again soon

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Regency Kanchipuram by GRT Group from 28th February to 2nd March in Room No. 306. Our stay was truly pleasant and comfortable. The hotel is neat, clean, and well-maintained, offering all essential amenities. The room was well arranged and equipped with all the necessary facilities. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Mr. Satyam at the reception, who ensured a smooth and hassle-free check-in. During check-out, Ms. Hemlata assisted us efficiently. We had the opportunity to interact with both Satyam and Hemlata during our stay, and we found them to be sincere, courteous, and very helpful. The hotel features a good restaurant and a cozy bar. We enjoyed the breakfast on both days; however, we feel there is scope to expand the breakfast menu, as the variety was somewhat limited. On the first evening, we had the buffet dinner at the restaurant. While the food was good, the space felt slightly crowded due to limited seating, and the buffet options were also limited. On the following evening, we opted for room service and found both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes to be very tasty and well prepared. We would also like to appreciate Nitya from the restaurant, who is a dedicated, attentive, and efficient staff member. She was helpful, quick, and very sincere in her service. Overall, we found the entire hotel staff to be courteous and kind. Our stay at Hotel Regency was comfortable and enjoyable. A local friend had mentioned that Hotel Regency is the best hotel in this holy town, and after our experience, we can certainly understand why.
