Motueka Garden Motel

The location was was perfect close to town but just far away to not hear the town traffic and get the great views of the sunrise and trees, the room. we had was great to playground right outside great for the kids and easy to keep an eye on them. bedrooms had plenty of space

This is our regular go to motel when I'm visiting family in Motueka. Rooms are great and spacious. Love how there is a small lounge off from the bedroom and also very modern.

Dog friendly is a great start lol. Very polite and accommodating. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the huge area for our dogman great. Mack loved it.

Needs some tlc and maintenance/repairs/paint work especially in the bathroom, the towel rail fell off when my husband put a towel on it. There were 3 lights that didn’t work. No heating in the bedrooms so we had to leave the doors open to get the heating through from the living area. Young woman at reception was offhand and not friendly or welcoming.

Strongly not recommended to stay at this motel!!!! Staying for 2 days, NO electric blanket was provided during winter!!! (It was listed as 1 of the facilities) When asked at reception, I was told the electric blanket was damaged and there was no replacement, also I was simply told to turn on the heat pump in the living room to warm the bedroom, which was not adequate. We had force to slept at the living room!!! The bathroom was dirty! The heat pump remote control was not functioning properly!

Location was great. Room was clean and tidy. It was quiet.

Could have done with a heater in the bathroom. And there wasn't a coffee table to put you drink/ glasses / phone on in the lounge. Not enough power points. None beside the beds and only one in the lounge.

Manager was very accommodating and helpful.

Bathroom needs a revamp/refresh.

It fitted our needs for a brief one-night stay.

The bathroom smelt mouldy. There was mould visible at the bottom of the shower.

The room was spacious and clean. It was quiet and located very close to the garden. I had undercover parking which was useful as it was raining. Heatpump was a plus.

Soap! There was only a small tube of shampoo/conditioner. Thank goodness for washing up liquid and only staying one night. The stains on the sofa were really off-putting and there was just a general tiredness about the unit.

Clean room

We absolutely loved our room and all that it offfered. Having a shaded carpark was a bonus too. We loved being able to hop into the pool and cool off after a long hot day.

Das Personal ist freundlich u hilfsbereit. Die Betten sind gut, alles da, was man braucht. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber gut gepflegt. Gerne wieder.

The wooden stairs going up to our room where very worn and didn't feel safe, lots of other noisey guests staying, the rain

Whilst the unit was basic it was very good value for money.

Comfortable place with a pool and enough cooking equipment to make a meal.

It was too far to walk to the shops and commercial center.

Friendly welcome and all round helpfulness of the managing team. We stayed in a 2 bed unit which was light and spacious for two of us and we appreciated the covered over parking space. The unit wasn’t modern or flash but it was clean, tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a problem with water supply while we were there but the managing team dealt with it efficiently and kept us up to date regularly with progress, we were impressed by that.

Einrichtung etwas in die Jahre gekommen, spärlich ausgestattete Küche (stumpfe Messer, Salz und Pfeffer hat gefehlt), sehr hellhörig (Trampeln, Unterhaltungen und Toilettenspülung der oberen Nachbarn war deutlich hörbar)

Pas de plaque de cuisson. Il y avait un appareil électrique mais nous ne l’avons pas testé.

The staff were awesome and the facilities were clean, current and warm. Great layout, the pool was great too!

We loved the bedrooms and kitchen.

Steps are very bad now. We scared to walk upstairs with luggage and kids are walking very slowly in the rainy time.

Location is fine if you have a car, 5 min drive to restaurants and supermarket. 20 mins to Kaiteriteri. Room was quiet. My large one bedroom room didn't have any floors above it. didn't hear any road noise or noise from adjacent rooms. The room was spacious easy check-in and checkout.

Room is feeling dated but functional.
