BOOKING DOT COM MADE ERROR BOOKING TWO DAYS AHEAD STAFF AT HOTEL GAVE US A ROOM ANYWAYS.
Amazing views, super quiet. Bed was really comfortable
Found the room got very cold overnight. We had turned the heater off as it was very noisy, but the room cooled down very quickly.
The location, the view, breakfast was good and the staff were lovely
We specifically booked a room with a bath but got allocated a different room. Went to staff and were apologetic with the mix up and it was rectified as good as can be for us. Upon entering the room it was very musty smelling, windows have hand marks all over it, next to the toilet on the wall was markings of god knows what, the mugs were dusty and one was full of dust and water and the heater was good but no way to turn down the fan so was very loud. Room could have done with a microwave too but other than was good
resturant onsite a bonus, room tidy
therwes a slight smell in rooms
Kinda decent location
Nothing like the pictures posted. No extra blankets. Requested a baby cot, was approved but wasn’t in the room when we arrived. Baby cot didn’t have a mattress, and we got given two TOWELS to be used as BLANKETS.
Tidy and comfortable
A budget hôtel stuck in 1987, at a considerable price. Hard Pillows probably also vintage. First hotel room the toilet didn’t flush. Had to be moved. No cutlery provided beyond glasses mugs and teaspoons-short sighted to think this will force guests to eat in their restaurant. The most unwelcoming loveless environment inside the restaurant. The restaurants coffee machine was broken so even that failed the client. A trip to The Death Star Cafeteria would have been preferable. This hotel chain needs to refurbish and refurbish it’s attitude towards the business. A miserly business model. It is lazy and cynical to rely on tour bus contracts and invest the absolute minimum in keeping the business ticking over. You can’t just extract as a corporation. Corporate cynicism is always transparent to the client or guest. Keep going this way and the hotel chain will fail.
The location to area.
Every day in the morning and the evening loads of buses of Chinese tourists arrive at night around 6pm and leave in the morning at around 6:30am/7:30am. They have no manners ansd in the breakfast area eat and act like people who have never seen food nor experienced manners. They were filling up their water bottles from the cranberry and milk dispensers. Reaching across you when you are trying to choose your own food. The experience was very off-putting. When I questioned the floor manager at the time "How do you put up with this?" he said that he could do nothing otherwise they would lose the clientele booking agency. They were even walking out filling up their pockets with additional food items.
staff were lovely
it is very dated and a destination for transiting tour buses so very busy
Unfortunately for me there was a sports event on in the area and the hotel was packed with teenagers. Was a bit noisy until 9pm and the restaurant was very full. Avoided breakfast to avoid the crowd. Unlucky timing for me. Happy to stay again.
It was very central to where we wanted to go. The restaurant. Food and Staff was amazing
The rooms felt cold and damp as were the beds no.electric blankets and very hard
Shower was not the cleanest , the top of the recessed shelf looked like It had not been wiped down for a long time. The shower mixer was also worn out so it was hard to set the temp , too hot or cold and sometimes it would lose friction and fall down to the off position.
Good location. Clean units
Nothing thought everything was good
Compact but very comfortable unit.
It was quiet, comfortable. Was a good stay and easy to find. Lovely people
Nothing
Good location, comfortable clean room.
Restaurant really busy with coach parties.
Convenient place to break the journey between Alexandra and Christchurch
No Sky TV, intermittent internet. Peeling wallpaper and damp patches
Room 109 was not cleaned until 7:00 PM. The keys were handed over to us before the room had been serviced, and we had to coordinate with the reception staff until it was ready. We finally received the cleaned room at 7:00 PM.
Not well organized and room 109 was very dirty at the time of receiving the key. We had to wait till 7pm to receive the room 109
Was able to change from an upstairs to a downstairs room. Bed very comfortable. Good sized room. Parking outside room. Friendly staff.
Good room size
Very noisy. Lots of tour buses.
The location was good, and the restaurant food was amazing. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
The rooms are quite dated for the price they are charging. Plus a bus load of tourists came in at 9pm and made a racket. The hot water took ages to come through and the pressure in the shower dismal. The jug was only able to be plugged in near the tv screen and the lampshades were cracked. When the bathroom light was switched on the fan came on and it was so noisy.
Comfortable spacious room. Bedding was comfortable and warm. Included breakfast was great .. good selection of food. Omarama is a lovely town. Staff were friendly
Location and comfort
Restaurant attached only had buffet available the night we wanted to go.
Location ,clean,nice staff
Quite dated for price
Nice room and views
Restaurant meal was appalling. We ordered vegetable soup of the day and a crusty roll. I’m convinced it was packet or canned soup (not a vegetable to be seen and so watery it was translucent) and the roll was two finger size slices of bread. It was expensive too.
Prima kamer, goed bed.
A good stopping point on way to Mt Cook
Was Ok and buffet meal was good Too many bus loads of passing tourists
Good size room
Shower was poor - very low pressure
Great location, right behind Bike it Now bike shop, which I needed to get a new tire. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Super clean and felt luxurious. Too bad it was raining as there was a nice back area that one could sit and relax in.
Room was good
Restaurant staff bit to casual, went really customer focused
Handy stop location to break up a long drive. Restaurant and bar was good. Staff lovely. Booked 2 rooms, large room was good and had a balcony, beds were comfy.
Other room was small and dark, wallpaper peeling and furniture in need of upgrading.
Little.
Too noisy from cars and trucks. No double glazing. Aged facilities and
One stop shop, accomodation, laundry, bar and dining. After day’s motorcycle riding its was good to just stop and relax
Location and staff help with info
Room was clean and comfortable
I sent my meal back to the kitchen as it was cold.
Spacious, clean and comfortable. Gardens well maintained
Water is extremely hot, shower awkward for older people as large step to get in and out.
Location. Roomy. Reception staff wonderful!!!Upstairs and downstairs rooms. Hot showers, close to other retail, evening buffet meals available breakfast and dinner.
Sadly our stay coincided with bus tours, people noisy talking outside rooms later in the night, the noise of luggage moving on the upper stairs echoed to the ground floor rooms.
tired property
Excellent location, pubs, eateries, shops. Quiet
Nothing
This is a nice place on the way to Queenstown. The rooms are good and comfortable. The bath and shower is good. There are not much places around for dining, but the hotel has a restaurant and suprisingly have good selection of food and also offer a buffet, which was very good. Seems quite popular as was packed with guests. The food is great and reasonably priced. Parking is plenty.
Good location Restaurant good Warm and comfortable
Not a lot
Cold room asked for heater and blankets. 2 of us and only one chair. Shower was very slippery and no safety rails
Nothing
I booked a superior room with a balcony and mountain views. They put me in a ground-floor room, with the window facing the stairs to the upper-floor balcony and the gas station. I found it offensive, as I paid for something and didn't receive the service I had booked
You need a booklet in the room to let quests know what’s about…
The restaurant were very kind and let me take food to our room as my husband was unwell
Location
Hotel is too old
Spacious Clean Wifi
Mosquitoes No ventilation No air con
Room was OK Staff friendly enough and helpful Bed was comfy
Very poor water pressure in the shower to the point that it was almost not worth having one. Also poor pressure at the basin. Room was dated & def in need of a refurb. Breakfast luke warm & not fresh on 2 out of 3 occasions - cooked breakfast had clearly been sitting out for some time.
Stayed here for the location. The rooms were sizeable and had pretty much everything you might need.
The staff were a bit rude on checking in and sent us off site to the local cafe as we were 18 minutes earlier than the check in time. The room had a strange smell that we couldn’t get used to. Everything was very dated including the bed linen. This would all be acceptable if it wasn’t for the cost - at $350 per night you’d expect better.
Location. good breakfast.
It's good nice clean
Room needs to be air out there a musty in room
Better pillows
Liked the location being so close to all the important infrastructure, room size was large.
The noise from the traffic was annoying, the bathroom needs an upgrade, the shower mixer was hopeless and the shower lining has a massive hole in it letting water into the framework i would think, mould in the bathroom, shower over bath not convenient at all. Bed really old and uncomfortable.
The location
The smell in the room
Very comfortable stay and handy to amenities.
Restaurant closed at 8pm.
Good location
Worst shower ever - very little dribble of water and barely above warm. Would not stay there again No aircon in a hot stuffy room. Not well cleaned.
Comfortable beds, excellent restaurant and reception
