Reviewed Sep 9, 2026Hotel San Filis in San Felice del Benaco is a beautiful, historic building with a gorgeous courtyard, an excellent pool and garden, all with a relaxed and informal vibe. Our top floor room was small but cosy, lovely decoration, well equipped, and a great bathroom. Our fantastic view over the pool was towards Lake Garda. Breakfast was included, and was very good- eggs, ham, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, bread, honey, jam, pastries... very impressive! (my experience of breakfasts in Italian hotels has not been great until now!). Also free water dispenser 24hrs a day. The staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable; and their restaurant recommendation (Citiesse) was fantastic. We borrowed E-bikes from the hotel (no charge!) and spent all day riding to Salò and back (was beautiful!). We spent another day just hanging out at the pool. Didn't want to leave! Altogether, a really fantastic hotel which ended up being the best thing about our stay at Lake Garda. Can't recommend it enough!
There was really only one thing which could and should have been better- the coffee at breakfast. It was really not great, and it's not easy to find bad coffee in Italy! It's a shame the hotel restaurant didn't open in the evening; if it had we would certainly have eaten there.

Při naßem příjezdu ve 23:30 hodin nebyl nikdo na, recepci,, přestože recepce měla mít službu do 24:00 hodin. Po půl hodině čekání přišla paní z vedlejší místnosti kde se dívala na televizi a začala se nám věnovat. Nejhorší bylo, že nám byl přidělen pokoj, který jsme si neobjednali, protože jeho rozměry byly místo 17 metrů čtverečních necelých 9 metrů čtverečních, místo velké manželské postele byla hodně úzká postel. Fotografie pokoje, kterou pronajímatel uvádí na bookingu se vůbec neshoduje s pokojen, který nám byl přidělen. Toto jsme ještě večer v recepci reklamovali a bylo nám přislíbeno, že se vše vyřeší ráno. Druhý den nám byl nabídnut jiný pokoj, který rovněž nesplňoval naše požadavky. Byl zase malý a vůbec neodpovídal tomu, co jsme si objednali. Nakonec nám recepční arogantním způsobem oznámila, že jiné volné pokoje nemají. Protože jsme byli podvedení, tak jsme požádali o pomoc pracovníka bookingu, aby kontaktoval recepční a vyřešil náš problém s neodpovídajícím ubytováním. Pracovník bookingu rovněž neuspěl a nabídnul nám symbolickou finanční kompenzaci. Dejte si pozor na tento hotel, protože jejich reklama a fotografie pokojů na bookingu neodpovídají realitě a dle požárních plánků to vypadá, že ani žádné velké pokoje pro hosty ve skutečnosti nemají.

Das 2Bettzimmer hatte ein kleines Bett, welches an der Wand stand. Einen Nachttisch gab es nicht. 2 Koffer waren nicht unterzubringen. Für eine Person top, für 2 Personen eine Zumutung.

Het enige wat we jammer vonden was dat er bij het ontbijt iets op was en je zelf moest vragen of het bijgevuld kon worden. Hier mocht van mij wat extra op worden gelet.

Brak lodówki jest problematyczny. W pokoju było za ciemno, słabe oświetlenie.

L’arredamento delle camere sarebbe un po’ da rivedere, un difetto importante è la mancanza di un frigo in camera (per esempio per stoccaggio farmaci necessari ad alcune persone e/o per avere possibilità di tenere bottiglie al fresco in camera)

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und spartanisch eingerichtet. Zwischen Bettende und Mauer war lediglich ca. 40 cm Platz. Die Schränke hatten keine Türen, kein Abfalleimer im Zimmer. Schaute man aus dem Fenster sah man gerade an eine Mauer und ein Stück Dach, lehnte man sich aus dem Fenster sah man knapp auf den Innenhof. Das einzige Positive war, dass das Zimmer sauber war. Wir hatten wohl das schlechteste Zimmer des ganzen Hotels bekommen.

Klimaanlage leider nicht im Zimmer zu regeln. Konnten wir Nachts deshalb nicht laufen lassen.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026Zgodna z oczekiwaniami Włoska atmosfera, bardzo miła obsługa podczas śniadań. Klimatyzacja w pokojach, darmowy.parking 3 min od hotelu. Mieliśmy pokój poniżej poziomu, co było dodatkowo trafnym rozwiązaniem, ponieważ temp w pokoju była bardzo przyjemna. W okolicy 2-3 min od hotelu polecam restauracje El Patio z bardzo dobrym jedzeniem. Wejście do hotelu znajduje się w jednej z bram wąskich uliczek. Basen czysty, woda ok 29 stopni, nie brakowało leżaków obok basenu. Śniadania bardziej na słodko, ale każdy powinien wyjść najedzony. Ogólnie polecam, wybrałbym jeszcze raz ten hotel. Najbliższa plaża ok 15 min na południe, ale polecam spiaggia de portese na północ od hotelu. Lepsza.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026such a lovely gem! we really loved it - exceeded our expectations. friendly staff, nice location in a super cute small town. good parking options and a nice little pool. we will be back for sure, this was such a nice surprise. Its a pet friendly hotel, - and i am allergic but did not have any reaction to this, everything was so clean and all guests had their dogs on leach.
we found the beds a bit hard, and the double bed was not attached in the middle (we are a family with kids, so if you sleep in the middle you kind of fall in the whole) - we had a short stay and im sure the staff would have found a solution if we said something, not a big problem. also a lot of dogs - almost all guests had dogs... some of the guests had dogs not trained to greet children, so a bit unpleasant for the kids.

Reviewed Jun 25, 2026Una vecchia casa ristrutturata con una piscina scoperta nella parte retrostante. Bello l'ingresso e la colazione nel cortiletto. Bella la camera spaziosa e con vista sulla piscina. ll bagno pulito ed essenziale, molto piccolo e senza bidet.
Per un 3 stelle, il phon tubo appeso alla parete è una caduta di stile enorme. Ma poi siamo nel 2026, davvero ci sono strutture con l'asciugacapelli attaccato alla parete con un tubo?? Ma la cosa che mia lasciato a bocca aperta è stato quello che ho trovato aprendo l'armadietto sotto la televisione: invece di contenere un mini frigorifero, era piano di bottiglie di plastica d'acqua e cocacola vuote e di bottiglie di superalcolici (vodka o grappa), anch'esse vuote. Evidentemente non erano state fatte le pulizie dall'ospite precedente e queste cose non dovrebbe succedere in un hotel che non costa poco ed è un 3 stelle.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is very cozy, charming, and welcoming, with a warm atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. What impressed us the most, however, was the incredible staff. During our stay, we unfortunately experienced a very difficult situation after getting food poisoning from seafood we had eaten at another restaurant. We became so ill that we had to call an ambulance during the night and were taken to a hospital about 20 minutes away from the hotel. The next morning I was discharged, but there was no way for me to get back because the city’s taxi services were on strike. The hotel staff immediately stepped in and kindly arranged transportation for me back to the hotel. My boyfriend was discharged about five hours later, and once again the staff made sure he had a way to return safely as well. Their kindness, care, and willingness to help during such a stressful situation meant so much to us. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and felt supported. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did. We highly recommend this hotel not only because it is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable, but because the people working there are genuinely warm-hearted and caring. Thank you for making a difficult experience so much easier for us. We will never forget your kindness. ❤️
