Southern Lanta Resort

The room was a good size, and the bathroom was spacious, which is wonderful, as most Asian hotel bathrooms are very small. The two ladies at reception during the day are very sweet. I was very impressed especially with Jeng Narueporn. She was extremely helpful and really seemed to care deeply about the hotel. Everything in the room worked fine and that’s always great. I was here during the low / rainy season so the hotel was virtually empty; the beach was deserted, and most of the shops were closed. I personally enjoyed the solitude. Next to the deluxe swimming pool is a lovely sitting room, with breezeway and several shelves of books one can borrow. The reception calls this room the lounge; I dubbed it “the library.” It’s really a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the sound of the waves. There is a bar / restaurant, overlooking the ocean. All the rooms are set apart and have privacy, which lessens the noise from neighbors. 7/11 is an easy 7-8 minute walk.

I really have no complaints.

Airco zou fijn zijn bij ontbijt. Ontbijt was uitermate slecht. Beperkte keuze maar ook gewoon niet lekker. Wel een meer dan fantastische keuken voor lunch of diner… zo lekker als daar hebben we nergens gegeten.

Grande descoberta! Praia incrível e vazia. Apartamentos óptimos e varias piscinas. O bar vazio, pelo que se quiserem descanso e vistas incríveis este é o sítio.

Everything was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location right by the beach was beautiful. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, and we really enjoyed our stay.

Honestly, nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations and we had a wonderful experience.

The location of this resort was perfect which a beach front, the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and the breakfast buffet had a lot of different options. The staff were very friendly and professional.

The bathroom (particularly the shower) could have been cleaner.

This is a lovely resort hotel, well situated for restaurants and street food at the nearby Walking Street, and has a number of decent swimming pools and beach access. Ultimately, ticked all the boxes for us. The beach is huge and very shallow, so even if you're not a confident swimmer, you can enjoy the water and the surroundings by just wading in. A nice touch was a foot washing hose and basin for washing your hands as you return from the beach into the resort area, rather than the usual clumsy outdoor shower with poor pressure. I wish every hotel did this! Pool area was perfect for our kids - enough shallow areas that they could relax a bit, a tall water slide (slide with a hose bunged through a hole - but if it works, it works), and enough space to throw a ball around, etc. We had one of the villas next to the swimming pool area, and it was massive - kids had bunk beds, and we had a good size double (maybe king size). Unlike most hotels there was also a decent amount of space for storing suitcases and hanging clothes, and a drying rack was provided for wet items, which we left out on the deck. The bathroom was a good size as well. Breakfast was a standard (but good standard) buffet affair - no complaints. We ordered some drinks and ice creams, etc when we were at the hotel during the day, and they were excellent, and it was nice to be able to order with the room number instead of leaving cash around poolside. We had lunch at the beach bar a couple of times, again, no complaints - obviously it's more expensive than if you head out for street food, but that's expected for the convenience of not leaving the resort. We hadn't organised a transfer back to Krabi because we weren't sure how much extra time we'd need to account for the ferry, and when we asked at reception they kindly organised a transfer for us and included payment as part of checking out, which was excellent. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Wir hatten einen Bungalow fast direkt am Strand. der Bungalow war sauber, gross genug für uns (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind dass bei uns im Bett schläft), die Lage und der Strand sind super. Das Frühstück ist OK, nicht besonders abwechslungsreich, aber ausreichend. Wir waren 8 Nächte vor Ort und haben uns wohlgefühlt.

Hier und da ist die Anlage etwas abgewohnt.

Goede locatie, goed verzorgd

Bedden waren niet zo comfortabel. Personeel aan het restaurant (aan het strand) was zelden vriendelijk. Sluitingsuur zou om 22u00 zijn, maar ze gingen vaak al om 21:40 dicht.

We got a family cabin which was extremely spacious and very comfortable. It had a central kitchen/dining area and then a room and bathroom-on-suite on both sides. For our family of 5, two bathrooms is very handy. The pool area was lovely with two pools and a "hot tub" and the restaurant basically on the beach with incredible views. We literally rolled from our cabin to the pool and into the sea. Incredible and beautiful location. Also appreciated massage facilities and free yoga sessions.

The breakfast was a bit more limited than some of our other accommodation, and fruit juice vs cordial would have been preferred.

Great distance to the beach with lots of wildlife around. Really close to the main road which is so good for walking around at night time. Loved the tennis courts also

Vi havde en sunset villa længst nede ved vandet. Super fed terrasse og beliggenhed. Dog ikke noget særligt ved værelset. Morgenmaden var ok. Pool området var kedeligt. Virkelig lækker og børnevenlig strand. Ligger dejligt centralt.

Værelset mangler opgradering. F.eks. på badeværelset var der sat film rundt om vinduet og det kunne ikke åbnes. Dermed ingen udluftning. Middelmådigt mad på deres restaurant. Ved morgenmadsbuffet super venligt personale, dem ved restauranten og receptionen ikke særligt smilene

Ihana hotelli lähellä rantaa. Hyvä sänky ja tyynyt. Siisti iso bungalowi (majoituimme kahdessa eri bungalowissa). Henkilökunta oli mukavaa ja palvelualtista. Aamiainen hyvä. Menisin ehdottomasti uudelleen. Lähellä kaikki tarvittava. Allas-aluetta emme käyttäneet viikon aikana kuin kertaalleen, koska siellä oli niin paljon ihmisiä, mutta se riitti meille sillä nautimme enemmän meressä uimisesta. Tässä huoneistossa suihkun vedenpaine oli huomattavasti edellistä huoneistoa parempi.

Wir hatten einen Deluxe Familienbungalow mit dem wir sehr zufrieden waren. Wir waren zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder, der Bungalow hatte ein Wohnzimmer und zwei Schlafzimmer mit jeweils einem Badezimmer.

Auch wenn wir mit dem Bungalow sehr zufrieden waren, würden wir dieses Resort aber nicht wieder buchen. Der Frühstücksraum (in dem schon beim Frühstück die Luft steht, da es keine oder zu wenige Ventilatoren gibt) gleicht einem total überfüllten Speisesaal. Es geht auch nicht darum was auf dem Frühstücksbuffet war, sondern das es total lieblos angerichtet war und es jeden Morgen eine totale Massenabfertigung war. Da die Tische und Stühle für all die Gäste beim Frühstück nicht reichen, wurden am Rand noch ein paar Picknicktische mit fest installierten Bänken aufgestellt, was dem Preis der Übernachtung auch nicht im geringsten gerecht wird. Die Plastikstühle und Liegen am Hauptpool waren total verdreckt. Der Platz für die Massage ist auch sehr unklug gewählt, direkt neben dem Kinderpool. Wie soll man sich da entspannen, bei dem Lärmpegel?! Das Resort ist groß genug, dass es dafür auch einen besseren Platz gegeben hätte. Als Delux Gäste durften wir auch den zweiten Deluxe Pool benutzen. Die Liegen dort waren von besserer Qualität aber auch dreckig und ohne Auflagen. Der Deluxe Pool liegt den ganzen Tag in der direkten Sonne und die Liegen somit auch, es gibt keinen Schattenplatz und die Mini Sonnenschirme helfen da leider auch nicht weiter. Es war unser Achter Aufenthalt in Thailand aber leider waren wir zum ersten Mal mit dem Hotel nicht zufrieden.

Der Strand ist schön nur leider gibt es keine Liegen am Strand.

Die Anlage ist sehr alt, und überhaupt nicht gepflegt. Dem Personal kommt kein Lachen aus und ein guten Morgen oder ähnliches kommt auch nicht über die Lippen. Das Frühstück ist einfach nur preiswert teilweise plastikgeschirr, keine Tischdecken und die Tische werden nicht einmal abgewischt. Die Säfte sind so verdünnt da ist ein Glas Wasser gleich sinnvoller. Für den ganzen Frühstückspavillion gibt es zwei Ventilatoren einer ist für die Küche, vor dem zweiten steht das personal und wartet bis sie endlich abräumen können.

Um ehrlich zu sein, garnichts.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Gartenblick. Die Zimmer sind sehr alt, Badezimmer hatte viele Spinnweben und war allgemein nicht sauber. Zudem war das Fenster im Badezimmer nicht dicht, deshalb kam ein Gecko ins Bad.

We loved the location, being right on the beach, but a short walk to the main road shops. Our 2 bed family room was extremely spacious. The complimentary yoga was a real point of difference. Staff and service were good. The breakfast had lots of variety.

Just a few little things to improve what was a great stay - It would be great to have a bit more comfortable seating near the beach so we could enjoy watching our kids playing in the ocean. It would also help to have a drying rack to dry our wet clothes outside our room.

Prachtige locatie. Bungalows aan het strand. Behulpzaam personeel. Ze letten op het milieu door je zelf elke dag aan te laten geven of je nieuwe handdoeken en/of beddengoed wil.

Dit is niet iets wat ons niet beviel, maar meer een let op: er zijn veel gezinnen met (kleine) kinderen, die veel lawaai maken bij het zwembad. Interieur van de bungalow was wat verouderd.

We loved this resort. We booked the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony and it was fabulous. Looked brand new, very large and plenty of shelving & surfaces to unpack your things. Very clean. Breakfast had a lot of options and attentive staff. Beach restaurant was good. Pools weren’t too busy. Beach was nice with a few plastic chairs if you want to move to shade. A 5 minute walk to the main street for local food or convenience stores. Main market is a 1.5 kilometer walk or plenty of Tuk tuks available at main road.

Call to prayer over loud speakers got annoying, but I’m sure you will experience that throughout the island.

Right on the beach! Really nice breakfast! 4 really good pools and a gym. Restaurant is perfect for sunset, and cocktails at happy hour are reasonably priced.

Could do with a few more sun loungers by the pool. There are also no loungers or chairs on the beach. Our first night we went for sunset cocktails, we asked the waitress if it was happy hour (2 for 1). She said yes and we weren’t aware it finished at 6. When our bill arrived we realised we had to pay for each cocktail we then spoke to the staff and made them aware we were told it was 2 for 1 unfortunately they were very unhelpful. This did reflect how unhelpful some of the staff were. However some of the staff were also amazing too.

Emplacement idéal au milieu de la plage de Klong Dao et pas trop éloigné de Sala Dan ( 20 mn à pied) . Baingalow bien situé en front de mer donc très aéré. Soirées animées ( groupe de musique).

Petit déjeuner très quelconque, les plats cuisinés sont froids, le café n'est pas très bon . Très peu d'ombre dans l'hôtel et quelques petits parasols uniquement autour de la piscine. Pas de transats et pas de parasols en bord de plage. Eau de la piscine salee trouble et ligne d'eau sale. Logement propre et spacieux mais qui a besoin d'être rafraîchi. 1 seule table de nuit et 1 seule table de chevet. Interrupteurs et prises au milieu du lit : pas pratique et dangereux.

It was very comfortable. We had a nice deluxe bungalow and it was spacey enough. It had a nice terrace with a table and chairs as it should. Everything else that we needed was there.

The breakfast was good, but mediocre for this price level. There where to few sunbeds that was possible to lay flat (only one at the deluxe pool)

Excellent location with easy stroll to the beach and pool. Lovely gardens and grounds.

Der Resort ist grundsätzlich sehr schön, jedoch könnte man mit wenig renovation und etwas sauberen WC Anlage im Resort viel optimieren. Das Personal ist freundlich, jedoch nicht das Thai Herzlichkeit..

Pools were very dirty, didn't use them. Some of the staff were grumpy and rude, mainly at the restaurant, took a while to get noticed and served but food did come quick, (male waitor was lovely and friendly). No name badges made it hard to pass on feedback. Reception staff lovely and helpful. Breakfast was good but some strange options, or lack of (no cheese with omelletes, no honey for cereals) etc.

La Localisation est bonne, la plage est magnifique (parsemée de tous petits crabes que nous avons eu plaisir à observer) pour les couchers du soleil. Les chambres de l’hôtel sont très confortables, nous étions dans un appartement au dessus de la réception très spacieux et calme. L’hôtel loue des scooters à des prix très raisonnable ce qui est idéal pour visiter l’ile.

Nous avons été au BBQ du restaurant le mardi soir et les prix sont excessivement chers bien que le cadre soit magnifique. Nous avons préféré manger au night market pas tres loin. Le service de pressing (prix variable par vêtement) est aussi très cher comparé à ce que nous vu ailleurs en Thaïlande.

Le monsieur qui fait les cockails, stawberry lassi pas de goût ou trop sucré. Pour les massages trop près de la piscine pour être pleinement reposant avec le bruit et pas assez de transat.

Väga mõnus hotell. Olime seal 4 päeva ja 3 ööd. Meil oli oma väike majake koos terrassiga. Kõik oli puhas ja koristajad käisid iga päev. Seal oli kokku 3 basseini kompleksi ning meri kohe kõrval. Kõik oili väga lähedal. Hommikusöök oli väga mitmekesine ja maitsev. Kokk valmistas iga hommik omletti ja kohalikku pannkooki rotit. Alati oli värskeid puuvilju. Kohvi armastajatel soovitame oma kohvi kaasa võtta, Tais on levinud Nescafe kohvid. Rannaääres oli kohalik restoran, kus sõime lõunat ja toidud maitsvad. Rolleriga 5 minuti sõidu kaugusel on igaõhtune turg, kus palju osta ja head sööki. Asukoht väga hea. Rannaliiv pehme ja õhtuti toimusid seal tuleshowd jne. Hotell aitas meid mõistliku tasu eest transpordiga, meid toodi lennujaamast hotelli ja pärast viidi meie järgmisesse peatuspaika. Jäime väga rahule ja tuleme järgmine aasta tagasi.

The staff was very friendly and helped us every time we needed assistance. The location is great and provides easy access to everything, especially the beach, which you can reach directly from the resort. We were also able to rent a scooter from the reception, which was very convenient. The pool is very nice and a great place to relax.

The rooms seemed a bit outdated, including the bathroom and the shower, but it wasn’t a major issue for us.

Chambres familiales spacieuses, hôtel bien situé sur une belle plage au calme.

Manque de chaises de plage/piscine. Notre hébergement était trop près d'une soufflerie qui empêchait de se reposer sur la terrasse et juste à côté d'une maison en rénovation, ce qui n'était pas très joli.

Glatt överraskade av skicket på familjevillan vi bodde i, den var verkligen tipptopp! Vi önskar att vi hade stannar fler nätter. Jättebra läge precis vid stranden och många restauranger inom gångavstånd.

Stökigt runt poolen med bokade solstolar som sedan aldrig användes. Servicen i lunch-/middagsrestaurangen var sådär. Väldigt omodern och tråkig frukost.
