The noise of traffic 24 hours. Quality of window is not good enough to isolate sounds.

The rooms were spacious, staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good.

The breakfast was not as expected. Items were cold, hygiene was not good (tables were being cleaned with a dirty cloth), cutlery not clean. This was experienced on our first day and we never went back to eat on our 5 days visit.

Wir hatten ein komfortables und sauberes Zimmer im 15. Stock mit Kingsize Bett, wobei das Zimmer größer war als der Durchschnitt für diese Zimmerkategorie. Für uns als kleine Familie mit Baby war die Größe perfekt! Man hat uns sogar extra ein Babybett ins Zimmer gebracht, obwohl wir es nicht explizit angegeben haben. Das war sehr aufmerksam! Das Frühstücksbuffet war lecker und reichhaltig; es gab sowohl chinesisches als auch europäisches Essen. Das Personal war freundlich.

Отличное месторасположение, завтрак просто отпад, культ еды в Азии это очень вкусно:) Гостиница постройки начала 2000х, но в номерах чисто и по своему олд скульный шик. Хотя местами ремонт нужен, ковры в номерах фу, но раньше это был топ ведь:)). В любом случае только положительные впечатления от гостиницы. Персонал молодцы, встретили ночью и оформили быстро. Спасибо! Если перейти дорогу под мостом и прогуляться на лево по жилому району с застройкой в стиле МКАД, можно выйти на классное кафе для местных. Чуть не лопнули всей семьёй на обеде у тётушки:))

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem Wohnviertel, entfernt von Touristenfalle, sehr angenehm. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben am Abreisetag unsere Tasche mit dem Geld nicht finden können. Ich habe mich bei der Rezeption gemeldet, der Manager Herr Yan Chen( Corey), hat sofort darauf reagiert und versuchte uns zu helfen durch Kartenlesen. Zum Glück lag die Tasche in einem unseren Rucksäcken drinnen. Wir sind so dankbar, dass Corey so professionell und hilfsbereit gehandelt hat und mit Herzen und helfen wollen. Vielen Dank! Immer wieder buchen wir dieses Hotel, wenn wir in Peking unterwegs sind.

Convenient location close to many main attractions, receptionist Lucy was super friendly, overall very comfortable stay!

酒店工作人员友好，附近有公交站、超市、餐厅，有一家平价快餐店可提供早中晚餐，很方便。

离地铁站较远，房间通风不太好，洗手池下水道有点堵，管道略有漏水。

Hotel vecchio, probabilmente in voga negli anni 90, ma è rimasto a quell epoca. La nostra stanza con due letti matrimoniali, quando siamo entrati ci ha fatto fare un tuffo nel passato. A parte la vetusta degli arredi e delle finiture, la stanza si presentava poco fresca e con un odore che non siamo riusciti a capire se provenisse dalla aria condizionata o dalla moquette. In ogni caso la pulizia della stanza lasciava parecchio a desiderare per via di macchie e peli/capelli su tutta la moquette. Nella doccia l'acqua defluiva lentamente, quindi per evitare di allagare tutta la stanza bisognava lavarsi in rapidità. Solo dopo due giorni di reclami è stata pulita meglio la stanza e la doccia dai residui presenti nello scarico. Colazione nella norma, tendente più a quella cinese che a quella continentale. Finestre vecchie e non insonorizzate, la. Nostra stanza al 6 piano si sentiva continuamente il brusio del traffico. È vi assicuro che è veramente intenso e costante. Lavanderia a pagamento con prezzi da costa smeralda. A 300m dall hotel c'è una lavanderia che ci ha fatto spendere meno della metà. Con tutte le offerte presenti in Cina questa è stata la peggiore e anche la più cara. Siamo stati in strutture più quotate, pagando meno ma con una qualità eccellente. Le lavanderie degli altri hotel offrivano un servizio self service gratuito oltre a quello a pagamento.

The hotel is comfortable, with the familiar Western standard of service. The room was comfortable, bright and spacious, with a nice bed and a beautiful view from the window (high floor). The room has everything you need, even shaving kits and combs. Breakfast offers a wide selection of dishes, with both European and Chinese cuisine available. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the metro if you're walking. On the plus side, you can use metro stations on several different lines. There are also buses running nearby.

The elevator requires you to tap your room key card, and it only takes you to your own floor or the ground floor — all other floors are blocked. Because of this, it was inconvenient to meet up with friends who were staying at the same hotel but on different floors.

The breakfast and location.

It did not smell clean upon entering. The lobby felt chaotic. And it was so much dust build up behind the lobby counter.

Wokół mało atrakcji. Wszędzie trzeba zamawiać taksówki lub iść kawał drogi do metra. Do centrum metrem przynajmniej godzina metrem z przesiadką.

Great staff and facilities. I liked that they provide an additional service of taking care of your luggage at the hotel while you visit other areas even if your stay with them has been finalized.

I stayed here during a robotics competition in Beijing, and the staff turned a hotel stay into one of the best parts of my trip. They helped me order food every day and translated for me without me ever having to ask twice. They pointed me to the best places to visit and showed me the cheapest ways to get food and drinks — small things that make a huge difference when you're in a country for the first time. When I came back with my medal, they celebrated with me like they'd been part of the team. They even shared a Gatorade with me, and one of them gave me a Batman figure as a gift — I still have it. Special thanks to Solid at the front desk, I genuinely won't forget him. The view from the room was beautiful too, and everything was clean and comfortable. But it's the people here who make this place worth booking

之所以很好，是因为只要你出门，任何时候，无论一天几次，他们都愿意来为你打扫房间，整理干净。还为你叠衣服。不但如此，还来问你需要不需要洗衣服。我觉得也没有什么酒店有这样的服务了吧？

Great service! Friendly staff! We ordered room service and the food was excellent! So convenient when you feel so tired to eat out. House keeper was very considerable she brought my husband a mouse mat when she saw him using his laptop.

I would love it located near subway stations or have a better public transportation. However for us who were just short stayers, it was okay. The customers service department is very friendly and helpful to book a taxi or Didi based on our needs. I would love the facilities to be upgraded a bit to catch up with the modern technology such as better toilets, curtains, and lighting systems. Yet we enjoy our stay, everything works perfectly fine for us.

Holiday Inn Deshengmen by IHG – Review from a Muslim Traveller I stayed at Holiday Inn Deshengmen by IHG for one week, and overall, it was a comfortable experience with staff who genuinely tried to accommodate my needs. As a Muslim traveller, there were a few challenges, but also several positives worth mentioning. 🌟 What I Liked Staff willingness to accommodate dietary needs Although the hotel’s dinner options were extremely limited for Muslims and vegetarians, the staff went out of their way to help once I explained my dietary restrictions. They prepared customised meals for me—such as a cheese and tomato pizza—despite these items not being part of the standard half‑board offering. Their effort was truly appreciated. Helpful security staff On our first night, when we realised there were no vegetarian options available, the security guard stepped in and helped us order halal food through Meituan. He spoke more English than the front desk staff and made the process much easier. It’s important to note that using food delivery apps in China requires a Chinese phone number and Alipay/WeChat set up. Clean and well-maintained rooms Housekeeping was excellent. The room was cleaned daily to a very high standard, and fresh bottled water was provided each day. Despite the housekeeping team knowing little to no English, their work was consistently thorough. Convenient location I chose this hotel because it was close to Beijing Normal University East Gate—about a 15–20 minute walk. There’s also a pharmacy and fruit shop within a 2–4 minute walk. I had read in other reviews that the metro station was around a 20–25 minute walk, so I knew what to expect and found the location manageable.

⚠️ What Wasn’t as Good Limited food options for Muslims The breakfast spread was decent, with toast, pastries, cereals, beans, sausages, bacon, fruit juice, and a Chinese breakfast selection. However, as a Muslim traveller, I could only eat the bread, cereals, yogurt, beans, and pastries. For dinner, the situation was more difficult. There were only two vegetarian items on the menu—the Caesar salad (which required removing bacon) and the cream and mushroom soup. For anyone with halal or vegetarian requirements, the options are extremely limited. Language barriers The staff were polite and tried their best, but most had very basic English skills. We relied heavily on translation apps throughout the stay, especially when speaking to housekeeping or the dining hall staff. This wasn’t a major issue, but travellers should be prepared for it. ⭐ Overall Impression Despite the challenges with food and language, the staff consistently tried to accommodate my needs, and their willingness made a big difference. The hotel is clean, safe, and located conveniently for anyone visiting Beijing Normal University. If you are a Muslim traveller, just be aware of the limited halal/vegetarian food options and plan accordingly—either through delivery apps or by communicating clearly with the dining staff.

Duże i czyste pokoje. Bardzo bogaty bufet śniadaniowy zarówno kuchnia chińska i europejska. Pomocna i uprzejma obsługa. Przystanek autobusowy przy hotelu. Do metra 15 minut spaceru.

Отличная уборка номеров, в номере есть абсолютно все, что нужно, включая холодильник, чайник, сейф, гладильные принадлежности (хотя он и достаточно старый). Завтрак хороший и разнообразный, китайская и европейская кухня. Тренажерный зал маленький, но эргономичный.

Редко кто из персонала говорит по-английски. В наше бронирование входил ужин, нигде не было указано, что он только на двоих (мы были с 2 детьми), в итоге вопрос, правда, частично решили. Температура в сауне менньше, чем на улице в июле). Жаль, не было бассейна.

Čini se da kineski hoteli generalno imaju problem sa rezervacijama na bookingu. Nude smeštaj za četiri osobe, da bi se zatim ispostavilo da nude smeštaj za dve osobe. U ovom hotelu smo unapred rezervisali i platili smeštaj za četiri osobe i platili unapred preko Bookinga, Kada smo došli osoblje nam je tražilo da doplatimo, iz nejasnih razloga.

The hotel was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The location was convenient for sightseeing, although the nearest metro station was quite a walk away.

We booked the room through booking.com for two adults and two teenage children, expecting comfortable accommodation for our family. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room with two 1.35 m wide beds, which were clearly too small for two people to sleep comfortably in each bed. We were offered a room upgrade, but the additional cost was quite high, so we decided to stay in the original room and accept the discomfort. This was disappointing and did not match the expectations created by the booking for four guests.

Все прекрасно, спасибо большое. Приехали утром,нам предложили другой номер,помыться и отдохнуть,а после переехать в наш,точно такой же,но выше этажом. Через три дня мы продлили проживание. Завтраки прекрасные,есть европейские. Все замечательно, спасибо большое за наш отдых .

Bardzo dobre śniadania. Bardzo czysto - zarówno w pokojach, jak i na korytarzach.

Śniadania są dodatkowo płatne - ale nie to jest problemem. Rezerwując Booking pokazał, że mam śniadanie i kropka. Natomiast na miejscu obsługa powiedziała, że to tylko za jedną osobę, a pozostali muszą zapłacić (wiem, że takie są standardy w Chinach - ale w zamówieniu tak nie było wskazane). Obsługa natomiast wywiązała się doskonale z zadania i nie obciążyli nas dodatkową opłatą - tylko powiedzieli, że wyjaśnią to już z Booking. Łóżka szerokości 140 cm - na dwie osoby to trochę małe. Fakt, że do metra jest spory kawałek, żeby dojść. Ale autobus jest za raz przy hotelu - linia nr 5 załatwia prawie wszystkie potrzeby dojazdu do miejsc turystycznych.

Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, excellent gym, good buffet breakfast offering both western and chinese food.

Metro is a bit far a way, but you could easily get a Didi to take you there or anywhere else in the city.

Such a disappointment. When we first arrived when spent 45 minutes to check in. Then we entered a smoke layered room. From the curtains to the ancient carpets. I spoke to night manager and he offer was to spray air fresher and change the room in the morning l. This never happened. This is really pathetic and to think this was one of the great hotel chains. At least in South Africa they still are decent

I like the dusty carpets and skirting boards I like the floppy head board. I like how disgusting they all.

Friendly staff, they left me a cake and balloons for my birthday! The beds were very comfortable and the room came with everything we needed for our stay in Beijing.

Отличный отель, чистые номера, уборка каждый день. Завтрак однообразный но поесть всегда найдете что то для себя. Детям сложнее в этом плане. Отзывчивый персонал. Случилась проблема с оплатой. Менеджер помог разобраться, потратил со мной несколько часов, звонил и в банк и компанию чей терминал. В итоге деньги вернулись. Спасибо.

Добавить европейской кухни на завтрак. И научить повара готовить пасту, брали как то с доставкой в номер, есть не возможно, очень сильно пересолено.

Bathrooms and washbasins were not cleaned regularly. Only two Towels were kept every day though 4 guests and need to request every time.

We stayed at Holiday Inn Beijing Deshengmen by IHG with two children from May 21 to May 24, 2026. The last night completely ruined our impression of the hotel. At 5:00 AM, loud renovation work started — constant hammering and construction noise continued for about 1.5 hours. It was impossible to sleep. We were traveling with children and had a long flight ahead, but got absolutely no rest. For a hotel of this level, starting ремонт works at 5 AM is completely unacceptable and shows total disrespect for guests. The management clearly knew about the construction in advance, yet still placed guests next to the noise. One of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We definitely do not recommend this hotel.

Хороший отель, приветливый персонал, заселили раньше времени, детям дали сладостей) Номер чистый, постоянно меняли белые полотенца, уютные халаты и постельное, уборка была каждый день, если не ставить «не беспокоить». Каждый день приносили воду. Розетки подходили и под европейские вилки. Завтраки в отеле не брали, но пару раз на обед покупали комбо сэты с разнообразной едой по выгодной цене. Вокруг отеля много кафе, в основном с китайской кухней, но есть и KFC и чуть подальше Subway. В 15 минутах ходьбы нашли супермаркет, постоянно покупали там ягоды, фрукты и другую еду. На метро ездили только 2 раза, не очень близко. На такси можно добраться до любого места, несильно дорого.

Интерьер немного устаревший, в санузел было 2 неудобные двери, которые не закрывались на замок. Очень грязные окна, понимаю что здание высокое и мыть окна неудобно, но думаю можно найти решение) Столовых, приборов и тарелок не было, попросили на ресепшен нож и вилки - принесли.

The hotel team is really friendly, Jason went out of his way to help accommodate our needs. Our room was big and beds were comfortable. We loved breakfast, which offered so many options, not only of local foods but also a traditional continental selection ( fruits, pastries, bread, eggs (fried, scrambled eggs, omelette- all to order) for those missing a western breakfast.

Нам важно была локация, мы искали отель на несколько часов чтоб отдохнуть между переездами. Пешком прошлись по району и дошли до сада с тремя озёрами, там очень очень красиво.

Были на отдыхе в начале мая . Приехали в отель в 03,00 часа ночи, денег заранее не поменяли и надо отдвть должное персоналу отеля который пошел нам на встречу и заселил нас. Также хотелось бы сказвть огропное спасибо менеджеру по обслуживанию в отеле Винсенту, за его чуткое, и грсмнотное отношение к гостям. Винсент очень помог в бронировании экскурсий также помогал нам в благоустпойстве в отеле, очень отзывчатый и небкзоазличный молодой человек. Что касаетчя отеля хорошая европейская четверка , бронируйте не пожалеете

Отель известной американской сети. Придерживаются стандартов качества. Неплохие завтраки. Хорошая уборка номеров. До центра +/- 30 минут на авто.

Судя по всему, менеджмент в отеле китайский, следовательно и все стандарты качества с китайским акцентом. Персонал по английски говорит и понимает плохо. В отеле пахнет куревом, да так, что запах уже въелся в полы и стены. В какую-то из ночей сосед вздумал покурить у себя в туалете, так мы чуть не угорели от его махорки. Пришлось звонить на ресепшн и ругаться. Правда курильщика устранили быстро, а на следующий день нам поставили в номер озонатор. Рядом почти нет, ни кафешек, ни магазинов и те до 21-22 часов. Так что вечером приходится, или сидеть в номере по-стариковски, или ехать куда-то тусить. Что-то заказывать в отеле - не самая лучшая идея. Во-первых дорого, во-вторых долго, в-третьих в номер они нести не хотят или делают вид, что не понимают. В сухом остатке, никакими 4-мя звездами там не пахнет. Отсюда и цена выглядит несколько завышенной.

The hotel is located right outside the histoical centre of Beijing. However, it is at least 15 minutes walk from any of the 3 neighbouring subway stations, so calculate an extra bus ride or taxi if you do not fancy long walks every day from and to the hotel. Check in was possibe from 11 AM, due to the reception staff being kind. This was extra helpful in our case. The room was clean and the staff kind. However a general refurbrishment is long due here. Breakfast was excellent and had an above average variety.

Fenomenalan doručak. Odlična lokacija sa brzim i lakim pristupom metrou i velikom broju autobusa. Banke, prodavnice, sve u blizini.

Отель полностью оправдывает свои 4 звезды. Завтраки стандартные для Пекина: выбор блюд качественный, но меню почти не меняется изо дня в день. Зато сам ресторан очень красивый, с приятной атмосферой. Огромный плюс — уютный зеленый дворик, где можно спокойно посидеть с кофе, отдыхая от городского шума

Из минусов — в лобби совсем нет мест для отдыха. Окна выходили на трассу, но шум не критичный, спать не мешал

Ok location but not too central

AC doesn’t work, room in the afternoon was very hot because of this. Not great location if you want to use public transport.

L’établissement est très éloigné de tout centre d’intérêt. Le personnel ne parle pas ou peu anglais, ce qui peut compliquer la communication. Si vous venez en tant que touriste, il est préférable de loger en centre-ville, car ici l’endroit est vraiment très calme, voire désert.
