Great location, very central and easy walk to all the sights. Lovely helpful staff. The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable, we had a balcony room facing the Teatro Massimo but trees block the view. Breakfast was lovely and staff accommodated our request for yoghurt and granola.

The shower was small and low pressure.

What I love most about the hotel is the location. It is a wonderful hotel. I would rate it higher than most in palermo, with a staff that is beyond accommodating. I thought I had an issue with my air. Conditioning, and they immediately attended to my problem, and I had it in/on the wrong "mode." One of my guests left their purse passport in Euro. At the hotel, the staff immediately sought out several options. And it was delivered to the airport within the hour. They will always be heroes to me. And my guest, who left her purse.

Czułam się zaopiekowana przez personel, na powitanie otrzymałam powitalnego drinka co w upalny dzień było wyśmienitym rozpoczęciem przygody w Palermo. Śniadania smaczne i urozmaicone, jest możliwość zjedzenia śniadania w pokoju a nawet w łóżku :) bez dodatkowych kosztów. Obsługa hotelu nienaganna, Gracie mille.

It was right in the main piazza with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops close by. Staff were excellent and very helpful

I love this hotel, the best in Palermo

The hotel is in an excellent location, right opposite the beautiful Teatro Massimo. We requested a room with a view of the theatre, which, based on the description, seemed to correspond to the Superior Room. However, there was a huge tree directly in front of our balcony, so we couldn’t see the building at all. When we complained, we were told that all the rooms have like this, and in the end, they waived the surcharge. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and spacious. We ordered breakfast to our room, and it was delicious and plentiful.

There was no view of the theatre.

The Breakfast arrangements were a little odd - we were a family of four split onto two tables of two in the dining room. We do understand the limitations though - the hotel does not have room for everyone to have breakfast, so people are encouraged to breakfast in their room.

I had an amazing stay at Massimo Plaza Hotel. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff was absolutely wonderful — very friendly, warm, and welcoming. I especially appreciated the breakfast service delivered directly to my room. It was such a nice touch, and the team was always punctual and attentive to every detail. The breakfast was fresh, well-prepared, and served with great care. You can really feel the attention and dedication of the staff. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Palermo, just in front of the Teatro Massimo. It was perfect for exploring the city and enjoying everything nearby. I truly loved my stay and would highly recommend this hotel for the excellent service, amazing location, and the kindness of the team.

Great location but the hotel was very outdated and a bit makeshift. I don’t know what our room was previously, maybe in office? But there was so much space that it was hard for their Air Conditioner to cool it down.

I don’t understand what made this hotel a four-star hotel, other than the location

Bed was hard. Breakfast arrangements weird - they strongly encouraged in room breakfast (not the usual buffet, and not saying this before I booked), and then lost my breakfast reservation on the day I left when I needed to get a flight.

Det værelse vi fik tildelt vendte ud mod en bygning maksimalt 5 m fra hotellet Naboens altan var lige ud for vores værelse Den smalle smøre der er mellem bygningerne anvendes til plads for affaldscontainere med tømning fra kl 6 am.

The staff were so helpful and kind. It was last minute reservations but we didn’t have any issues.

Le bruit insupportable provenant de la ruelle sur laquelle donnait la chambre et non une cour intérieure comme annoncé dans le descriptif : isolation phonique très insuffisante pour protéger du bruit des terrasses de restaurants jusqu’à plus de une heure, puis le remplissage des poubelles et enfin à six heures ramassage des contenairs des verres Le petit déjeuner laissait à désirer : fruits immangeables car non murs , pain sans doute de la veille…

Excellent location for visiting all the amazing buildings and near to so many restaurants. Lovely large triple room with balcony looking over Massimo Plaza and theatre. Staff very friendly and helpful.

La struttura si trova in un’ottima posizione comoda per girare a piedi tutto il centro storico di Palermo. Camere pulite, spaziose e silenziose anche se andrebbero rimodernate nei mobili e togliendo la moquette. Colazione buona sia dolce che salata. Personale gentile e molto disponibile, una menzione particolare a Federico che ci ha dato ottimi consigli.

La scala un po’ scomoda per entrare in hotel

L'hotel di per se è tendenzialmente datato sia nelle parti comuni sia le stanze; nonostante questo è molto ben tenuto e molto pulito. Quello che ha reso speciale il soggiorno oltre alla posizione centralissima è stato lo staff. A partire da Federico persona di una cultura e di una gentilezza incredibile, per proseguire con la ragazza della colazione. A volte si rinuncia ad un po' di confort a favore di tanta ospitalità.

Tutto davvero eccellente. Posizione centralissima, staff servizievole, colazione in camera senza addizionale. Mi sono sentito benvenuto e coccolato. Francamente una attenzione al cliente che è difficile da trovare di questi tempi, e per un prezzo assolutamente ragionevole. Raccomando l'Hotel Massimo a tutti come un eccellente biglietto da visita a una città peraltro sorprendente come Palermo che merita decisamente una visita.

Volendo trovare il pelo nell'uovo, le prese di corrente sono poche e un po' lasche. Oggi si viaggia con un sacco di caricabatterie al seguito.

The entrance to the hotel is via stairs, and there are quite a few of them. I would recommend a more varied breakfast and larger tables in the breakfast room.

Excellent location in the heart of Old Town. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Despite it being so central, it was surprisingly quiet due to the great shutters to block out noise.

The location could not have been more central! Walking distance from everywhere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, but well maintained and clean.

Parking and access with luggage was a bit of an issue because it is in a pedestrian zone… unfortunately we don’t travel light, so I suggest carry on or back pack only if staying here.

Die Lage. Hilfsbereites und sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück im Zimmer.

Das Zimmer wird als "schallisoliert" beschrieben, entspricht aber nicht dieser Erwartung. Vom Korridor her konnte man jedes Flüstern hören und es gab einen Spalt in der Zimmertüre, durch den man sogar durchblicken konnte. Entsprechend tief das Gefühl von Privatsphäre. Ein Hinweis darauf wurde mit "das höre ich zum ersten Mal" entgegengenommen. Das Zimmerfrühstück war von durchschnittlicher Qualität, die Betten nicht besonders bequem.
