Smoking allowed on the balcony where the jacuzzi also is. Smell of cigars somewhat dampened the experience. Our room was also directly above and we couldn’t have the doors open without the smell wafting up.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Great view of the mountains from the Junior Suite rooms and from the Jacuzzi (access included in the room price). Not sure about the view from the smaller rooms. Probably best to call to make sure you have a mountain view - it's totally worth it.
The food in the restaurant was not the best ever, but still very good for Switzerland. They were really pushing their Nems as if they've just discovered it (we didn't test them). On the other hand, we liked the Fondue Bourguignonne. The classical cheese fondue was good, but nothing exceptional.

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer, bei dem sich zwei der Betten in einem separaten, über eine Holztreppe erreichbaren oberen Bereich befanden. Unsere Kinder fanden diese Aufteilung sehr schön und hatten viel Freude daran. Leider war es dort nachts jedoch sehr warm. Da dieser obere Schlafbereich kein Fenster hat, konnte die Wärme nicht entweichen und der Raum auch nicht ausreichend belüftet werden. Obwohl die Außentemperaturen nachts angenehm kühl waren, blieb es oben sehr warm, wodurch die Kinder Mühe hatten einzuschlafen. Aus unserer Sicht eignet sich dieses Zimmer daher eher für die kühleren Wintermonate. Für einen Aufenthalt im Sommer würden wir es aufgrund der fehlenden Belüftungsmöglichkeit nur eingeschränkt empfehlen.

No a/c, and the weather was very hot, but come nightfall temperatures had dropped to a comfortable level. Seriously good breakfast. Hotel also has a restaurant. I ate there both nights. Very good food.
Really relaxing stay. The hotel is right at the top of Leysin. Twisty road to get to it - not a problem for me. There is no dedicated parking; you have to find a slot along the narrow road that serves the hotel.

Viel zu laut bei voll besetztem Hotel: Türen schliessen sehr laut und es gibt keine Vorkehrungen um gegen den Lärm vom Gang, Strasse oder Nachbarzimmer geschützt zu werden (Dichtungen an Türen, Teppiche, teilweise alte Fenster zur Strassenseite). Was sehr schade ist, da die Lage an für sich ruhig wäre

Shower was disappointing for the quality and price of the hotel. A shower tray and curtain in the corner of the room let this down - was expecting a shower cubicle and rain shower for the quality/price of accommodation. Parking was a real let down - had to park ½ mile away down a 30m slope and hike for 8 minutes back (and yes it was a hike).

The mattresses were not of the highest quality and seemed quite old. Unfortunately, this affected our sleep and made the night less comfortable. Breakfast was not excellent. The bread was stale, and the selection was very limited. However, the coffee was excellent.

Der Weg vom Bahnhof kann etwas weit sein mit Koffern. Es wäre schön, wenn Kaffee und Tee offeriert werden würden.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Staff is very helpful and friendly! The hotel is surrounded by wonderful nature and there are a lots of hikes. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant has a panoramic views.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Tout était parfaire, nous sommes restés 1 nuit de plus, confort de la literie, excellent petit-déjeuner, vue depuis notre chambre avec balcon, personnel adorable.
la salle de bains qui était très exigüe et surtout le bruit sur la terrasse du restaurant d'en-bas qui sont restés jusqu'à 23.30 sans s'occuper le moins du monde de toutes les chambres qui donnaient sur cette. Je l'ai signalé à la réception qui doit juste voir avec le propriétaire du resto pour faire respecter le sommeil de ses clients. J'espère que que ce sera fait mais c'est le seul point négatif.

La salle de bain un peu petit, surtout les toilettes. L'interdiction de fumer sur le balcon.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026C’est charmant, accueillant, le personnel est au top, et le jacuzzi extérieur c’est un vrai plus. L’accueil des chiens est très bien.
Ma seule remarque concerne les salles de bain. Elles datent un peu et mériteraient une mise au goût du jour et plus de fonctionnalité (rangements par exemple)
