Fin morgenmad.

Alt trængte til vedligehold. Vasken var tilstoppet, døren bandt, møblerne var mega plettede og ulækre. Der stop tomme glas overalt på hotellet som ikke blev ryddet op. Spaen var mest bare forskellige varme pools. Virkelig skuffende oplevelse desværre.

Spa-og wellness området var alt for pakket! Støj og larm grundet antallet af gæster - ligesom i en offentlig svømmehal. Slet ikke afslappede.

Dejligt sted. Luksuriøst på en behagelig afdæmpet måde. Flere restauranter og tæt på stad og strand.

Temmelig mange mennesker i SPA området, men det var også mellem jul og Nytår.

Maden i Gildas

Det var første gang vi besøgte stedet. Vi gik lidt forvirret rundt og manglede lidt information om stedet, om hvordan man skulle/kunne tilgå spaområdet, og der var mere man kunne booke og få en anden slags spa-oplevelse til venstre fra alt det andet. Det ville vi gerne have vidst.

For mange mennesker i spaen. For få fertiliteter i spaen. Små værelse. Sen check-in. Ingen plads i restauranten

Kunne sku lide det hele måske lidt dyrt men man fik os meget for penge

Den uforpligtende atmosfære, hyggelig indretning, hjælpsomt og sødt personale.

I SPA - ingen bassin med saltvand, “boblebad” indendørs får bobler fra centrum af badekarret - det ville være rart, hvis strømmen kunne komme også fra væggene - til bl a rygmassage. Der var kun 4 brusebade til mange gæster, og én af dem var i stykke, kun 1 føntørrer til mange besøgende.

Wonderful food and great views of the sea form the common areas. Rooms located close to the spa and bar areas are best to be avoided if you want a relaxing quit night- drunk noisy people u til midnight is not exactly what was expected. I recommend d to ask for rooms not close to this part of the large hotel if you want a quiet night. Meeting room smelled of formaldehyde/drains and was cold and not very appealing. Staff was nice.

It was a great stay, and we had a lovely time overall. The restaurant was very nice, and the breakfast was great with a good variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and we really appreciated their kindness and service.

We had a bad experience in the spa. My partner hurt his foot in the pool because there was broken glass in the water. We were very disappointed, as this should never happen in a place meant for relaxation and safety. The staff were a bit slow to handle the situation at first, but as it was a shock, that was understandable. They were very kind and took the matter seriously, creating an incident report and hopefully closed the spa for the rest of the evening.

Det ända som var negativt för oss var takduschen på vårt rum, handdusch hade fungerar bättre för oss, svårt att tvätta håret och skjölja ur det. Mv. Lena

Väldigt mysigt, säkert ännu bättre på sommaren! Lite mörkt inomhus, vilket står lite i kontrast till den ljusa havsbadskänslan man hoppats på, men rummen är fina och ljusa rum. Bra frukost och maten i övrigt var helt okej.

Indretningen og stemningen.

Vi oplevede flere gange meget lange ventetider og personale, som ikke var interessede i at hjælpe. Derudover manglede vi en hel del informationer.

We had a lovely stay. Great location, lovely walks along the coast, wonderful beach and sea. Enjoyed the spa. Food is good, especially the breakfast. I think the exterior needs some attention - pool lining needs maintenance, some exterior walls need painting, some of the planting is tired.

Toilet forhold på rummet elendigt ! Støjende glasskydedør uden ordentlig aflukke. Konstant tecno musik i baggrunden på hele hotellet, umuligt at slippe fri for uanset hvor man er ( incl rummet ). Ellers fantastisk udsigt, fremragende mad og yderst fint personale!

We were there on a nice August Saturday to have some lunch and enjoy the beach view and a seaside walk. The Ceasarsallad is perfect and very good prices compared to other places. It can be a bit difficult to fin a parking spot nearby, but if you do it is worth the trip. Perfect service and a nice surrounding indoors and outdoors. We choose to dine outdoors this time. The bar indoors is very inviting. This time we did not stay at the actual spa but merely had a nice lunch.

Overpriced and very noisy "spa hotel". Paid 10k SEK for two nights. The first night included the restaurant outside the window playing extremely loud music, even at 23:15 at night. The bass goes directly through windows, so no chance of getting a nights sleep until they turn off the music between 00 and 07. This is not a place to relax at all as it's way too noisy at night. Avoid and save your money for something of higher quality.

Like many other guests, we have been her before, years back, and loved it - but were disappointed this time around. It seems to us that this hotel suffers from too much success and has grown arrogant. At every little turn, they charge extra. That is never a good sign and in our experience, everything tends to go downhill from this point. The nice things - some of them - are still here, of course: the location is beautiful, the rooms are fresh, clean, and very pretty and the common areas like restaurants etc are also as a rule lovely, with thought out designs and that Hyannisport feel to it all. BUT - and that is a very big but - the service is not up to scratch. From the booking experience to the checkning in, it was downright terrible at times. They have devised a kind of time slot scheme for their guests that is just awful. They herd and hector their guests around as if we were cattle. Wait here, pay there, the room is not ready kind of thing. We had to pay a considerable amount to check in at three in the afternoon, which is late-ish in any hotel in the world. Notwithstanding paying a lot for spa treatment (mediocre) and access to the pool (seriously overcrowded) and access to our expensive room (paid extra to get in!), nothing worked smoothly. One - and only one! - nice receptionist tried to help us to get to our room but was scolded by a colleague. You wait! Room is not ready. (Turned out the one nice staff member was new at his job, Figures. At least he wanted to help, but of course it did not work.) There's not that many rooms and they are soo tiny! Many of them are empty between 10.00 am and 17.00 pm (because of the extra charge to check in at 15.00 or stay until 11.00, you see). How on earth it can be this impossible to get access to the room I will never know. We had to sit and wait alongside with dozens of other unfortunate guests, all of us surrounded by tons of baggage. It felt like sitting in a train station where every train had broken down. At breakfast, it was so crowded we could hardly eat. There must have been multitudes in there. Checking out, the same: multitudes, stress, constant mix ups. Not very nice staff. And why? Beause of the appalling slot system. All of the guests had to access and vacate at certain time slots. So, of course most of the guests hurried like crazy to get some breakfast before checking out - it was either that or pay extra. In a well run hotel you will get access to your room when it's ready. It will not take hours to clean a tiny room (yes, the rooms at Ystad Saltsjöbad have always been very small). And, most importantly - the staff will be accommodating and not act like annoyed head masters towards the customers. The restaurant is beautiful. The food at dinner and breakfast is very good, mostly. But again, the service is not good. This is the kind of place where the rules are more important than the guests. And, again, the breakfast was so overcrowded because of the rigorous check-out system, that we almost panicked and left long before we had eaten up, just to breathe. The waiting staff at breakfast were hard pressed to keep up with hundreds of customers. The indoor pool was so crowded there was standing room only. If the hotel had let the guests in when they arrived, there would have been a natural flow of people in the rooms, the restaurants and the pools and not these suffocating crowds. The lunch, sadly, was the worst. Terribly rude staff and inedible food. The room - pretty, but very small. The bathroom was so tiny there was hardly enough room to turn around, the wash basin almost sitting on top of the toilet and so close to the shower that a big person would hardly have fitted in there. There were not enough towels, no plastic bag for your wet swim suit (this is a seaside hotel with several pools) and no safe! The bed was wonderful, credit where credit is due. The final touch was the foolproof sign of a badly run hotel - the cleaning staff banged on our door and yelled "housekeeping!!" well before our check-out time, and in spite of a DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door. All over the world, this means "badly run hotel". Sorry, Ystad. We've enjoyed your spa and hotel many times the last twenty years, but no more.

Dejligt sted, men spaen var kedelig og alm. Der manglede det der lidt ekstra til den pris.

Fantastisk god oplevelse i skønne omgivelser. Lækker mad; både morgenmad og aftensmad. Vi skal helt sikkert tilbage igen

There are no words to describe how much I love this place. Cozy, charming, excellent services, delicious food and nice beverages. The hotel has an excellent spa area with outside and indoor swimming pools,m and saunas. Moreover, you can swim in the Baltic Sea and walk around the sandy beach.

It was our second time and we were looking forward to coming back. We were dissapointed. Not entirely though. The climate of the rooms, Salt restaurant with excellent food and long walks along the beaches with pine trees. Amazing. And food was tip top. But spa, which is probably the main reason all come here, is no longer a place to relax. No tranquility. No relax. No quiet. It is becoming more like Ibiza where guest walk with their drinks to hot tubs, sauna and pools. The music is too loud and even guests are very loud. Absolutely no classical spa atmosphere. If you do not know what I mean here please try to go to the japanese onsen. Well, I have nothing against it if only those who look for relax get this opportunity for the money they pay. Or alerted before they cash in. Even the upper floor with the open fire in the centre was loud as some guests could not accept that the other were looking for a few moments of quiet. If it is the direction of this nice place, well it is good to know. We will start to look for a new place then.

Kunne godt have brugt et større menukort, ellers var det fantastisk

Desværre måtte vi sende mad ud 2 ud af 3 gange da retterne var kolde (som skulle have været varme) på restaurant Port. Stedet er generelt meget fyldt og man venter meget på at der er plads i bade/saunaer. Morgenmaden var free seeting, som betyder at vi gik rundt i 5min og selv måtte lede efter et bord der var ledigt til 2. Vi forventer mere af et 4 stjernet hotel

I recently visited Ystad Saltsjöbad with my mother, using a Christmas gift I had received. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Booking Issues The booking process was incredibly frustrating. Spa treatments and hotel stays require separate bookings, which made it difficult to coordinate. After finding an available date for both the stay and treatments, I booked the hotel online, but by the time I returned to the spa booking, the treatments were no longer available. This happened repeatedly despite quick responses on my end. After several back-and-forth emails, I finally called and settled for a stay with treatments we didn’t initially want, just to finalize the plans. Last-Minute Cancellations On our way to the hotel, the spa called to cancel one of our treatments, which was deeply disappointing since the treatments were the main reason for our stay. While they managed to reschedule the treatment for the next morning at 9:15, it wasn’t ideal as we were checking out that day. I did appreciate their effort to make amends, but it didn’t fully compensate for the initial disappointment. Noise Levels We stayed in a ground-floor room where the noise was overwhelming. Loud hallway music could be heard in our room, and bass-heavy music from the pool area or another location played all afternoon—even though it’s January and no one was using the pool. This lack of consideration for guest comfort was surprising. Spa Experience The spa itself was beautiful, but the atmosphere was far from relaxing. The area felt more like a party venue, with loud guests in the jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. When I visit a spa, I expect tranquility and an opportunity to unwind. Ystad Saltsjöbad unfortunately did not deliver on this front, despite its gorgeous facilities. Positives The restaurant was a highlight, offering excellent food and attentive service. The waiter was professional and accommodating, especially with my mother’s special dietary needs. Similarly, the service in the spa lounge was pleasant, and the quiet lounge upstairs provided some much-needed peace. Overall While Ystad Saltsjöbad has potential with its stunning facilities and attentive restaurant staff, the overall experience fell short of expectations due to poor booking coordination, noise levels, and the disruptive atmosphere in the spa. For those seeking a true spa retreat, I would recommend considering other options.

Mycket fräscht och välstädat samt trevligt inrett rum . Jättetrevlig och serviceminded personal. Frukostbuffén hade högsta kvalité och hade verkligen allt som vi ville ha till frukost.rikligt med frukt, färskt bröd av olika slag samt bra med alternativ för veganer.

2 overnatninger, afslapning og genopladning, virkeligt skønt, lækre værelser med udsigt, skøn og lækker mad. fantastisk ophold, vi kommer klart igen.

I recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment we arrived, Jessica and Marie at reception were amazing. They greeted us with warm smiles and made the check-in seamless. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist with any requests truly made our stay special. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself was incredible, the decor, atmosphere and ambience was second to none. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and welcoming stay! We are very much looking forward to returning for our next stay. Jessica & Perzha xx

Spa’et var okay, men ikke fantastisk.

We unfortunately didnt manage to have a good time at your establishment. We werent able to book a table at any of your restaurants. So we asked in the bar if we could order room service and enjoy it in the lounge area, they said “yes of course”, i then went to the reception to double check and make sure i did it right (ordering roomservice online). She gladly helped me out and was very nice and instructed me in how to do it. 5-10 min after a woman came marching in the lounge upset, and asked around of who ordered room service here. I waved and smiled and asked her if it was about the food i had ordered. She said yes, and agressively told us that is wasnt possible and it could only be served in the room. I then told her, that i had just talked to the reception who told me it was possible, i didnt even mention the bar also told me or the reason why (everything booked up). She then said in an upset tone “okay i’ll go talk to Nanna then!” (I think the name was) And marched agressively out again. She didnt come back to give an update, so we just sat there not knowing if we would have food or not. It kinda ruined our romantic night :/ We just became parents so this was our first time out in a year. After what seems like forever, the food arrived. The wine was fine, but the steak was so salty, it hurt our mouth to eat it. We ate it anyway because we were really hungry at this point. Our room was right by the bar too, så we didnt have much sleep either, we could hear every time the door opened and people were talking. The toilet was also dirty. Maybe avoid room 201.

Toppenhelg med mysigt spa, rent och fint och välplanerat. Trevlig personal överallt och supergod mat. Härlig frukostbuffe som ligger i top tre över fina hotelfrukostar. Ett stort plus för att vi kunde ha vår hund med.

Et sted vi helt sikker skal tilbage til. God mad, skønne faciliteter, venligt personale etc. Det kan anbefales.

Pænt og rent overalt. Dog er møblementet nogle steder lidt slidt. Belysning i værelserne er ikke ret gode og der kan ikke læses ved sengene.

Very nice experience, especially the sea view, service and breakfast. Too many people in the pool club, the spas were very crowded. Nice atmosphere everywhere and excelllent service. The staff is very nice and no waiting time at check in/out. We will definately visit again

Utmärkt skick och miljö. Utmärkt service och mat. Rummen trånga, mörka med dålig belysning. Bra för resande med hund. Läget oslagbart!

The bed

In comparison with other spa hotels we visited, it fell a lot behind with accommodation levels and price points.

My wife and I chose to celebrate our anniversary at Saltsjöbaden and we were not disappointed. As a matter of fact it was marvelous. The staff was really kind and welcoming, the hotel is nice the rooms are very tastefully decorated and it is kept in the traditional Swedish style that we love so much. Our dinner was excellent the moules frites we a real experience.. We may come back just for them.. 😊 Don't forget to pamper yourself in the spa. It really is worth it and so are you. They spa area is super and the treatments are devine. The only criticism would be that they tell you the your dog is welcome, which only is true to some extent. Your dog has to stay in the room at all times.... Not very dog and dog owner friendly. YSB should look at how their colleagues in Germany does it, such as Sloss Hotel Flesensee. Then they could claim to be dog friendly.

Ærgerligt at cocktailbaren ved restauranten mere havde en brun bodega stemning end en god cocktailbar på et spa hotel. Og så passede musikken ved poolen slet ikke til stemningen. Men ellers var alt perfekt.

The perfect reset. We have spent 4 beautiful days in Ystad Saltsjöbad. The place is a bit old-fashioned luxurious but has his charme and the sensation is very warm. Service is excellent. Food at the restaurant is fine. Only some little details for such standard: bathroom in the room it’s very small (not in the suite, this suite was stunning). Music is a bit loud and should be different (not the same all the day and for all the places…). Food in the bar of the swimming pool could be much better. We will come back because we had a lovely time, we were feeling very well.

Jättefint och mysigt! Firade vårt 9års dag, dock hade det varit önskevärt om det fanns luftkonditionering på rummet då det blev väldigt varm, vi hade svårt att sova!

We really enjoyed the spa facilities, pools, and the location being close to the ocean. Spa staff were excellent - came to the tub to offer to bring us drinks. The room itself was small and not as great - we had a "sea view" but there were benches blocking the actual view. The toilet was broken and would not flush. The bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. The staff we interacted with were nice. Breakfast was good. Overall, it was a great trip, and worth the price simply due to the spa facilities. Note that the room itself was not worth the price, but the excellence of the spa pools made up for it.

Ett sort komplex med otroligt många gäster. ”Spa” är mer som en simhall med många gäster samtidigt. Handdukar och badrockar ligger överallt, alldeles för få, skåp, duschar och utrymme i omklädningsrummen baserat på antal gäster. Hög musik i spa och fullt med sand längs kanterna i poolerna. Ingen avslappning där överhuvudtaget, det blir dessvärre inget återbesök pga spa. I övrigt trevlig personal och bra frukost/mat. Sängen i rummet var otroligt nedsutten/mjuk/sliten så vaknade inte direkt utvilad.

Det var bra lite större rum ixh Lido kunde dela upp för besökare i badrock icke badrock m. Annars är vi nöjda.

Der var alt for koldt. De havde ikke nok varme på, hverken i spa område, på værelserne eller på restauranten.

Meget små værelser, dåligt bad & toilet, manglwnde opbevaring på værelse. Pool område alt for mange mennesker - lalandia agtigt. Alt alt for dyrt. Slet ikke høj kvalitet og mad for ringe.

Das Hotel liegt sehr schön direkt am Strand. Wollte ein Zimmer Richtung Strand. War aber ausgebucht. Hatten dann Zimmer Richtung Pool. Ab 8.00 Uhr morgens wurde man mig lauter Musik geweckt. Tagsüber laute Gespräche am Pool. Am Samstag Abend laute Diskomusik. Von Ruhe im Zimmer keine Spur. Wenn ich Englisch sprach wurde auf schedisch geantwortet, dasich nicht verstand. Frühstücksbüffet war ausgiebig und gut.

Allt var fint men önskar att det inte fanns musik överallt.

Fantastisk service i fantastisk rammer

Helt igennem fantastisk oplevelse. De ansatte gjorde alt for at gæster nød opholdet. Alt er helt nede på jorden. Det er den bedste morgenbuffet jeg har oplevet til dato. Skulle jeg sætte fingeren på noget - så er det renligheden omkring udendørs spa’en. Den kunne nok hæves lidt - men det er jo også fordi alt andet spillede

Alt var positivt. Intet negativt.

Hotellet er generelt slidt. Der var huller i væggene og loftet i vores værelse. Der kom mad-os ud af ventilationen og vores jakker lugter. Beskidt service på værelset som ikke blev skiftet ved roomservice. Overfyldt i spaen, i afslapningsområdet og i loungen. Om aftenen var der høj musik med tung bas i loungen og dette kunne høres helt ned på værelset. Spaen blev forvandlet til et party-sted med diskokugle i loftet og drinks serveret i stride strømme. Folk blev fulde og højlydte. Tog til ystad for at få slappet af, stresse ned og få lidt ro. Tog derfra med endnu højere stress og mere træt end da jeg kom. Man føler sig snydt, når man har betalt lige godt 7000 dkk for 2 overnatninger, 1xaftensmad og sammenlagt 3 glas vin for ovenstående..

Lækkert og eksklusivt

Det var et dejligt ophold. Slappede totalt af og blev forkælet af det skønne personale. Det var anden gang vi var der men ikke sidste gang

Helt fantastisk sted, hvor man virkelig kommer ned i gear og bliver behandlet på den bedste måde. Smukt, rent og gennemført skønt sted.

Maten ej prisvärd. Frukosten däremot mycket bra med många olika rätter!

Its a nice resort with great baths

The bed we had was too small for us two.

Musiken vid poolen var förfärlig.... Vi har varit på YSB flera gånger tidigare, men då har musiken varit lågmäld och trevlig. Nu var det en DJ som matade på med oavbruten musik i relativt hög volym. Möjligen till de yngres förtjusning, men för vårt sällskap blev den musiken det enda negativa med vår vistelse. Kommer inte att åka till YSB fler gånger om det inte går att bada i den fina bassängen utan störningsmusik.

Skønt ophold med dejlige faciliteter. I kunne overveje at fjerne musikken mod vandsiden og betragte dette område som stilleområde med fint samspil til havets lyd
