Location: The location is great for accessing the park. It's just a few hundred meters via a wide sidewalk to the entrance. If you have a car you can go into town within 20 minutes drive, whether it be for dinner or seeing something else. Parking: There are plenty of parking spots just outside the hotel. We never had any issue finding a spot. The view: The view from the hotel is beautiful. Unfortunately you can't fully enjoy it from the room as the balcony is designed with a downward overhang. If you want to see the sky from a room with a balcony you have to squat down. Breakfast: The breakfast is decent. If you are lucky to be seated by the window you get a great view. It mostly focuses on salads and Korean breakfast (rice, kimchi, sprouts etc.). Furthermore there are a couple of baked goods, eggs, bacon, yoghurt, some cereals and that's about it. It's decent but not great. We stayed several nights and there is almost no variation between the days. - There is a small self-serve store on the ground floor which is nice. It offers some basics such as different drinks, cookies, cup noodles etc.

The room: In our room the wallpaper was partially coming off, the doors were crumbling away, the carpet had stains and a smell and the balcony was all around shabby. There is only one night stand for two beds. Only one power point by the bed. You can only control the lights via a little touchpad next to the bed, which is inconvenient. The room desperately needs a renovation. On the plus side the room is fairly large, comes with a fridge, kettle and a safe. However, that can't save the overall impression. - The bathroom: Positive is that it's a good size and has some shelf space. On the negative side it only has a standard and no bidet toilet. There is a bathtub/shower combo with a shower curtain. The sink is extremely low thereby making it unergonomic. Everything is rather run down. - Sound insulation: Basically non-existent. You can hear the next door neighbours talk, their alarm go off, their toilet, running water etc. If you are a light sleeper the piano music coming from speakers in the hallway starting before 7AM might wake you up. - Amenities: There isn't much really. If it gets dark you can have a fairly pricy dinner at the restaurant or drive into town. There is no spa, pool or anything like that. - Location: If you don't have a car you have to keep in mind there is not much around the hotel once you have finished your hike. There is a 7eleven and a few restaurants a couple of hundred meters down the street. That's it.

האמבט מראה כמו גקוזי, אבל תפקד רק כאמבט. המרחק מהמרכז, אילץ אותנו לקחת מוניות. אין מתקן למילוי מים בבקבוקים, אבל מביאים בקבוקי מים קטנים לחדרים ושביקשנו עוד נתנו לנו.

The location is indeed very close to seorak

The room was extremely dusty, The shower was uncomfortable and the sink is very low. Breakfest and dinner unproportionly expensive and there is no other option for food in the area (convenient stores are 20 min walk and have just snacks). The hotel had a weird smell and not at all as luxurious as seems in the pictures. I would recommend staying at Sokcho and taking a bus to Seorak. Kinsengton hotel does not worth your money, and is not a nice place to sleep when visiting.

Tourists arriving after check-in hours may have a very difficult time getting into the hotel. The only contact number provided is a local Korean phone number, so if you don’t have the ability to make calls to Korean numbers, you can basically be left stranded outside with no way to contact anyone. In our case, we were very lucky that some Korean guests happened to arrive and helped us by calling the hotel from their phone. They managed to reach someone who was apparently sleeping somewhere else and had to come over to the reception to let us in and help us access our room. We ended up standing outside for about 30 minutes with absolutely no way to contact the hotel ourselves. If you are an international tourist arriving late, this is definitely something you should be aware of.

욕실 천장에서 물이 엄청 새서 서비스 요청 서비스 했으나 10분 후 다시 물이 샘 다시 요청했으나 수리 실패 빈방이없어서 그 상태로 그냥 잠 적당한 금액 환불과 룸서비스 무료 약속함 일주일 기다렸더니 20만원 환불해줌 일주일 지나니 다시 연락와서 너무 많이 환불했다고 10만원 다시 입금하라고 함 전화랑 문자로 여러번 독촉해서 돈 입금함

매년방문하는데 올때마다 만족합니다. 특히 새로 리모델링된 객실은 청결도나 안락함 등이 매우 훌륭합니다. 위치도 설악산 트레킹하기나 주변 명소방문하기에 적합합니다. 프론트 직원들도 매우 친절합니다. 다시 방문하고싶은 호텔입니다.^^

특별히 아쉬웠던 점은 없습니다.

프런트데스크 직원분 친절하시구, 전반적인 분위기 좋았어요 우리는 설악산등산이 목적이어서 이 호텔을 잡았는데, 위치는 이보다 좋을순 없어요 아침 일찍 조식먹구 토왕성폭포까지 다녀와서. 샤워후 체크아웃했어요~ 이틀연속 설악산 산행하기 너무 편하고 좋았어요~ 조식도 부페식으로 샐러드.요거트.오믈렛등 종류는 아주 다양하지는 않지만 다 맛있어요~ 한식코너도 따로 있어서. 든든히 챙겨먹을수있었어요 굿굿

방과 복도에 깔려있는 카페트는 좀 오래되보여요 ㅠ

Older interior, not so clean in certain places

I was on the 8th floor. It was quiet and well kept. I loved that I could walk out the door and be in the park. I will definitely stay again! The food is incredible. However, be aware that portions are enormous and most will feed 2 people! I had the fried chicken and the Bouillabaisse. Both were perfectly delicious.

I cannot think of one thing I didn't like.

It’s in very good location, within 5 minutes walk to Seoraksan National Park entrance. The room and bathroom was clean and my husband and I both really liked the decorations and arts in the hotel.

There was little bit of language barrier with front staff.

생일이벤트없었지만 전망좋은방 부탁드렸는데, 8층 산뷰로해 주셔서 감사했습니다. 작년 현관 방향제 향이 머리아팠는데 올해 향기가 더 좋아요 조식도 맛있었습니다!

Rien en particulier mais le niveau d’anglais pourrait être mieux en réception

La ubicación, a la entrada del parque nacional. La amabilidad del personal, pese a sus limitaciones con el inglés, el desayuno buffet, la terraza mirador para relajarse tomando algo admirando el paisaje.

El hotel es espectacular pero, para tratarse de un cinco estrellas, las instalaciones estaban poco mantenidas y cuidadas. Por la zona hay mucho insecto, especialmente mosquitos y nuestra terraza estaba inundada de mosquitos muertos que no se limpio en ningún momento, por ejemplo. La nula variedad del menú in-room y la poca variedad del menú del restaurante.

직원분들 매우 친절했어요. 방은 냄새도 나고 쾌적하지 않았습니다. 욕조에 서면 샤워기 위치가 매우 낮았고 냉장고도 너무 작아서 물병도 세워둘 수 없었어요. 대대적인 보수가 필요해보입니다.

영국풍의 고급스러운.실내 인테리어가 최고였어요.특히.객실 복도에 세계.유명 인사들의 사진과 실제.기증받은 물품을 고급스럽게 진열해놓은것이.인상깊어요. 더욱 좋았던것은 설악산 뷰를 보며.식사할수 있는 고급스런 레스토랑은.아내가 두고두고.추억이.될거래요.

굳이 지적하자면 이른 아침 맨.위층 전망대를 가 보고싶었는데 오전 10시부터 오픈이라 닫여있었고. 살짝 문을 열려고 하니.도난경보사이렌 소리가.계속 울려서 놀랬어요

조용한 위치, 9층의 외부 음식 반입 가능한 무료라운지와 천체 망원경까지.

우선 프론트 직원분 너무너무 친절하십니다. 늘 강원도는 오션뷰만 찾다가 설악산뷰를 처음 경험했는데 너무 좋았구요. 아침에 안개낀 설악산이 너무 멋지고 시원했습니다. 조식도 너무 맛있습니다.

강원도 여행은 많이 왔는데 켄싱턴 호텔은 처음 와봤어요. 왜 진작 안왔을까 후회될 정도로 너무 만족스러운 여행이었습니다. 호텔이 오래되서 신축보다 안좋지않을까 생각했었는데 다녀본 호텔중에는 가장 좋았습니다. 입구부터 웅장한 느낌이고 로비부터 엘레베이터, 방까지 가는 복도까지 한시도 눈이 즐겁지 않은 순간이 없을정도로 너무 좋았습니다. 부모님도 너무 좋아하셨고 앞으로 강원도 여행 오게되면 무조건 켄싱턴호텔을 오게 될 것 같습니다. 직원분들도 너무 친절하시고 방 안도 너무 깨끗하게 관리가 너무 잘되는 것 같았습니다. 다른 지역으로 가게되도 켄싱턴 호텔이나 리조트가 있다면 무조건 가보고 싶을 정도로 너무 만족스러웠습니다. 여행에서 숙소가 차지하는 비중도 굉장히 크다고 생각했는데 켄싱턴 호텔 덕분에 최고의 여행이 되었습니다. 감사합니다.

너무 좋아서 집에 가기 싫을정도였습니다. 또 오고싶은데 당장 못오는게 아쉬울 것 같네요.

설악산과 가장 가까운 호텔입니다. 위치는 최고입니다. 노후된 호텔이지만 이마저도 엔틱한 느낌이라 좋고, 정말 깨끗합니다.

Het was echt een Engels hotel. Fijne kamer met mooi uitzicht. Hotel zelf is heel sfeervol en je loopt zo naar het park toe. Ontbijt is lekker. Restaurant ook lekker en evt vega optie. Neem ook een kijkje op het dakterras. Parkeren kan op het terrein, dat is gratis. Met OV kan ook. Wij namen heen vanaf Gangneung een taxi en terug een taxi naar Sokcho en de bus naar Seoul.

Alleen wel wat prijzig.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Wonderful stay and so close to the park! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

The only thing we had trouble with was trying to figure out the menus for what food was available. Otherwise the stay was wonderful

The location just outside the park is excellent. The breakfast was good.

They really need to renovate the rooms - the carpet was beyond acceptable and worn to the thread. The room and corridors had a very dusty unpleasant smell.

Extrem gute Lage für den Nationalpark

Für 4 Personen gebucht, nur ein Doppelbett gehabt. 2 Personen mussten auf dem Boden schlafen und es wurde als „Korean Style“ verkauft. Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, modriger Geruch

Schönes Hotel in Gehdistanz von wenigen Minuten zum Nationalpark. Hat uns sehr gefallen und war alles vorhanden. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit als Familie.

You can't beat the location of this place, right on the edge of Seorak National Park. Stylish and comfortable with an amazing breakfast buffet.

설악산이 멋진 고풍스러운 숙소였습니다. 조식의 강원도 특산요리가 만족스러웠어요! 영국풍 인테리어와 테마가 이국적이라 기억에 남습니다.

아무래도 오래된 호텔이다보니 노후되어보이는데 옛 스타들의 애장품으로 더 노후되어보였습니다. 차라리 영국느낌나는 다른 소품으로 통일감만 줘도 깔끔해 보일 것 같아요. 애비로드카페는 비틀즈 테마가 주가 되어야할 곳이나 음악부터가 유튜브 AI뮤직으로 실망스러웠습니다.

De locatie was perfect om het National Park te bezoeken. De kamers waren ruim en proper. En er was een gratis self-laundry, waar we goed gebruik van gemaakt hebben. Het ontbijt was heel uitgebreid en lekker. En er waren leuke gezelschapsspellen in de bar.

Bit dated and old. The theme is strange and the hotel would do better being normal and renovated to be more modern.

산속에 위치해 시원하고 산책하기 좋았습니다.

피트니스 센터가 없다는게 아쉬웠습니다. 너무 더워 밖에서 운동하기 힘들때 운동할 수 있는 공간이 필요합니다.

조식이 괜찮았고 호텔의 룸 컨디션이 좋았으며, 호텔의 역사를 전시한 전시품들이 좋았다.

모든게 다 생각 이상으로 좋았으나 아쉬웠던점이 한개 있는데 화잘실 변기 청소가 제대로 안되어 있어서 조금 아쉬웠다.

Staff was very kind and helpful. Good value for money also considering the proximity to the Seoraksan’s visitor’s center.

설악산과 가까워 산책하기 좋다. 조용하다

프런트 직원의 친절에 감동입니다. 주차장도 좋은데 폭은좀.. 가성비는 좋지만, 좀더 적극적 유치를 위해서는 주중 할인폭은 늘리면 좋을 듯합니다.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter le temple, chambre tres correcte avec une literie très confortable, le petit déjeuner est très bien avec du chinois, coréen et américain. La vue depuis les chambres est magnifique

Les aspects extérieurs et couloirs n'ont plus été rénovés depuis la princesse Diana dont les photos jaunies sont affichées partout. Au second degré, on se croirait dans les années 90. Le restaurant sert un menu avec un choix de repas européen très limité, pas terrible et relativement cher pour la qualité et quantité.

Run down hotel, bathrooms are ill-constructed, shower drain did not work properly, dining facilities do not look at all as on the photos for advertising, e.g. no white table cloth. Overall, the hotel seems to be stuck in the 90s.

La décoration de la salle du petit déjeuner mériterait peut être un rafraîchissement.

Great location for hiking the park. Its 5 mins walk up the road. Breakfast was pretty good, and you can load up snacks for the day hikes. There is also a shop in the lobby that sells water and other essentials. Staff were pleasant, helpful and polite. Great views of the mountains at breakfast. Free parking

For some reason it was not possible to turn off the underfloor heating in the room, so it turns into an oven, and if you leave anything on the floor it'll get very hot - food stuffs will melt etc, products will go runny etc. The room gets very stuffy and the aircon is a bit annoying to use. Our sink had a leak which sent water everywhere, but was swiftly fixed by the staff.

저녁에 2층 레스토랑 이용했어요. 가격대비 맛도 좋았고 구성도 좋았어요. 직원들 서비스도 만족스럽습니다. 9층에서 커피랑 디저트 먹었는데 친절한 직원덕에 맛있게 잘 먹고 훌륭한 전망도 즐길수 있어 만족스럽습니다.

온돌형 객실인데 침대가 들어가니 좁은 감이 있었어요. 좌식의자도 조금 불편했습니다.

El hotel está un poco anticuado, yo creo que había que hacer alguna renovación. Independientemente de seguir manteniendo su estilo británico

Excellent location to park. Wonderful mountain views! Many spots in the lobby are picturesque. 9th floor café and observatory was nice.

Interior is dated, in need of renovation/repairs. There is high interior moisture, possible mold issues. Air quality issues inside of the room, opening the window does not do much.

Le cadre est magnifique. L espace des chambre est très agréable.

Le personnel manque de sourire. Nous ne nous sommes pas sentis les bienvenus. Le petit déjeuner est assez cher et propose très peu de choses occidentales. Pas de chocolat chaud, pas de croissant. Au niveau des boissons chaudes très limites. Vous êtes heureux si vous avez envie de manger un bibimbzp au réveil. La salle de bain est un peu vieillotte .

The location of the hotel was amazing. The facilites such as the shop and laundry were great and the resataurant was a great place for breakfast to start us off before a hike. good selection of food.

Rooms were a little dated. Shower needs updating to something modern. otherwise it was perfect and clean so no complaints

Sehr gute Lage direkt im Nationalpark. Der Convenience Store im Hotel ist sehr praktisch, da sonst im Parks keine Läden sind.

Fantastic location in national park, short walk to start of trails and bus stop right outside. Lovely food in restaurant. Great view of mountains. Nice quiet room, very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed for a week at least.
